Operation: Survival (PG16+, always accepting)

He pressed on his ear and said something in his intercom, " Wolf! Wolf can you hear me! S'ai, Kisa, and myself are getting out of here wait in the Garage!" Rex hopped over a barrier of some sort and led the way. They finally got to the Humvee, Rex noticed that the Humvee had an opening on the roof and a un manned turret, but before entering the car he grabbed a 6 pack of beer he looked at S'ai and smiled, " You know me.." He entered the car and took out a beer and opened it, he got onto the turret and drank about 3/4's of his beer, " I'm ready to get started gentlemen!"

Kisa nodded slightly and went to follow the order givenl to follow Rex. She stayed behind him - Rex that is - and was second to hop into the HUMVEE after Rex. As so as she was in she instantly sat in the far corner, and stared straight a head with no a simple expression on her face. As long as she didn't feel threatened she would't attack the people in the car. It was strange to not be fighting while in this state, because usually it was kill or be killed. She never had to worry about comrads being in the way - even though she still wouldn't care if she mamed them - because before they all knew that if they didn't move they would die. Either way Kisa remained still.

Seeing how Rex 3/4th of the way drunk and seeing how Kisa was liable to kill someone...S'ai was really unsure of himself in this awkard situation: Having a drunk manning a turrent was one thing, but sitting near a person who was prone to kill him with a half-crazed man shooting like wildfire, S'ai reluctantly jumped in with the HUMVEE. Rubbing his chin in a dumbstrucked face, S'ai simply said [color="#FF8C00"]"It's always the white guys isn't...?"[/color] Turning his attention to ordered Kisa to put on his glasses. Quickly drowing in his own despair.

After everyone was settled in, S'ai patted the driver on the shoulder indicating that everyone was all set. Upon leaving the garage, S'ai shouted over the roar of the engine [color="#FF8C00"]"Is any one of you [i]'Wolf'[/i] !?"[/color]

Registering her next order, Kisa reached into her pocket only hesitating twice - almost as if she was trying not to put her glasses back on. Five seconds passed before her wire framed glasses was back on her face, and her eyes returned to normal as a smile stretched across her face. "Oh man! It's great to be back!" She exclaimed completely un aware that she had tried to kill Rex. It usually took Kisa a few minutes before everything her split personality had done. Kisa removed the radios that was around her neck wincing when she felt a painful throbbing in her right hand. "What the...It looks like I got hit with a knife..."

It was then it was slowly coming back to her, almost like a movie being played in slow motion. She glanced at Rex and then S'ai before looking down. She was relieved that she didn't accedentally kill Rex, but she was hoping that S'ai wasn't too mad.

Getting no response from the the driver, S'ai leaned back in seat, placed his elbow on the HUMVEE-door and rested his face on his fist. Thanking whatever god he didn't offend, that he was still alive. But he was caught off-gaurd when Kisa suddenly shouted in excitement. Looking behind him, S'ai just stared blankly into kisa's eyes that had the attention span of a...well a Kitten and just grimmaced at her. He was used to Xingba's and Lance's constant bickering, but it was completely different with a person who goes...Berserk!
[color="#FF8C00"]"Yeah...about your hand...if you need me to tell what happended to your hand, then lend me your hand."[/color] S'ai calmly instructed towards Kisa. While taking a roll of bandages as well.

Kisa handed her hand to S'ai so he could change the bandages. She shook her head, when he offered to tell her what happened to her hand - Kisa already knew. "It's ok....I already know what happened." She said, "You know you have some amazing aim." She laughed a bit before looking around, now completely bored. Kisa knew that S'ai always felt uncomfortable whenever she changed, even when they were in controled environments. The fact that anything could happen in an uncontroled environment must had him worrying sick.

"Oh, by the way sorry about falling on you before Lance. I really didn't mean it."

[color="#FF8C00"]"You remember? Good, then this will justified."[/color] S'ai said to Kisa's response. Taking out a packet of salt, S'ai quickly ripped it opened, poured it opened, and sqeezed Kisa's wound with force with the hand filled with salt. Reacting quickly, S'ai rolled the bandages in his hands around Kisa's wounded hand and tied it quickly. [color="#FF8C00"]"Not only was that for my own amusement, but salt will killy most of the bacteria that the knife had on it's knife and disinfect it. So keep preassure on it whenever you can, so the blood can properly clot. Hopefully, the salt will help with the clotting."[/color] S'ai instructed, wrapping the bandages around Kisa's hand and turned back to his seat. [color="#FF8C00"]"If you're talking about Lance, he's not with us. After seeing the number of the Undead, Lance went south, southwest to rigg some explosives that will cover our retreat. He'll regroup with us later, so you don't have to worry. But if you're going to apologize, then use the radio, he's on frequence 45.88."[/color] S'ai said, and turned his full attention staring through the front windor.

