I must question the inversion of the phrase "ganging up"' date=' as that is not a direct quote from me.

What do you gain from this critically conversation?[/quote']

It seemed as though you were implying we were ganging up on a member of your board. Is this the correct interpretation of your statement?

From the conversation, I gain the knowledge of knowing I was able to help someone somewhere learn just a little bit more about a card they probably never really care about a lot to begin with.

Oh, no, certainly not, "ganging up" implies that the lesser quantity of the two parties is losing.

Well, I'm sorry, I thought you had a good reason for being here, but no, it would just appear that a bunch of lifeless lackies decided that they had nothing better to do that argue about a small piece of reinforced paper that has been duplicated hundreds upon thousands of times.

Here, we like to make our own creations, read the URL, you'll be surprised.

Oh, and, before you start, no, I am no lifeless like you, if you care to notice, haing been here just the one day you have all almost far surpassed my daily average of posts, having "been here" since the 24 of December, '06, which, considering my only 3 weeks of recorded activity is quite minute to some people who have been here alot less than I. We are not "lifeless lackies" sir. We merely wish to extend knowledge of the game to others.

That is different how? It's game intended for young teens, anyone who plays it long after surpassing this age and still takes it that serious may be considered a lifeless lacky.

If you consider my banter flaming you are gravely mistaken. Also' date=' I know not what your board is, nor how it is different, but nor do I care. No, debating, considering [b']this forum does not support debating[/b], is not a good reason for coming.

So this forum does not support the exchange of ideas and... dare I say it, free speech?

No, this forum does not support debating in itself. Free speech is far more than just debating.

I'm really enjoying watching this 2 on 1 debate' date=' you guys are very skilled.

Hmm? While it may appear as if it's a bunch of us ganging up on someone, or just one guy with hours of time on his hands, I assure you that is not the case.

We come from a board where the small little clique of us thinks in a similar fashion. It's not about us "ganging up" on someone, if that is at all what you're trying to imply, but rather it is about us just trying to get others to think critically about the game

Seeing other people's opinions about a debated topic isn't a good reason for coming? As you noticed, this board's opinion differed from ours significantly..

Also, didn't this topic open with you warning us not to flame other people?

Where we come from, "bunch of lifeless lackies" generally counts as a flame. >_>

Anyhow, we didn't start the debate; it was already here, so we joined in. Considering that the forum description says anything TCG-related is permitted and a discussion was already in existence, it's hardly fair to blame us for discussing the card. He were having a discussion, and we heard other people were having the same discussion, so we saw no reason not to jump in.

Also, I was here before all this started; I just didn't use the forums, just the card creator program.

Where you come from, guess what? We're not there! You may have joined this discussion and as far as I know turned it rather crude. Using the card maker does not obligate one to use the forums, which I'm guessing you didn't, and therfore this point is irrelevant.

We were merely discussing cards, and why they should or should not be banned. Discussion of individual cards is not allowed here?

I believe this statement is filled with ignorance. For one thing, it implies that those of us on this board are not "young teens". Second of all, you are blatantly violating your own rules against flaming.

We are expressing our opinions on the banlist, and attempting to persuade everyone why we believe our conclusion is best.

So, what is the requirement for posting, and what is the definition for flaming, in your humble opinion?

That's actually a 3 part response.

We gain something but it's not from "winning" the argument (why must there always be a winner with you people).

We do it mainly for t

It depends on the context of the discussion. Also, the post you quoted was not a flame, it is a fact, and I see no reason why persons older than the target audiance could not play the game, but to the serious extent at which you are, it's not required.

Please, answer HORUS' question too.

What satisfaction comes from forcing everybody else to admit you're right? Read the rules of flaming, like I suggested, all you need to know is there, if you feel I have violated it, read some of the other rules, and bring it up with me in a calm manner.

What don't we gain from winning this argument?

I myself like an intelligent debate, and I gain a sort of achievement whenever I am the victor in an intelligent debate. I can say to myself "Wow that guy/those guys were really smart, there points were well thought out and I'm glad I got the chance to debate with them."

Now im not gonna argue for or against this case but

merely say

If you new people are involved in this arguement its obvious you will, after this thread has come to its end, have lost all the respect from other members, thus, there would be no point in you staying, as you will sadly be hated by all.

Either that or you will be banned etc.

Its rather meaningless to continue (both partys), cos the end result was obvious from post 1 ^_^

I should have been more clear. I didn't mean that the contents of the topic is off-topic in terms of whether it deals with the title, I meant that it's off topic on the basis of the actual nature of the board. This is a Yugioh board. Aside from the title of the topic, this topic has nothing to do with Yugioh. It seems to me that that qualifies as off-topic... Again, correct me if I'm wrong.

so what is the meaning of this argument? you will never meet me. you will never know who i am. it doesnt matter. what is the meaning?

The meaning of this argument is to show my opinion on the matter.

It doesn't matter if I won't meet you, you generally don't want to meet someone you argue with. I hold no ill feeling towards anyone of you, if you would like to hold any towards me I honestly don't give a damn.

Well, you are wrong. This topic originally concerned moderation an announcement made by the moderation. Now, it is just amusing.

By all mean, I understand if you think that means I'm violating my duties, but honestly, it's not the first time, and it won't be the last.

Deal with it.

I can't say I'm entirely okay with those, and like, comments.

You're stepping past the topic of Yugioh and directly attacking their egos.

I really don't think it's very nice :(

Regardless of their comments.

If people don't respect other members and get hated for no apparent reason, or will that mean they just leave because new members are joining and just hate newbies? Oh Kay so the New guys in, the Old guys out, sorta like the old saying, what goes in must come out?
