Bakugan - Battle Brawlers Academy (Started/Accepting)

Hikari Kuso had no sooner stepped out of the Shining Brawlers dorm that he started hearing the joyous shouts of new students. "Well, Mantris," He said to the floating Mantris next to him. "New meat's here." The floating Mantris "nodded" and said, "Yes..." Its voice was somewhat cheerful, somewhat brightening. "It'll be good for the school to have some new brawlers." Hikari nodded, and said, "Maybe I should talk to dad about having a beginning-of-school duel with Clara's brother..." Mantris stretched its blade-like arms out and sighed. They then went off to the main Academy building.

[Auralady]

Clara Kazami laid in her bed with her long black hair framing her face. A dark bakugan jumped up onto her chest. “Clara get up. You’re going to be late if you don’t.”, it said in a clear male voice. Clara’s eyes fluttered open as she sat up making the bakugan float eye leval with her. “Leonidas? What time is i…oh man!”, Clara suddenly yelled leaping out of t he bed. She stumbled about the bedroom getting dressed. Normally she would have been up a lot earlier but she had stayed up late too focused on the next days battles. When Clara was finally dressed and ready to go she looked at her partner, “Coming Leonidas?” In response Leonidas took his typical place on her shoulder, “Yes I’m ready.” Clara nodded and walked out of the Dark Destroyer’s dorms into the main building. Then she leaned up against the wall and scanned the crowd of students. “See them anywhere Leonidas?”, she asked the darkus bakugan on her shoulder. “No but they are probly either battling or slept in like you did.”, Leonidas replied. Clara narrowed her eyes annoyed at her partner’s laughing tone, “Hush up will yeah?” Leonidas laughed again but Clara turned her attention back to the new students.

"[b]Come on! Let's go![/b]" said Darkus Lazer Hammer, floating off. "[b]Wait up man![/b]" said Vladimir Disark, trying to catch up to Lazer Hammer. Lazer Hammer always was an inpatient Bakugan, but he got used to it. "[b]So you know where the main building is?[/b]" he said, finally catching up to his Guardian Bakugan. "[b]Yes.[/b]" he said, turning around to me. "[b]Then why are we at the Haos dorm?[/b]" he asked, pointing at the building that was clearly the Haos dorm. "[b]Uhh...[/b]" he said, then he went into ball form, and he caught him. "[b]Now I think we should be following this school map that new students get when they enter the grounds, and not just running around![/b]" said Vladimir, picking up a crumpled map from his left pocket. Then, he put Lazer Hammer into his belt, where his Gate Cards, Ability Cards, and two other Bakugan were. Looking at it, it showed that the main building wasn't all that far. Memorizing the path to it, he put the map into his pocket, then ran off to see the main academy building. He had never gone to school before, so this certainly was a surprise. He wondered about how the classes would be, or how hard the homework was, or how good the lunches were. Ugh. Not knowing about stuff like that stunk. Pushing aside the thoughts, he continued to run.

Clara continued to look around but didn’t see and of the other’s anywhere. “Ugh!”, she shook her head trying to clear her thoughts. “Calm down Clara you know what your brother and Hikari are like after all.”, Leonidas told the girl trying to defuse some of the sudden tension…which was very unlike her. “I know you’re right Leonidas but I can’t help it right now. I hate not being with the others…it just feels…wrong.”, Clara said before taking a deep breath. All the same Clara knew that the bakugan was right like useual. She typically wasn’t like this, all full of anxity, but it was the first day. She not only had class with her father first thing in the morning but she wasn’t used to not being without one of her friends around. Giving up Clara decited to go searching for one of the others hoping she could find them. She pushed herself off of the wall and started walking around the main building keeping an eye out for any sign of the others.

Irene Hurst walked along the halls of the academy heading towards the library. The women had asked the librarian, Alice Kuso, to help with that days class. As the women walked a read and orange bakugan leaped up onto her shoulder. "So what's the plan for today Irene? You asked Alice for help today for a reason right?", the pryus bakugan asked in a clear female voice. Irene nodded, "Of course Monarus. They're going to be exploring their attribute and it's oposite." "So you asked Alice to help because darkus is the opposite of pyrus.", finished Monarus. Irene smiled, "Exactly." She walked into the library searching for Alice.

