The last few days had been eventful, getting showed around at the school and meeting the teachers as well as playing games and doing various other things that were quite standard for the first days of a new school year. There were'nt too many people in Beau's class, probably around 15, but they all seemed nice enough. Today classes would start for real and he hoped that he would be able to do well enough even though he didn't really have any experience with pokémon. Then again, his sister, Clarissa, hadn't had any experience before entering the school either and she was doing well enough. Clarissa, however, had known quite early that it was coordinating she wanted to do and thus she could focus whole heartedly on that. Beau had no idea what he wanted to specialize in later on, either battling or coordinating, but buth had elements he liked and it was completely impossible for him to choose. And what if he made the wrong decision? Perhaps it wasn't impossible to become a great trainer as well as a top coordinator?

He shook these thoughts away, he didn't have to know now, he had 9 years ahead of him at this school and that would prepare him for going into either path. What he had to do right now was to get to the battle grounds for his first battle class, being late for his very first class at the school would be highly embarrassing.

He stretched a little in his bed and looked around in the room that he was sharing with one other boy, who seemed to have already left. The room wasn't very large, but it was large enough for two people to live there. There were two beds, two desks and they even one dresser each, as well as an en-suite bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. Not too shabby in other words. The walls of the room were a minty green color and it had wooden floors. There was one window in the room with dark blue curtains hanging in front of it, closing out the sunlight somewhat.

Beau let out a yawn and then got out of bed, and headed for the bathroom to shower up and brush his teeth. After he had gotten himself ready, he dressed in his uniform, grabbed his school bag and Princess' pokéball and headed out of the room. Looking at his watch he saw that tehre was 30 minutes left before class started, so he had pleanty of time for breakfast, which was nice.

Entering the kitchen area he grabbed himself two slices of toast and spread some marmalade across it and then pouring himself a glass of milk. Hopefully it'd keep him full enough until Lunch time.

"Mmmm?" That was the first groan that escaped from Clover's lips as she felt something round and cuddly gently nudge her chin. She wearily forced her eyes open, and a smile adorned her face as she saw Chris' equally sanguine and uber-kawaii - (OK Naimo, stop fangirling now) - looking at her. It was like a minature sun that only she could possess was staring at her, and she instinctively pulled him into a hug. "Morning Chris."

"Spheal!" he cheerily answered her. He shut his eyes temporarily, thus making a ^3^ face, before opening them again, just as Clover gently sat up, so as not to send Chris tumbling into her lap. She threw a sideways glance at her clock; it was exactly nine o'clock, and with some alacrity, she sprung out of bed, got dressed, made herself look presentable, and headed to the kitchen, all while holding Chris under one arm like he was a basketball. He was certainly the right shape, only a bit smaller and actually living.

She gingerly set him down on the table, gave no recognition to anybody else who was present, and made herself some cereal. She sat down in time to pull Chris back, who had waddled somewhat dangerously close to the edge of the table, and instead set him on her lap, where he happily stayed put. He kept looking up at her, and she kept looking down at him in between mouthfuls. It was difficult to tear her eyes off him; she couldn't have asked for a cuter Pokemon.

Mark shot a glare to his roommate, who had just entered the kitchen. He was having an omelet, carefully created by yours truly, and hinted with a variety of spices. Thankfully he did manage to convince his dad to stock their food supply, otherwise there would be problems. Mark had definitely not made Beau food, he could do that himself. Presuming he even knew how to cook something basic like an omelet anyways. The child's Hoppip was nested in his hair, twitching her leaves, the Hoppip peeked out and spotted Beau. "Pip!" It yipped, but was quickly silenced by a light swat from his master.

"Hey, we have the same classes so... You'll be following me around. 'Specially since my dad owns this place so... I know where to go." He seemed to be slightly awkward around Beau. Mark never friends as a kid, so he was unsure of how to act. Even worse with Beau's personality; the kid was as friendly as they got, something Mark didn't find good nor respect all too much.

