133082s.jpg

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

When this card is Summoned, increase this cards ATK equal to the number of monsters used to Summon it x 200. This card can attack your opponent directly. If this card attacks your opponent directly, it cannot attack during your next Battle Phase. You can Tribute this card to Special Summon 1 Level 6 or lower DARK monster from your Graveyard. The Special Summoned monster cannot attack.

Card B:

This card gains 300 ATK and DEF for each Level 4 or lower monster on the Field. When this card attacks a Level 5 or higher monster, destroy that monster before damage calculation.

I vote Demon of Eternal Shadow

Reason 1: Nice balance: not OP'd yet not UP'd. Other card could technically destroy any overpowering monster. Star Mutant's attack is a little low unless you have a ton of units on your side of the field.

Reason 2: Pic and Name: The picture I think just looks a little more yugiohish, and the name seems like it took a little more time to think of.

Reason 3: This card has a level 4+ effect, but it suits this card fine since the card is a synchro, and therefore is harder to summon than Star Mutant. This card is stronger as far as attack and defense, but that is fine also, since being synchro. Overall, I think that this card would be more likely to be a card in yugioh.

I vote for star mutant.

I really cant give three reasons why i picked that card,

but i can give reasons why the other card is worse.

1) Its a three star synchro

2) Its effect sucks. I mean, you summon it (which would be hard)

and it gets +400 ATK? Who cares. Its still only 1300 ATK. Then the

Whole cant attack thing for the synchro and the special summoned

monster is just way too much draw back.

Then one reason why i liked star mutant.

1) Its first effect about ATK points sucks,

but the second effect is way better than

the demon thing.

I vote Demon of Eternal Shadow

1) Its a level 3 Synchro. That right there is original, since you don't see much of those. Most decks are packed full of level 4 fodder to get the stronger monsters out faster, and this just creeps in under the radar. Someone with respectable skill could get 3 synchro material monsters for it, bumping its ATK to 1500 and allowing for direct attacks with it. The second effect balances out any OP'edness of the first, and maybe makes it a bit UP'ed, but the final effect could make it worth your while.

2) I just don't like Star Mutant. It has a similar ATK gaining effect, although its far less limited and has a lot of exploiting potential. If you really wanted to use it, you would just load your field up with level 4 or lower monsters, giving it 1500 ATK, plus whatever fodder your opponent has, which is a quick 1800, or even 2100, ATK. The second effect just tips it over the edge, since its an auto destruction against anything worth attacking. Granted, it would still be destroyed if it attacks something of a higher ATK, and you'd still take damage, but there is such a multitude of cards that let you get around that technicality that its hardly worth considering a downside.

3) As stated before, Demon of Eternal Shadow just looks better. The name is more Yu-Gi-Oh-esque and the picture looks better. Star Mutant is just ripped from an anime, and the typing seems a bit off to me. The only thing that makes it remotely machine is the wires in the picture, but even then its "eeeeeeh".

Demon of Eternal Shadow gets my vote, because

A. It's not spammable, since it's a Level 3 Synchro Monster. It can deal Ok-ish damage and add a better monster from your Graveyard. Although it might not be able to attack, you can use it's effect. You can also use it for a Synchro Summon if you have a Level 2 tuner for some generic Level 8 Synchro. Stardust Dragon, anyone? It's actually a bit UP'd, but hey, UP'd is better than OP'd IMO. Which Star Mutant kind of is. If you play your cards right, it can get a massive boost in ATK and DEF. At most, it can get 3000 ATK and DEF, and at least it can get 300 ATK and DEF. Not only that, but it can destroy anything useful with it's second effect. Since it will most likely have at least 1500-2100 ATK, it can overpower anything under level 5 with sheer force, and overpower Level 5 and up with it's effect. While you CAN attack it to kill, you'd most likely protect it. It can be a trump card if used correctly (or at least a game changer). A level 3 Trump Card.

B. It just feels better. The name. The picture. Everything just feels Yu-Gi-Oh. The other card feels more like a Pop-Culture card with it's serious Anime influence.
