Desu the Blue Nerd
After being slapped across the face Takeo rubbed the cheek where he was slapped. "Ow..." Even his cries of pain were dull and emotionless. The next thing he knew the girl had grabbed his collar and for a second his breathing stopped. His head fell back from the jerk. The girl kept talking but it really didn't matter to Takeo. He wasn't listening. When she was done talking his ead went back to its normal position to reveal that he was asleep again. His eyes were closed and drool was coming down from his mouth. Takeo's head dropped down forward.
.:Blu:.
Hearing what Minawe had just said to him, Haru's dreams of going on a date with Minawe shattered like fragile glass. "It's over for me..." Haru muttered as he sulks in a dark corner. Suddenly, Haru stood up, fire burning insanely in his eyes as he turned to face Aito. "It was you! You cast an evil magic on poor Mina-chan to have her treat me this way! I know it was you all along! Nice try buddy but I'm smarter than you think!" Haru proclaimed. Haru must've look like a complete and total idiot saying such nonsense. "In fact, you're probably an alien from outer space!" And with that line, Haru just made an already awkward situation even weirder. But you can't really blame Haru for all of this nonsense. As a child, Haru's parents had always resented him as the viewed him as a curse to his family due to a car incident involving Haru that killed his aunt and uncle. Haru spent his childhood being ignored by his parents and so he tried to do all that he can to get his parents attention, even to the point of telling ridiculous stories to try and grabbed their attention. However, nothing worked, and in the end, his parents kicked him out of the house when he was only twelve. The only member in his family who actually cared for him was his older sister who took Haru in after graduating from a university. To this day, it is his sister who is really a parent to Haru. However, that doesn't exclude the fact that Haru is making himself appear idiotic. "Alright buddy, you and me are gonna have a go at it right now- Oof!" Haru's sentence was interrupted by Shinji who karate chopped Haru in his neck, effectively rendering Haru unconscious in a somewhat comical manner. Takizawa was too busy being surrounded by schoolgirls to notice what had just happened. Shinji then quickly grabbed Haru before he fell to the floor. Shinji then looked at Aito and Minawe with a calm, serious expression. "Sorry about that. My friend can be a bit weird." Shin apologized on behalf of the unconscious Haru. Quiksilver
Aito had chuckled after Haru had been rejected -at least he wasn't the only one-, but after the boy started talking nonsense, he got more serious. "Hey man, don't go around accusing people of stuff like that. It's not cool. I would never do something to harm such a fine young- wait, did you just karate chop him?" Aito raised his eyebrows as Shinji ninja'ed the Haru kid. "Hm. Not how I would have done, but it's obviously effective. I'm Aito- Aito Fukuzawa. And you are?" As the boy apologized for his friend, Aito shook his hand as if to blow the whole thing off. "Don't worry, I have a lot of males mad at me for my mad flirting skills." Aito laughed slightly to show he was joking. Though it was true- Aito was a ladies' man, whatever his sister may say. She said he sucked at getting girls, when look here- his only competitor for Minawe had been knocked out! Ha! The chance was his. Time to get this girl once and for all. "Are you alright, my lady?" Aito turned to smile at Minawe, who was still sitting in her seat. "I'm sorry if you got hurt in this small incident." *** Kaiya laughed when Keith turned the flowers into a bunny. "Bravo." She said, and she accepted the stuffed animal. "Thank you, good sir." She was rather liking this Keith kid and his quirky sense of humor. She didn't really dislike people in most cases, however. "How do you do that? I remember I tried a magic trick once- it was that old milk in the newspaper one. The milk fell out and stained my blouse, if I remember correctly." Kaiya shook her head and laughed. "Man, that was embarassing! Especially since I was doing it in front of some of my friends. So, you think you could teach me a trick or too?"
Supreme Gamesmaster
Five minutes in hell. Why thank you, Takizawa-sensei. I'm sure we'll get along just fine. And her classmates. Urk. It was almost a caricature of the usual classroom dynamic: the boys fawning over one or two "pretty" girls and making themselves nuisances while other girls longed for their true personalities (though Ryoko didn't even want those), a showoff attracting the attention and ire of everyone not too busy fawning over a girl, herself left ignored at best or brutalized at worst. Well, it was a good day. Oh, she may as well stop pretending not to pay attention. It was a delectably amusing train wreck to watch. Pretty girl numero uno was, oddly, apparently unused to the attention -- she was almost caught off guard by her admirers. Hikari had told her the truly popular girls play hard-to-get; they come to admire their followers, no matter how irritating they are. There was a genuine contempt in pretty-girl's voice that would never infect someone who was used to being fawned over. But the problem was that she was absolutely stunning -- nearly as pretty as Hikari. Ryoko had to tear her eyes away from her to move on to her followers, whom she was supposed to be staring at. How in the world had she gotten away with not being doted on by every breathing male in the vicinity during her puberty? Finally, she managed to rip her eyes away from pretty-girl and turn to the boys arguing over her. They didn't hold her attention. Utterly unremarkable in their moronic devotion to a mere physical appearance -- just like every other high school boy in the world, with only token variations. She lay back and sighed. The last two years had been the same. And yet, she still felt the aura of Hagalaz nearby. The tower had risen, she thought, and it looked just the same as always. When would the lightning strike? .:Blu:.
