Master Red
Beau had the seat in between Wendy and Mark and was looking at the brightly pink colored egg before him. He wanted to touch it or hold it, but he didn't dare to do so with a fear of accidentally breaking the egg itself as well as not knowing if they were even allowed to touch them. The eggs in the classroom were all of varying sizes and colors, which he guessed had to do with what kind of pokémon had laid the egg itself. Beau tried to think of pokémon that were pink in order to figure out what kind of pokémon could've laid this egg, but he then realized that a pokémon being pink might have no impact on the colors of their eggs. A Vileplume could just as well have laid the egg before him and as such he gave up on the train of thought. he had been a bit shocked over the neatness and amount of technology of this room. It was so different from the other classrooms he'd been in already that were quite traditional. "Hey, what do you think is up with these eggs?" Beau asked Wendy and Mark respectively, looking at both of them and their eggs.
Naimo
Clover's eyes somewhat widened as she saw the eggs; she had never imagined to see so many! She was even more intrigued by the egg on her table; to echo Wendy's question, were those eggs really for them? Chris was eagerly waddling over and sniffing hers. If they really were for them ... oh how exciting! She sincerely hoped that they were; she almost jumped up and down with excitement at this thought. Clover was so preoccupied with her egg that the hi-techness of the classroom nearly bypassed her. However, even when she did notice the blackbord, the prospect of getting another Pokemon so soon after Chris was much more exciting.
Super Chaos Sonic
Ethan walked into the classroom and saw all the technology and eggs. He was amazed that they had all this in the same room. "Wow, this is kinda cool." Ethan said to himself. He heard the others getting excited about seeing on their desks, Pokemon eggs. Ethan now had a bright smile on his face as he walked over to his desk and saw a bright red egg with a yellow "blaze" symbol on it. Bright red and a yellow blaze symbol! Ethan thought as he looked at the egg. This would only mean one thing...his favorite type of Pokemon was in this egg. Man I really, really, really...hope this egg is supposed to belong to me!! he thought, getting a little excited himself.
fenrir
"From what my sister told me, I'm pretty sure we keep these. As long as we get a good grade." Given that the class was about taking care of your Pokémon, Mark was positive that the majority of them would pass with flying colors. You didn't have to be a genius to know how to use a potion or to brush your Pokémon's coat. The courses were of course, piss easy. With the teacher no where in site, Mark sat down. His egg was... Obvious, in a sense. It was yellow and black, so maybe an electric type? Anything else would be odd.
GreyCat
Ling was actually in his pokeball for this class. And it was a good thing too. Pokemon eggs and rambunctious deers didn't get along well. But Blair could see that this class was going to to move to the top, or close to the the top of his Best classes list. Actually getting to raise a pokemon egg, and possibly getting to keep it? Major score. But he wasn't sure what pokemon it was. Maybe a water type, or a poison type. Blue wasn't exactly a definite color and thought he black marks migh mean something, they didn't mean anything to him. He gently rocked the egged as he studied. ON the table, he saw a fire type, maybe a tepig, a possible electric type and what had to be togepi. Lucky them.
Master Red
"NO WAY!" Beau exclaimed happily, picking up his egg and examining it very carefully. "I wonder what this could be..." he mused to himself, turning the egg upside down as if expecting there to be a note there saying: "Hello I'm this kind of pokémon and I live inside of this egg. I'll come out and greet you in a few months". "You know, when I think about it I think my sister mentioned something like that before too.." He then said, remembering his sister talking about the pokécare classes and he could have sworn she once mentioned something about eggs. "Maybe it was that way my sister received her Bonsly?" he mumbled, talking mostly to himself. Beau shrugged to himself, throwing this thought away as he didn't care. He was receiving another pokémon in a few months through this egg, if they got to keep the hatchlings that is. "I wonder where the teacher is though?" Beau said, pointing out the obvious fact that their teacher had not yet arrived to the room.