Axel walked through the grounds of the Battle Brawler’s Academy calmly with her Gaurdian Bakugan, Ventus Griffon, on his shoulder. His dark brown hair blown by the wind as he headed up towards the main building. “New students Axel and a lot of them. Maybe one of them will manage to put you in your place…..knock you down a few rungs on the ladder.”, Griffon said. “Hmph! We’ve only met a few opponents that can do that Griffon.”, replied Axel nonchalantly. “Like Hikari Kuso and Clara Kazami?”, Griffon ventured. Axel made a hard laughing sound in his throught, “Kazami and Kuso. Children of the great Bakugan Battle Brawlers and their Gaurdian Bakugan. They’re not not as great as everybody may think.” Griffon glanced at Axel and then fell silent, “Maybe…”

Maya looked around as she headed for the Bakugan Academy's main building, quickly noting the Haos Dorm she'll be spending most of her time at. "Relax, Maya." Haos Wavern said to Maya, resting on the boy looking girl's left shoulder. "I'm certain no-one will know you are a girl, if that is-" Wavern was interrupted by Maya, "I'm just excited to come here, that's all Wavern! And you should be excited as well; I promised you that we'll ask the Headmaster if he knows anything about you, remember?"

Wavern blanked out for a second, before remembering their conversation last night. "Yeah...I'm so glad you're trying to help he find out about who I am, amnesia sucks!" the two girls laughed, that was when they came to the main building. Maya then suddenly realized something, "Wavern, we don't know what we should be doing, do we?" the two of them shared an awkward silence, before Maya spotted Hikari Kuso. Maya walked up to Hikari and asked him a question, "Excuse me, but do you know where I'm meant to be at this moment?"

Hikari was walking through the hallways of the main academy building when a girl in a Shining Brawlers uniform walked up to him. "Excuse me," she said. "But do you know where I'm meant to be at this moment?" Hikari nodded, and said, "Well, considering term hasn't started yet," Haos Mantris rose out of his pocket and said: "Pretty much anywhere," Then, Mantris turned over to Hikari, whispered something to him, then turned back to Maya, and said, "[i]Except[/i] the fourth floor, right corridor. That's off limits to just about everyone." Hikari nodded, and said, "The only ones allowed there are the main staff and the Dorm Heads. Because for now, it's a Bakugan shop under construction..."

"Oh...Can I ask you another thing?" Maya looked over at her partner Haos Wavern , knowing that this is what she wants, and then back to Hikari, "Do you know if it's possible to talk with the Headmaster? My Guardian Bakugan has amnesia and we thought that maybe he would know something about her." Haos Wavern floated off Maya's shoulder and infront of Hikari, she then bowed her head in curtoisy, "My name is Haos Wavern, but that is all I can remember about myself..." Haos Wavern plopped herself back on Maya's shoulder.

Vladimir soon learned that term hadnt started yet. So, he just took to walking around the hallways and getting familiar with his suroundings. "[b][color="#800080"]So, Vladimir, I feel like kicking some Bakugan butt! Let's go find an opponent and brawl![/color][/b]" said Lazer Hammer. "[b]Oh Hammer, it's not that easy. Plus, I dont think we could win,[/b]" said Vladimir. "[b][color="#800080"]Nonesense! You would do just fine![/color][/b]" said Lazer Hammer. Vladimir just chuckled. His Wormquake and Mantris were in his belt, along with his Gate Cards and Ability cards. True, he had a stretegy in his cards and Bakugan, but he still didnt think he would win. Although, he guessed that he must have some skill. After all, he was at a brawling school. Sighing, he saw a couple of kids talking. One of them was one of the more popular kids at the school, Hikari Kuso. "[b][color="#800080"]Come on, lets go make friends![/color][/b]" said Lazer Hammer, floating out of his grasp to the group. Sighing, he ran after him and stopped in front of the group. "[b][color="#800080"]Hello there! I am Darkus Lazer Hammer. This is my partner, Vladimir,[/color][/b]" said Lazer Hammer, and Vladimir just looked at him. However, Lazer Hammer saw a strange sight: it was a Wavern next to a human girl.