"Aito huh? Nice to meet you, I'm Shinji Kimura." Shinji responded with a slight smirk just to be friendly. "I'll see ya around and good luck with whatever you're doing." Shinji said before walking off with a limp Haru. Walking back towards his desk, Shinji noticed that Haru was waking up. It didn't surprise Shinji however, he purposely made sure that his chop was just strong enough to render Haru unconscious for a little bit. After all, Shinji didn't want for Haru to miss out on the upcoming class lesson. Haru wiped his eyes and then noticed that he was being dragged. "H-Hey, what's going on? Why isn't my legs moving but I'm somehow walking... backwards?" Haru asked nobody in particular in a confused state of mind. "You're not moving backwards you idiot, I'm dragging you along back to your desk." Shinji replied plainly. "H-Hey! What happened to Mina-chan?" Haru asked, but then noticed Aito still talking to her. "What?! Hey let me go, I need to go take care of some business!" Haru proclaimed. Hearing this, Shinji glared at Haru with an irritated expression. "Would you stop causing trouble? Jeez, this is not a good time for you to be making a scene, got it?" Shinji asked, continuing to drag him along. "Alright, got it... Sorry... Can I use my own two feet now?" Haru asked, prompting Shinji to stop dragging him along and let him walk by himself. "Thanks... *Sigh* Guess Mina-chan isn't the right girl for me. Oh well, I'm sure there's someone out there for me!" Haru said happily. A sweatdrop appeared on Shinji's forehead after hearing what Haru had just said. "Well you certainly had a quick change of heart..." Shinji said as he watched Haru walk away happily towards his desk. Shinji then slightly smiled before walking towards his desk. Walking along, Shinji passed a student that gave him a weird feeling. It was a girl named Ryoko Hanazawa. Walking passed, Shinji turned and gaze at Ryoko a bit, his eyes showing a hint of shock. "(What was that feeling just now? It felt familiar but in a way also different... It's the same feeling I got from Aito and Minawe...)" Shinji thought to himself as he walked on. GreyCat
Keith grinned. He knew the trick she was referring to. One of the simple deceptions with appearances. Most people didn't realize the props that were required to pull them off. "Technically, my answers should be, I am a magician, and a magician never reveals his tricks. Seriously, I got grounded for doing that once. And that was before I was good at lock picking." Seriously. He would have been stuck there if he hadn't swiped the key. "But, I can explain a few simple tricks, since they are not mine." He pulled a roll of paper from his sleeve and dangled it so she could see. It was titled Three Points of a Magician, Sleight of Hand, Misdirection, Presentation. "These are the three basic factors any self respecting magician must have." he paused. "They are also the factors of any good conman, but that is neither here nor there. Props are also good for the common magics, but real magicians don't need them. And yes, I do carry this around in my sleeve."
Sweetie Belle
Sakumi, frustrated by the boy's lack of intelligence, shook him violently in one last attempt to get his attention. "Idiot! You don't even realize what's going on, do you? You wouldn't know a million yen if it dropped on your head! I'm surprised you haven't gotten yourself killed yet. I can't believe I even thought to like an idiot like you." She stopped herself quickly. She became slightly embarrassed that she admitted that she like him. She blushed, but continued to yell, not that the boy listened. Sakumi was always spoiled when she was a child. She got whatever, and whoever, she wanted, whenever she wanted to. To have a boy reject her, and downright ignore her, was a shock to her, something she never experienced before. Winded, she quit yelling. It was no use. She hadn't even been able to get his name. That was when she noticed a dog tag around his neck. She grabbed it, pulling the boy's neck along with it. She looked at the tag, hoping to find his name, in the least. However, all she saw were the words "Soul Chain." "This is useless! What an idiot..." A tear started to creep its way down her cheek.
Desu the Blue Nerd
Takeo was still fast asleep when the girl continued but after his dog tag was grabbed Takeo's eyes opened. He grabbed the girl's hand that was holding onto the tag the moment she had finished calling him useless but he didn't really care about what she said. Not like he was even paying attention. "Let go of the dog tag. This is an important item to me and I have no intention of losing it." There was no real change in his voice even when he seemed to be mad. "If there's something you want then hurry up and say it."
Hotaru987
Though she maintained her uncaring mask well, Minawe was surprised by Haru's outburst towards Aito. Minawe continued to watch with the slight tilt of her head, hoping that something or someone would quiet the idiot down. Thankfully someone did - Haru's friend - with a quick chop to the back of his neck. He then proceeded to apologize for his friend's unruly behavior, but Minawe wasn't paying attention to that. No, there was something else she was more intuned in and it was the feel she got from this boy. It was familiar, and completely different than what she remembered from him before. Minawe continued to stare at him trying to figure out why she was suddenly getting this feeling from him. Her "Soul sight" would be the quickest way to figure out why but there were too many people, and Aito was still by her desk. After a few minutes she finally tore her eyes from him just in time to hear his name: Shinji Kimura. She would have to remember that for later. When he left - thankfully taking his still unconscious friend with him - Minawe looked back at Aito when he asked if she was hurt. "I am quite alright Fuzukawa-san, I thank you for asking." She inclined her head slightly in a miniture bow. Even though he seemed to know nothing of Japanese tradition, that didn't mean she would throw all of her teachings out of the window. She would conintue to be respectful, despite the blatent disrespect of her peers. Besides she had to continuosly remind herself they were not taught as she was. "But I highly doubt I was in any danger." If she was Minawe was more than confident she could handle herself.
.:Blu:.