Super Chaos Sonic
Ethan rubbed the egg that was on his desk with his hands and smiled. He heard Mark then ask where the teacher was, since she wasn't in the room. "Why would we need a teacher for this class?" Ethan asked looking at Mark. "I mean its just taking care of a Pokemon egg. My parents took care of a Geodude egg back in Pewter City, so I pretty much know how to take care of them." He pulled out a small handkerchief from his pocket and then gently rubbed it on the egg, to clean it. "All you gotta do is just keep it incubated and show it some love. At least, that's what my parents told me."
Naimo
Clover was already fondly stroking her egg. She too had a hunch it was a Togepi; oh how fantastic it would be if it was! Her team would be ... well, beyond cute! She did fancy the prospect of having two baby Pokemon on the same team (it certainly seemed to match her sweet disposition). "Actually, well, where is the teacher?" Clover also asked, having heard Beau and Mark say the same question themselves. "If we get to keep these when we pass our exam ... I really want mine!" As if to demonstrate, she gingerly picked up her egg and hugged it safely, whilst Chris was watching. It was difficult to tell whether he was starting to grow jealous or not, but it wasn't really in his nature to act that way. Besides, he appeared to like the prospect of having more company. Master Red
As the students in the room began to stir and grow impatient over the missing teacher the door to the classroom shot open and a woman hurried in. She had shoulder length blonde hair with a fringe and was wearing a doctors robe over a black dress, with a stethoscope around her neck. "I'm so very sorry!" She exclaimed as she closed the door behind her and smiled apologetically to the students in the room. "There was an emergency in the pokémon center that needed my attention, I'm sorry for the delay" she apologized once more while she walked up to the front desk, putting her hands on it and looking out over the group of students before her. "I see that you have all started to make yourself accustomed to the pokémon eggs" She noted happily, as many students were holding theirs in their hands. Sally's hand shot up quite quickly as the eggs were mentioned, using her free one to cradle a violet egg with a yellow top and pink spots in her arms. "Before you ask, yes the eggs are for you and the pokémon inside is yours as well... if you are deemed fitting to take care of it that is" the teacher said, and Sally's arm slowly came down again, and she had a big smile on her face. "Now, I'm Dr. Sydney Farehay, and I will be your teacher for this subject" Sydney said, straightening up behind the desk and putting her hands behind her back. "I am also teaching the breeding elective that will be availble for you during your sixth(?) year" she added and smiled, she seemed to be quite proud of her position at the school. "I also fill in as the school nurse so if you have any medical issues you'll be able to find me between classes in the nurse's office in the west wing on floor one" she filled in and looked around at the student's making sure they were listening. "As you may have guessed we will start to learn about Pokémon Eggs and how to care for them" Sydney then said, turning all teacher serious all of the sudden and starting to use the touch screen white board to open images of pokémon eggs and copies of pages to the student's course litterature. "I want you all to open the pages to your 'Pokécare 101' books on the chapter about eggs and read it through. Afterwards we will go through some of the things in practice so I know I'm letting you all out of here without anyone ending up with a scrambled pokémon" She commandeered, looking very serious as she mentioned the last part and taking her time to look at all students. Beau opened up his 'pokécare 101' book and found the chapter about eggs quite easily. He had been a bit worried when she said they had to read an entire chapter, but as it turned out, said chapter wasn't very long, only 6 pages actually! The chapter addressed some core issues when it came to taking care of an egg, the do:s and don't:s basically. There were a decent amount of images that were somewhat instructional, showing a trainer washing the egg and keeping it warm among other things. What Beau found most intriguing about the chapter however was the last part where it listed baby pokémon and showed their eggs. As he looked at the images he looked around in the class room as well, the eggs of the baby pokémon were what they had been handed! he wasn't very surprised though, the book was especially made for the school and as such everything in it should be relevant. His egg, from what he was able to tell from the images in the book, held a Cleffa and he almost yipped from excitement as he saw this. Not only were Cleffas quite rare, they were also incredibly cute!
