Takes place in Lotus City, Australia.

Lotus City was peaceful as it is. People there lived normal lives, except for two people. One of them was a graduate from the old Duel Academy before it was remodeled, called 'Jaden Yuki'. And the other was a mysterious man called 'Discordia', also known as the Xaos Lord. Discordia had surrounded the city with an invisible electrical barrier, preventing anyone in the city from escaping. But Discordia didn't have them locked up for nothing. He's planning something, something that involves sacrificing every living being in the city, to summon the three evil gods known as the Titans, Kronos, Iapetus, and Hyperion. The mysterious graduate himself wasn't able to fight his way out, so he needed to do something. He called on the help of the many willing duelists around Lotus City and formed a group of duelists whose goal was to resist Discordia's trap and escape the barrier.

Discordia, seeing this unexpected and somehow strong revolt, recruited duelists of his own from outside.

Will the residents defeat Discordia and free Lotus City, or will Discordia succeed in sacrificing all those thousands of people and succeed in controlling three powerful gods?

. . . . .

"Duels." Discordia muttered on top of the Xaos Tower. The Xaos Tower was once a tall building, the tallest in all of Lotus City, but it had been modified to fit Discordia's will, to watch over everything that happened in the city. He was aware of everything outside of the buildings. The mysterious student known as 'Jaden Yuki' had been troublesome, rallying the citizens and tourists to fight against him. But it was futile. It was night, and his most of his servants were patrolling the city. He had hired thousands of duelists from the outside to fight against the Resistance that had risen against him.
He captured anyone he could in the city, and many thousands had already been captured, being held in a huge underground area beneath the Xaos Tower. He didn't know what its original purpose was, but it was massive. It could hold a million people at once. When the captured reaches a number of four hundred thousand, which was just about the total number of residents and visitors combined, then he would sacrifice them all, and he was nearing that number. But he didn't need that many captured, for he had thousands of servants which could fill in the rest if the Resistance would simply not give in. The people had had hired have magic implanted into their Duel Disks, meaning when they defeated a resident of Lotus City in a duel, that resident would fall unconscious for twelve hours, enough time for them to be brought into the underground area beneath the Xaos Tower, but this can backfire if they lose, although they themselves would only end up unconscious for one or two hours.

Jaden sat down on a chair in a room in the Resistance headquarters, which was situated in a factory building close to the barrier, so if ever it would falter or something, they could exit it quickly, although he knew that wasn't likely.
You seem disturbed. Yubel said in his mind.
I suppose so, he replied. More and more of the resistance is losing, and soon enough the Xaos Lord will accomplish his goal, whatever it is. We're resisting the constant waves of Discordia's goons and protecting the defenseless and weak residents at the same, while Jay and the others collect information which may be valuable. We're forming a plan that would allow us to infiltrate the Xaos Tower, and hopefully from there somehow deactivate the barrier, but I haven't told them that the barrier is generated magic, since they wouldn't be able to comprehend it. The Xaos Lord would have to be defeated in a duel in order for the residents to escape, and even then we would have to free those who had been captured. I trust in Jay and the others to find out where they've been taken.

Astro drove in on his custom made duel disk. It was fast enough for a delta accel synchro, sleek, white and blue and it hovered. He had just dueled one of Discordia's servants, and won without losing any life points. He sighed, one down, many thousands to go.
"Sometimes I think this is hopeless. There is so many servants, so many have been captured. Can we save them all?"
'You must.' Came the reply from a duel monster spirit, Halberd Cannon.
'Many lives are at stake. Otherwise, the Titans shall claim rule.' Came another reply, this time from Vylon Omega.
Astro sped up, until he reached the resistance base. He kept going until he reached hid friend Jaden.
When he got there, he nodded at the spirit of Yubel.
"Jaden, we need to talk."

"Yes?" Jaden asked. He turned to see Astro. He knew something like this was going to happen soon, but there was no avoiding it, no avoiding this. He would have to face it, or at least get it over with. "Is there a problem, Astro?"