Sitting back down at his desk, Shinji's thoughts were still fixated on the strange feelings he sensed. Each one of them was in some way connected but then they diverged greatly. It has been quite a long time since Shinji had ever put so much thought into something, but this was just all to strange for Shinji. "Yo Shinji! Yo, you alright?" Haru asked, waving his hands in front of Shinji's face. Suddenly, Shinji snapped out of his deep thought and looked at Haru. "Y-Yeah I'm fine." Shinji replied hesitantly. Haru, though he may not look like it most of the times, is very perceptive and can accurately determine a person's emotions. Whenever Haru is observing someone, he always puts on a focused face. Shinji knew that Haru was observing him right at the moment and just stared at Haru blankly. "What are you doing Haru?" Shinji asked calmly with a hint of irritation in his voice. "Hmm, something is wrong Shinji. What is it?" Haru asked, forming his hand into a hand gun shape and placing it onto his chin for the appearance of a detective. A sweatdrop appeared on Shinji's forehead. "(Haru, you're smarter than you look...) Nothing is wrong." Shinji replied. "Oh really now?" Haru asked while gazing at Shinji with a skeptical look in his eyes. Suddenly, Takizawa stumbled out of the crowd of schoolgirls. "Alright, alright, everybody, please return to your seats. Five minutes have now passed." Takizawa proclaimed, a nervous sweatdrop can be seen on his forehead. It seems as though Takizawa views being handsome as a curse, especially after being engulfed in a sea of fan girls. "*Clears throat* Well now, let's begin by turning to page five in your English textbooks." Takizawa said as he took out a teacher's version of the textbook and turned to page five. Shinji took out his textbook and turned to page five as well, though his thoughts were still on the strange feelings he sensed. -Afternoon- The first day of school was now over. Shinji walked out of school and headed towards his house, only to be stopped by Haru. "Yo Shinji, wait!" Haru exclaimed as he ran towards Shinji. "What is it now Haru?" Shinji asked with his usual expression towards Haru. "Jeez man, don't gotta be so defensive now do ya? Anyways, I was thinking we should work together for that project in history, whataya say?" Haru asked, eagerly awaiting a "yes". "I don't know, maybe..." Shinji replied plainly before walking off. "W-Wait, what do you mean maybe? I mean it's not like you have any other friend in history class." Haru said. "It's a project, you don't have to work with a friend for the project. It's pretty simple stuff. All you need to do is make a diorama of a current event somewhere in the world." Shinji replied plainly. "Aww, you're no fun Shinji!" Haru exclaimed as he and Shinji walked off away from the school. Supreme Gamesmaster
A partner activity on the first bloody day. Wonderful. By now, Ryoko knew better than to try and acquire a partner, or to initiate any kind of social interaction of her own accord. The best case scenario was that a person would stare at her in that odd "oh-god-you're-broken" way and quietly agree to work with her, and then divide up the task so as to avoid all unnecessary contact with her. More often, she was rejected out of hand. Everyone had a friend to turn to, another unfortunate supplicant that had gotten their first and was, conveniently, already gone. Others didn't bother with excuses, simply rejecting her out of hand. She counted the number of students in class quickly. An even number. Blast. Thus, she simply sat and waited for the last unfortunate student to be coerced into working with her.
Hotaru987
The rest of the day went by uneventfully - at least compared to the English class in the morning. She still couldn't believe how many people actually came up to her. Though she didn't see anything at the time, she couldn't help but notice how Kaiya acted just like Hiko did. It was strange to see someone that reminded her of her only friend. In fact that was the first time somebody had ever plagued her thoughts so much. Minawe knew it was simply a coinsidence, but it was still....Strange. Feelings she hadn't felt in a long time began surfacing because of Kaiya. Her brother, though not as thought plaguing as his sister, did make an impression on Minawe. Though she wasn't entirely sure if it was in Aito's favor or not. Kieth was more or less in the same boat. "Thank you." She said bowing slightly to the boy that held the door open for her. "Y-you're welcome M-minawe." Then there ws the fact that everyone - besides the teachers - seemed hell bent on refferring to her by her first name; yet another thing she would have to reaccustom herself too. Her walk home was a quiet one, with Minawe reflecting over the duties she would have to preform once she was home. There was no doubt a long line of people waiting to be blessed, or purified at the shinto shrine at their house. It would no doubt take the majority of the day but it wasn't a problem for her. .:Blu:.
((Gamesmaster, the day has ended so you can go home now)) Arriving back at his house, Shinji opened the door to noticed that the lights were turned off. "Huh? Looks like no one's home." Shinji said before turning on the lights. Shinji then made his way into the kitchen, and walked towards the refrigerator. Opening it, Shinji noticed an already prepared plate of food wrapped with plastic with a note on the plastic wrapping. Shinji proceeded to take the plate out and placed it on the counter. He then proceeded to take a look at the note. "Dear Shinji, today I'm taking Midori to visit Aunt Asami. Food has already been prepared as you can see by the plate. Midori and I won't be back until late at night so that's why I prepared your dinner beforehand. Make sure to warm the food before eating. Be careful for any strangers. Love, Dad." "Be careful for any strangers? What am I a little kid? I can handle myself quite well." Shinji said as he placed the plate of food back into the fridge, and then taking a can of soda out. After closing the fridge door, Shinji made his way up to his room. As usual, Shinji spent his afternoon studying ahead of what's needed then doing his afternoon workout. In the evening, Shinji finished eating dinner and taking a shower. Now Shinji was once again in his room, just watching TV. "Arrg, c'mon Takeza, you can take this amateur can't ya?! Show him who's champ!" Shinji shouted to the TV as he was watching a martial arts tournament taking place with one of his favorite judo fighters, Takeza Uminaka. Shinji was quite wilded up as fighting was probably the only thing Shinji had passion for. -Elsewhere- "Little girl? Are you alright?" a man appearing to be in his forties asked a crying little girl. The girl did not answered, but continued to cry. "Are you lost? Do you need help finding your parents? It's alright, no need to cry, I'll help you." the man reassured the crying little girl. As he walked towards the little girl, the little girl stopped crying and began laughing in a dramatically different voice, an almost evil voice. Suddenly, the little girl's body began to tremble and tear. The man was horrified at to what he was looking at. The apparently crying little girl turned out to be some kind of monster, an Akukon to be more exact. The Akukon appeared as a blueish black bipedal, dog-like creature who is heavily muscular and doesn't appear to have ears. It also seems to not have any fur or hair. It is also quite large, standing at about eleven feet and nine inches (11'09"). "Huh? I don't smell the scent of a Yuishoko on you. Oh well, at least I can still kill you hahaha." the Akukon said maliciously. "AHHH!" the man screamed as he attempted to run away, however, it was to no avail. The Akukon made quick work of the man by slashing it with razor-sharp claws and then devouring the man whole. "Ack! That human didn't taste very good... Arrg, I know there are Yuishoko hidden within this town." the Akukon snarled before running off. The Akukon ran out of the park where a sign clearly saids, "Tanimori Park"... Hotaru987
