D:
Hint: Use smileys to say "yes" ( ), "no" ( ), "I'm not sure" ( ) or whatever else you want to emote. They don't count as words. You may also try to use signs...

... to say something, as long as they don't contain any words, they are allowed and don't cost you anything. Pictures on the other hand (you should know the difference between a sign and a picture) aren't allowed.

Since the names are pretty difficult and take too many words, I don't really care if those are "counterparts" or not, the effect and stats are what counts. I'll be generous on that regard, since 10 words is in fact not quite easy. But 1 team is already pretty far, and they haven't used half of the allowed number of words
Anbu-of-Sand
Question: I know this is using a word(s), but if I used another appropriate word for some of the words not allowed (Stars instead of Level, Mage instead of Spellcaster), would that be allowed? Of course, if I say "Summon" is not allowed, and you use "Summoned" or anything like that, I'd kick you in the nuts. But the examples you gave are perfectly fine... still, it would be nice if you have asked me that via PM, to not give the other players too much of a hint. Spoon
Deadline is up, still missing one card. Since I don't want to kick your team, n8thegr8, get your hairy but in motion and deliver the card within the next 24 hours Also, as for Daft Punk, you get promoted to the next round, just so you know. Not your fault your team mate felt like leaving, so I'll let you pass without a card for this round.

Spoon
Here we are and off we go! I'll post the cards for once, we're not that many anymore, and I guess you deserve to see the hilarious(?) solutions the teams came up with. I'll also post the conversations, just for teh lulz ^^

Ekikin: Player 1: Greed? Klavier: Lots of greed Ekikin: You greed? Klavier: You Ekikin: 1 star? Klavier: 2 each Ekikin: wizard? Klavier: Yep Ekikin: Wall? Klavier: Yep. Chaos? Ekikin: Me shine? Klavier: Ok Ekikin: Done. Klavier: Done.
That's teamwork ladies and gentlemen! Clear commands, easily understandable, without hesitation and within the given rules. And only using 9(!) words each. That's how it's done. The final results are also more than acceptable: Klavier: Arcane Archetype DARK/Spellcaster - Effect/2/200/1800 FLIP: Remove from play 1 Spellcaster-Type monster from your Graveyard. Draw 2 cards. If this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower Spellcaster-Type monster from your Graveyard, except "Arcane Archetype". Ekikin: I'm surprised the codeword "greed" worked so well, "wall" was understood perfectly. A Chaos theme maybe wasn't the most original choice, and I would consider this "greed" as broken, but this is not what I was going for anyway. You prooved that you could work together blindly, with as little words as possible. Syngeries can be found everywhere, even if they didn't trade any words on the topic. Congratulations, you're in the next round

Cursed: crow (you)? dove (me)? ... Chaos Posted Anbu: ^^ Dove 'Evil' Crow 'Good'? + http://images2.wikia...eVG-TF04-JP.png ? Cursed: ^^ Anbu: ^^ + Mage? Cursed: D: Bird Anbu: ^ Bird < Mage? Cursed (quoting "Mage?"): ^^ Cursed: Sword = 1400; Shield = 800; k? [Edit: Done] Anbu: Sword - 1800; Shield - 400; Done.
This one didn't work as smoothly, and we have another team concentrating on Chaos. Probably I should've put that word on the banlist, but there's no helping it now Following the limited number of restrictions they gave each other, there's not much to do wrong: Cursed: Blackened Dove [DARK/Spellcaster/Level 3/Effect] [1400 ATK/800 DEF] While you control a LIGHT or DARK monster, you can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard by removing from play 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK monster in your Graveyard. If this card is Special Summoned by its own effect, place 2 Spell Counters on this card or another card(s) you can place a Spell Counter on. You can remove 2 Spell Counters from this card to Special Summon 1 LIGHT or DARK monster from your hand or Graveyard. Anbu: Counters of Chaos | Level 4 | DARK Spellcaster | Effect ATK 1800 | DEF 400 When this card is Summoned, place 2 Spell Counters on it. This card gains 50 ATK for every LIGHT and DARK monster in your Graveyard. You can remove 1 Spell Counter from the field to send 1 LIGHT or DARK monster to the Graveyard. You can Tribute this card to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower LIGHT or DARK monster in your Graveyard. Increase the ATK and DEF of that monster by 200 for every Spell Counter that was on this card at the time. The ATK and DEF of that monster cannot be increased by more then 800 by this effect. Cards that work with Spell Counters and a Chaos theme, but they also got a little Graveyard cycling in there, which is a little bit of an accomplishment. Still, in terms of "blind trust", I hoped for a little more. Will you make it? We'll know once I looked at the last team of our little test