Rex was still manning the turret bored out of his mind because they safely got away from the zombies and that damned based. He finally had enough and dropped down and looked at Kisa to make sure she didn't look like a berserk animal, " Hey! There's the Kisa I know and not the one who had an urge to kill me." He picked up the beer pack still cold and frosty just the way Rex liked it and took out three beers, one for himself, S'ai and Xingba. He handed one to S'ai and tossed the other to Xingba, " Damn, I just realized that there was a lot of beer back at that S***hole we called base." He laughed and smacked S'ai on the back, then remembering that the driver was a complete a**hole to S'ai he answered his question, " Wolf is the serious guy right there he kinda reminds me of a white you, Hahaha!" Then he continued drinking his nice cold beer.

[color="#FF8C00"]"For an alcoholic, I'm suprised that you haven't endangered any of us yet..."[/color] S'ai muttered under his breath, although he purposely made it loud and clear as well, trying to taunt Rex. However, after seeing Rex toss another beer towards an empty seat, all S'ai could do was just simply look at him and the empty seath and say [color="#FF8C00"]"I rest my case...but you DO realize no one's there right? But I'm going to assume that was for Xingba wasn't it...?? Or are you just hammered?"[/color] S'ai asked rhetorically, well catching his drink and popped the cap off. [color="#FF8C00"]"Xingba already took the other HUMVEE with the wounded and supplies, while Lance is covering our trail."[/color] S'ai pointed out and took a giant chug from the cold bottle. But made an ugly face. Which was his way of objecting alcohol in his system of course. However, seeing how he'd nearly died, S'ai just took another guzzle, this time, having a hard time swallowing the shot.

Looking at Wolf, S'ai just eyed him, trying to make sure if it was him. But turned his attention towards Rex and bluttered out [color="#FF8C00"]"Can I have another one?...hic..."[/color]

Rex just laughed at S'ai's insult then, he looked at the empty seat, " Huh could have sworn that Xingba was right there.." He took another gulp and finished the whole can but before throwing it out the window he saw a zombie eating a corpse of a coyote," Look at this B****, don't run him over, look at him swallow that coyote arm! Hey fat ass share some for your ugly ass friends!" Once they were passing the zombie Rex threw the can at the zombie's face, and starting laughing as always. He stopped laughing and looked at S'ai who made an odd face drinking the cold beer, " This too strong for you Chieftain?" He smiled and patted him on the back. He was quite alarmed once S'ai asked for another beer, " Oh come on don't tell me your getting tipsy! This isn't even that strong..." He grabbed the beer that he tossed to Invisible Xingba, and handed it to S'ai while taking out one more from the 6 pack which now was a single beer. He smacked his beer can with S'ai's can, " To many years of zombie ass kicking and many years of drunken soldiers!"

Kisa looked around the HUMVEE suddenly realizing that neither Lance nor Xingba was there...How did she miss that? As soon as the salt touched her hand a loud piercing scream filled the HUMVEE. "O-owie!! You bastared you didn't have to be so cruel!" She sniffled trying not to cry yet tears still rolled down her face anyway. As soon as S'ai released her hand she pushed herself into the furthest seat holding her hand and glaring at S'ai. "It's not like I ment to try and kill Rem. When he threw the gun at me I assumed it was an attack." Kisa mumbled to herslef still rubbing her hand. However, Kisa instantly became more interested in the can that was tossed into the extra seat next to her.

She picked it up and looked at it for a while, before going pale in the face; it was beer. Kisa and beer - or any sort of alcohol - didn't mix well. Last time she got dunk she went into a rampaging, drunk killing spree. She quickly placed the can back in the seat and was determined to never look at it. However, almost as soon as she put it down Rex grabbed it and handed it to S'ai.

Rex chugged about half of the can and then over heard Kisa, " Hey no harm done there, you were just trying to defend your self is all." He looked down at his half empty beer can, [i] Maybe I should save some I am running out..[/i]. Then after thinking about such a remark he laughed and drank the whole can once again, he threw it out the window once more, and still he was sober. He grumbled to himself and picked up the beer can, but before opening it he looked at Kisa who was starring at the beer can intensely, he tossed the can to Kisa with a warm smile, " Hey it's alright go ahead, you've had a rough day. And it's not even that strong, chieftain here just isn't quite fond of the taste of alcohol " He signaled Kisa to open and have a sip. He winked at her informing her it was alright to have a reward for having a rough day.

