He waited a few seconds, then fired a Portal at the surface he moved. He watched as Daniel was launched up to the door. He stepped off the button and got within Daniels view. "Ok! Now get me up!" "Once you are up here we can go to the next room." Daniel was really suprized they havent heard from [i]her[/i] yet. that is abnormal but might be an advantageous. His portals were strange colors at that, espicially the clear one. [i]What is up with that?[/i] Daniel thought. Atleast Adam isnt freaking out like Daniels brother did. I assume you meant advantage.] Adam nervously walked through the Portal, since he is still a little sketchy about the technology used. He let out a sigh of relief when he didn't get vaporized by the Portals. "Ok...give it to me straight. What is with this place? Why am I here? Why are you here? What are with these guns? They do tests on humans and robots to see if these portal guns we are handeling are sutable for warfare. Atleast that is what my brother told me. They pick random people on the streets and use this gas they created call Neurotoxin to get them here. We are in testing right now. These guns are advanced weaponry but only work for transporting to normally unreachable places. These guns can not harm a person or animal so dont worry. Do you really want to know why im here?" The boots felt like they were pushing her feet to stand on her tiptoes, but in a slightly natural way. It felt slightly awkward to walk in at first, but she eventually got the hang of it. She managed to find a peculiar, egg shaped device, with mechanical portions on the other half. She couldn't identify it, but judging from the way it was up on a pedestal, it seemed might important. Unfortunately, since she had never seen a portal gun before in her entire life and had no one to interact with, she cluelessly looked the portal gun over, entirely confused as to what to do. "Hello!? Forget I asked. I'd be better off not understanding what's going on here anyway." He peered back at him. "And by the way. Last time I checked, Neurotoxin kills people. [size="1"]What a weirdo.[/size]" Adam walked through the door, and looked around. Nothing but gray walls, and a slight bit of white floor up ahead. He sighed. "Alright, Daniel. Come on through." He stood there for a second. After a few moments, he called back. "Come on! We don't have all day." He waited a bit more. Sighing, he turned around. "Look, am I going to have to drag you in...here..." Adam came face to face with a closed door. No Daniel, no nothing. "Uh...Daniel? You here?" [OOC: Look at the testing chamber. There are two doors. The Longfall boots worked just as well as he remembered. Soon he was out of the chamber and staring at the gun that brought them here. Just in case, he tested the portal on the walls. A ocean blue and gold colored portals manifested on the wall next to himself. He stuck his hand through the cerulean portal; it came out the saffron one. He tested the gun because he knew of some testers who tried the gun, and wound up embedded in the walls. But enough of the easy stuff. He ran to the elevator, ready for the first chamber. He felt on it, which was one one of the worst things he can do. "AHH! F--- THAT HURTS LIKE A B----!" He shrieked! He quickly got up. Suddenly he took a good look around. He noticed a big button on the floor. He limped himself over there in pain. He noticed a door opened. Then he limped off to it, but it shut. He quickly understood it. He steps on the button, it opens, if he doesn't, stays shut. He noticed he had a weird bug shaped laser on him. He stood on the button, and he shot it to the room behind the wall. On it it said "1" He shot it again, this time right in front of him. He could see a iron oxide circle across the room, and a lightning yellow one in front of him. He took a slight step towards it and it sucked him right in. He jumped out of the Iron Oxide one. The Wall shut. He saw a door with a blue dot on it glowing. It opened, he stepped through, he saw another room. "Not again, this is BS!" He screamed, "You know what, this is all a dream." *Slaps himself silly* "Dammit, not a dream! "Come on! Give it!" [font=Lucida Sans Unicode][color=#4B0082]"NEIN!!!"[/color][/font] GLaDOS watched the test subjects begin their tests. She was rather pleased with herself for making those pre-recorded announcements of herself so she didn't have to actually speak, but simply let a subroutine she called "Genetic Lifeform and Demonstration of Cunning Over You", or "GLaD-COY" for short, help monitor the testing and send out pre-recorded dialogues to the testers. That way, unless they had encountered GLaDOS before, like her friend arguing with the Party Associate, they would not know that most of her regulatory cores had been removed. He stared at the Party Assosiate before proposing, "look, when I control this facility, I'll make sure there'll be plenty of parties to occur, all you have to do is give him his Portal Gun and get me one. You do that, all the parties you would ever want, soon too. Deal?" He needed this to work, if not... no, it was best to not take failure into consideration. "I must be hearing things." He hears them again. Suddenly he ran towards the end of the walkway. There was a cliff, he stopped right before he could have fallen off. The jump looked to painful to take a quick leap to. "Anyone out there?" He shouted. A computerized voice came out saying, "The only way your getting through here is if you use that gun. The Portal Gun. 1st, shoot one right in front of you. Now, shoot one down the cliff." Clyde did like he was told. "Now for testing, put your foot through, just your foot. Now look at the other portal, but your foot must remain in the portal." Clyde looked in amazement, he saw his foot going through the other portal. "This is amazing." He jumped in. He came right out. He was told before that it was a portal gun and he had to go through test chambers. It was more compact than the portal gun that he had the last time. He entered the door. He was in a room with a single button on the floor. He stepped on the button with one foot. "Not too hard" he said to himself, "Just have to figure this thing out". He felt two triggers. He gripped the first one, and sparks hit the floor where he was aiming. He gripped the other one and more sparks hit the floor. He determined it to be broken, as he continued pulling triggers. He flexed all of his fingers, and pulled both triggers. Energy crackled between the pincer-like parts of the gun. He had no idea as to what it did, and didn't feel like testing energy on himself. He saw a cube laying on the ground. Aperture Laboratories was inscribed on all sides. He aimed the device at the box, hoping nothing bad would happen. As he pulled both triggers, the cube was lifted off the ground. Pulling both triggers activated a grabbing mechanism. He placed the cube on the button, holding the barrier open. Who are you? Why are we sol- bah, forget it. I'll never have any of my questions answered." He walked out towards the middle of the room. He looked up, and saw Daniel, peering down on him. "Oh...hey. So...you think you can jump down from there? I mean, if you can, it'd be pretty great, as I can see a way to solve this room by looking up on that edge over there. So...come on. Jump. I mean, it's not...that...far down, is it? Like what, 7 feet maybe? You might only get a, uh, I don't know, sprained ankle if you're unlucky...yeah, uh...now that I think about it, we have had pretty bad luck, by just ending up here, I mean...uh, never mind...so, come on. He looked around and saw that there was a security camera that pointed right at his blind spot, he saw the there was a white ceiling. "Id perer not to jump that, so go forward and look at the ceiling, it is white, so if you place one up there and one at the ground here ill be just fine ok?" Daniel jumped and the boots too all the shock "Wow! thats amazing, how do these work??? Ok, this is no time for experiments." Daniel saw the button up ahead and walked up too it and pressed it.
