Twig
Free Fantasy IC Thread OOC Thread The constant swaying of the ship had started to make Toto sick. Maybe taking a ride on a ship was a bad idea. This is his first ship ride ever, and he wasn't enjoying it. Before he got on, it seemed amazing that you can cut through the seas and get to where you want. Now, he'd rather take the long route on land. Suddenly, the right side of the boat crashed into something, sending Toto in his metal armor crashing down with a rather loud clang. Uh oh. Toto immediately got up to the side of the boat, raised his helmet's visor, and threw up a liquid mush of the mango he had eaten earlier. "It's ok folks!" an old man with beard and a tricorne hat. "The ship is fine! There are some damages, but it will keep sailing. Unfortunately...we have limited time to sail until we start sinking. Thank you and have a nice day!" Toto's eyes widened. You can't be serious. Worst idea ever. I guess I'll have to improvise. Now maybe if I can find some sea animal for Oto and me to ride. Where's a whale when you need one? Toto looked out to the sea, hoping that in some miracle, an animal will come to rescue them. Nearby, dolphins were jumping over the surface of the sea. Oto can't ride dolphins. A killer whale followed the dolphins, ready to have its lunch. Well, that's still not enough to carry a big turtle like Oto. Toto was beginning to give up until he saw what looked like a very small island, except it wasn't an island. It was too shiny and smooth to be an island. It looked like...a turtle shell. Jackpot. He ran to the stupid captain who had made the ship ran into an iceberg. "Go near the island over there or prepare to face my wrath!" Toto exclaimed. The captain turned around to see a little guy covered in armor holding a small sword. He couldn't help but burst out with laughter. "Hahaha! I'm not taking a detour for a puny child." That was all he needed to say to get tackled by Toto. The captain tripped and fell on his back. He started to get up, but he immediately stopped when he saw the sharp point of the sword an inch from his chest. "You're going to that island, right?" Toto said. Aesirson
In a fisher village Aaranzis, disguised as his human alter ego Aran, sat in a tavern, taking a drink and telling "unbelievable" stories to the young people who bothered to listen. "And that is why there are no dwarves in the island nation of Iyako." He finished his story, took another sip from his beer and looked at the few kids who were listening. "And you expect us to believe the dwarves ran away because the Tengus stole their clothes?" "Yup." "That's it, I'm leaving!" The biggest of the kid left, and the others followed him. Aran chuckled and then went back to his beer. It was not long since he had arrived at this town, but he liked it here. Maybe he would settle here for the rest of his life? No, he still had around five-hundred years left to live, the people would grow suspiscious, and with suspicion comes crazy whale hunters.
Christian Exodia
A tall teenager's long white hair, almost a mane, flew out of the tree window as he set his hand, cuffed by what looks like... Actual fur. His father called him for training, by his name, Lucifer. He was a tall 14 year old with long white hair, white cuffs of natural fur on his wrists and ankles, as well as a large tuft of Chest fur, which disables him from wearing gloves, shirts, or shoes. He held his long practice katana, fashioned from wood hollowed out of the Elephant Redwood he now lives in. As he jumps out, he does an air kick into just air, showing some of his skill. He is able to drive it into the ground, at a 35 degree angle and stay perfectly balanced on his hands and body suspended in air.
