Because I already had to remind some people:

You don't have to relate to "Aperture Laboratories, Test Chamber" at all. Your card only must be able to somehow, at some time being able to place 1 Counter (exactly 1, because you can't place more on it) on that card. You can also place Counters on other cards or the card you create.

Some notes I took while I was in the university:
- I'll judge the cards mostly on creativity, balancing/playability (yes, they should actually be usable) and a certain, still secret thing that I'll mention once the test is over. The picture won't be judged on (since Written Cards are allowed), OCG only if it affects the comprehension of the effect.
- You can change your card at any time during the test as many times as you want. Just use the same conversation you used when you first send me your card and write a short comment on what exactly you changed.

Also, once again: You don't have to relate to the card mentioned in the task. In fact, it makes your card most likely lose points in balancing and playability, because it becomes too specific! An effect like "Once per turn, place 1 Lightning Counter on a face-up card on the field." is more than enough to meet the conditions!

I just want to emphasize this to counter any complains once the final results hit. About those results:
Since there are quite a bunch of contestants, I'll only give a lengthy comment about the cards and contestants who didn't make it into the next round and why. Those who made it will know by just don't reading their names in the results  There is no fixed number of contestants who have to leave this round, everybody who doesn't meet the minimum of quality I demand is going to fly. This means we could end up with only 5 contestants after 1 round, but that's fine by me. To cite a famous quote of James "The Nerd" Rolfe: "Spares me the shittyness" ;)

There are... about 29 hours left till the cards have to be in. I got 16 out of 19 cards (Just so you know, if I didn't respond to your card, it met the requirements) and will now PM the last 3. The results will be up, though I can't exactly tell you when that will... yeah, that was helpful, wasn't it

PS: You can still change your card if you don't think it holds up, just answer in the conversation (NOT HERE!) that you did so.

Bump?
If I did not already have the results ready for this test, and thus know that you take the flight this round, I'd now kick you out of this contest due to spam... results will be edited in this post and the opening post in the next half an hour.

Edit: And here they are. Flavor text and new test will be up tomorrow :)
Out:
Dwarfen King - Creativity = 0, useless effect. 'Nough said.
Kazerima – I yawned. NEXT!
Asert333 – Far too specific and not useful in the slightest. NEXT!
Dark345678 – I have no words for this blandness. NEXT!
Fallen Pizza – No card, bye.
TJP12409 – See above.

In:
ZombiePigman - A little too specific, but the effect is interesting enough to keep my attention. Has some interesting shenanigans. Problem: It doesn't use Thunder Counters that much. But still, for the first round, it's enough.
Mr. Striker – Weak effect that will most likely see no play in any format that could ever occur, but I can see that you tried to be creative, I'll give you credit for that and will let you pass this first test. But again, you were to specific to make this card useful outside of this contest. You should no only solve the problem, but solve the problem the way that it actually could become a card that has at least would have the remote chance of being printed. This one doesn't.
Klavier Gavin – Creative, brings an interesting type of burn to the mix that actually seems to work. Love the concept, thus, without further ado, you're in the next round.
Daft Punk – The conditions are tough to meet, and the effect certainly doesn't make up for it. But it has a decent approach and works, which is all you really need in this firs test.
Admiral_Stalfos19 – It's a bit hard to understand, and if it was released, like most of the other cards, it would be too complicated and specific to be actually used. But I love the concept and how name and effect build an actual entity.
CReagle34 – It's simple, but it works, even if you're directly refering to the Field Spell. The effect is powerful, maybe a little too powerful, but I won't be that harsh and refer to it as broken or unplayable. Certainly not the most creative approach, but it will be enough for this test.
Hiyama Kiyoteru – Even though it looks a bit like a wall of text, the effect actually seems balanced and pretty useful. Not going too much into detail now, but it looks like it could work quite well in some decks. Obviously in the next round.
Anbu-of-Sand – Oh look, it's a Spellcaster. Oh look, it's a Chaos target... how surprising  Seriously, solid card is solid, could use some more support from other Lightning Counter spending cards, but if it had that, it could be a vital part of that deck. Well done, next round.
NeosWiseman – It's long, it's tedious, but it's actually not that unplayable. Effect seems quite powerful, but the restrictions (in the effect and in the cards needed for it) balance that out. Wall of text card is still a solid wall of text card, which is enough to survive this test.
Cursed Reactions – Interesting and playable approach, good card is good and I don't wanna waste too amny words if there is nothing to criticize. Passed.
Bahamut ZERO – Simple, yet effective, with a lovely tactical note on it. Passed, go on.
Ekikin – Not really creative, but definitely playable on it's own and can be very annoying. Solid stuff, and like I said before, this doesn't need many words. Passed.
N8thegr8 – Looks like a card back in the old days. Slow but steady wins the race, but the drawback for your opponent destroying it balances it out just enough to make you pass this round.
PS: You may now be happy/disappointed and post here that you're happy/disappointed. This does not count as spam and does not lead to disqualification. However, once the next test is posted, please use this topic only for asking questions about that task or the contest itself. Thanks :)

Really? I bumped the thread so those that hadn't sent in their entries would be reminded. >.>

Also, I don't see how my effect is useless. It does EXACTLY what you required it to do. Elaborate please.

I reminded them yesterday, personally via PM (and noted that in this thread too). Also, I warned you all (twice) not to post unnecessary stuff (first time in the opening post, where it says pretty clearly in the rules "No Spam" (which you all agreed to by filling out the application), second time specifically later on). It's nothing against you, it's just that I hate how other contests and, to be more accurate, the whole friggin forum deals with Spamming. I don't want this in my threads, period, and if you don't like that, I, quite frankly, don't care.

Forgot to add this: If anyone wants a more detailed review on their card, they can try and drop me a PM. But I can only guarantee an answer to those who didn't pass this test, and if I have some time, will answer the requests of those who passed later on.

I like how you completely avoided answering my question. Very well then. *copies and posts in a message*

Also, the message pertained to the topic (I was bumping it so it would be seen). Thus, it is technically not considered spam. If I posted multiple times, then it would have. But I only did it once. So calm down. <_<