Discordia continued to monitor the city when a servant approached him. "Sir," The servant said. "More and more people are joining the Resistance. There's an estimate around seven hundred already joined, and it's growing."
"Then block them all out." He replied. "It's night. Tell the ones around the city to harden their search, and their skills."
"Yes, sir."

Track looked up at the sky. It was already night time. " Oh man, dark already. I guess that means no more duels for today then." Track sighed. " Well better fing shelter, before it rains or something like that." Track walked around the city trying to find somewhere where he could find shelter. He then saw a factory. He thought that it was abandened, so he decided to see if he could rest there. He wasnt to sure so he knocked on the door first. " Hey anyone in there." He called out. Track opened the door and walked in.

Kyle looked through his decks for the umpteenth time that day. He noticed the lighting going down as he went through each individual card. Looking up after finishing, there was an absence of sunlight in the sky. "Nighttime? Figures." He stowed his decks in his belt and climbed into his Runner, which had been parked nearby. Putting his helmet on, he sped off towards the factory that marked the entrance to the resistance's headquarters. Upon arriving, he saw someone standing in the doorway. He didn't look like anyone in the resistance... Still, he was probably here for a reason. He saw other people's Runners parked nearby, so he hopped off and wheeled his own over. Walking inside, he nodded hello to the person he saw earlier and headed to the back. No need to go downstairs quite yet, in case this guy wasn't allied with him.

Track wathed the person who had just entered, passed him. " So. Pretty nice place you got here. Mind if i stay." Track didnt bother to wait and listen for an answer. He walked into the factory closing the door behind him. He looked around watching his surroundings. He walked up to the guy who had passed him earlier. " So can i. Can i stay that is." Track smiled at the guy. " In fact, ive got an idea. "He looked at the guy up and down. " You look as if you can handle yourself. How about i prove my worth by dueling with you. Then can i stay?

"Unfortuantely my friend, there is. I lead a group of resistance men over to scout the perimeter of the west side of Lotus City. So far, I'm the only one to come back. I checked most alleys and streets on my Duel Runner, no signs on the moniter, or any that I could see. I got in a few duels myself, but nothing I couldn't handle. Anyway, what I'm saying is; they're getting stronger. They outnumber us. The only hope we have is that we outrank them. You, me and a load of other duelists. We are the 'Legendary' duelists people say. You're the master of the cards, I'm the master of Synchro Summoning. Together, all of the resistance together, we can beat them. But their hope is faiding. 16 men were lost in the morning today, another 11 this afternoon."
He looked at Yubel. You know this too? he thoguht telephaically.
"Anyway. We need to bring their hope up. It won't be long until they find us. I'v set up another base, in case of emergency. I have added security features and all. If needs be, we move everyone there."

Kyle turned to the guy in red. He clearly wasn't part of the resistance, or he would've known about this place. However, he seemed to be looking for a place to stay the night. It probably wouldn't be the best idea to let him in... until he offered to duel for the opportunity to sleep here. Kyle just wanted to sleep, but he could probably squeeze a duel in before turning in. If he won, the guy would go away, and if he lost, this person was good enough to be in the resistance. Win-win.

"Hmm... Fine. We'll duel." He inserted his regular deck into his Duel Disk, causing it to activate. "You challenged me. You go first," he said as his deck auto-shuffled and stuck out the top five cards, which he drew and observed.

Track smiled at his opponent. He got out his duel disk and placed his deck in the slot. He drew his five cards, and one extra to make it six as it was his turn. " First off I'm gonna start by activating double summon. Now with double summon I'm gonna summon two of my masked knight lv3 to the field. Next I'm gonna activate both of my monstrers abilties , you see I can do. 400 points of damage to your life points. But with both of them that makes 800 instead. Lastly ill play a face down and end my turn.