Master Red
It was nightfall, or in Rhett's case, day break and time to get up. He rose from the bed he had been sleeping in at the cheap inn and got himself dressed. The room was stuffy and had an odd smell to it, and he guessed that it was cold if you didn't have a set body temperature of 34,5 degrees celsius. He was never cold or hot, he just was, a perk of being physically dead. He was wearing gray riding pants along with a murky brown hooded tunic and black riding boots. The scarf and gloves could stay in the bag for now as he wouldn't need to shield his face from the sun now. He put on his weapons, just in case, and then stepped out from his roof and walked down to the dining section of the inn. It wasn't too crowded, which probably was expected as it wasn't really a good inn to begin with but there were a group of people there at least, and the people working there of course. He would have to feed tonight again, to keep himself from getting abnormally pale and thus standing out, making it more obvious that he was a Lamia. Finding someone would be a bit tricky here though, the crowd was too small for someone to disappear without anyone really taking notice, he had to move somewhere else. He nodded courteously to one of the Maids as he made his way out from the shabby harbour inn and walked out on the streets. He might run into a drunk somewhere if he was lucky. StealthyTyranitar
Luke woke up, only to see darkness. Not that he expected to see light, anyway. The night raid was planned to be at night. He walked of his web, and messenged all of the other Rontages. Some complained and groaned, while others were already battle clad, axes and all. "Alright, meet at the central web system for our plan." Luke put on his armor, and equpped himself with his Ashwood Bow, tipped with the strongest poison that he had ever made. Not that they would need it. it was just a precaution. He went to the web, and found his guard there. "Alright troops, let's go!" The group stole through the forest, and eventually arrived at the edge of a large castle. As the raiding party silently walked to a small hotel/inn, a light turned on. Luke quickly fired an arrow into a crack in the window of the house, and the sound of a body hitting the sound was heard. The group quickly sneaked into the inn, and killed everyone inside. They loaded the carcasses onto their backs and fled towards the forest. As the group arrived back home, after placing their kill in the pile, an alarm sounded, and lights flashed. "Dang." Twig
It's been an hour since Toto and Oto jumped off the ship onto their new friend. Sho, the giant sea turtle they were riding, was wary over letting these strangers ride him, but a quick talk from Oto calmed him. Toto was looking at a map of Eldermane. If they followed it correctly, they would be at the shores a mile away from Falavor, the capital city of Eldermane. The reason he was going there was because he gained the interest of Leodon, the current elven king. Maybe he'll ask me to be his guard. Well, that's a huge honor, but that wouldn't be fun... As he wondered of why he was called, Sho slowed down. Toto turned to finally see land. He also saw something else: a blinking light. "Well what could that be?"
StealthyTyranitar
Luke, warry of what might happen next, set up archers almost in every tree, facing the city. They were about 30 feet in, and were waiting for orders to fire. A small elven child walked in, and just before he remembered he could use mind pop strung his bow. Luckily, no-one else fired, and he used mind pop, making the child unconcious. He told one of the fastest runners in the squad, Fleetwood, to carry the child to the village and come back quickly. A few minutes later, he returned, and took his stance back up. Luke didn't like this one bit. He strung a new arrow on his bow, though his vision was getting blurry, and he felt exausted, realising he had used two spells that night. He stayed awake though, and was prepared to fight. He had told the civilians to be ready to fight, though they shouldn't have to. Also, behind the archers, were other army soldiers, waiting for the enemy. Luke's fangs dripped with blood, his boody glowing in the moonlight. His armor, also glowed. He was a magnificent sight, to say the least. He felt younger than he ever had. He had a glint in his eye as he remembered the last tournament he won. He was ready to fight.
radio414
Being a Brood Mother did have its benefits. Sure, each one had a small yearning to be a Queen, but there were pros to being one social class lower. The biggest one was movement. Even slow movement was, in Illith's opinion, better than no movement at all. Sometimes, Illith envied her Drones, able to traverse across the landscape quickly. Then she realized the big con of being a Drone: A lack of sentience. Only being able to move because some other being tells you to had to be completely monotonous. Of course, they wouldn't know that. They cannot think. Even only indirectly influencing something like a Queen does would be odd. That's all Queens did, anyway. Whispering to Brood Mothers, not even able to control them. Illith was currently near a city. She couldn't tell what city it was, but it was pretty bustling, according to her Drones. Given the flowing substance at one end of the city, it was almost certainly a waterside city. But you never could really tell. They might be in the middle of a desert, if there was looser sand on one side of the city. It could be either, really, Illith didn't really care. She hadn't visited either, and was intrigued by the difference of culture between normal society and one located in a specific place.