"In the name Buddah I, Minawe Kanigawa, here by clense you of any impure spirits and curses." She clapped her hands together and waving an Ofuda - or a talisman - over the bowing couple's head. Minawe spoke some more prayers, and in a few more minutes she told them that it was ok for them to move. There are rare times when she is actually banishing an evil spirit or curse from a person, as most of the time the person only believes they they are cursed. Either way, it is not for someone of her duties do decline the person who is asking for help. "Oh thank you so much Priestess. We have been plagued with the most terrible dreams of late. Now that you have purified us we will be able to sleep in peace." The woman thanked bowing her head in thanks. "It was both my duty and honor to help. You may take these talismans and place then in your home if you wish." She handed the couple one talisman each. "This should keep whatever spirits that plague you out of your home." The couple thanked her again before leaving. Once they were gone Minawe blew out all of the candles, then made her way to the main house - seeing as that was the last person for the day. It was finally time for a bit of rest, but as she was changing into a kimono - as she is required to were when in the house - she couldn't help but feel on edge. Like something was about to happen, something very bad. "I do not think my duties are over for the night..." She mumbled staring out into the distance where she felt the ominous feeling. Unknow to her she was facing the direction of 'Tanimori Park'
GreyCat
Well, not bad for a day at school. English class was a bore; he was fluent in it. After all, it and Japanese were his first languages. The rest came later. He never did get to teach Kaiya anything, but it was fun talking with her. But the only problem was the history assignment. Current affairs didn't concern him. Magicians made history, not cared about it. Maybe he could made something about the unrest in those African countries. But the other hard part was finding a partner. He could ask one of those kids that the wand sparked about (namely Kanigawa, Kaiya an her borther, Shinji, Ryoko, Takeo and Sakumi), or one of the nameless back ground characters. Okay, they weren't nameless, but they didn't have that feeling that Fate was watching them. Or his wand. He shuddered slightly. No idea why, but he still did. Strange. There was another chain on his fence, but he was too busy brooding over the peculiarities of his wand suddenly interested in seven of his classmates to bother with it and jumped the fence and climbed in through the kitchen window, which Karmen left open when she cooked. She didn't look up when he entered. "Hey sweetie," she said, peeling potatoes without a knife. "How was your day?" "Okay. You realize that I just broke into the house. right?" "Really? Say, do you want the curry sweet or spicy?" "Seriously, am I being trained as a master magician or a phantom thief?" "A century or so ago, there wasn't much of a difference," she murmured casually as she switched to chopping vegetables. "Spicy?" Keith sighed. "Spicy." Desu the Blue Nerd
Takeo hadn't really managed to pay attention at all during class. He slept whenever the teacher was talking about something he knew, didn't care about, or just when he could. Pretty much the only time he was awake was when something important to his grade was happening. It was a skill he has refined over the years without knowing or caring how he does it. He woke up from a nap right before the teacher told the students about an assignment about making a diagram of a current event. Appareantly you could have a partner but Takeo decided he would just do it himself to spare himself the trouble of having a partner. The end of school bell woke him up from another one of his naps. Like pretty much everybody else he put his stuff away and left. He had to get home right away so he wouldn't be late for training. After the subway ride and walking that totaled about 10 minutes he got back to the Mizushima's mansion. There waiting for him at the gate was Rin, Ken, and an older man. The third was a tall and obviously muscular 32 year old man named Daichi Sato. He was wearing a simple white t-shirt and denim pants. "Hello Senpai. Hello Rin. Hello Ken." Daichi has been Takeo's trainer since Takeo first became a member of the Mizushima family. Daichi didn't really like Takeo and therefore would put him through extremely tough training but his accomplishment through most of the tasks given has only increased his hatred but the pay was really good so he stayed. "Hey you little brat. You ready for today's training?" Takeo simply nodded. "Today I have a special idea for training and that's why Rin and Ken will be watching." Rin seemed to only care about seeing her brother getting all sweaty and Ken was just there to get out of chores. "Today you will fight me." Takeo didn't really seem to care what his training was. "If you knock me out then you can spend the rest of the time we normally would training to sleep." Takeo charged at Daichi without hesitation. Rin and Ken started cheering him on. Takeo went for a punch right off the bat. Daichi laughed ready for it. He simply caught Takeo's wrist. "Idiot. I didn't mean here. The ground is hard. A fall here would hurt more." Rin and Ken seemed dissappointed that Takeo's attack failed but they did agree with Daichi. They didn't want him to be hurt. "That's the point," Takeo mumbled. The other three's eyes widened a little bit. With his free hand Takeo grabbed Daichi's arm. He jumped up using Daichi's own arm to help propel him up. He managed to land a kick on Daichi's face as they both let go of eachother. The kick also allowed Takeo to propel himself away from Daichi and do a backflip. Daichi fell back onto the ground but soon sat up wiping away the blood from his face with his hand. Daichi stood back up now obviously pissed. "You little bastard!" Daichi charged this time and the two really began to intensify in their fight. The two began a fury of punches, blocks, and kicks. Both weren't leaving an openings in their attacks and blocks. "Remember what I've taught you! If you can't find an opening then make one." He blew out from his nose causing a big glob of blood and snot to land in Takeo's eyes. Using this oppurtunity Daichi punched Takeo rigtht in the face. Takeo flew back into the street. To reduce the damage of the impact with the ground he rolled. Daichi was still laughing as Takeo slowly got back up.. "You should have stayed down." Daichi charged again but Takeo was ready. He may not be able to see but his hearing was fine. He quickly sidestepped to the right but left his left foot in its original placement while also lifting his left arm up. Daichi tripped right over his foot and Takeo brought his elbow down onto the falling Daichi's back. Daichi blacked out at the moment of impact with the ground. "Hey Rin. Hey Ken. Help me get him past the gate. He's heavy and I can't see." They happily did as told and helped the two inside. Takeo quite frankly didn't want to get the blood and snot onto any other places so he had Ken him to the bathroom where he took a quick shower. Afterwards he found a nice and well hidden place in the Mizushima garden to take a nap in.