Track life points: 8000
Kyle life points: 7200
Hand: 2
Field: 1 face down and 2 monsters

"Hey you two this looks like a sentimental meeting so I'll make what I gotta say quick," said Jay as he interrupted Astro and Jaden. Out of no where appeared Jay interrupting the conversation and the two looked surprised to see him sitting on the window seal. "I've lost touch with about everyone in my division Jaden," Jay continued, "Like Astro says people are starting to panic; I've seen three people take their own lives today." Jay looked up at Yubel, "They're starting to lose confidence in us as whole." "We need to take the fight to Discordia and I mean before more people go missing," his report was then about to begin, "I kept loosing contact of the others when they were close to the Tower and I also saw someone being dragged into a cellar door and I'm willing to bet that's where everyone is." "I went and checked things out and saw it was heavily guarded," he added, "So my suspicion is that everyone is probably being held there." "This is getting pretty real and I just kinda figured out that Discordia isn't just planning on releasing the Titans he wants to form them into something he could control," he continued, "I'm guessing duel monster cards." "If he succeeds we're not the only ones in the world that'll be in trouble."

Astro nodded at Jay. "Same thing happened to me. Jaden, let me and Jay go to the tower and see what we can find. We may be able to bust a load of the resistance out. You don't need to worry about us. We are capable. Also, if we see Discordia, we can leave. You are pretty strict about him, even though I Wanna have a crack at him."
He turned to look at Jay. "You up for it mate? We got duel spirits to protect us. I guarantee we will have some goons having a looong rest!"
Astro turned to Jaden, awaiting his response.
Then the spirit of Tech Genus Stellar master appeared. 'Allow them Yuki. I can protect them.' Then it began to converse to a great extent with Yubel, who finally nodded in agreement. All eyes turned to Jaden.

The spirit of Fabled Ragin appeared behind Jay, "And if Stellar cant do his job I'll be more than happy to step in." Jay looked at his monster rather agitated, "What's up with you guys volunteering me for things I don't wanna do." He looked around the room at Yubel and Stellar who looked annoyed with his decision. "Fine," Jay said, "I'll go with you guys." "On the condition if we find anyone to duel," he continued, "They're mine." He looked at the annoyed face of Astro and then waited for Jaden's approval.

Astro laughed. "There'll be plenty! You can have first pick. I'll take second. Heck! We might even get the chance to tag duel! I'm up for it, stellar also seems up to it. As does your fabled. We just need your approval Jaden. We could bring more hope to the resistance, proving that they still live, and bring as many as we can back. We can stay in contact via earpieces. Both Jay and I can duel well. There is nothing to worry about. I'll take my runner in case we need a quick escape, though I doubt that."
Astro pulled out his deck and shuffled it while waiting for a response.

"Junk Warrior, attack Breaker the Magical Warrior! Scrap Fist!"

[Enemy LP: 700 -> 0] "Damn-"

"Yeah, bye." Chase Pearson rode away from his defeated opponent, on a pure black D-Wheel. The Synchro monster that had just won him the game still floated above him even though the duel had ended. "Another down...but this is barely even making a difference, is it. There's so many of them..." Junk Warrior looked down at him. "There isn't any more the resistance can do as of now. Just keep dueling tomorrow." Chase grunted. "But we have to do more! I've been keeping track. Seven people in our neighborhood have disappeared. People are unhappy. There has to be something!" "But there isn't. For now, let's just get back to HQ." Chase sighed, and accelerated the D-Wheel.