Headmaster Monokuma
Dane was wandering in the wilderness outside of Falavor looking for any mushrooms he may be lucky enough to find. He was running low on food to heal himself with, and he didn't want to risk angering any Elves by killing any animals for food. It's times like this I wish I had found a room in Falavor. Now I'm stuck in some silly cave trying to fend off any Zombies that come knocking at my door. As Dane picked a few mushrooms, there were a few loud clanking sounds behind him. He quickly turned and came face to face with a two skeletal archers. I do not need this right now. My injuries are already bad enough. Dane quickly dove to the left to avoid two shots from the archers. As the archers rearranged themselves to get a better angle, Dane drew his sword and dove for the archer closer to him. Thank Notch these things aren't smart. The first archer fell with two strikes, and the second had jumped on top of a tree. Dane had already taken three arrow hits, so he dove under the tree the second skeleton was on. As he stood there, the archer had moved on top of another tree and started firing at Dane. Out of three arrows it launched, two hit Dane. Notch. Help me. Dane charged. Now wasn't the time for caution. He jumped up into the air and placed four wooden plank underneath him, allowing him to slash at the skeleton's legs. It was down... And he was injured badly. I'm... Too rusty. Damn, this is bad.
Christian Exodia
Lucifer held his katana, and then his real sword. "Pretty realistic, huh?" He said in a gruff tone, genetic from his mother, a Mason who travelled, common of them at times. He held his katana and drove it into the stump of a Redwood, which then split, as a hole opened. He took the Key Katana out, and as he jumps into the hole, the stump closes. He then puts his katana up a hole which pulls it up for the next day. Then he holds his real sword, and puts the sheath on his back. He pulls out his sword, and as he climbs out, pushes the sword into another holr. A click is heard, and he exits, and the hole covers itself back up.
Master Red
The streets were not very bustling today, err... tonight, probably as most were being home enjoying their dinner. Food.. Rhett missed that, he could barely remember what anything tasted like any more, maybe it was for the better if he forgot what food tasted like completely maybe he wouldn't miss it as much? The city of Mithwendor, was made mostly out of stone houses as it got quite hot during the days here in the south and the stone warmed up the houses gradually during the day to then cool off quite quickly when night settled, leaving them with a pleasant temperature at all hours. He had traveled around here in the south for years now as it was where he and Merril had originally planned on settling. "Merril" he mumbled, becoming saddened by the memory of his one and only love. She had been killed so brutally by those inquisitor priestesses nearly eight years ago, slashed to pieces. He had blamed himself for her death for a long time, but he was getting over it now. There had been nothing that he could do and if he had died as well, Merril and (he supposed) her mother, would have died in vain. He'd stay alive for as long as possible, anything else would be a slap in Merril's face. "I wonder, if she's waiting for me?" he mumbled to himself, looking up at the starry skies. After wandering through the shady streets for a while he had managed to make his way to the middle class regions, an inn here was bound to be bustling with activity at this hour, perfect for hunting in other words. GreyCat
So many interesting smells filled the air above the houses. Jyran closed his eyes and tilted his head back, drinking them in. He could smell humans and animals, plants and the rocks that made up the homes. And food. He curled his tail happily as he perched on the rooftop, ears flicking pleasantly. Couking was still a mystery to him. Why would anyone want to burn the flesh of their prey after draining all the blood from it? It made no sense to him. Prey was best in it's natural form; unaltered flesh juicy and sweet, preferably still warm from life. But he had to admit, some of that couking did taste nice. From the streets below, he scented horses and pigs. His mouth watered a bit, but he had learned that most races, especially humans and dwarfs, disliked it when you killed their animals. He still though it was a waste to have perfectly good meat lying around for no other reason than to facilitate their laziness. They were Foire alright. He was about to find a place to sleep when he caught another strange scent. It was like human, but different. Odd. He rose and scampered silently over the roofs, following the scent. Twig