"Hikari," Mantris said, leaping off Hikari's shoulder and floating in front of him. "Is... is there something... wrong?" Hikari sighed. "Well..." He shook his head. "I'm not sure if I can do it..." Mantris, slightly confused, then asked, "Do what?" Hikari answered, "Your mom." He laughed, and said, "Well, you know how I like Clara?" Mantris replied, "Dude," He chuckled somewhat. "[i]Everyone[/i] knows that you like her..." Hikari retorted with a grimace, "Not everyone..." Mantris then said, "Just ask her and get it over with." Hikari nodded, and said, "Alright." He went up to the door on Clara's dorm room and knocked. As the door opened, he asked, "Clara, would you like to go out with me sometime?"

After awhile Clara had circled around the main building a couple times. Board and not wanting to draw attention to herself, the girl headed back up to he darkus dorm. "Well that was a complete waste of time. Class doesn't start yet and nobody was there.", Clara said as she walked up the steps. "Hmm..you sure your more like Shun? Doesn't seem like it.", said Leonidas from her shoukder. "You've rubbed off on me Leonidas.", Clara replied simply. When they reached the top of the dorm Clara stopped. "Hikari? What are you doing here?", she asked.

Vladimir and Lazer Hammer had left the group as it had disbanded. Now what? He could always check out the Darkus dorm. Then he could find his room. He sighed. He really had nothing else, so he pulled out his school map from his pocket and looked at it. It showed that if he just went straight, he would be there. He also noticed how the dorms were allinged. Pyrus was closest to Ventus and Suterra, Aquos was closest to Darkus and Ventus, etc. Running, he soon found Hikari and some girl. Feeling that he shouldnt intervene, but he did need to get in, he quickly ran up the stairway, gave Hikari a thunb's up for good luck, and quickly went into the dorm. Closing the door behind them, he wondered how he should feel about that. Shrugging, he walked forward into the Darkus Destroyers Dorm, not knowing what to expect.

"Hikari? What are you doing here?" Said a voice. He looked behind him and saw Clara coming up the stairs. [i]Holy crap! [/i]Hikari thought.[i] Please tell me Clara didn't hear a thing... Please, God damn it! [/i]"Bloody 'ell... this isn't good..." He whispered to himself. "Too right you are," Mantris whispered to him. "Oh... Clara. Just the person I wanted to see..." Hikari said weakly, managing a simper. "Well, there's something I wanted to ask you...." He nervously hid his hands behind his back. "Hey!" Mantris shouted from inside his hands. "Lemme outta here!" "Well, Clara..." Hikari said weakly. "I was wondering... do you want to go out sometime?"

Clara was taken aback by Hikari’s question and was completely silent for a moment. She wasn’t sure what to say and Leonidas looked up at her briefly before looking back at Hikari and Mantris. Finally a smile spread on Clara’s face and she nodded. The young darkus brawler had finally come up with an idea. “Sure Hikari I’ll gladly go out with you some time.”, Clara smiled at him, “Well that is…I’ll go out with you some time if you agree to battle me and Leonidas.” She turned to the darkus bakugan on her shoulder, “Sound good to you Leonidas?”, she asked him. Leonidas nodded, “Sounds good to me Clara. I could use a real challenge.”

Hikari grinned, and, as he was about to say yes, Mantris shouted, "Hell yeah! It's been so long since he's had a battle.... Tigrerra, Drago, what d'you think?" A Tigrerra and a Dragonoid appeared on Hikari's shoulder. "Drago, Tig!" Hikari said. "I agree... It's been tedious." Tigrerra said. Drago nodded in agreement. "I've been itching for a good battle!" Hikari nodded. "It's settled. How about we battle tomorrow in the Bakugan Shop construction area? We probably won't be disturbed there." Hikari beamed. "This'll be a good battle..." He whispered, laughing silently to himself.

Clara returned Hikari's smile, "Allright sounds like a good place for a battle." "Clara you do realize how quickly our privet brawl could become a public show.", Leonidas spoke to Clara. The girl shrugged it off," Relax Leonidas who else is going to know? Sure mom and dad may figure things out eventually but who are they going to tell? It's not like they are going to announce it over the intercom or something." The darkus brawler looked at hte clock, "Man we better get going or dad's going to have a talk to us about being late later on." With that Clara grabbed Hikari's wrist and half dragged him into Shun's class. She took him to their typicall seats in the back......her attempt to avoid being called on by her father. Leonidas floated off of her shoulder and landed on top of the deskl.

"So," said Shun. "Where were we...?" He looked around the classroom for any hands. Then, his Bakugan, Skyress, popped up and said, "We were on page thirty-eight. Obstacles in battle." Shun nodded. "Yes... thank you, Skyress. So... Obstacles in battle... who can tell me about them?" Shun droned.


