Elves, dwarfs, giants, goblins, and many other mystical races live in the magical world of Kerulia, where triple rainbows are seen as long as you believe in them. The pixies and the fairies work hard to spread the wonder dust equally to keep things both balanced and magical, and so far, everything is ship shape. Flying whales, golden-shelled turtles, and dragons roam freely, and disputes among nations are put to rest at Kerulian Court. It's been ages since the last war, and many of the habitants of Kerulia think it's going to remain this way.

However, the Oracle of the North has predicted a rising darkness that was coming [i]soon[/i]. This confused people since the Oracle of the South had previously predicted another century of peace. They can't be both correct, and the oracles' predictions have always been somewhat true. The Kerulians started panicking when they heard of the mix up, and several began taking sides. Others remain neutral, saying that "you can't change the future. Might as well wait and find out."

Well...Whatever this rising darkness is, I'm sure there's a way to stop it.

I made this roleplay because I wanted to get back into roleplaying, so this is pretty much an experiment to get my feet wet. I didn't want any complicated plots or roleplays you'd have to really commit to, and Free Fantasy was my solution. It's called [b][u][i]Free[/i][/u][/b] Fantasy for a reason. This is a [u]free[/u] roleplay where you pretty much do anything as long as it follows rules and stuff.

Also, I wanted to see the roleplaying skills of YCM, and no offense, I'm not expecting anything great. If I feel like it, I might even try to give constructive criticism, since no one seems to do that here at all.

If you read the plot and the notes, you should get the point right now. YOU(yes you!) will be creating the world of Kerulia. Use your imagination. Flying cities full of bird people, a city full of mimes, a town made of trash, etc. You get to make up the creatures too. You want a half-gorilla half-bear? Sure! You want a penguin with a duck beak, a peacock's tail, and a neck as long as a giraffe? No. DON'T GO OVERBOARD. I'm allowing you to use your imagination to the fullest, but please please please please please don't make anything super silly. I don't want to go to a city made out of poop. If you want to make a complex animal, don't make it silly. Again, nothing silly. Besides that, it's all fun and games. [/spoiler]

Don't be the guy who wants to beat everyone else up. Really, if you give your character a ton of super powers and or weapons, you will be denied even before we roleplay. You don't need protection against everything, okay? Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Don't feel insecure if your character is weak. You're beautiful in your way cause God makes no mistakes. You're on the right track baby you were born this way.

Of course, there will no godmodding during roleplaying, right guys? ;D

I shouldn't even have to put this on this list. If you don't know how to follow this rules, please do get out.

[b]III. Meta-Gaming[/b]
Yeah. You can't know that there's a goblin invasion in Happy Rainbow City when you're in the other side of the world. Don't get overexcited. Your character should only know what they've encountered so far.

Again, I shouldn't have to say this. In fact, I should say five lines and more are recommended.

Anyway, the Application(In weird french-ish accent. Applicazion.)

Name/Gender/Age: Kristan Larga Imonia is a 18 year old Male. Okay?
Race: [s]An Ant, just walking around. Fits my life style[/s] Kristan is a Human. We think. Just kidding, he's Human. Or is he O.o. Just messing with you, he is really. (That's what you think.)
Appearance: Well, he be Human. Remember. He stands at roughly 6 foot tall, what seems to be the standard height from what he's seen. He's rather skinny and pale, regularly presumed to be ill and sick because of it. He has long brown hair that, at the back, is shoulder length and at the front covers the whole of the left side of his face. He has dark, intelligent green eyes that betray his true personality, and contrast with his extremely pale skin. Due to his Insomnia, he has huge black bags under his eyes, making him seem even more evil and Zombie/Vampire like, or just more ill. Depends on the viewers point of view really, dont it?
Bio: Will do later.
Personality: Kristan, for the most part, is a friendly and upbeat person, regularly having a smile on his face, and generally increasing to mood and feel of an entire room. He is a bright, intelligent man with his own way of doing things, and his own, independant view, and will regularly try to make his own decisions, totally uninfluenced by other people. Unless they are pretty women. He's kind of perverted in that sort of way. If a pretty girl walks past, he will fainted and then beg for marriage. Of course, he wants to find his soul mate and such, like every other person out there, but he doesn't mind about any 1 night stands along the way.
When Sad or Angry or something similar, he gets similarly OverDramatic. When Angry he will, almost literally, explode, shouting and punching and hitting people with magical giant flying turtle shells with flowers on them. When sad he is really dark and usually sits by himself, and usually makes the whole room feel cold and inhospitable. In the same thing, mainly due to his pale complexion; when embarrassed, he blushes a lot and cant really hide it.