There were pros and cons over choosing a giant turtle as your pet. One thing they're giant Furtos turtles are good for are their almost indestructible shell that can act as a giant moving shield. The bad thing is that they don't move very fast. Giant Furtos turtles are faster than a normal turtle, but they were still slow. It took them almost forty minutes to finally make it the outskirts of Falavor. At least they knew the shortcut. They would've needed to go through the forest if they took the regular route. Falavor looked very fancy to Toto, for a person who spent his life inside a forest for fourteen years. "I don't know why the Furtos don't go out here to see all of this," Toto said, looking at the amazing architecture. "Isn't that right Oto?" Oto just grumbled, acting as if he doesn't care. "Come on. The castle is up that hill." As they walked, they passed a building surrounded by guards. The words INN were engraved into the top of the building. "Guards for inns? Well like the humans said to us Furtos, 'Kerulia is full of interesting things.'" Toto and Oto continued up the hill, heading towards the grand castle. radio414
Water. One of her drones just stepped in what was most definitely water. It was a liquid, and it felt like water in general. It was not sand, as Illith had first hypothesized. Water. To know that there was a coast here was valuble information. Interacting with others could wait. If there was a drinkable liquid, and her brood was thirsty, then she would have them drink. Directing all of the Drones under her control to the coast, she had half of them drink, while the other half she had explore the coastline. When she felt that the first half had drunk their fill, she had the other half regroup for their turn, while the first group explored nearby, searching for landmarks to remember this place by. The nearby city was an obvious one, but Illith felt she needed something different. Something actually memorable. If Illith were near this place again, she could immediately know where she was. Salt water. The water had a salty taste to it. Nothing huge, but it proved that this city was near an ocean rather than a river or lake. Just something to remember. Illith didn't worry about her drones drinking salt water. She didn't know from experience, but she thought that Slia were past that point in terms of evolution. Being able to filter out the salt was just something Slia had developed.
CeDeFiA
Sophia was lying under a tree when she finally decided to wake up from her nap, 'How'd I get here?' she thought to herself. When she had first taken the nap, she could clearly remember lying down on a soft bed made from the leaves of the forest she had been living in for the past month. Not only did she awake in a different place from when started sleeping, it seemed as though her shoes were missing. Sophia never slept without her shoes on, for fear of something touching her feet while she was sleeping. Not only was she confused, she was also extremely hungry. 'I'll worry about my shoes later. I need to get something to eat first,' she thought to herself as she scouted the forest for something that looked the least bit edible. After an hour of looking, she found an apple tree. However, the apples on the particular tree were extremely high off the ground. Due to Sophia's condition, this, however, was no challenge. Sophia closed her eyes and screamed as loud as she could. While she was screaming, you could hear crunching noises coming from her back. Two tiny little red stubs were coming out of her back, and they continued to grow until they came out all the way, then they opened up. There standing was a beautiful woman with red wings. She gracefully flew up to the top of the tree, picked ten apples, and flew back down. "This should last me a few days," she said to herself as she began munching on one of her apples. Christian Exodia
Lucifer then got back out his Katana, for the journey. His second overall, first one set on meeting creatures from all around the world. Long sword at his back, he set off. Good thing about being half-Mason, He could survive for 10 days without food and water, compared to 3 for a Normal Human. Drawback is, he also moved a little slower. But he was fine. He plucked a sweet fruit in the forest, one he knew was fine. As he took a bite with his short snout-like mouth, his lips felt it pass inside his mouth. Content with the taste, he went deeper and deeper into the sweet-fruited Elephant Redwood Forest.
