A sensation of hatred, fear, confusision, and regret. But all that could wait for him, for he couldn't breath. He gasped for air as no one came into his sight, was he going to die? That would've been lucky, instead, the capsule holding him opened as he flew forward, filling his lungs with every last drop of sweet, sweet air. A question still bugged him, where was he? It was then, he thought about all that he could remember. The mass death, the nureotoxin, and a voice. A voice that would haunt his mind for every next year of his life. He knew where he was, The Aperture Science Enrichment Center. And it was then when he heard the voice he wished has stopped and never touched him again, [i]her[/i] voice. These new "Motorrets" were ingenious. Sort of. He didn't know if it really was all that clever to stick wheels onto a turret's legs and attach a motor, but it sure was giving him hell, since the turrets could now right themselves. But he was so close to getting to her. He knew it might be pointless once more, but he had to try. She had to be tired of him constantly breaking out of the testing track. He had forgotten how long he had been here, but he figured they were both getting tired of this same-old same-old. He saw a trio of the newly-built Motorrets turn around a corner and head into his trap: two large splotches of Conversion Gel on the floor and ceiling. He was glad he stole a bucket of each gel, which he now carried around his waist using part of his suit as a belt. The leader was about to roll onto the floor splotch when he whipped around and fired a brass-colored portal at the ground, then a gunmetal-colored portal the the ceiling. The lead turret fell through the portal below it, which connected to the portal above it, creating an infinite loop. The next two Motorrets were unable to stop in time, and fell through with their comrade. He grinned and dashed madly, until he saw the familiar catwalk and the Aperture Science Material Emancipation Grid. He ran like hell to the circular tower up ahead, until he reached a chamber with a spidery robot with a red eye, a spherical device on a rail, and a huge monstrosity of a computer hanging from the ceiling with a glowing gold eye. [font=Lucida Console][color=#FFD700]"Congratulations."[/color][/font] The giant computer announced in a feminine voice. [font=Lucida Console][color=#FFD700]"You beat your previous record by about 23 minutes, which is amazing considering all of the additional traps I threw at you."[/color][/font] "To hell with you and your Thermal Discouragement Beams and your Edgeless Safety Cubes and your Motorrets! I want out! My contract HAS to be up by now!" [font=Lucida Console][color=#FFD700]"Sadly, it isn't, and you may be getting tired, but I am not. Every time you escape, I get to...improvise...so to speak. I have to make sure you won't make a beeline for my chamber, but not take the wrong route altogether. I have to add some traps and ambushes, but not enough to kill you, since our contract states I cannot."[/color][/font] "Bullsh*t! You've killed me 7 times!" [font=Lucida Console][color=#FFD700]"ALMOST killed you. Believe me, you were still alive. He tried to grab the device on his chest, the only thing between him and his vengeance, only to be shocked by the tiny machine. He grimaced and tried to bear the thousands of volts surging through his nervous system, which would've killed an ordinary man by now, but he finally went under, collapsing on the floor. His friends won't even realize he's dead!"[/color][/font] [font=Lucida Console][color=#FFD700]"His friends are the ones who are currently supplying us with the materials we need to rebuild my facility after that little idiot almost tore this place apart, plus they informed us of the contents of Shaft 07. Speaking of which..."[/color][/font] The two turned to the observing sphere. [font=Lucida Sans Unicode][color=#00FF00]"It's almost completely excavated."[/color][/font] The little eye-like sphere told the two in a slightly higher-pitched voice than the other female's. [font=Lucida Sans Unicode][color=#00FF00]"We are just about ready to begin the moving process."[/color][/font] [font=Lucida Console][color=#FFD700]"Good."[/color][/font] The computer replied as a robot with a head similar to the green-eyed sphere hanging from the rail came in, though this one was purple. [font=Lucida Console][color=#FFD700]"Party Associate?"[/color][/font] [font=Lucida Sans Unicode][color=#4B0082]"Ja, Fraulein?"[/color][/font] The robot replied in a robotic German voice. [font=Lucida Sans Unicode][color=#4B0082]"Is he ready for ze party? He has assumed ze Party Escort Position."[/color][/font] [font=Lucida Console][color=#FFD700]"Not yet, I'm afraid. Please escort our guest to the Relaxation Vault on Testing Track 169."[/color][/font] [font=Lucida Sans Unicode][color=#4B0082]"Understood..."[/color][/font] The robot grudgingly accepted, then he started dragging the young man away out of the same catwalk he arrived from, cursing in German about never escorting humans to parties. Justice Master Posted April 27, 2011 Report Share Posted April 27, 2011 Matthew took a small sigh of relief realizing that the one she was talking to, was some other trapped test subject, basically it gave him a sense that she didn't know he was out, and that was great. He heard other voices, but meh, freedom was the only thing on his mind. It was at that time Matt had what he considered to be a great idea, jump out of the room, land on the floor, get a portal divice, and get out without being noticed. He decided to execute this plan, starting by jumping on top of the capsule he had been in for so very long, and leaped. Grabbing onto the edge, he pulled himself over and landed on his feet, with little harm. Maybe she wouldn't notice him. Maybe, he could get freedom back. He hears noises and voices around him but only see the whiteness that surrounds him. Using most of his remanding strength he pulled him self to his feet. He see's a walkway that leads to a giant... a giant button? Daniel ran up to the button and stood on it. If this door opened it seemed like his only chance out of here. He say a speaker to his left and noticed that standing on this button did not release his door. He looked up and saw a screen, this shown another room just like his and there was a person asleep on the floor. Daniel walked up to the speaker and pressed the button marked "microphone" and screamed into the mic. "WAKE UP!!!" he waited "i need you to get up and press your button. its in front of your door! Once the box landed, the robotic arm unsealed the box, revealing a ovular white metallic thing that opened up three legs, which it now stood on. Its red eye emitted a laser that started scanning its surroundings. [font=Lucida Console][color=#FFD700]"Of course, I haven't forgotten about you."