'Dad, when will you get back home?' the young, blue-haired girl asked her father, who was dressed in a nice, fancy business suit with a brown-colored hat on his head. The man smiled down at his daughter, and kneeled down, hugging her and stroking her hair. 'As soon as I'm finished with work, darling.' he said in the most soothing voice he could, and she smiled up at him. He stood up, embracing his wife and kissing her cheek. 'You two be good until I get back!' he chuckled as he then went to the business car waiting for him, and stepped inside. The girl rushed up to the road leading to their house, waving after him as the car drove off. 'BE SAFE!' she shouted after it, until it disappeared in the distance...

"Shi? Shinx!" Sparky tugged on Wendy's skirt, which she had been sleeping in, growling playfully like a Shinx at his age would. Wendy's eyes slowly flickered open as she looked around, noticing Sparky tugging her clothes with his small teeth, and giggled a bit as she sat up and petted her partner. "Hello, Sparky! Sorry, I was just snoozing off for awhile..." She said, then sighed as she relived her dream slightly. It had been so long since she had seen her father... she really hoped to meet him again. And once she did, she'd be a fully-fledged Pokémon Trainer.

Finishing her reminiscing of old memories, she just smiled and put on the rest of her clothes, noticing Clover - her roommate - already being in the kitchen and eating cereals. She stood up and went into the kitchen, her Shinx following obediently. "Heya! Ummm, Clover, was it?" she asked with a faint blush as she made herself some sandwiches. "Don't you think this'll be fun? Bein' roommates and all?"

Beau had been quite impressed when he saw that Mark, his room-mate, had gone out of his way to actually cook an omelette. Beau himself didn't really know much about cooking, sure he could boil pasta and fry a hot dog but if he was asked to make an omelette he was quite sure he'd burn it or mess it up in some way or another. He smiled a little at Mark's hoppip and waved to it as it yipped at him, he kind of wished he could have Princess out as well, but as she was unable to be on land that was out of the question.

"Hey thanks, I think I know where to find everything though, given we were showed around a bit these last few days. But it's great that you kno the way there, then I don't have to be worried about getting lost" He said, laughing a little after the last part. Knowing his luck he would probably take a wrong turn somewhere and end up in "the garden" instead of the battle grounds, so it was good that Mark knew the way then that wouldn't happen. He ate his breakfast and then brushed some crumbs off of his shirt before heading to the sink to wash out his glass and put it in the dish washer. He also made sure to wash his hands and his mouth, to make sure that he didn't have any stains on him and then wiped his hands and mouth dry on the kitchen towel.

"Well, I'm ready to go at least!" He exclaimed, not being able to contain how excited he was about their first class. Who could blame him though, it was battling class and that surely had to be fun.

Mark laughed, "Excited? Really? Relax it's just school! You'll hate it by the time we get back, stupid." He had finished his omelet and was washing the plate in the sink. His bag was by the living room exit, which was conveniently near the kitchen. With breakfast done he went over to pick up his bag, letting it slide down his shoulders, he turned to Beau. "Should we wait for Norman or...?" Norman was a boy he had met yesterday during the introduction period. He seemed like he wasn't stupid, and hey, he was in his class so it couldn't be bad right? "...Wait, you probably haven't met him..." Mark paused by the door and waited for an answer.

Through slurred vision and distance dreams of past events, Norman awoke in his newly adapted environment: His dorm room. Bypassing the 2 layers which covered him, he stumbled groggily out of his bed and fumbled his way over to the bathroom. Upon exiting, his complete attire had changed to that of his usual school uniform, complete with his glasses and usual hat. He went to look for his school bag, after a quick flash at the mirror to check that his uniform was being appropriately worn, and as well as that Britney.

After rummaging through most of his room, he eventually came across his usual bag and the Pokémon in which he was assigned. "Come on, Britney. It's time for you to get up..." He clicked the button on his Pokéball, thus releasing the creature kept safely inside, to reveal a sleeping Patrat which was obviously deep in sleep. He let out a humble sigh, taking the Patrat into his arms and carrying it around. He didn't feel that hungry, so he decided to go off for a walk instead of eating breakfast. As such, he opened the door and went for a walk with his slumbering squirrel.

