Just so you know. Click the link above to view the latest release. I'll be releasing parts of the Screenplay in "chapters", probably around 10 pages per release (120 minutes in total, that's two hours of film). I'll post here every time there is a new update. Plot: Harry Potter, Head Auror, is contacted by the Minister of Magic stating he is needed for an urgent mission. A group of unknown Dark Wizards, some of them old Death Eaters, have been attacking innocent muggles. Feeling it is just another easy task to deal with, Harry sets out to deal with them alone. He was wrong. Writer Notes: Screenwriter Sam Stapleton has stated that, "I consider this project very different from all of my others, mainly because it is difficult to do if I wish to listen to all the restraints currently put in place. If I were to rewrite the Harry Potter series, I'd have creative control over what would happen. Writing after the events of the epilogue however, I've got my shackles on me with who is dead, and things like that. I have to remain in JK's world". He also said that he was originally reluctant to write in the timezone after the events of the Deathly Hallows, but changed his mind later on. When queried on the whereabouts of the trio's children, he merely responded, "This is still Harry's story. Not theirs. They're in Hogwarts where they assume they are safe." bury the year
Harry seems out of character to me, for some reason. His mannerisms seems too world-weary to fit properly: after all the trials he went through in the series proper, I think he would've lightened up a bit, because anyone would be happy for getting some sort of routine. Then again, this is only the first 10-odd pages, so I can't say whether something revealed in flashback will explain this. Anyways, good work, and I hope you get to finish this one. ;
Brushfire
Harry seems out of character to me, for some reason. I see where you're coming from, but as Head of the Auror Office he'd surely have to be pretty world-weary. Or at least concerned for a number of things- his children, the reappearance of Death Eaters, etc. (probably dealing with extreme problems every day and while this is definitely down his alley, I don't think he'd be happy as such. Thinking of all the Aurors in the actual series, no one apart from Tonks was ever really happy). Thanks a lot for the feedback! I also really hope I'll get to finish this one. I'm better with Screenplays than I was with my novel fan-fics though. I finished Spider-Man and nearly finished Spider-Man 2 after all. Thanks again.
