Some of his friends got him a deck together as a favor, and he used them to compete in a tournament in his area. He came up second, but was noticed by a professional duelist who sponsored him to go to another tournament, which he got first place. He then entered central academy to help the organization, and is one of its top members.

Bio: John's family on his mother's side was heavily involved with the Yakuza, whilst his father's family ran a junkyard. As a child, he was trained up to navigate his mother's family's world, and became involved in the criminal underworld of Japan. As a very good duelist, he was often sent to collect the debts of various second-rate duelists who tried to beat other collectors off. Eventually he was tracked down by a representative of a small group, who on the surface were trying to deal with duel gangs, but in truth investigated the various supernatural elements of duel monsters. When he joined the group, he adopted his current name to keep the attention of family members who would oppose his decision away from him as much as possible. He soon found he had to protect one of his mother's cards, which contained a duel spirit, from members of his family who wanted the card's power. His mother was ill at the time, and shortly after her death her hospital room was raided for the card, however it had already been passed on to John's sister, who to this day holds the card. Fortunately those who seek the card believe she doesn't have it, she is unaware of it's power, and she is now at duel academy and a good duelist in her own right. However, the painting of his sister as a threat has given him a more personal reason to enter the tournament...

Appearance: Fairly tall, and whilst Japanese he can pass as being Caucasian. His hair is short and black, and he has brown eyes. He is thin, but healthy. He usually wears a brown trenchcoat over a black leather jacket and black trousers, along with a white shirt and black boots. His duel disk is similar to Yusei's but with the central card zone in line with the graveyard slot, and two slots either side.

Bio: Izumi was the youngest child, and the only girl, of a junk merchant. Her mother, the daughter of a Yakuza boss, was always ill and died when she was still fairly young, leaving her without any major female influence, and thus she was perhaps the most interested of her family in her father's work. Her mother, before she died, entrusted her with a card. Not knowing it's significance, she left it in her room, which was raided for it. Fortunately, her brother had removed the card first, and warned her to keep it with her and secret. She later took up dueling herself, and being better than most of her family, entered duel academy. As one of the better duelists in the school, she was entrusted with the safety of one of the keys, and whilst she wanted to do it by herself, entering the tournament brought the situation to the attention of at least one person who will support her...

Deck type: Junk - swarms low-level monsters to Sycnhro Summon.

Appearance: Fairly short, with black hair usually in a ponytail, and brown eyes. She has a fairly slim build, and looks frail, although she's actually quite tough. When not in uniform, she wears a green jacket open over a black t-shirt, dark jeans and dark walking shoes. Her duel disk is a standard duel academy model, in red, modified with a custom auto-shuffler.

I'll add the custom cards soon - they're not the aces (unless I make their mother's card, but that wouldn't be used except as a last resort anyway), so it won't be a major problem if they need modifying.

[Spoiler=Summary/Begining]Slowly but surely Central Academy has begun its decent into the back of peoples minds. The number of Pro Duelists to come from this area have decreased dramatically over the years. An evil organization within KiabaCorp has begun its take over of the schooling department of the company. These people have chosen the path to tear down the once prestigious school to build a new one, one that shall serve their purpose of creating an academy to raise evil duelist to form an army and take over the word. But as fail safe designed be Seto Kiaba, the Academy cannot be destroyed without nine keys of fate to prevent coups from destroying the academy. Nine students have been choosen to protect these keys and each one of them have been invited to take part in a new tournament that will pit the best duelists in the world against one another. Many other duelist have entered this tournament but not for the same reasons as the children from Academia Island. These Nine Keyholes as depicted by the Organization trying to take over the Island, have been a troublesome bunch to be defeated. Were you chosen by the Academy or have you decided to help the Organization take over the one game every person in the world holds dear?

Bio: an mercenary ace pilot with a shroud of mystery surrounding him, his 1st loyalty is to himself. He couldnt care less about the hoopla about keys, he plays the evil witin KaibaCorp for suckers for easy large amounts of cash which is used on food, luxuries and the black market tech needed to keep his ship running. his only permanent companion is his loyal AI Gradius, which acts as his half concience and half ego booster. Gradius also communicates via helmet, often giving him (questionable) dueling advice or insulting the opponent. He is laid back but quick to throw out obsceneties and can be cocky about his dueling and piloting abilites. not only is he someone who enjoys the finer things in life, extravagant meals, tech and expensive trinkets, he is also a shameless flirt, delibrately flirting with peoples mothers, sisters, or girlfriends right infront of them. when hes lazy he will fall asleep leaving Gradius to pilot, much to his ire.

Deck: Konami Games Deck. focuses on weakening opposing attacking monsters and strengthining my attacking monsters, triggering their effects, as well as using Lightwave Tuning to synchro summon for easy 8 star monsters and swarming with tokens.