Beau was kind of put down by the way Mark had responded, how could he not be excited? They were going to practice pokémon battles during school hours, that sure beat a math lesson any day in Beau's book! No, Mark's response was not going to get Beau down, it may be school but it was pokémon school, not normal sucky school.

"Ehm, I don't think I met him yesterday. But I'm quite bad at connecting names and faces sometimes so I can't be sure" Beau answered, scratching his head a little and smiling apologetically. "I don't mind waiting for a bit, but if he doesn't show up soon I think we should go" He answered, letting Mark know how he felt about waiting. of course he'd rather go directly, but if Norman was on his way it would be way nicer to wait behind for a while.

Norman stopped by the door of Mike, tapping his clenched first against it lightly twice. "Anyone awake?" The boy yelled towards a door, hoping for some form of reply in return. He looked down at his squirrel to see her small eyes dazedly open, adjusting to the newfound light. She let out a small stifle from her rather large jaw and looked around hurriedly. "Pat..?" The Pokémon asked quizzically, looking up at it's trainer. Norman simply ignored the Patrat, thinking that it might of still been asleep, and knocked on the door again. As there was yet again no reply, he began to murmur under his breath. "Come on you guys, if you don't hurry the hell up..."

"Morning," Clover grinned at Wendy. Even though she hadn't known Wendy for long, her mind was already forming a good opinion of her. "Yeah, I'm sure it'll be fun. I've never tried sharing a room with anyone before, but there's always a first time for everything, right?" A friendly grin proceeded this honest declaration, and it was indeed a rare show of emotions. She was always misbranded as 'stoic', but her heart couldn't have had a warmer disposition.

"Spheal! Spheal!" Chris chirped from Clover's lap. He had seen Wendy beforehand, even though he was right now unable to see her due to being situated on Clover's lap; nonetheless, he liked her as well, although he wasn't sure about the Shinx. He had barely spoken to Sparky, but it wasn't in his nature to make enemies. He just made awkwardness as common as possible.

Wendy giggled from Clover's Spheal, hearing his happy cheering as she entered the kitchen. "Hello to you too, Chris!" she smiled and then looked at Clover. "Your Spheal is the cutest in the entire Pokémon World! And yes, there's always a first time for everything." she smiled happily at her and then sat down on the opposite side of the table, having a plate with two sandwiches, both with cheese and ham, and she took one and began eating on it. She was very silent afterwards, as she really didn't have anything to start a conversation with.

In the meantime, Sparky was snoozing off near Wendy's chair, his head leaning onto his cute, blue paws. He was always there for Wendy, wherever she went. The Shinx then looked up at the Spheal in the other girl's lap, and smiled with glee. "Shinx! Shinx!" he yapped happily, as if to say 'hello' to Chris.

In another dorm room, sunlight escaping from the window, hit a sleeping Ethan's face. He groaned a little before he pulled his blanket over his head. "I-I don't wanna get up..." Ethan mumbled as he turned over in his bed. Before he could try and go back to sleep, his alarm clock went off, signaling him to get up and start the day. Ethan tossed the blanket off and said,"Well, there went me sleeping in." He got up from the bed with a yawn and began to got his school uniform on. Ethan grabbed his bag and then put all his books in the bag. He glanced over towards his desk and saw his Pokeball, containing his given Pokemon, and grabbed it. He left the dorm, letting his roommate sleep in a little bit.

As Ethan left the dorm and then clicked the Pokeball and then said,"Rai! Time to get some fresh air!" From the Pokeball, a huge Rhyhorn appeared near Ethan. "RHY!!" Rai roared as he stretched out a little bit. Ethan patted Rai's head and said,"Lets get going..." He began to walk off, but he turned around and saw Rai just standing there...not moving an inch. "RAI!! Come on don't do this now..." Ethan groaned as he walked back towards Rai. Rai just sat there and grunted a little, standing there. Ethan sighed and said,"Rai, can we please go??" Rai glanced at Ethan and then snorted as he finally followed Ethan.