Just to make sure everyone know's what is inside their egg, if you wish to add something to your post regarding to them reading about that. Beau: Cleffa Mark: Elekid Clover: Togepi Wendy: Riolu Blair: Mantyke Norman: Tyroge (Aggressive) Matthew: Wynaut Ethan: Magby
Super Chaos Sonic
Ethan sat down as he saw the teacher walked into the classroom. He then opened his "Pokecare 101" book and then began to read about taking care of Pokemon Eggs. He flipped to the next page and saw the images for the eggs, as in what Pokemon were in what egg. Ethan looked down the list of images and then got to the image of the exact egg he had sitting on his desk and then he had a huge smile on his face. A-A Magby!! Ethan said looking at the picture in the book. I was right...it is a Fire-Type Pokemon!! And Magbys are beyond cute! So I might get someone to like me thanks to this Magby! Needless to say, he was excited about getting a Magby.
.:Abarai Renji:.
Wendy skimmed through her 'PokéCare 101' book carefully, taking note about most things, especially about the do's and dont's as to what to do with an egg, or don't. She then smiled brightly as to what baby Pokémon she would get; the Poké-Egg she had gotten would hatch a cute little Riolu. 'Wow! I've always thought Riolu's are so cute!' she thought with a smile. 'But that means... I got to get even tougher! 'Cuz Riolu's are Steel and Fighting! And so are Lucario's. This is gonna be tough... but I'll make it!' she had a confident smile on her face as she began petting her egg gently, and her Shinx nuzzled it a bit. "Shi!" GreyCat
The first thing Blair did was skip to the pictures. Blue eggs, blue, eggs, blue eggs with stripes. Mantyke! His egg was going to be a mantyke! That was so cool. They may not be manly, but they were cool. And that was close enough. He wondered how long it would take for it to it to hatch. He heard something about walking around a certain number of steps, but he was sure that guy was just messing with him. He rested the egg in his lap and read through the do's and don'ts section. Washing, keeping warm and more. He could handle that. He could take one of his sweaters to make a harness for it. And make a checklist of the things he needed to do so he didn't forget. He thought about it. He would put 'don't let Ling near it' at the top of the list.
fenrir
The book was surprisingly thick and detailed, especially detailed. There were individual suggestions for each egg and the Pokémon, in his five or so minutes of studying the book he learned that if you heated a water Pokémon's egg for a long enough time, it boiled. Fire Pokémon eggs did not have to be heated unless in an extremely cold environment, grass Pokémon eggs required a bit of sunlight, fighting Pokémon eggs were surprisingly sturdy... A lot of interesting tidbits. Magby eggs apparently attracted flickers of fire, so it was a good idea to keep them away from flammable objects... Mantyke eggs were very light weight... Togepi eggs seemed to emit an aura of 'happiness'... Riolu eggs could shatter steel if dropped correctly, while keeping the Pokémon perfectly safe... (Although he didn't want to know how they figured that out.) Then he got to his egg. To his surprise, it was a Pokémon he actually wanted. Elekids are feisty Pokémon, being naturally aggressive. When raising one, it's a good idea to keep them away from other Pokémon. If left unattended an Elekid could potentially spark a power-outage and/or seriously injure someone. The egg itself is surprisingly durable for an electric type, bearing a striking resemblance to a fighting type egg. They can sometimes cause sparks to jump from electrical outlets and other machinery, and a particularly powerful Elekid egg could shut down the power of a household. It also should be advised to never leave an Elekid unattended with a Magby, no matter the temperament. Elekids and Magbies are known to be especially aggressive with each other, a symbol of their long species feud.
Naimo
Clover eagerly flicked to the chapter, and as she perused through it, she eventually found her egg. It was easy to guess how she would react upon learning that she had a Togepi; she ecstatically cried out and leapt onto her feet for a brief moment, before looking a little embarassed at her over-reaction, and hastily sat down again. Her cheeks were still burning as she read the description in her book. Togepi generally act childish and may be oblivious to danger, therefore extra care should be taken to keep them safe. They also have a very joyful nature. As a result, it is said that it shares its joy with those who take care of it and protect it from harm. "Look at this Chris," she whispered happily to her Spheal. He had been resting on her lap until she had stood up; a good side of being round was that he easily rolled onto the ground, thus doing no damage to himself, and had rolled his way back to his owner. "My Togepi's going to be as cute as you! You'll have a good mate!" "Spheal!" was the enthusiastic agreement.