.:Blu:.
A loud sound can be heard emanating from within Shinji's room. Apparently, Shinji is snoring having fallen asleep while working on his homework at his desk. Suddenly, Shinji's bracelet began to glow an intense red color. Shinji, being asleep, didn't notice however. On the streets of Tanimori Town, the sound of running feet can be heard quite loudly. However, it wasn't just the sound of running from one individual, rather it was from two. To be more specific, it was the same Akukon from before who had eaten the man, and is now chasing after a young high school girl. "AHHH! Please, someone save me!" the girl yelled as she ran as fast as she possibly could. "Hahahaha, keep running human, but either way, you will become my second course for this evening!" the Akukon viciously proclaimed as he continued to chase her down. Suddenly, Shinji awoke and sat up quickly in his computer chair. "*Gasp* What is this? I feel a strange sense of... danger... It's approaching here." Shinji mumbled to himself. On one hand, Shinji knew what he was saying sounded like complete nonsense, but on the other hand, somehow, Shinji knew what he was saying was completely true. "*Sigh* I need to clear my head..." Shinji said before standing up, putting on his jacket, and walking out of his room. At other parts of Tanimori Town, more Akukon have appeared. A large red, demon-like Akukon had just picked up the scent of a Yuishoko coming from the house of Minawe Kanigawa, and so it started its pursuit towards Minawe's house. Shortly, it was nearing Minawe's house. "Hehe, if I can collect this Yuishoko, the boss may promote me hehehe." the Akukon said with a devious smirk. Then already arriving at the house of Keith Kagetsu-Lucine was an Akukon who has a bug-like appearance. It appeared to be a cross between a scorpion and a praying mantis except being extremely large and completely black in color. "Well, it looks like I got lucky..." the Akukon said in an almost whisper-like voice. Next up, a reddish brown, flying bat-like Akukon with large white horns arrived above Takeo's mansion, sensing a Yuishoko. The Akukon was silent and only starred at the mansion for awhile before it started to flap it's wings at high velocity, causing strong currents of wind to bash into Takeo's mansion. At Ryoko Hanazawa's house, an Akukon with the appearance of a demon covered in spikes appeared, sniffing the air with its elongated snout. A long tongue then flickered out from it's mouth in an almost snake-like fashion. "The air is ripe with the energy of a Yuishoko. Tonight, I will have my fifth human slaughter." the grotesque-looking Akukon stated. At the Fukuzawa household, a large blue, sphere-like Akukon covered in rolls of long spikes appeared. It seems to be rolling across the ground to move instead of walking. It's most distinguishing feature however was it's human mask-like face, like a noh mask except it's the same color as it's body and not white in appearance. "Oh my, lovely humans I can feast on along with the lingering scent of not one, but two Yuishoko I can collect." the Akukon said in an almost female-like voice but the majority of the voice sounds like that from a male. And finally, a watery blob-like Akukon made it's way from the sewers to Sakumi Kawai's house. The creature seems to doesn't have any organs and distinguishable features. That is except for it's shape which is sphere-like at the top and slender down. It moved across the ground swiftly with movements comparable to a snake in the grass. Back at Shinji's house, Shinji was standing outside of his house, looking up to the stars and thinking. However, the calm atmosphere was disrupted by the sound of screaming. Startled, Shinji looked to left where the sound was emanating from and to his unbelievable surprise was a girl, the school girl who was being chased by the Akukon. Shinji's eyes grew large as he saw the massive brute, his body unable to move...
Hotaru987
Minawe was eating dinner with her mother and father during the time the Akukon was making it's way to her home. There was light, almost no, conversaition at the table - which hardly bothered Minawe as she was used to it. Her father never really spoke to her unless it was pertaining to her duties as either a Miko, or being the keeper. Her mother was just as quiet, but there were a few times when they would talk about something other than work. There were times when Minawe felt like a stranger in her own house. Like she was simly staying there with people whom she didn't know, and didn't know her. They didn't feel like a family. The only sound at the table was the light clinking of china as dishes were being moved around, but that all suddenly stopped when Minawe tensed. Something was close! Her father, Cho-hi, noticed the change in her daughter, "Is there something wrong?" Minawe didn't answer and instead hopped up. "I think...I think I sense something. I felt something was wrong earlier but...You both should find some place safe to hide for a while." She stated quickly leaving the table - the first time ever without asking for permission - and heading outside. Her eyes narrowed at what was only feet away from the gates to her home. A large monstrous, red Akukon stoon there with a sick grin on his face. It surprised her considering Tanimori was considered sacred ground on which Akukon were unable to touch. So much for that theory. Minawe thought. She looked down at herself - a kimono was hardly the proper attire to fight in but she didn't have a choice. "This was one of my favorites..." She stated almost sadly before ripping the bottom part so that she was able to run. Next thing was their location. She couldn't exactly have a fight with one of these right in the middle of the street where houses could be destroied and people could get hurt. Maybe she could lure it away...There was a river and a bridge she could take it...There were no people over there...