Kisa blushed at being spotted but quickly shook her head declining the offer. "N-no thats alright. I really shouldn't." She looked down twidling with her thumbs, "I can't handle alcohol at all, and the one time I did have some it didn't turn out good for the people around me at all" Kisa sighed slightly when Rex still handed her the beer can enticing her to open it. Finally after minutes of debating she opened it and took a small sip. The taste was terrible, and frankly she couldn't understand why Rex enjoied these things at all.

Her face was turned in disgust as she held out the can intending to give it back to Rex, "Here you can have it back. It taste awful!" When she no longer had the beer can she leaned back, then suddenly she started smelling something very putrid. She was wondering where it was coming from since she hadn't smelled it before - or maybe she just hadn't noticed it before or something. Kisa looked around then finally resting on herself. It was her that was smelling and the reason was all of the infected people's blood that was on her clothes and legs. Kisa hoped she didn't have any open wounds for the blood to get into - she made sure to keep her somehow still clean injured hand away from the blood. That would mean she would have to clean her ballistic knives before using them again.

Kisa's hand covered her mouth slightly, "I think I'm gonna be sick..."

[color="#FF8C00"]"Hahahaha!!!"[/color] S'ai laughed out stupidly from Rex and Kisa's remarks. At this point, it was pretty clear that he was drunk...only on 2 cans of alcohol. [color="#FF8C00"]"Man you guys are funny...*HIC*...!!"[/color] S'ai shouted out in stupidity, and threw his can at the some zombie that was eating the coyote's arm. However, after realizing it was a "COYOTE," immediately forcing himself to get sobor. [color="#FF8C00"]"Stop the jeep!"[/color] S'ai shouted towards the driver.
Shocked at the sudden outburst, the driver stopped obediently. Allowing S’ai to stumble inside the HUMVEE and force himself to get out.
Running towards the zombie eating the coyote corpse, S’ai stopped halfway when he wittiness in horror the unfortunate dog being eaten. In awe, S’ai quickly ran up to the zombie, kicked it in the hand to get it off the corpse and looked down at the corpse. Not being able to believe what he’d just seen.

Slowly but surely, the zombie got back up and went back to maul on the corpse. Completely ignoring S’ai. In rage, S’ai grabbed the zombie by it’s collar bone and punched straight in the jaw with all of his might. Confidante that he shattered the jaw. But seeing how punching it wasn’t going to do any good, S’ai helped the zombie back up and began to punch it some in the chest and stomach with hand, while the other hand was to support the zombie from falling over. Grief-stricken, S’ai kicked the inside leg of the zombie, forcing it get on it’s knees, and pulled out his .44 Magnum.

[color="#FF8C00"]“I’m sorry we had to meet this way…”[/color] S’ai cursed himself towards the zombie, put the muzzle to the zombie’ temple, and pulled the trigger. Walking over to the corpse, S’ai kneel down and examined the coyote’s body. Seeing how it was pointless to do anything for it, S’ai reached into his pocket and pulled a cigarette. Lighting it with a match he’d also had with him and began praying in his native tongue.

Tearing a part of the cigarette, S’ai began to sprinkle the corpse with the little leaflets of the cigarette and walked away. Walking back towards the HUMVEE with the cigarette in his mouth and began smoking the rest of it…

Rex took back the can and shrugged, " Eh suit yourself.." All of sudden S'ai shouted at the driver to stop suddenly, and since Rex didn't have a seat belt he slid over and hit his head against the Humvee, he stood up straight and rubbed his head, " What the hell man!" Rex was about to hit S'ai but then realizing that S'ai had gotten out of the Humvee some how. Rex looked out the window and saw S'ai beating the crap out of the zombie, " What the F*** is he doing it's just a zombie eating a coyo-" Rex then realizing something he paused his remark, [i] Oh right coyotes are suppose to be sacred to the Native Americans.[i] He got out of the car right as S'ai shot the zombie in the face with a magnum which triggered Rex's instincts to flinch up and hit his head against the roof of the Humvee. Rubbing his head he saw S'ai walk back to the Humvee and go against it, Rex drank the unfinished beer that was meant for Kisa. " Hey Chieftain, he's with the uhhh Spirits now.. Come on were wasting time." Rex patted S'ai on the back and entered the Humvee.