.:Abarai Renji:.
"Wow, I can't believe it! I am getting a Riolu!" Wendy exclaimed in happiness and rubbed her egg gently, while Sparky nuzzled it and gave it a few licks, as well, giggling in his own language. Wendy then proceeded to read a few lines about the Pokémon she had gotten; A Riolu's Aura Power is weak at first, but grows stronger as it matures and finally, evolves into a Lucario. Riolus can still sense the Aura of their Trainers, and are quicker to form a relation with their trainer than most Pokémon if the trainer is calm and collected. Since they are a Steel-Type as well as a Fighting-Type, they have high durability and endurance, and are able to be trained slightly rougher than other Pokémon(although that is not highly recommended). A Riolu will only evolve once it feels a certain state of happiness and when the bond with its trainer is strong enough. "I guess he's going to be a pretty hand-full, don't you think Sparky?" Wendy laughed a bit as she petted her Shinx, making it purr and nuzzle her hand. "Although you will be too, once you reach Luxray state!" she added with another chuckle, and kept reading about Riolu. Super Chaos Sonic
Ethan put his book down and stopped reading about Magby. I can't wait to get my Magby! I'll finally have a Fire-Type Pokemon of my very own! he thought with a smirk, appearing on his face. Hope Rai won't get all upset that we have a new member on our team. I'm wanting the both of them to be the best of friends...I just hope no one got an Elekid. Ethan knew about the fighting between Magbys and Elekids, and he was really hoping that none of the other student's Pokemon Eggs had an Elekid in it. His train of thought was stopped by hearing someone scream that they'd be getting a Riolu. Ethan turned around and then saw the girl, named Wendy, who said that sentence. "Your getting a Riolu?" he asked, quietly. "Congrats!"
Naimo
"You've got a Riolu?" Clover asked Wendy. "Oh wow! I've never seen one before, but apparently they're really strong!" She then turned to Ethan, and it then struck her that they had never met. "So, erm ... what egg have you got? I'm Clover Addison, by the way, and this-" She put down her textbook and scooped up Chris into her arms. "-is Chris." "Spheal!" Chris sanguingely cheered. "Spheal!" Super Chaos Sonic
Ethan looked at the girl, who introduced herself as Clover. He smiled a little and said,"Hi...I'm Ethan...Ethan Walker." Ethan grabbed his Pokeball and said,"And this Pokemon here is my Rhyhorn, Rai." He put the Pokeball back and then gently patted his Poke Egg. "Well from what the book says, Clover, I got myself a Magby. Which is good for me, since my absolute favorite Pokemon type is the Fire-Types...even though that kinda got me mocked back at Pewter City." Ethan stopped a little and then scratched the back of his head. "S-Sorry...I kinda ramble a lot..."
Naimo
Clover smiled at him; it was a rather sweet smile, and a very unusual display of emotion as well. "Magby's are cute. I don't think you're wierd to like Fire-types; I like Bug, Grass and Poison-types myself - and Chris, and my Togepi, of course." She patted her egg as she said 'Togepi', just to make it clearer to Ethan. "So you're called Ethan? I've never heard of that name before; it's a very nice name..." As she spoke, she put Chris down on the table again. He seemed to be as attached to the Togepi as Clover was; he kept wadling over and gently nudging it, although on his fourth nudge, the egg seemed to bounce back slightly, and in a somewhat aggressive manner. Chris momentarily felt a sweatdrop roll down the back of his body, but he continued to nudge his future buddy anyway.