Supreme Gamesmaster
OoC: I'm assuming that, as an early villain with a good while of experience, I'll start out stronger than the others and level up proportionally more slowly, as it were. Well, that was fast. Usually, she had to walk while she was on the hunt. Then again, the bridge was practically next door to her, and it was a popular drop point for Akukon. She murmured a sentence: "I eat the apple of light and darkness." It happened so quickly that the snake seemed to explode. Black scales materialized from nowhere to cover a space that nearly encompassed Ryoko's entire bedroom. Wicked fangs took shape near the door, and with them, clear blue eyes began to glow... Ryoko stood perfectly still. But Ladon the serpent did not. It slithered slowly around its master's legs and silently slid out the open window, fixing its eyes on its spiked caricature. Then, in an instant, it struck. Once again, it seemed to explode. It hurtled through the air at absurd speeds, spiraling through the air as if it were beneath the sea. By the time the Akukon registered its presence, however, Ladon had reared up upon the ground, its eyes burning crimson. It let its fearsome maw open wide as a spark stirred within. In the next instant, the Akukon's face was on fire, and Ladon once again slithered through the air. However, it didn't do so to attack -- rather, it left to join Ryoko, who had dashed out into the yard during the battle. The black serpent curled around its master's right leg, twisted once around her waist, and then stretched behind her neck to slither into position. Its eyes, now golden, burned where a normal person's right hand would be -- just past the tip of Ryoko's deformed arm.
GreyCat
Dinner pasted without much event. Karmen's curry came out neither sweet nor spicy, but salty. Seeing that her last attempt was sour, Keith and Madoka took is as an improvement. Some of Madoka's rabbits escaped and raided the salad bowl, but they were recaptured before they could free their cellmates the doves. After the meal, Madoka tossed Keith a staff and directed him to the backyard for bo training. According to him, a magician was to know many ways to surprise the audience, and the skills and principles of kendo, bojutsu, and fighting could be put to good uses by a good magician. He had a feeling that it had more to do with the 'something important' about his birthmark. Speaking of which, about halfway through dinner, his mark started burning and he could almost see something outside through the wall. The pain faded, though not quite passed, and he ignored it. Bad move. A few feet from the back door, something large, dark and strong slammed into him, kicking up a cloud of dust and dirt. But that weird wand of his protected him, summoning a giant jack of diamonds card. Keith stared in a daze at the creature. Like a mantis centaur with a scorpion for a base. He heard Karmen and Madoka scream. He distantly thought of what the neighbours would think. Maybe another weird trick idea involving explosives? It happened before and they had the license so people stopped calling the police when something went 'bang' on their property. His head cleared. "Hey, Akudama," he said, a bit unsure of how he was to fight that thing, but knowing his tricks would be able to distract the time enough for Karmen and Madoka to get away. He grinned confidently and held out his left hand, palm facing down. "I guess it's Showtime." His mark vanished in a burst of sparks, and a black disk formed just under hand. He grabbed it and snapped it out into a top hat which he rested on his head. A silver band wrapped around in and a silver crescent moon appeared, attacked a mite off center. His shorts, tee and slippers glowed silver, transforming into a three piece black suit, dress shoes and a silver shirt. His hands glowed and he gained silver gloves. A cape burst from his collar, pinned with another crescent moon and billowed behind him. The tail rose and struck again, but Keith rolled away. So, Madoka was right about those skills. "Lets works some magic, shall we?" he asked with his stage smile. A silver glowing crescent, set with the opening pointing up, appeared on his forehead. He drew his wand from the jacket pocket and twirled it; the wand growing to the size of a bo staff as he did. "Admission for this show: answers! For my first trick: what do you want here?" "Well, it looks like you are the showy one. I want your yuishoko." It reared up and lashed out with it's large scythe like claws. Keith leap into the air and floated just outside it's reach. The floating trick took a while to master, but it was useful. But as for that yuishoko thing, he didn't know what the bug was talking about. "Well, you paid for your first trick, let me deliver." He held out his hand and a set of cards shoot out. It shuffled itself in the air. The bug's tail slammed into him, knocking him to the ground. He barely managed to block it with his bo wand. He gasped, feeling his ribs bruise, but got back to his feet. Madoka and Karmen were inside looking out. Why were they lingering. "Have you no professional courtesy?" The cards still shuffled in the air. He swung his free hand. "Nine Spades!" Nine cards arranged themselves then shot out to impale the bug. It defended itself with it's tail and blades so not much damage was done as six of the cards glanced off, thought two stuck. "Okay, this might be difficult." The bug charged. Desu the Blue Nerd
By now Takeo had managed to get in a few hours of sleep. His eyes slowly began to open as a young boy with light brown hair and eyes snuck through the bush into Takeo's hiding spot. It wasn't Ken's appearance that had woke him up though. "It looks like I caught you when you're actually awake for once." Ken reached behind him and took out a small container with a spoon taped on and can of soda. "The container contains fried rice with terriyaki sauce. I made it myself. The can contains root beer. I bought it myself." Ken snickered at his joke as Takeo just took the container and root beer. Takeo quickly finished off his food and stood up. Ken seemed a bit upset that he ate it so quickly instead of savoring the taste. "Get inside Ken. Something seems off. The air is strange." Ken had an extremely puzzled look on his face and his confusion didn't seem to help when the dog tag and chain coming out from the bottom of his jacket began to glow. "Well that's never happened before. Get inside Ken and tell everybody to get into the basement." Ken nodded and ran inside the house. Takeo walked out of the garden to try and see what was going on. The feeling that something was wrong was just in the air. Suddenly a large bust of wind came by almost launching Takeo off of his feet. "That's some strong wind. Some strong storm is probably comi-" He stopped mid-sentence when he looked up at the sky. There was barely anything in the sky. In fact the wind wasn't right. Most wind would be blocked by the walls of the Mizushima mansion. Not only that but the wind cam directly from above. "Can't you see it Ineot?"Standing beside him was a much older man in his late 50s. He had short gray hair that went along fairly well with his gray moustache. He wore a blue kimono with patches of green on it that even with the heavy wind barely moved. "Can't you see it?" He pointed up to something in the sky. It didn't take too long for Takeo to notice the distinct reddish brown brown object. "That's no machine. Not all your enemies are human. If they were it'd be too easy." As easily as he randomly appeared the older man dissappeared. "Bastard old man...Can't he see I'm tired?" Takeo focused his sights on whatever was in the air. "Let's take a nap you'll never wake up from." His dog tag keychain seemed to shatter with the shards just soon dissappearing. A ninjato attached to a chain came out of each of his jacket sleeves and fell to the ground. The chain lead from the bottom of the ninjato's handle to Takeo's jacket's sleeves. The chain soon retracted back into the sleeves until the ninjato was in Takeo's hands. "Let's make this quick."
