The Great American Cataclysm [Not Started/Accepting]

Recommended Posts
There have been many legends of the American west, not events, but People. Billy the Kid, Jesse James, Wyatt Earp, these men defined the type of life someone will live during this time. This is the story of a cataclysmic event that happened during this time period, an event that for some reason, has never been recorded. Is it fear, unwillingness to relive this, or because the people that were there could simply not believe it and assumed they were on drugs? You decide, all that matters is what happened during those months of dead men walking.

No Godmodding, Metagaming, or power-playing. First time will be a warning, second is a temporary boot for 48 hours, and third, permanent boot. If you post during your boot time, your posts can and will be ignored.

At least four lines per post, if you happen to shortpost, I will give you a warning. If you shortpost repeatedly, like not even an attempt to type four lines, you will be booted.

To prove you read this, your app needs to have a vague music reference. Any music reference, from Beethoven to Queen, it's up to you.

Sounds fun. I would like to try it out.

Name: Alexander Jackson Coulahan

Gender: Male

Age: 25
Appearance:]
Alexander stands about six feet tall, and weighs around 180. He is of a slightly muscular build, lean and thin but muscular. He has dark brown, short, hair, though it is unkempt and appears unwashed. In length, his hair falls around his ears and just above his eyebrows. He has piercing blue eyes, set deep in his face, which shine with compassion, hardiness, and sorrow. His face, though mostly clean, has a small stubble, darkening his chin and cheeks. He wears close-fitting denim jeans and a white cotton long-sleeved (button-up) shirt. Over the shirt and pants, he wears a long, cotton trench coat of deep brown. He wears black cowboy boots: high-topped, pointed at the toe, and with a gleaming metal spur attached at the back. He wears a sturdy leather belt, which holds his possessions, and a cowboy hat of black leather. In a pocket in the trench coat, he carries a bandanna (brown with a swirling design), which he wears occasionally (to hide identity, protect face from dust, etc). He also carries a pair of black leather gloves, and wears them for occasions similar to the bandanna.

Personality:] Alexander is fiercely compassionate, and believes in doing whatever is right, even though he has beliefs that clearly define what is right and what is wrong. He also loves making friends, though he has learned to keep his inner feelings to himself, for fear that he will be betrayed; he has created an exterior he believes is close enough to his true self, without revealing secrets. Alexander has a short temper, and he can snap at it can be difficult to control or understand him when it snaps. When it comes to friends, Alexander is willing to risk anything to protect them or keep them safe. He is fiercely protective, and almost always helps others before he thinks about his own well-being. He is extremely instinctual, and prefers acting on intuition and feeling then on logic and reasoning.

Biography:]
Alexander's parents came to America from Ireland hoping to give their son a life better than that which they had received. While living in America, their accents quickly disappeared, and soon Alexander was born. He was raised on the ranch that his father had built, and was taught the ways of the rancher and the cattle herder. His parents had decided to raise him on a ranch, far from other people, to protect him from crime and evil. When Alexander was only twelve years old, that evil came to his farm: bandits raided it, burning the barn, killing all but one of the horses, and murdering his parents. Alexander had been away, riding the lone surviving horse and building his relationship with it, so was safe. When he returned home, he was devastated by the destruction. He spent an entire night crying and mourning his family.

The next day, he knew he would have to build a new life, so he rode his horse from the small blackened ranch; as he rode away, he proclaimed: "I won't suffer, be broken, get tired, or wasted surrender to nothing, or give up what I started."* He held his vow in his heart, and knew he would act vengeance on any and all bandits he could. He began a new life in a nearby city, by selling newspapers. Once he had enough money, he rented a room in a saloon. His life was like this for four years, until, at the age of sixteen, Alexander, with his horse (whom he had named Tabitha in honor of his mother), set out to become a ranch hand. He had hoped to get as close to a ranch as he could, without actually taking on the full responsibilities (though he believes that the ranch-holding family will give the ranch to him when they die). He lived that way for almost nine years.

Then, when the first outbreaks came, Alexander was on the ranch, too far away to have heard anything. He had been herding cattle; he discovered there was trouble when, after he brought the cattle in, there was no one to meet him. Wary, he pulled out his Peacemaker and moved to the house to investigate. He was startled when the family attacked him, both parents, grandparents, and young children. In his fear, he killed them all, not thinking about what he was doing. After they were dead (which took some time, since he wasted many shots on their bodies before shooting them in the heads), he buried the bodies, then began to take care of the ranch on his own.