Master Red
"Okay now children, I think that's enough time for reading the chapter!" Sydney exclaimed as she started to notice that most of the students were starting to stirr and socialize instead of reading. "Now for the practical part of this first lesson" She then said, getting up from the desk and taking up an egg that hadn't been present in the book. It was quite small and orange with red dots scattered about on the shell. "This here is a Weedle egg that I will be using for this demonstration" she explained, placing the egg on the counter-like desk in front of her. Sydney proceeded to explain how the children were to best keep the egg safe and warm as well as the importance of keeping it clean. Beau didn't really get how keeping an egg clean would help it grow and hatch, but he guessed that part was more of a preparation for when the eggs actually hatched. "I also recommend that you sleep close to your eggs, this will bring them heat and help them hatch faster" Sydney finished and then looked at her watch. "Well, I think that'll do for today, remember to keep your eggs safe now and I'll see you next week!" She bid the students farewell and then rushed off as she had to get back to the school's pokémon center. "She must really love her job because she seems to do a lot of work" Beau thought to himself as he gathered his things and then picked up his egg, smiling down at it. Within a few months he'd have his very own Cleffa, hopefully Princess would be nice to him or her.
fenrir
Mark had continued reading up on eggs. Flying type eggs were rather small, rock type eggs were hard to distinguish from actual rocks, and normal type eggs were... Well, normal. Sat was unimpressed by the Elekid egg before Mark. In fact she was disinterested of all the eggs, merely settling down on Mark's head once again. Mark decided to look around, see if he could recognize the other eggs from what he just read. Okay well, not true. His book was actually open and on the page of listed eggs for the school. Beau had scored a Cleffa, nothing he really cared for personally. Clover had gotten a Togepi, a rather innocent but potentially powerful Pokémon. Blair had scored a Mantyke, lucky bastard. His sister had told him how Mantines were a great asset to have for riding class. Wendy had gotten a Riolu egg. Almost immediately he checked her off on his list of potential challengers. A Lucario was quite the Pokémon if raised properly. He knew, his father had one. Ethan had gotten a Magby. Mark found that quite funny, and did another mental check for potential challengers. Class passed by fast. A little too fast. Then again, time seemed to fly with the eggs. They had been told to bring their eggs to their dorms before the next class. After all had been said and done, there was still about 30 minutes of free time.
Naimo
Clover paid apt attention to what the teacher was saying. She was very eager to have her Togepi hatch faster, and then Chris would have a mate to ... well, do whatever Pokemon did. Probably socialise like humans. She gingerly scooped up her egg, and then said to a hopeful-looking Chris, "I'm going to have to return you to your Pokeball now. Please don't look at me like that, I'm afraid I can't carry you and my Togepi at the same time." Chris was looking very deflated, almost like a flattened basketball, and Clover reluctantly held out her Pokeball. In a flash, Chris was gone, secured inside the one place he hated. With a heavy sigh, Clover clicked her Pokeball back onto her belt, and then left the classroom.

"Sorry I didn't finish that conversation before the teacher told us to stop." he apologized. "But I'm going to agree, Magby are cute...but your Spheal is cuter by comparison. And you got a Togepi, that is cute Pokemon too. And with that you'd have a pretty cute Pokemon team." Ethan couldn't believe that he was having a conversation, without stuttering like he usually did. This, to him anyway, was big moment for him...that and the fact that he was talking to a girl as well.
GreyCat
Blair kept turning his egg over and over, examining it from every side. He was looking for what could the front of the egg. The book said eggs could see everything that happened around them, but he didn't know if they had a face of something close enough to work. He sighed and smiled at the egg anyway. He wanted the little Tyke to know he liked him. Even if he wasn't a buff and manly pokemon. He looked around and saw Mark nearby. He realized he hadn't really talked to anyone, not even his roommate Ethan. His mother had told him making friends was important for a... a vibrant and productive school life. Whatever that meant. He sighed and waved at Mark. "Um, hey. I'm... Blair. Nice to meet you."
fenrir
Mark heard someone call his name and spun, it was Blair. He was slightly familiar with the boy, he recalled watching him receive his Deerling and seemed to be disappointed by it. Truthfully he couldn't blame him, although a Deerling WAS cooler than a Hoppip. He remembered his father going on 'Winter Hunts' with an old friend of his, he would ride a rather proud Sawsbuck in it's winter coat. It wasn't exactly the worst Pokémon, definitely better than the monstrosity he had currently. He really hopped Sat didn't evolve into a pink coloration. He had never seen a shiny Jumpluff before. Mark waved back at Blair, "...Hey.
