I think he was referring to the Ukemi. Just press the block button as soon as you hit the ground. Like Korean said, those three characters can profit from staying down, but if you're playing against a good Rock, get up as fast as possible because he has a lot of ground grabs and they're pretty easy to combo into more ground grabs.

The best guy/girl I made in sc4.........hmm....Theres a few.
Made a Taki-Style guy called The Assassin.
Ended up wit Grapple Break A, Nullify Ring Out A and HP Drain A. Happy.
The I made a Kilik-Style dude called The Azure Knight. (that was when i didnt know Siegfrieds nickname...)
TOTAL DEFENSE AND KICKS BUTT!
And me and my friend made a series of charachters called Dreads. Each had a diff style and skills.

I still have SC III for the old PS2, and my favorite character from SC III is totally, hands-down, without a shadow of a doubt, Setsuka. She has awesome counter attacks that can just absolutely demolish the opponent, and she is quick to boot!

I respect setsuka players cuz she takes so long to master. I have yet to play a great setsuka player (i'm terrible with her) but I'm sure that there are amazing players out there.

well how old was he by the time of SC4?
He was 16 in Soul Edge so I guess 23 or 24 between the times of Soul Calibur III - IV. Since he's the protagonist so to speak in the game I guess they kept him and Ivy young to appeal to a wider audience.

Voldo, Seung Mina, and Cervantes has been my fav since Soul Edge and Talim since she appeared in Soul Calibur II. Those four have been my main up to SCIII (Never got SCIV so I don't know much about it). SCV looks promising so far. Setting the series 17yrs ahead will shake things up, but only if they actually do something about it. Ivy still looking the same and Seigfried still kind of looking the same makes it look as if they don't really want to drop any of the characters for fresher ones.

I mean I'm a big Voldo fan, but how old was he in SCIV? Like 55? The man's close to 70 in the new one and they want to bring him back? His spine is going to snap in the middle of round 2 of the 1st battle.

Voldo would be around 70 in V and Sigfried would be 40, Mitsurugi would be 46, Ivy stopped aging (Fanservice anyone?)

As for guests, I hope for the Devil May Cry characters
Big deal, Talim didn't age a single year throughout the WHOLE of the Soul Calibur series

I hope that Kilik is not kept. I hate the spammers.

Ehh. There were bigger threats for to worry about over him. I found Xianghua, Necrid and Siegfried (SCIII Version) very frustrating to go up against. Ivy was another. I don't think Kilik, Xianghua or Seung Mina will return. They may have a new character use the staff instead. Probably will be Kilik and Xianghua's kid.