Weapon: A Tome. AKA, a Book. A black, leather encased, book. Yes, that's right. My guy is going to be kicking ass with a book. But not just any book. An Evil book that encases the soul and power of the formor lord of all Magic, mage Lezaford, the man who created Sorcery. And the most Evil man to have ever exsted. AKA, watch out for da book. Also a Pen.
Magic/Power: Whatever Kristan writes into the book comes out of the book. But because the book has it's own personality, it can occasionally choose something entirely different.
Other: This may become a plot point for my character. Where he has to face the evil side of the book and conquer it to gain total mastery over it.

Name/Gender/Age: Lucifer Drakion/Male/14

Race: Part Human, part Polar Bear

Appearance: He has snow white hair on his head, cuffs of the white fur on his wrists & ankles. He has a normal nose, except is is black on the edges, and wet and sensitive. The rest of his head is human, except with Sharper teeth, and his mouth protrudes a small bit, a short snout. He has the Polar Bear's height with the age equivalent, about 6'0 even. His body is normal in most other ways, with a tuft of hair on his chest. He has a larger build, more like the Polar Bear, with long limbs good for running. He doesn't wear a shirt because his Chest Tuft is too sensitive, but he wears a Black Hakama with Flatfoot Japanese-esque shoes.

Bio: He was born out of the way a man saved his own life; mating with a bipedal Polar Bear. He was born looking like a Human for about the first Ten years, but soon after, he started to grow Polar Bear characteristics, and some instincts of them, even occasionally going on all fours. He kept learning how to fight, using Hand-to-Hand and with Weapons, showing some Promise with Two Spears at once, the Long Sword, especially, and the heavy sword, best built for him. Recently, he is still training to fight for his own life in case the war talked about actually happens.

Personality: He is a mellow and mild person the majority of the time. But sometimes his mother(The Polar Bear)'s side comes out and he goes mindless and a little ballistic, usually in the heat of battle. He is always on the ready, with a lot of Determination and Endurance. His fits of rage make him tired and lazy after use, leaving him vulnerable for a few minutes to an hour.


Weapon: A Long sword, 3 in. Wide, 8 in. Long.
Magic/Power: A Hidden Rage that unleashes at the right time.
Other: None.

Yush! I found someone who wants to start RPing again! I'd like to re-start my RPing career here. xD

Name/Gender/Age: Sophia Hawks/F/22

Race: Half dragon/half human.

Appearance: Sophia has straight, long blond hair that reaches down to her lower back. She's 5'8'' and weighs 130 lbs. She has a small, ovalish, face. Her eyes are a deep dark red color, her ears and nose are bit more pointy than the average human. She wears a blue colored leather armor at all times. She's has white colored skin, with what seems to be very, very tiny scale patterns all along her arms and legs.

Appearance in Full Dragon form: When Sophia transforms into a dragon, she becomes (this is standing on all four legs) 40' long, and 20' tall (not including wings). Her face becomes what seems to be the stereotypical dragon face, long nose/mouth, her eyes grow to be 4x their original size, and her ears are a lot more pointy than they originally were. Oh, and the dragon is a maroon color. OH, almost forgot. She sprouts wings in the middle of her back, each wing is 15' tall, 7' wide.