[color="#FF8C00"]"Hmmm...Let's just get going..."[/color] S'ai replied grimly to Rex's response and jumped back in the HUMVEE. Resting his head against the back of the seat, S'ai just closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep. Trying to over come the images of Kijuju from head for a while, S'ai was horribly reminded when he'd seen the undead at the base. For one, it was bad enough he had PTSD. But it was another when seeing one man eat another man alive.
[color="#FF8C00"]"Let's just regroup...and Wolf...I'll breif you on what we know so far...me and the XTC..."[/color] S'ai murmered in his sleep.

[Mecha Love]

Lupa finally caught sight of the other group of soldiers. He revved the humvee and drove up next to their own transport.
"Get off your lazy butts and drive! Beta and Delta squads are not gonna save themselves. At this rate they'll be dead when we finally get there. So Shutup, stop drinking, and drive! There's a small bunker 22 clicks from here. I'm one of the few who know of it. Desperate times call for desperate measures."
He looked at them disappointedly.
"If possible, could one of you SOBER ones drive. I really don't need this!"
Sighing, lupa drove west, towards the secret bunker.

Kisa opted to remain quiet during the entire episode. She really didn't know what to say. She wasn't an expert or religions, or cultures or anything, but she was aware of the importance of the Coyote to Native Americans. So instead she didn't say a word in respect to what just happened, closed her eyes and then said a short prayer. When she opened them again S'ai and Rex were back in the HUMVEE and S'ai had closed his own eyes preparing to sleep. While thinking about the Coyote, she wondered if whatever this virus was, was able to infect other things besides people. Could they infect animals as well? If so there may be more dangerous things out in this desert than just the dead humans. You can out run the humans, as most of them simply dragged their bodieds across the floor, and maybe a swift jog...But animals were much faster. It would be harder to out run them, or shoot them. Kisa shook her head and dissmissed the thought. If that did happen they would handle it when it comes.

"Ok, I am really bored now." She sighed drawing circles on the seat next to her.

Before really drifting off the sleep, and hearing the rant of Wolf, S'ai just crused him (and those who'd decided to listen) quietly [color="#FF8C00"]"Hehe, obviously comming from a guy who didn't see what was going on...Much less participated with his men and ran away before telling everyone to retreat...eh, Rex...Kisa...?"[/color] Leaning his head against the window, S'ai wanted to simply sleep. Seeing people die was one thing, but it was just blasphemy to him. Then to see the coyote being eaten as well was also another. [color="#FF8C00"][font="Century Gothic"]"If you guys didn't know, the coyote represents a "trickster" by the Navajo. They blame most of their problems on the coyote being a trickster, but respect him for his reputation..."[/font][/color] S'ai murmed in his native tounge, with his eye closes and simply blocked out the outside world...

When he opened his eyes, S'ai was a little relived to know that the HUMVEE has stopped. Getting out, S'ai turned to Rex and Kisa, and asked [color="#FF8C00"]"How long was I out?"[/color]

Rex looked at Wolf, " Hey! Even though I had a couple I ain't drunk.. But I would still be a pretty good driver." He smiled at Wolf and patted him on the back. He sat back and heard S'ai's quiet remark, " You got that right brother." He laughed and stopped quickly because this day was exhausting and Rex's eyes were very droopy. He looked out the front window and saw nothing but desert and it was going to be like that for quite a while, " Hey Wolf.. I hope there's some nice cold ones when we get over there. " He laughed once more but with even less enthusiasm. He yawned and slammed his head against the window and passed out. He then had a dream of him riding a sled led by coyotes in the sky to a world filled with beer and more beer. Then he saw a relaxed S'ai diving down a waterfall that wasn't water but beer. In the real world his expression changed to a smile. Then the dream stopped when Rex hit his head on the driver's seat. He woke up and rubbed his head, " Oh sh** we're here already?"

He got out of the Humvee and stepped outside. The sun was almost down and then the cold air of the Nevada Desert struck against his face, " Damn it's pretty chilly." Then he looked at S'ai who stumbled out of the Humvee still tired, " I don't know man I was out too." He walked inside the bunker walked around the whole area and saw it only had three rooms and a storage unit, A kitchen that was also meant to be the cafeteria and a living room because it had a couch and a radio, a room with two bunk beds and a small hole that acted as a light, and a bathroom with a toilet a shower and a sink. The storage unit had a couple of sleeping bags and dusty blankets and pillows. "Damn, this is a small bunker, eh whatever... Now where's that beer?" Rex commented and asked to himself. He ran to the fridge and saw that there were beers but they weren't very cold. In fact, when he drank one he spat it out and cursed, " What the F*** is this? It's too damn warm, like what those British people drink bleh." He threw away the warm beer and shook his head in disbelief. Warm beer is the one thing that get's him grumpy.