That lasted a day. When the sun rose, there were more people, afflicted like the ranch-holders. They had eaten the cattle, and when they saw Alexander, rushed him. Knowing there were too many, he got on Tabitha and raced from the ranch. He has survived since then like that: killing as many as the things as he could, and running when he was overwhelmed. Even though the world has fallen apart around him, he still continues his vendetta against all bandits; he has simply expanded it to include zombies.

Ooo... A Cowboy Era RP with the Zombie twist, I like this.

Name: Joseph Dominick Johnson (Likes be preferred by his Last Name Johnson)

Gender: Male

Age: 35

Appearance: About 5"11 he's slightly tanned and some what muscular. He has messy medium brown hair that covers the scars on his forehead from the Civil War. He has a scar on his bottom chin from a knife wound he got as a child. As for clothing he likes to wear dark colors that fit his personality. He wears a black trench coat with crosses in the front pockets and a gray shirt under the coat. He wears dark jeans and a large belt with the Crucifix on the buckle. He has dirty bandages over his hands up until his fingernails which are a little filthy. He has dirty faded black boots hiding his bruises on his feet.

Personality: Johnson is a dark and misunderstood character. If you comment about the scars all over his body he will skin you like a pig. He doesn't take bull crap from anybody that looks at him funny or think he has no one but his a****** self. He doesn't like much in this world but he is just completely fine with that. His style is save yourself and let the rest go rot in hell. Yet despite his darkness, he loved only one thing, his horse Burnt Hide. He would do anything just to find that horse some water. His self centered-ness has caused him to be kicked out of multiple towns and a couple of states. S*** he doesn't care as long as he and his horse were alive he can live in the middle of nowhere.

Biography: Johnson seemed to be an outcast since childhood. This is probably because his parents abandoned him when he was just a baby. He was found crying in an abandoned barn covered in straw, and dirt. An orphanage found him and took him in, at the orphanage every child seemed to be happy but him. He was just alone messing with a knife he found in some bushes. The orphanage Johnson was in was a very poor and cheap orphanage, finally when Joey was 8 the orphanage had shut down but every other child found a home. Johnson learned how to fend for himself in the streets, stealing stores and killing squirrels just to live and get a decent meal. When he was 19 he was drafted into the Civil War, as a Confederate. He didn't care much about which side he was on, as long as he was putting his survival skills to the test, it was just fine.

But when Johnson and a couple of soldiers went on a scouting mission to find where the Union was hiding they got discovered and got taken in. They tortured all of them brutally and painfully. But Johnson never shed a tear, he just stood there and accepted the pain. After a week they were all sentenced to death but Johnson managed to escape by hiding under a horse carriage that lead him 10 miles away from the camp. After the war ended he had no place to go and became a drifter.

One day Johnson was resting under some trees, until he heard shouts and a neigh, he looked to go see what it was. He found out that it was a couple of soldiers trying to tame a horse, but the stubborn horse kept resisting and stomping on the soldiers feet. Finally one of the soldiers got fed up and smacked the horse with a club. The horse neighed and fell to the ground hurt, and the soldiers started beating the horse up but the horse never cry for help he just took the pain. Johnson saw himself in the horse and went to it's aid. He killed the soldiers and helped the horse up, the horse neighed with joy and rubbed against Johnson. For the first time Johnson had a smile on his face. He patted the horse and put the saddle of the soldiers on him and hopped on. From that day Johnson had a friend, Burnt Hide because the horse had a dark hide.

He resumed his normal life style killing animals and sleeping under the stars. At the age of 35 there was some accident or something that brought the dead, back. He just scratched his head wondering how the hell that happened. But he didn't really give a damn, just another thing to kill. He's managed to stay alive by sheer prevention of contact with the zombies, occasionally he was forced to fight with one but one simple bullet to the face dropped the zombie to the ground. And of course, Johnson's horse did not give a damn about the walking undead either.

@Spartan: Accepted

@Sorrow: Not Accepted. The Zombie outbreak has only been going on for about 2 weeks, not 7 years. Fix that and You're accepted.

Whoops... I already posted my app but then I changed it for him to be older, I forgot to fix the Bio too..