"Thanks; I love Sparky's coat, it's so sleek and ... and ..." Words seemed to fail Clover, who wasn't really sure what else there was to say. "...static." If pauses could speak, this one would have screamed 'WTF' into her ear over and over again. Clover couldn't really say she found Sparky cute, for lies often muted themselves before they left her throat, but seeing as Wendy had paid Chris a compliment, it was only proper for Clover to try and keep conversation alive by paying back a compliment.

Chris was no better than his owner; he said "Spheal!" back to Sparky, which also meant hello, and like their two owners, had nothing else to say, or indeed do, except for looking up at his owner and trying - and failing - to catch her eye.

"Hehe, thanks!" Wendy smiled a bit as Clover tried complementing her Pokémon as well, but seemed to fail miserably. She didn't judge her for it, though; some people just weren't that good with paying out complements, and she had to accept it. She kept eating on her cheese-and-ham sandwiches, and looked at Clover with a polite look in her eyes.

"So, what's our first class?" she then asked to her, being really curious and excited for their first class. "I heard that it's going to be a battle class... I-I dunno if me and Sparky will be able to do it, though..." she got nervous, fiddling her fingers around a bit and looking down at the table. She was never the violent kind, and never even moderately violent; she disliked all kinds of fighting, especially those involving Pokémon.

Beau had grown tired of waiting now and let out a sigh. "Maybe he's already gone to class?" He asked, more to himself than to Mark and adjusted his backpack. "I think we've waited for long enough anyways, let's head to class" He continued, his impatience shining through quite obviously. He couldn't wait to see what they were going to do for the battle class and he really wanted to work with Princess a bit too. He didn't know how she battled or if she was any good at it, although, he knew he would be the one that had to call the shots so if she sucked it would probably be his fault. The teacher was great at helping out though, according to his sister, and he knew she was doing fairly well in the abttling classes too which she had been terrible at in the beginning.

"Well let's just go already." With that Mark opened the door into Norman's face. The swing should have alarmed the Patrat he was carrying, hell, it should have given Norman himself a good scare. Whatever the case Mark stepped outside, "Pip!" Sat exclaimed, excited to see the Patrat. Mark grunted, "Oh, hey Norman." Mark raised his hand as if expecting a high five. That's what friends did right? Groups of students were already on the move to their first classes. Some had their homeroom as biology, others math, lucky for Mark he had Pokémon Battling. In fact, Norman and Beau did too. At least they wouldn't be separated, because as much as Mark knew how to traverse the school grounds, he wasn't keen on going alone.

"Battle class? Hmmm, I know what you mean..." In truth, Clover didn't want to see her darling Chris being hurt at all. What if it forever damaged his youthfulness? She was already dreading the inevitable, that he would eventually evolve into Sealeo and Walrein, and they were ugly compared to Spheals; what would battling do to Chris' youthful face?! "I don't want my Chris getting hurt."

"Spheeeeal," he promptly moaned. By that time, Clover had already finished eating, and she was already prepared to lift up Chris.

"Anyway, seeing as I'm nearly done, I might as well go early. Don't worry, I'll wait." She put her Pokemon on the table, and as she washed her own dish, Chris stayed very still, his eyes curiously watching Wendy bite onto her sandwiches; it was unusual for him to focus on anything, let alone on someone eating.

"A-Alright... thanks for waiting for me." She said solemnly, as she kept biting onto her sandwiches. She sighed inwardly as she somehow felt Clover worried about her Pokémon evolving sooner or later, but what was the reason to worry about something that was bound to happen? She didn't worry about her Sparky evolving to Luxio and Luxray. She had the weird "gift" of seeing cuteness in anything, except the more violent Pokémon's. And Luxray was just a big, cute lion for her. She petted Sparky on the head, to which he purred and nuzzled her hand.