Kyle closed his eyes and winced a little as the beams of light shot out of his opponent's Masked Knights and reduced his Life Points. "Good opening. My turn. I draw." Kyle added a card to his hand and selected another. "First I'll discard the Vision Gishki in my hand, allowing me to search my deck for a Giski Ritual Monster." As he inserted the card into his Graveyard, another one was ejected from his deck. "Next, I activate the Ritual Spell, Forbidden Arts of the Gishki. This allows me to use monsters from either side of the field as Ritual material. And what better to use then the Knights you so willingly let out?" He played the card, causing a large, intricate mirror to appear. A vortex of water came out of the mirror, swallowing up the Masked Knights. "Now, come forth! Evigishki Mind Augus!" (LVL 6 - WATER - Aqua/Ritual/Effect - ATK 2500/DEF 2000) The monster emerged from the mirror and looked at Kyle's Duel Disk. "Now, her attack may be chopped in half, but her effect still activates. I'm allowed to send up to five cards from our Graveyards back to their owner's decks. And I choose the two that I used earlier!" The monster pointed her staff at Kyle , sending a blue light from his Graveyard back to his deck. "Next, I'll summon Gishki Chain from my hand." (LVL 4 - WATER - Sea Serpent/Effect - ATK 1800/DEF 1000) "Summoning him allows me to look through the top three cards of my deck. If there's a Gishki Ritual-related card among them--which there is--I can reveal it and throw it in my hand. I'll take this Gishki Ceremonial Mirror. Unfortunately, the Forbidden Arts prevent me from doing my Battle Phase this turn. So, I'll end with a face-down. You're up."

Age slam the door open where Kyle was staying. What he saw was Kyle dueling some other person which he did not know, but he didn't look like he was there to hurt anyone. "Don't worry dudes" Age said breathing heavily. " I finished dueling someone and beat him, but more duelist came so I ran away since there was to many. Next thing I new I lost them. But I still needed a place to hide." Age then closed the door behind him and saw that by the looks of it the duel barely started, so he decided to just watch it. "Don't mind me" Age said. " Now I can relax so keep doing what you're doing, but if you can; explain whats going are here.

(Its the Owner's fault im now just posting. And plus, Lucus's Faction isnt known, it just appears to be resistance.)
Lucus activated his duel disk. "GAME ON!!" Said him and the Discordia goon named Victor. "Im first." Said Victor. "And i summon Blue Flame Recruit." A knight clad in blue armor with a blue, firey aura erupted. [0 l 2900] "And he gets to be special summon to the field by discarding one FIRE attribute monster. Next i activate the spell card Blue Fire Flame. When a Blue Flame monster is discarded by a monster's effect, i get to summon a level 6 or below Blue Flame Monster from my graveyard to the field. And i choose the only one in there, Blue Flame Knight!!" A knight clad in sky-blue armor with a blue flame for the sword blade and a navy-blue shield with a gigantic blue, firey aura appeared. [2900 l 4000] "I end with a face down." "MY MOVE!" yelled Lucus. "I activate Legend De-Fense, which destroys one monster on the field, and that monster's defense points count as damage to it's owner's lifepoints.Your Knight is destroyed and you loose 4000 life points then i activate Legend Destruction, which causes damage to be doubled for the entire duel, and now that 4000 is 8000, winning me the duel." He sighed, as the Goon dropped unconscious. "Well, thats a 20th. And he is by far the easiest battle yet."

Track waited for his opponent to make his move. " First ill activate masquarade of the dead. For every masked knight monster in my graveyard I get to draw one card . So now I'm gonna activate the warrior returning alive to bring one masked knight to my hand. Next ill summon my masked knight LV3. Now ill activate masked tornado you see for every masked knight monster on my field I can destroy one of your spell or trap cards. Next I'm gonna activate level up so that I can summon masked knight LV5 in attack mode. Now attack his weakest monster."

Track life points: 8000
Kyle life points:
Hand: 2
Field: 1 face down, masked knight LV5

Jaden sighed. He simply couldn't refuse. "Alright." He said at last. "Go to the Xaos Tower, and free as many of those held by the Xaos Lord, while you might also collect even more information that would be needed on the coming operation, which may be the only chance the Xaos Lord can be completely stopped. Do anything you want to, under one condition," He paused for a moment, and for a moment the room was silent, before he broke the silence by finishing his sentence. ". . . Come back alive. The Resistance needs people like you. We really do."