Back in Hikari's

"Boooorrrrriiiinnnggg..." Hikari whispered, making a funny face. "Clara... I can't believe we have to take these classes..." Hikari makes another face. "I mean, we got lectured on this [i]all the time[/i] when we were kids...! Seriously..." As Shun turned his back to write on the dry-erase board, Mantris made some weird motions at Hikari, and then, Hikari made a funny face. After a boring lecture on obstacles in battle, the bell finally rang. [i]RIIINNNGGG![/i] "Finally!" Hikari said, picking up his schoolbag. "It's break... I'm heading over to the library..." He said, heading out the door.

Maya breathed a sigh of reilef as class ended, packing her stuff into her bag and walking towards the classroom's exit. "Maya, now's our chance!" Haos Wavern popped out of her ball form and perched herself on the girl's sholder, "You could ask the teacher about me!" Maya then frowned and said, "But we don't even know if he has any knowledge of you Haos Wavern..." her Guardian flapped her wing and said, "Minor detail, besides, if he dosen't know, then perhaps he could get us an audiance with the principal!" Maya realised that Wavern was right and ran up to Shun, "Umm...Excuse me, but I need your help, sir..."

[Auralady]

Clara nodded, “See yeah then.” Once everybody had left Leonidas jumped up onto Clara’s shoulder and the Darkus brawler crept past Shun, Skyress and Maya. By the time the pair had reached the commons area there was still time to kill. OF course it didn’t take too long before they got into a battle with an Aquos brawler. In Arena J the boy sent out an Aquos Centipoid as Clara grabed Leonidas. “Bakugan brawl! Bakugan stand! Let’s go Darkus Leonidas!”, yelled Clara as the Darkus bakugan appeared roaring. “Hmph no problem Clara. Let’s squash this bug!”, Leonidas took a step towards the opposing bakugan. “To bad your Leonidas won’t be able to do that Clara.”, the boy smirked, “Ability activate! Gyro Typhoon!” But nothing happened. Actually the opposing Aquos bakugan was encased in what looked like a large dirty water bubble. “What the----?” demanded the boy, “Centipoid’s ability was nullified!” Clara laughed, “You have to be quicker then that. Ability activate. Murky bubble. Unfortunetly for you pal this ability makes your Centipoid a sitting duck. Now then finish it Leonidas! Ability activate! Nexus blast!” “Say good-bye Centipoid!”, said the Darkus bakugan as he sent a spinning ring of dark energy at the trapped bakugan. Leonidas eturned to Clara’s hand ending the first round. “Gate card set! Bakugan brawl! Darkus Leonidas stand!”, called Clara as Leonidas appeared on the field again just like before.

"Hikari," Mantris asked as Hikari trudged down the hallway. "Where are we going?" The light colored Bakugan was sitting on his shoulder, barely holding on. "Not the library, that's for sure..." Hikari says, grinning. They come to a stop as they reach the card shop. "Hikari," Mantris whispers. "What are you doing?" Hikari grins even wider. "Well, I know Clara's strategies," He says. "So now to get some Bakugan and Gate and Ability cards to fool her." They walk into the card shop, and they walk down the rows, looking for the Haos aisle. "Here we are," He whispers silently. "Haos Preyas... and Haos Skyress..." He moves on and on, formulating a strategy.

"Gate card open! Drowning Whirlpool!", the boy yelled as a large whirlpool appeared and began sucking Leonidas into it. Try as he might the darkus bakugan couldn't free himself from it. "A...little...help...here Clara!?", Leonidas said struggling still to free himself. THe boy laughed, "You think you're so cool just because you're the daughter of Shun! HA! Yeah right!", he taunted her. That was a huge mistake. Clara hated being reminded of who her parents were and every time somebody reminded her she lost it. "You'll pay pal.", clara hissed under her breath, "Ability activate! Dark Vengence!"Leonidas fired a compressed beam of energy into the sky which exploded splitting into several dagger or needle-like objects. these then rained down on both bakugan to return them to their brawlers as both life gadges decreased. Clara cought Leonidas and looked at him, "Sorry about that Leonidas but I had to act fast." "I understand why you did it Clara. Now let's just crush this guy allready!", replied the bakugan. Clara nodded and through Leonidas back in.