Twig
A servant of Leodon's castle led Toto to a room, which were occupied by several other knights. When they entered the room, a couple knights looked at tiny Toto in his tiny armor and chuckled. It wasn't loud, but Toto heard it for sure. Note to self: embarrass the people laughing at you by showing them your true skills. There was a podium at the front of the room, where an elf wearing a purple robe with badges all over it took his place. "Good evening everyone. I'm Gerald Novika, or as few of you know, the Minister of War for Eldermane. I'm sure all of you have heard the news that there was recently a massacre at an inn in Falavor." Well that's news to me. That's what I must have seen earlier... The Minister of War continued. "We believe it was the Rontage." Murmurs sprouted throughout the crowd. Toto, who still have yet to learn more about Kerulia, was confused. "Umm..." Toto announced. "What is the Rontage?" The knights who chuckled earlier burst in laughter. "What is a kid doing in here?" one of them shouted. "I'll have you know that-" "Enough!" Gerald interrupted Toto. "We don't have much time. You can save your bickering for later. Anyways, after much consideration, the Council of Ministers have agreed to wage war against the Rontage." The room was immediately silenced. Big Bad Pennar
School had started as a bunch of Teenagers sat down at their desks, many were elvish, a typical sight since the school was located near Eldermane, Fiera saw several humans enter the classroom as well, which was a strange sight to her, but nonetheless, The class started without a hitch, Fiera looked at her entire class, but before she could say anything, an older person walked into the room and whispered into Feira's ear, and she said to her class "I'm sorry, but it appears that i'm wanted for urgent matters, so i'll have to cancel this class for now". This was followed by groans by the teens in the class, Feira then walked out of her school. She wondered "What could the Elves want with me?"... GreyCat
Jyran believed he pinpointed the source of the new scent. At first glance, he looked like a normal human; weirdly furless except for the top of the head, awkward movements, the strange clothing again. But he lacked something. Jyran's ears flattened his his lips drew back in a soundless hiss when he realized what it was. Blood. He had no blood. He couldn't smell it in the scent, he couldn't hear the beating of a heart. If humans were foire, and lauos, but this one was downright jinria. Take about dropping from the lair. His curiosity even more aroused than it had been before, Jyran followed the man into the part of the city they called 'midul clas,' sleep forgotten in the face of his keen interest. He shifted to all fours and paced the man fro, the rooftops, a few meters behind him.
CeDeFiA
After much consideration, Sophia's laziness got the best of her. She sat down the remaining apples she had just picked. 'I think I've spent enough time in the forest,' she thought to herself as she looked for a way out. Hours passed by and no sign of an exit out of this, what seemed to be, endless forest; Sophia was getting tired of looking. BANG! "What was that?!" she exclaimed as she followed the sound of the bang. BANG! There it was again, however, this time it sounded closer; so she must have been headed in the correct direction. As she kept moving forward, the bangs seemed to get louder and louder. Once she thought she was at what seemed to be about a mile away from the noise, she started hearing talking. 'No, not talking... yelling, cheering, screams,' she corrected herself as she kept trudging forward through the forest. An exit had finally appeared from what seemed like hours of searching. The exit lead Sophia to a huge cliff, which was towering over something that set Sophia into a very anxious mood. War. Hundreds of thousands of people hacking away at each other, canons blasting off, guns blazing, everything Sophia enjoyed seeing. She didn't care what side was 'good' or 'bad', she just wanted in on this action. So, out of pure anxiety, Sophia sprouted her wings and flew into the midst of the battle. Master Red
After walking about for a while he came across the inn "The Half-Slayed Dragon" which seemed to be packed with people. This was one of those places where the rules were quite limited, people were dancing on the tables and glasses were crashed on the floor without anyone of the employees seeming to mind. They didn't seem to have any tolerance for violent behaviour though as they threw out a large man with a red beard that was in some kind of rage. The place would be perfect for finding food and as such Rhett decided to go inside. The place wasn't very large, but had two floors for the dining and drinking section to make up for the sparce amount of room. There were people almost everywhere, both men and women of various levels on the middle class ladder. The people inside seemed to be mostly human, with occasional dwarfs and elves, which was good. He could feed off of all of these, elves and dwarves were harder to manipulate though and they were often more of a hassle if they fought back. Rhett had always stuck to humans, they were the easiest pray, though he had heard that elven blood was supposed to be the most delicious blood there was to find. He was not keen to find out if it was true though, he'd rather have an easy meal. The inside of the bar was quite stuffy, mostly made out of wood and was colored in a warm cream color. The place had an odor of some kind of tobacco as well, he supposed it was a legal kind but you could never be too sure.