[/color][/font] The same computerized voice announced over the speakers above Matthew. The lights turned on to reveal that he was now trapped in a 10-foot by 10-foot by 10-foot cube of black panels with the roof missing. The cube started moving, and the computer continued. [font=Lucida Console][color=#FFD700]"In fact, I'm going to make this next test rather...unorthodox...You see, from what you, and only you, have heard, I have thrown everything I can at him, except for one thing: humans. I now have an abundance of them from the old days, and I will be making use of you all."[/color][/font] The cube finally stopped, and the panels beneath his feet fell away to reveal another Relaxation Vault. Inside, a robot with a purple eye was placing a worn-out, beat-up guy with the top half of his testing uniform wrapped around his waist on a bed. This guy looked about 25 or so, yet he also looked worn-out. On his right shoulder was a sign that he had been thermally discouraged for a few seconds, while around his neck he had a necklace of turret bullets, shell and all. He also had a strange device over his heart. The robot saw Matthew and hesitated. [font=Lucida Sans Unicode][color=#4B0082]"P-P-Please, do not hurt me!"[/color][/font] He pleaded. He slowly lifted himself up, leaning up against a wall. The lights in the white room were near blinding, and Adam had yet to adjust himself to the lights. He began to stumble around, blinded. "Wh- Where am I? Where is this? Why am I heeeeeeerrree!" Adam tripped over a small object in the room and landed on a circular platform, which seemed to lower down. He could hear frantic gunfire coming from nearby, with bullets colliding and ricocheting off of walls. "WHO...WHEN...WHAT...WHAT'S GOING ON HEEEEEEERE?!?" He hit the floor, little changed, but he looked closely at the Party Assosiate Robot. He remembered back to when he saw that thing actually take people to parties, but when you have her in charge, parties don't happen. Matt stared at the robot and simpily replied, "I doubt you'd take me to a party, just leave, or I [b]will[/b] hurt you." He looked at the man who laid on the floor with a few wounds. [color=#4B0082]"Tank you for not hurting me!"[/color] He told Matthew as he left. Interestingly, the portals remained, meaning he did not go through an Aperture Science Material Emancipation Grid. The perriwinkle portal in the Relaxation Vault connected with the lavender portal just outside the vault, though it was still in the room the vault was contained in. Slowly, the man lying next to him stirred, slowly got up, and then opened his eyes when he saw Matthew. "What the f**k are you doing here?!?" The man exclaimed. What have you done with my brother." He slammed against a tile. Nothing. He noticed a gun on the floor, so he picked it up. He fired it at a wall, and a crystal colored hole appeared. He shot the spot next to it, and a Neon Green portal appeared. He ran through the first one, and fell through the other. "Cool." He fired a Crystal colored at the ceiling. And a green at the portal. It went through the portal and onto the wall. "Wow!" Luke certainly had gotten a hang of the Prtal Gun. He thought of Albert, wondering how he was doing, and if he had one of these guns. He couldn't help but think about what this Test Subject did to provoke her. Nevertheless, he needed alies, and currently, he had none. He started to propose a deal, "look. You want out, I want out. She wants to use me against you, and I don't trust her a bit. If we work together to defeat her and escape from this hellhole, we'll both get what we want. And it seems going solo for you isn't working so well. But, anyway, I need to know your name. Mine's Matthew." He extended his hand to the man, hoping for the best. His frantic screaming giving him a headache he tried to calm him down. Hey you! calm down there is a door right there. we will get out soon... (turrent comes down and scans Daniel) "Oh SH*T... What is that thing" daniel yells as he falls infront of the door only to see the weird facial expression of his partner. "Hey... Lets get out of here, names later" Daniel grabs this unknown persons arm and drags him through the door hoping to avoid the small robot that seems interested im him. After the door closes Daniel looks at this new person, "i think we are safe here, who are you? im daneil!" he talks proudly and frantic at the same time. The rush is starting to get to his head. I've been trying for who knows how long! She just keeps directing me to her, and all that accomplishes is me yelling at her and getting zapped, which results in me waking up here!" He suddenly realized something. "Wait. You said you're an employee, right? Same here! Look, once we get out, if we ever do, there are a lot of locked doors that you can open. I tried, but she deleted me from the database once she realized I was getting into areas she couldn't monitor. Now, where is my portal gun?" He looked around, only to realize that the only one among them who had a portal gun was the Party Associate. "WAIT!!!" However, it did