[OOC: In case anyone doesn't know too much about Bipolar, Kyle is currently in a "down" state. He's not gonna be talking much outside of his turns. And yes, he knows what card he has coming--Gishki Chain let him see the net two cards of his deck.]

Kyle turned his head to acknowledge Age's entrance, then looked back as his opponent took a turn. He watched as his face-down Ritual Buster was destroyed by a tornado, immediately followed by his opponent's knight charging his Mind Augus. Wow. This guy's pretty good, he thought as his monster shattered under the knight's sword. (LP 7200 --> 6150) He looked down at his hand. These cards won't be too much help... But I've got more draw power coming next turn. Assuming his face-down isn't too obstructive, I should be able to turn this around. He addressed his opponent. "Well, you've destroyed Mind Augus. But you're yet to see all that my deck has to offer. Do you end your turn?"

Track laghed out loud. " Thanks, for telling me that, but im pretty sure that i can take anything your deck throws at me." Track looked at his field, then he looked at his hand. " Hm. I guess thats about it. I hope you got something good up your sleeve, because, im really gonna need an extremely tough challenge. Whilst saying this Track pointed at his opponent. "Your move." Track smiled at his opponent and did one more littlie laugh.

[OOC: Shortpost alert! I know you didn't have much to say, but you could always drag it out a little with filler lines. Kinda like in 5D's season two.]

Kyle nodded. "I draw." Without looking at the card, he inserted it into his Duel Disk. "I activate Moray of Greed. With this card, I'm allowed to shuffle two WATER monsters from my hand into my deck, drawing three cards afterwards." He waited for his deck to finish auto-shuffling, then drew the three. He smiled as he observed them. "All right. Now, I activate the spell I drew last turn: Gishki Ceremonial Mirror. By Tributing the Gishki Shadow in my hand, I'm allowed to Ritual Summon Evigishki Soul Ogre!" As he played the spell, the large mirror from his last turn appeared. A faint image of the Shadow appeared next to the mirror, allowing Soul Ogre to emerge. (LVL 8 - WATER - Aqua/Ritual/Effect - ATK 2800/DEF 2800) "Next, I activate the Spell Card, Ritual Water Mirror's Message. Because I control a WATER Ritual Monster, I'm allowed to look at both your face-down card, and the top two cards of my deck." Kyle pulled the top cards of his deck out and observed them while he waited for his opponent to reveal the card on his field.

Track stuck his hand out. " Just by my looking at my face down your not gonna win. With his hand already stuck out Track pointed at his face down card, then flipped his face down card face up, with one quick upwards movement of the finger. The card was martyrs. " You see, my martyrs flag can only be activated during your battle phase, i can discard one card in my hand or tribute one monster, and double all warrior type monsters on my fields attack points. Track waited for his opponent to finish off his turn. " Better make it a good one." He smirked.

Kyle switched the two cards around and put them back on the top of his deck. "That's an interesting trap you've got. To work around it, I'll activate my Soul Ogre's effect. By discarding a Gishki monster, I can send one face-up card on your side of the field back to its owner's deck. There's only one option, so... Send back his Masked Knight!" The fish-ogre inhaled before spitting out a large torrent of water at the knight. As the water cleared out, the knight was nowhere to be seen. "And now that your field is clear, both of my monsters can attack you directly. Go!" He watched as his monsters leaped forward, ready to strike.

Track was shocked as he watched his masked knight being washed away and sent straight back to his hand. He then looked at his hand to see his masked knight LV5 back in his hand. Track looked back at his opponent and saw that both of his opponents monsters were heading straight for him. He was shocked once again when his saw those two monsters about to attack him. Track braced himself by covering his face with his two hands, in a cross position. As the monstrers attacked him he fell back onto his but. " Hey, that one did some serious damage."