[Mecha Love]

Lupa chucked some ice cold beer to Rex. Then looked at the crowded troops. He pointed at the wall.
"There is a hidden door here. It leads to another bunker. Then there is another. 3 bunkers, split yourself evenly among them, its a tad cramped. Oh and S'ai, we retreated because we had no choice. However, as soon as we get out this base, nowhere is safe. We will be fighting maybe every hour of the day. There'll be plenty of fighting to be done then." He raised his voice. "We stay two days, no more. Maybe less if we are extremely unlucky!"
He walked over to the wall and pushed a hidden circular button. The wall creaked and rolled into the rest of the wall. He walked on into the middle bunker, where he would sleep. There was a table with a laptop.
"HQ Nevada come in. This is Wolf, Omega Elite mkI. Requesting immediate communications."
A strangled cry came from inside. The screen showed the HQ, bodies and guns everywhere. Zombies eating the dead corpses. Then a zombie walked up to the screen and spoke in strangled English.
"WE ARE COMING FOR YOU!"

After hearing what the Zombie gurggled out - they can talk now! - Kisa let out a scream. It probably lasted for about a minute or two before she stopped and caught her breath. Kisa then shot a grin at the others in the HUMVEE. "Sorry about that, but I felt that this moment required a shrill scream. You know like in the movies. In fact this really is like some kind of movie or game." Kisa said completely rambling now. "By the way do you think we could possibly find some place with a bath or shower? I really don't want to be walking around smelling like the undead."

[Sorrow.]

Rex smiled and caught the beer that Wolf threw to him, he started drinking it but then as he heard the zombie say real words he spat it out and looked at Wolf, " What the f*** did he just say?!" He shook his head in disbelief and looked at Kisa who desperately needed a shower, " There's a shower in our bathroom, go ahead and use it." He looked at S'ai, " I guess you and your squad are going to stay in my crib, I'll sleep on the couch." He started drinking the rest of his beer, he went inside and took the nasty warm beer and placed it outside to cool in the cold Nevada air. " There that should do it," Rex smiled at his smart attempt to make the beer cold and nice.

[Dwarven King]

The commander stared in utter shock as the base went up in flames. There was no way anyone escaped. Meaning the five men around him, and himself, were the only ones lef out of his squad. After a few more seconds of shock, he regained his senses. He turned on his com link onto a secret channel.

"HQ. This is Commander Sand Sweeper. We have a problem."

"Debrief quickly commander."

"We hit the base just as they were dealing with some undead, hoping to go unnoticed. Instead, they had the whole place rigged. All of my men are dead except five."

"Please hold. Receiving new orders."

The commander sat there waiting. Then the com link came back on.

"Continue following your target. Show extreme caution and take them out when possible. Help will arrive in 24 hours."

"Understood."

The soldier continued to limp away from the destroyed base. He was chasing the two people he saw when another explosion went off. It took out the wounded man with him. So he was left to find a way out by himself, which he did just in time. But now he was injured, tired, and had no way to communicate with his commander. He was now on his own.

[color="#FF8C00"]"Alright thanks man."[/color] S'ai nodded back in exhaustion. [color="#FF8C00"]"Right now, I don't know where Xingba is at, and Lance should be back from the mission I gave before we retreated from the base."[/color]

Going back outside, S'ai radio Lance to see where he was it:
[color="#FF8C00"]"[i]Desert [/i]to [i]Enemy[/i], [i]Desert [/i]to [i]Enemy[/i], come in. Over"[/color]

[color="#0000FF"]"This is [i]Enemy[/i], what is it? Over."[/color]

[color="#FF8C00"]"Are you done with your mission? Over."[/color]

[color="#0000FF"]"Affirmative. Like you ordered, I exited the base before you guys were overrun through the west and snuck my way around the south side of the mountains. Planting the explosives for your retreat. Judging from what I seen, you guys were the last ones to retreat, so I'd detonated the explosives. Causing a huge dust-cloud that should deter the Undead and the mysterious Unit that attack from behind, about two days of rest. Right now, I'm heading my way towards your "Secret Bunker" using the tracking bug on your HUMVEE, so I should be there in 20 minutes. Over."[/color]

[color="#FF8C00"]"Roger [i]Enemy[/i]. Over."[/color]

After his transmission, Lance then began to call in Xingba as well:

[color="#FF8C00"]"Just need to know where you're at is all. Rex is letting us his bunker, so when you're done, contact Lance and tell him. I'll be heading to bed now."[/color]