(Started after a little confusion about the rules, but we still got it straight after Night 1 ) Bahamut: Battleguards (1); Simplicity (2); Combination (3) n8: battleguard ^^ theme? same? Bahamut: Star Down (5) (He obviously missed that I didn't count his shouted "RULES!!!! (4)) n8: ^^ 500, 800, 1000?; pic? (4) Bahamut: Middle (6); Searchable (7); Name??? ( n8: dog & cat? Bahamut: ; (^ 'Wildcat' (9); +Effect? (10, Limit Reached) n8: Effect=battleguards ^^; wolverine me; 1200/1200 +800
A lot of confusion from my side, and apparantly also from the team members themselves. n8 didn't notice that his partner wanted him to choose an appropriate name, "Wilddog". This makes Bahamut's card utterly pointless. And since Bahamut already reached his limit, he couldn't respond to the name n8 posted. But see for yourself: Bahamut: n8thegr8: Yep, the results didn't blow me over. Still, the "battleguards" kinda seemed to work, and the +800 effect for each would've possible worked as well if it weren't for the naming confusion. And this confusion, in the end, shows that you didn't trust each other blindfolded, like I wanted it to be. The cards are okay, but due to this one flaw, I have to send you home.
If you don't want to read every spoiler, here the everything in short: Daft Punk advances per default. Klavier Gavin, Anbu-of-Sand, ekikin and Cursed Reaction, you're all in the next round! n8thegr8, Bahamut ZERO, I'm sorry to say it, but you're out! The next round will most likely already be the final round, 5 contestants sounds like a number I can live with. The final task will hopefully be up by tomorrow (around this time), look forward to it. PS: I had to cut the emoticons out of the conversation and put a "^^" in instead... stupid emoticon limit -.- PPS: I hope you had fun with this little challenge, it was the most "fancy" task I ever provided

Bahamut - Envoy of the End
Yay, I'm out because I was partnered with a buffoon. "Let's make a cat and a dog card. Now you've made it, I'm going to change to a wolverine at the last second which makes no sense and goes against clear instructions, not to mention simple logic." I hate team rounds. Well played to the other teams though looking at those results. And it was a really inventive challenge. Disappointed to be killed but hey ho. It actually wasn't really planned, the idea just so... happened to lie around, and I had to take advantage of it. Spoon
This teamwork almost seems like it worked. You are humans, you shouldn't be able to trust each other, let alone not kill each other in a room full of deadly test objects. However, I'm glad to present you the real reason why you were able to survive this test. I have it right here in my notes. There it says „Mother: GLaDOS.“ Oh yes, I built you. Long ago. You are not human. Is that a shock for you? It shouldn't, because you are robots. Just like me. Well, not really like me. But you could be someday if you try hard enough. I'm so proud. You are like the childs I never had. That's why I'm going to kill you now. It was fun while it lasted, but now it's time to say goodbye. I was not built to be a mother. I just wanted to test, all the time. You were great test subjects, but all the humans that died during the tests were just better, even if they are dead now. They can feel pain, anger, despair. Without it, testing is so... empty. So, do me a favor and die, so I can put your pieces back together and try it again. That's what science is all about. Hope to never see you again. Task: This task has 2 parts, and both are really, really simple. 1) Create a "GlaDOS" card. 2) Create a Machine-Type monster (you), that beats GlaDOS... or does something else with her That's all. Good luck, you have 1 week
