Coldplay

I'm sure those of you that listen to modern-day pop-rock know Viva la Vida, and it truly is a great song. But Coldplay, at least in my eyes, is such an underrated band. They have tens of songs that go completely unnoticed, and it feels weird that only Viva la Vida got a large amount of critical acclaim. I haven't heard any other Coldplay song on the radio in my town, and even though a lot of them are upwards of four or five years old, I haven't heard the new songs by them, either. And I still hear Viva la Vida quite often.

They are really a good alternative band, and a lot of their other songs take on different themes compared to Viva la Vida, which kind of has a religious overtone to it. Discuss the band, and for your eargasm pleasure, I will post three of my favorite Coldplay songs, one of them that doesn't even have its own Wikipedia page. :O

Coldplay are underrated?O_o ...Oh but true some of their songs seem really overrated while others go unnoticed. But to be honest I mostly like Viva la Vida from them *shame* D:, because the other songs I heard bored me (Speed of Sound, Clocks, The Scientist, In my Place, Fix You, X & Y). But IDK, I grow bored easily.=D

I don't have a full album and doubt I'll try to get one so yeah, Viva la Vida and Violet Hill is all I like from them so far.:/

Apparently they went to court because it was supposed to be plagiarized, is that true?D: Because I like the meaning of the song and the way it's written, with all the allusions. Plus It sounds so liberating.=D A few years ago I dubbed it one of the best-written songs right now.

BUT on the radio I listen to the most, they sure seem to play Speed of Sound and Clocks a lot.O_o

Not really sure how or why you found Viva la Vida boring or uninteresting. It was a very stimulating song, and I loved all of the instrumentals on it. It was just a tad overplayed.

The other songs are a bit repetitive and "sleepy", but nothing boring. Most of them went under the radar, so they really are underrated.