Sweetie Belle
Sakumi had thrown herself onto the bed. She was still damaged by the fact that a boy ignored her for the first time. She got up, wiping the tears from her eyes. Master, look out! Blaze activated, transferring its seal to Sakumi's forehead in a giant flash of red light. "Blaze, what's goi--" Sakumi didn't finish. In a swift motion, a blue blob-like monster stole her from her bed, and dragged her out the window. Sakumi's bedroom was on the third floor, unfortunately. The fall broke Sakumi's left arm. The Akukon absorbed Sakumi into its hideous form, and began to make its way away from the house. "BAKUHATSU!" Suddenly, a violent explosion came out from inside the Akukon, causing it to fly in pieces, although they had a drop-like formation. A red aura appeared around Sakumi, but it drifted upward as a wisp of smoke. Sakumi fell to the ground, into a puddle of the Akukon. She got up, and looked around at the fallen enemy. "Blaze, what was that?" That was an Akukon. Akusui, to be precise. A water based Akukon. "Wait, it has a name?" That's all I know. Akukon are always different. There's no telling what they'll look like, and what they can do. "Well, at least I killed it. Come on, I'm going back in. It's cold out here." Sakumi returned to her normal state, and walked back into her house. The quick fight had allowed Sakumi to forget about Takeo for the night, but it also left residue all over her. "Damn, I need to get all this off." Sakumi's bathroom was huge. The toilet had its own separate room, and the bath was as big as one of the Roman public baths. Her shower was its own room as well, with water jets on every wall. A panel on the door allowed her to customize everything about the shower: water pressure, water temperature, even water color! The sink was the most elaborate part of the room. The faucet and drain cover were made of pure gold, and the cabinets were like walk-in closets. Sakumi changed into a bikini, and stepped into the bath. She let herself slip under the soothing warm water, and forgot about all her surroundings. Quiksilver
Aito and Kaiya were in the living room when they heard noises from outside. They probably should have been working on their project- which they teamed up to do, since they lived together- but after several minutes of fruitlessly trying to persuade her brother to stop kicking around a soccer ball -another offense, given they were still inside- so Kaiya had resigned herself to her fate and settled down on her couch. She had begun flipping channels on their T.V. when she heard a strange squishing noise, seemingly emanating from their front yard. Setting down the remote, Kaiya frowned and tried to pinpoint the noise. This proved impossible with her brother still kicking around the soccer ball, narrowly missing the various furniture set around the room as he did so. "Aito, stop kicking that ball around, please. I think I heard something." Aito dexterously flipped the ball off his foot and into his hands. "What didya hear?" "That's the something part, now, isn't it? C'mon, let's investigate." Now that the ball had stopped moving, Aito could hear the squishing noise his sister had heard quite clearly- it was most definitely coming from the yard, and seemed to get closer as the seconds ticked by. Intrigued, Aito followed his sister out of the living room, past the kitchen and towards the front door. As they walked, the twins' apprehension grew- what could this noise be? It wasn't their parents- their stepdad was staying overtime at his job and their mother was asleep upstairs, after having told the twins work had tired her out and that they were to be in bed by midnight at the latest. The noise definitely didn't sound human- more like what one would imagine a slug, or a snail, to sound like. Having reached their front door, Kaiya hesitantly reached out, grabbed the handle, and opened the door. What she saw next made her scream. A large, bluish blob was walking- no, rolling- it's way towards the front door, rolling over the dewy grass and causing it to squish and produce the noise the twins had heard. The thing was oblong and covered in spikes, except for it's face- it was covered by a mask, which almost seemed like one of those masks you see in Japanese theater, except this one was the same color as the creature's flesh. As the twins looked on at the beast in horror, it froze, and then, looked up at them. "Ah, there are the pretty ones, themselves..." The soft, almost-girl voice was at odds with the lips speaking it, and the creature in a whole. "You hold my Yuishoko, do you not?...Ah, I will do well tonight!" The voice cackled, and the creature began approaching more quickly. "Kaiya...we have to destroy it." The words uttered from Aito's mouth were cold and free of expression, and were said by instinct rather than conscious choice. Aito's eyes widened as he heard himself say that, but what shocked him more was that Kaiya nodded. She turned to look at him, and something seemed to change with her eyes. They suddenly took on a blue hue, and Aito's eyes themselves were suddenly cast in red. And then, the twins knew what to do. "Sakusei wa hakai no owaridesu!" "Hakai wa sakusei owaridesu!" Kaiya and Aito said them respectively at the same time- suddenly, bright lights, one blue and one red, flared and Aito felt a strange feeling in his left eye and Kaiya felt the same, but in her right eye. As the lights began to fade, Kaiya and Aito looked each other once more, and noticed something- strange glowing kanji had appeared on their cheeks- the kanji for "Destruction" was glowing bright red on Aito's cheek and the kanji for "Creation" in blue on Kaiya's. Power, seemingly limitless, flowed within them- suddenly, the creature they had previously feared seemed like an insignificant threat. Together, Kaiya and Aito had enough power to destroy the Akukon- the foreign word sprung to their minds, and while the twins didn't know what the word meant, they knew it described the creature in front of them. As one, they turned towards the beast together. The sphere-shaped creature froze, and something approaching doubt appeared in his- or was it her?