Bad Hand

Recommended Posts

Every deck gets them. Discuss the moments where you lost a duel/tournament because of a bad hand or where you still managed to win with a bad hand and what deck you were using. Have you ever drew three of the same copies of a card in your opening hand? This sometimes happens to me in the DS game. I drew all three of my Blue Thunder T-45 before.

Deck Type: Disaster Dragons

Opening hand:
Prime Material Dragon
Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon
Blue-Eyes White Dragon
Blue-Eyes White Dragon
Strong Wind Dragon

My turn first. I draw:
Polymerization

I say "F*** it, I'm going down in style!" I play the Poly, fuse for FGD, and end my turn.
Next turn, my opponent sets 3, and ends.

I draw Giant Trunade, play it, and swing for 5k.
Next turn, he sets 3 again.

I draw into De-Fusion, which I had sided in for absolutely no reason. De-fuse my FGD, and swing with all my monsters.
His face-downs were two D-Prisons and a Magic Cylinder.

Oh wow. I applaud you, sir. That's one of the best laughs I've had in a LONG while. xD

My deck doesn't get bad hands unless I have terrible luck and draw something impossible, so I don't have a story to share about them. :/

Once my Naturia opened up with 2 cherries and 3 upstart. I drew into Pot of Avarice, triple upstarted, and drew the last cherries and LaDD and something like Starlight Road. I scooped. There was also a time when I ran a Divine Beast deck and opened up with Dreadroot and Obelisk and no other monsters.

I know you're all saying bad hands happen and there's not much you can do about it, but all I'm seeing is a bunch of bad hands caused by using bad cards in bad decks.

Solution to problem: Don's suck so hard and learn to recognise risky cards when deckbuilding.

I am going to follow what your signature says... because what your post says is true... so true

Original Decks Get Bad Hands, NetDecks Rarely Get Them.
That doesn't mean one is better than the other.

Original Deck Example: Joey's Deck
NetDeck Example: Top 32 Decklists from YCS Charlotte

------

Anyway, I get bad hands from time to time, but not too much since after making my deck I test it then tweak it and test again, until I reduce the chance of drawing the wrong stuffs. Thats me anyway, so yeah!

This isn't a stupid post at all... it's just retarded.
Original Deck Example: Joey's Deck
Tell that to one of the hundreds kids that use it.

Except that it does.

I was using Infernities the other day and drew an opening hand of:

Infernity Necromancer, Infernity Archfiend, Infernity Mirage, Infernity Break, Infernity Barrier, Mystical Space Typhoon.

My next two cards?

Infernity Avenger, and another Mystical Space Typhoon.

I was like,

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