StealthyTyranitar
As Luke saw an army of Elves walking towards them, he gave the signal to release the arrows. Somewhere around 200 Arrows fired off. The elves had misjudged there enemy. The Rontages fired off one more volley of arrows, then charged. The massacare with the arrows had already slaughtared somwhere around somewhere around a fourth of there army. Then, Luke started feeling that sensation he had felt in his body last time he had fought. He remembered the bodies everywhere, then everything went into a blur. He started slashing and stabbing everywhere, going into a deadly tornado of fangs, poison tipped legs, and a battle axe. He felt swords bounce off of his armor, but he just kept on slaying. The elves numbers were thinning, and he calmed down. He went back into a tree, calling about 24 other people in with him. He started firing more of his arrows at the elves, and the others followed in suite. The arrows were wistling, pointed sticks of death. They plunged into eleves left and right. Big Bad Pennar
Fiera had entered the area of Eldermane, and did not know which city to go to. Suddenly, she had a headache, very likely caused by a mass influx of Sinner's souls entering Viemvear. She was technically a Magician, so heading to Magira would be her best bet, but it would possibly be the capital of Falavor. so she went east towards Falavor, and flew upward, carrying her scythe. she got a better view from the air. As she was flying, she saw some harsh battle going on, Elves were losing against a bunch of Spider-like creatures as night began to fall, she saw that being the cause of the soul influx into Viemvear, unlike most other Veinars, she desired peace rather than war, but she can't blame herself to get some piece of action... Magnet Soldier
"Falavor? Over.....thataway.....I think." "It's this way, I'm sure of it." "Thataway. Definately Thataway." "Nope. Believe me, I know my way around Eldermane." "If your sure." Kris sighed and tucked his book away back into it's pouch. It wasn't exactly interesting talking to a book - in fact, it felt damn embarrassing - but since his closest friend, if you could call it a friend, was the book, then he had no choice. He sighed again and flicked his horse around in the direction the book had said, incredibly sure it was the wrong way, before setting off again. If the book was right, well, he'd be able to see Falavor in the next half-hour....he presumed. He sighed as he forced the horse to gallop on towards what the book said was Falavor. When the horse had reached full speed, Kris decided it wasn't fast enough. He needed to see an Expert Sorceror, a true lead Warlock of the Council of Islanitaria Nu Calthiati nor ca li to thri ta. The Name no-one could ever pronounce. Anyway, Kris needed to see what exactly the Book was about. What it was for. Kris sighed and forced the Horse to go faster, trying to make it go faster than it physically could. "Hurry up, ya stupiud thing." Kris muttered, only to be replied by a sudden halt, causing him to catapult off of the horse, into a nearby puddle of what Kris hoped was Mud. Although it didn't smell like it. "I'm not a mere horse!" The Horse shouted, turning to run away. "I am Singathold the third, of the great line of Gratimia, The greatest steeds in existance. I was galloping as fast as I could!" Singathold declared, kicking lots of 'mud' into Kris' face, before galloping back the way they'd came. Kris groaned and stood up slowly, wiping the 'mud' off of his clothes. Somehow, the Book and the pouch it was in seemed unaffected by the 'mud'. "Just great. Now I've got to walk 20 miles." Kris muttered, deciding to get a head start right away. About twenty miles later, he could see smoke rising in the Distance. "Ahh, that must be Falavor." Kris murmered, thanking the book for being right. Then he realised what he'd seen. "Wait...what? Smoke? Oh Holy Lord in a nutshell!" Kris shouted, running towards the scene. It wasn't exactly far from Falavor, but it wasn't exactly close. And then he saw something else. It wasn't smoke. It was arrows. How could he tell? One had just missed his foot. "There's a war a foot. Now would be a terrible time to be cocky." Kris muttered, as he flicked out his book. He quickly jotted down a single word - Sword - and was, thankfully, rewarded with a Longsword. A normal Longsword. He smiled and slowly crept up on a small grove of trees in which he'd seen an arrow being fired, and prepared to attack.
Christian Exodia
Lucifer remembered last journey; and the extinction of the Exploding Phoenixes. What a sad day, he thought as he sat, leaned towards a tree, munching on his fruit. Knowing they wouldn't go bad for a while and regenerated in a day, he plucked a good few, placed them in his satchel, and walked out of the forest. He walked onto the plain, where wild Masons, the young that hadn't developed Human contact, grazed. These were peaceful animals, and they let him on his way. Walking into a town, he noticed the "Half-Slayed Dragon" not far away. He shrugged and walked in.