- voice. "They told me you did not how to use your powers..." The voice abruptly hardened. "Oh well." The front of the creature rose into the air and then the Akukon threw itself at the twins. Fear entered Aito and Kaiya's hearts for the first time after their strange transformation, and they instinctively raised their hands to shield themselves. Blue and red energy flickered on their palms- and suddenly a shockwave of red energy leaped from Aito's palm, a flurry of blue energy shaped like daggers from Kaiya's. The two hit the creature in it's belly, and even though some of the energy was dispelled by the spikes, the attack was strong enough to sent the creature flying backwards, landing on the sidewalk. Aito and Kaiya both staggered, feeling an incredible loss of energy within them, their legs turning to jelly. Even as they dropped to their knees, they saw the creature rise up from the street, making a strange noise resembling heavy breathing. "Ah..." It's voice spoke again, this time filled with pain. "...I see. You do not know how to control your powers, is it...Shame." The eyeholes of the mask on the creature's face suddenly glowed. "For you, that is." With a scream this time, it leaped at Aito and Kaiya once more.
.:Blu:.
((Hopefully, you guys read my message on the OOC before posting)) Still paralyzed with shock as to what he was seeing, Shinji appeared to be an open target for the Akukon. The girl who was being chased ran passed Shinji and continued until she found a corner where she turned. The girl probably thought the Akukon would be occupied with Shinji instead of chasing after her, and she was right. The Akukon, sensing the presence of a Yuishoko, and a powerful one at that stopped in its tracks. Looking straight at Shinji, the Akukon revealed its sharp canine fangs through a malicious smile. "Hehe, well, well, guess I don't have to keep searching anymore. The object I seek is standing right in front of me." the Akukon proclaimed, hoping to intimidate Shinji. Shinji began edging away slowly, his body seems to be trembling a bit. "W-What is this thing?" Shinji mumbled to himself. The Akukon, having a strong sense of hearing, could here every word that came out of Shinji's mouth which caused it to only widened its smile. "What's this? A keeper who hasn't seen an Akukon? Oh that's right, new generation keepers living in Tanimori Town have never even heard of an Akukon nor have the even heard about a Yuishoko. This is going to be too easy." the Akukon said as it held its left hand up and extended its sharp claws. "(What should I do? The logical choice here is to run but... Right now with the distance between me and that thing, I don't think I'll be able to even get a leg moving... Maybe I can try to distract it...)" Shinji thought to himself. However, Shinji couldn't think of any way to distract the Akukon. So now, Shinji resorted to only one tactic. "Hey mutt! You think you can scare me?! I'll beat the crap out of you!" Shinji shouted. "Hehehe, trying to put up a brave face I see? That won't work, I can smell the fear emanating from you human." the Akukon replied. "Heh, why don't you return to your owner you hairless freak?! (C'mon, all I need to do is dodge its attack when it tries to attack me, then I can make a run for it...)" Shinji thought to himself. Hearing what Shinji had just called it, the Akukon flared with anger. "What did you call me you stupid human?!" the Akukon snarled with anger. "Aww what's the matter, did I struck a nerve flea bag? C'mon, I'm not scared of you!" Shinji responded as he punched his right fist into his left hand. At that single moment, Shinji felt as if he was prepared to fight rather than flight, which caused something to happen. Suddenly, Shinji's bracelet began to glow an intense red color. "W-What's happening now?" Shinji asked in a confused state. Suddenly, a ring of fire appeared on the ground with Shinji being within the ring. Shinji looked around, scared as to what was happening. Suddenly, the fire gathered and leaped onto Shinji's right arm. "AHHHHH!!!" Shinji shouted in pain as his whole right arm was completely engulfed in flames... -Meanwhile- Sensing the Yuishoko nearing it, the Akukon located at Minawe's house laughed in revelry. "Whoohoo! Finally some action! I wonder if this human'll taste good hehe!" the red Akukon exclaimed. "Come out, come out wherever you are keeper! You won't be able to hide for long, and if you do, these buildings around me will be destroyed one by one and it's occupants will be eaten, women, children, none will be spared hahaha!" the Akukon laughed wildly as if this was just some kind of sick game to him. -Meanwhile- Seeing it's target finally outside in the open, the bat-like Akukon smirked. Suddenly, the bat-like Akukon opened it's mouth and an invisible wave of sound shot out of its mouth and headed towards Takeo. "(Well, well, it seems you've finally decided to come out from your den. I am Higure, and I'm hear to collect your Yuishoko. So why don't you hand it over and there will be no need for me to rip you limb from limb?)" The exact thought entered into Takeo's mind after being hit by that invisible wave of sound. Soon, Higure began circling the area. "(Actually, I think I'd rather take it by force and devour you piece by piece.)" Another thought entered into Takeo's mind. Suddenly, Higure stopped it's circular flying and charged straight towards Takeo on the ground. From its horn, Higure began charging what appears to be a ball of yellow energy. Then the ball was shot towards Takeo before Higure once again ascend into the air to avoid being reached. However, it still remained in a very limited range. It seems as though it can't be too far away from Takeo's position.
