Kingdom Xathers
If not Bayonetta, why not her Umbran Sister Jeanne? I mean, technically, given the current time period of Soul Calibur, Bayonetta would have been sealed away long before that. We've never been told what happened to Jeanne during that time, so it could be possible for her to have at least witnessed the events of Soul Calibur, if not participate in it at some point. And apparently, Ezio has also been dead before Soul Edge was even created, though that could be explained away as having SC5 be a program in the Animus. n8thegr8
So sorry about necro bumping this mods, but I thought it would be appropriate considering the new Soul Calibur V has just been released. I just got the game, and I definitely think it is a step back in the right direction from III and IV. Any thoughts guys? Personally I like Violas gameplay just cause its so different. Icy
great, they're bringing more of this undead crap to SC5
More? The only "undead" in this game AT ALL is Inferno Cervantes, since it hasnt existed for a good while story-wise. Oh and Algol but he's another matter altogether. If you count Ezio, Astaroth, Cervantes, Sophitia Elysium, Nightmare, or Yoshimitsu as undead, you REALLY NEED TO PAY ATTENTION; none of them are undead. In-fact Cervantes is finally "alive" and Nightmare is just a living form of the consciousness or whatever of Soul Edge. Ezio gets a timeskip excuse because he's from another series. Or do you not understand what crossover mechanics is? Oh and this game is amazing <3. Modified my character from what he looked like in the PSN Club Topic, I'll post a picture tomorrow or something.
Pretty awesome the gameplay is much faster and more fluid. The new critical edge attacks are super fun. Also character creation is AMAZING. You can change colors of weapons, add patterns to clothes, and they have a lot of new body effects as well including face paint. EDIT: they only got rid of amy, cassandra, and talim............. Archbaron Larry
Mainly Setsuka and Talim. They were my two best characters. Oh wait what's this? Astaroth will return in Soulcalibur V, and it has been confirmed that this Astaroth is an entirely new golem, under a year old. And Sophitia's daughter, Pyrrah, is essentially her clone. And wasn't Rock basically a clone of Astaroth?

A lot of these characters are in the game, either in their apprentice form or their children. Also, Setsuka's gameplay style IS in this game. In the form of Alpha Patrokolos; while Cassandra is with Pyrra (her sister Sophita being Pyrra Omega; her likeness being in Elysium). Rock has always been a one off from the series since Soul Blade. Archbaron Larry
Hmm. I didn't know Alpha Patrokolos had Setsuka's style, interesting. But Talim will be missed, I loved her becuase she was soooo freaking fast, and my brother would get mad whenever I used her, because I'd be essentailly flying around the stage.