Bio: Sophia was born on March 1st, into a family of dragon tamers. Everyone born into the Hawks is 'assigned' a dragon that they'll tame when they're ready. If they fail, however, in taming the dragon, or in a rare case where the dragon dies, then tough luck. You can't get another. When she was a toddler (like five years old.. ish) she decided that she wanted to go out into the wilderness and find her assigned dragon. However, what she found wasn't exactly what she was looking for. After many days and nights of looking, she finally came across her assigned dragon. The dragon that was supposedly going to be with her for the rest of her life was about to die, for it had a grave disease and no cure for it. When Sophia and the dragon met up, she started bawling tears of selfishness. Crying out words of hate towards the dragon, for she wanted the dragon to be hers and since he was dying, she'd never be able to become a dragon tamer. Out of pity, the dragon decided he'd, in his last few breaths, give what remained of his power to Sophia. So now, instead of being a dragon tamer, Sophia became one with the dragons. Since that day when she was five, she'd come in and out of her town without notice, until one day when she left and never came back...

Personality: Sophia is a blood-thirsty woman-dragon-type-thing. She always enjoys battling other foes. Outside of battles, she's usually training, eating, or sleeping. She doesn't talk much with anyone, unless she needs to buy something or ask a question. She never converses just for fun. However, if you give her a gift, she'll feel that she has a debt to pay for you for the rest of your life, so she accepts no gifts; with that said, it's assumed she never gives gifts either. If anyone asks about her relatives, she completely ignores them, actually, if you mention anything to her, she'd most likely ignore you.

Magic/Power: Since she has the power of a dragon, she can temporarily transform parts of her body into a dragon. (Ex. sprouting wings, changes arms and legs into dragon arms and legs) she can also manipulate fire to her will. She can turn herself into a full dragon for a full three minutes; when she turns back into a human she suffers a terrible headache for a few days.

Other: She's afraid of thunderstorms, swimming, and losing in a battle.

Name/Gender/Age: Aaranzis/Male/461 Years
Race: Flying Whale
Appearance: A big effing whale. He has the size and looks of a normal blue whale, except that instead of fins he has two giant, feather wings. In his human form, he is rather short for a human, has a long, white ponytail and a long beard. He is usually clothed in rugged loincloth in this form.
Bio: Aaranzis is one of the few remaining flying whales, or "Skiaarten", as they are reffered to in the old, elvish tongue. He was born 461 years ago near the forests of Kenderall, previously home of two elven tribes, but the forest has since then disappeared due to the dwarves moving in. Aaranzis has spent most of his life roaming the world, learning about its multitude of cultures and people. He has never taken part in any conflicts, but he has seen many. During his older days, he has started to take on the form of an old human giving telling tales of times long lost in taverns and other places with many people.
Personality: Old and wise, Aaranzis loves people. Or at least good-hearted people. He is very witty and at times sarcastic. He takes great pride in what he is, and he doesn't take lightly on insults directed to his race. He usually wants to avoid conflicts at all cost, but if his friends are in need he will fight for them.

Weapon: Massive body
Magic/Power: Telepathic speaking, transformation and greater water and wind based magic
Other: He's a flying whale, and that's awesome.

@Magnet Soldier: =/ I'm iffy about that book. It seems overpowered, even with the mind of its own. Perhaps a limit to the magic? Maybe a limit to the amount of ink you have at a time? But then you could always as the book for extra pens... So yeah, can you think of any limits? Also, magical giant golden flying turtle shells with flowers seem silly to me.

Alright, I'm in.

Name/Gender/Age: DK/Male/254
Race: Eh, I'll go the easy road and be a simple Dwarf.

Appearance: Well lets see here, I'm a Dwarf, so naturally I'm short, but very muscular. I also have brown hair and a beard that reaches to my waist. I wear Dwarven armor at all times (unless I'm sleeping of course) and have a hard head. So naturally I tend to head butt people, lol. Not sure what else to add since most of us know what a Dwarf looks like.

Bio: DK is a trained warrior for the Dwarven army. Of course, there has been peace for like, ever. But still, Dwarfs like to fight, so they have always had a army ready. Now that everyone thinks a war is coming, the Dwarfs are sitting there laughing at those who don't even know how to throw a rock. DK is a veteran in the army, and very popular amongst the other Dwarfs. DK prefers to fight close and not use long distance weapons. However, he knows their effectiveness in battle.