remind him while, he was in a Test Subject's suit, he still had administrative powers. Anyways, he stepped into the portal feeling shift in gravity, yet still landing safely. He looked around the vault seeing completions of all things his staff was working on. The beauty of it all! But there was no time for a trip down memory lane, he had to catch up to the mysterious Test Subject. With one last thought, he went rushing torwards the robot and Test Subject. One minute he wakes up in a blank white room, and the next he is being dragged out of what seemed to be a war zone, with the bullets and all. He grasped his head, trying to get a grip on the situation. "SORRY, WHAT? I DIDN'T CATCH THAT LAST PART. OR ANY OF IT, FOR THE MATTER. ALL I HEARD WAS THIS LOUD RINging in my...ahem...ears." His eyes finally adjusted to the lights in the room, and he looked around. Nothing but a man, a few blurry windows, and a door. "Uh...hi. I'm Adam. There are two gun looking things on the ground. "This all looks familiar but i can put my toung on it..." Daniel walks up and grabs a gun. Irish Wristwatch..." she slurred, as her eyes weakly opened up. The bright light of the Relaxation Vault took a lot of getting used to, her eyes burning as she brought her hand to shield herself from it. "Alright mom, I'm awake, I'm awake!" she protested. A common tactic in the Polaris household to turn on the lights in sleeping Natalia's room, in order to wake her up more urgently of course. The bed was slightly higher then the girl anticipated, still figuring she was at home. "woah!" she stumbled, almost falling. However instinctively, her legs hit the ground in a rather forceful manner. Her temporary lack of balance was corrected, instantly. Rubbing her eyes, she looked around to see an all white test chamber, and not much else. It looked as though she were behind glass of some kind, and there wasn't any readily available way out. "Hello?" No sooner did she speak out when a dark gray portal appeared before her. Not noting what exactly had occurred, she assumed someone had broken a hole through the wall. It was only as she stepped out into the main test chamber that she noticed the light gray portal, and that she had traveled between them. "Wh-what!?" she protested, confused and slightly frightened. She didn't think going through the portal again would be a good idea, as it might suddenly close and snap her in half. "What's going on? Dad? He looked back at the gun on the ground, then back to Daniel. "...Uh...what is that thing? And what did you put on the wall? You know what? Never mind. I'd rather not ask as of now. I just want to know what the heck is going on here." He walked over to the device on the ground. He stared at it for a second, before attempting to touch it. He quickly retracted his hand from it, before trying again. This time, he picked it up by the handle and trigger. "Wow...this is like those guns I've read so much about. You know, the ones that shoot bullets? Yea, those...so...how does this thing wo-WOAH." Adam was startled by the unexpected kickback the Portal Gun put off when he pulled one of the two triggers. A Blue portal was shot towards the wall, and formed there. Curious, he pointed it at another wall and pulled the other trigger. There, a Forest Green portal appeared. He looked through the Blue one, only to find himself staring at himself. He was baffled. "Wait...what? How...when...I...What is this thing??" We are in Apature Science Labs. I used to be a test subject... i almost escaped when she attacked me with neurotoxin... Any way these are portal guns. You can shoot ino the white walls and walk through the holes you make. Our objective is to get through as many of these chambers as we can before "She" finds out what our intentions are. Follow me!" Daniel turns to walk around but nearly falls off the ledge before him... "ok hold on a second." Daniel looks around a bit noticing something he has never seen before. A large sprinkler. "Adam there is a sprinkler over there. I think if we stand on the button over there the room will fill with water and we can swim up too the exit. ok?" He listened to his idea, and shook his head with disapproval. "Just one problem...I can't swim. Isn't there an easier way to get out of this room?" He stared at the room for second. His face lit up with an idea. "Hmm...I think this might work. I mean, I hope it works." Adam fired a Blue Portal above Daniel and a Forest Green Portal below him, causing to go through an endless portal. "Lets just hope physics carry through these things." He fired a Blue portal at the ground over the ledge, causing Daniel to fly up, giving him ample opportunity to grab the ledge and climb up to the door. "Adam, i can see it from here, it isnt water, its a jell and it looks rubbery, Try standing on that switch and see what happens atleast. Ill portal you up here if you dont want to try it!" Adam got off the button, walked over to the ledge and peered over. "Um...what is that stuff? It's not water. It looks more like blue paIIINT!!" Adam lost his footing, as he peered over too far. He fell down onto the paint splotch, and was launched back up into the air. He landed face first on the platform with Daniel. He slowly lifted himself to his feet. The pane opened; Abel slowly stood up and got out of the bed, if it could be called that. The room was made of glass, he could see another white room around him. Inside the room was a toilet, a mug, a radio playing festive music. On one side of the white room there was a lit panel on the wall with the number 00. Abel recognized this all too well. He trudged towards the next room, confused and wondering. When he walked in, he was greeted by, you guessed it, white and grey walls. He looked around, and saw a button on the ground. Silently, he went over and stepped on the button. He sat down on it. "Ok, Daniel. Since you know more than I do about this place, you can decided what to do from here.