Personality: DK is not a normal Dwarf lacking a short temper. Instead, he is calm. However, he DOES have a temper when you make him mad enough. When that happens, he's like any other Dwarf when in a rage, and it's best to avoid him at all cost. On top of that, he has a good eye for details and does his best not to miss a thing.

Weapon: Double Bladed Axe
Magic/Power: No power because I'm a serious, roleplaying Dwarf. >.>
Other: Eh.

The Furtos are small dog like creatures that walk on two feet. Their maximum height is three feet, and the tall ones are rare. They usually have pointed ears, but a few are born with floppy ears. Their nose is always stubby. The Furtos also come in a variety of colors, but nothing red, blue, purple, orange, and similar colors. They look like this, but imagine them with more fur.

The Furtos are peaceful creatures; they believe all life is sacred. They're all vegetarian and try to preserve nature. Animals in Furtos Woods have learned to trust the Furtos to the point that taming them is no longer needed.

They are a rare race and only live in the Furtos Woods, located in the western part of Kerulia, which still needs exploration. Centuries of isolation from other races has limited their knowledge of the world. Human explorers found them and showed them that there was much more life outside the woods. The Furtos, however, weren't interested. A few Furtos went to explore the world, but many remain in Furtos Woods, keeping their traditions.

For self-defense, Furtos usually have several pets with them. They're beast master and can tame pretty much every creature. They're also quick and agile.[/spoiler]

[b]Appearance:[/b] Toto is only two feet tall and has golden/blonde fur. His eyes are small and black, and his nose is also black. He usually wears a knight's armor(helmet, body, etc) that was specially crafted for him. It's light enough for him to easily move around, but it was also enchanted by a wizard to be strong enough to withstand steel projectiles like shurikens and kunais. The ponytail of his helmet is red, and the helmet also contains a visor that can be raised.

[b]Bio:[/b] Toto was born an orphan. His foster parents never knew let alone met his true parents. He was both angry and happy because of this. Angry because his parents gave him up. Happy because he was given to nice parents who care for him. Unfortunately, they were old too. When Toto was ten, his foster parents died. All he had left was their family pet, Oto, the giant turtle. For a while, friends of his foster parents took care of him, but now Toto takes care of himself.

After the humans discovered the Furtos race, a bunch of other races rushed to see them. While it somewhat annoyed the Furtos that people were trashing their forest, Toto became curious. He didn't want to be contained in a forest. He decided to venture out to the unknown, taking Oto with him. He first met an elven mage who thought he was a lone baby. Though Toto was first mad at him for being called a baby, the mage became his friend and guided him to the wonders of Kerulia.

The elven mage took him to an elf city, where he was laughed at for being short. Elves happened to be very tall creatures, so that made it worse. They weren't laughing when Toto showed them his fighting skills. He was quick, and surprisingly strong. He was immediately enlisted into the elven army and received the nickname "Little Surprise."

[b]Personality:[/b] Like all Furtos, he has a deep care for nature and animals. Also, he hates being called short, and goes into a rage when you mistake him for a baby. He also loves it when people underestimate him. It gives him the time to show off and prove them wrong. He is also very curious, which led him to leave Furtos Woods in the first place. Lastly, he likes riding Oto instead of walking.

And DK, I'll promise I wont make the book too scary, okay? Maybe just, 1 or 2 grenades. (Maybe I'll live up to my promise on Critical Failure, and make it grow legs.)

Also, the down side is, Without the book, Kristan is pretty much useless. He doesn't have any other weapons, and isn't really that good at any Martial arts or stuff(Though he does have a killer headlock.)

My character seems a bit to serious. So I thought, hell, why not summon an army of red ants and have have them crawl on people for laughs? But yeah, like Magnet said, the ants are a joke and will only be used sparingly when I get bored. :<

Well this roleplay isn't a joke. You're allowed to be silly once in a while, but come on...If you really need a magic power that you want to use as a joke, make some sense.

It's to add Comedic Effect. Roleplays get boring and die unless they have a bit of Humour. Believe me, the most successful Roleplays I've been always have atleast one character completely in it for the comedic effect, and have quite a bit of humour.