"Aaaw, your Spheal is so cute!" she noted Chris looking at her eating, and scratched behind his ears gently, seeing he didn't mind it.

Ethan walked with Rai away from his dorm, heading to the first class of the day. He took out the syllabus(schedule) for the classes. Apparently, his first class was either Theoretical and Practical Battle or Coordinating. Ethan sighed a little as he thought about him going to Coordinating class, mainly cause with Rai only knowing Horn Attack and Tail Whip...he couldn't exactly put on a performance like most of the high class students. Now with the battling class, that was different. He knew that Rai was pretty much a power house and loved to battle. That and the fact of both Ethan and Rai wanted for him to evolve into a Rhydon. "Let's hope we get into the Battle class today, Rai." Ethan said with a smile. Rai nodded and said,"Rhy! Rhyhorn!!" Soon the two of them walked off to where the other students where, but Ethan, being shy didn't stop to talk to anyone.

As the door slammed open, Norman jumped back in shot, making sure to hold onto Britney as he still thought that the Pokémon was asleep. The Patrat was, however, not as collected as Norman and immediately let out a loud cry in shock. "P-PAT!" This cry immediately made Norman cringe, petting Britney's temple to make her feel better. "Shush, shush... It's only the door, nothing to scared of!" As his eyes drifted up from his Pokémon, he noticed the boy in the door with his hand raised. His own outstretched hand met against Mikes' own. "Oh. Hey... err... Mike, was it? I think it was Mike. I met you during the introduction period yesterday, right?" Norman asked, scratching the back of his head nervously with an anxious grin. Oh man, I'd better not have forgotten this guy's name... I don't want to make stuff awkward on the first day!

"Spheal!" Chris' ^3^ face was back, and Clover smiled, despite being busy putting her bowl away. She could picture it anyway.

"Well, he seems happy to be with you," she said as she resumed her seat. Silence descended again, and Clover just watched Wendy eat, albeit with much less enthusiasm than Chris. Clover herself automatically rested her palm on top of his head, between his ears, and began to stroke him. He really was like a living cuddly toy, and he certainly lived up to his namesake, which had been made after a certain person* reminded Naimo of a Spheal.

*He happens to be in Naimo's sig

Beau had jumped a little as he saw Mark had slammed the door into someone, a someone that turned out to be this Norman person that they had been waiting for. "Are you okay?" He asked, looking out from behing Mark and to the boy, concern showing on his face. The boy seemed to be okay, well somewhat as he seemed to have mixed up Mark's name with someone elses but that could be due to him being bad with names, just as Beau himself. "I don't believe we've met before, I'm Beau" He said, waving to him and smiling warmly.

Mark shot Norman a glare, "It's Mark," He retracted his hand and stepped away from the two boys for a moment, letting the door shut behind Beau. "Was first class Practical or Theoretical Battling? I know Math was second..." Sat nestled herself deeper into Mark's hair, then yipped, "Hop." As if attempting to remind Mark. He spotted a boy with a Rhyhorn, and whistled. "Wow. That kid got really lucky, Rhyhorn of all things?" The worst part was that this kid, Ethan as he recalled, was also part of their class. This meant tough times ahead in terms of battling. Sure, Hoppip was a grass type, but not a very aggressive one. The Rhyhorn would probably be a major threat, and as it seemed the only one who could counter him would be...

Beau? Seriously? Then again, Rhyhorn was Rock/Ground and Beau's Goldeen was water...

Ethan and Rai kept walking, hurrying up to get to class. However, Rai having noticed a trainer and his Hoppip, stopped and then said,"Horn! Rhyhorn!! Ethan turned around and saw Rai standing there, apparently talking to a Hoppip who belonged to the boy trainer, which he knew as Mark. Ethan gulped and then said,"R-Rai...lets go..." Rai just looked at Ethan and just snorted in response. Ethan sighed, now fearing he had no choice but to start talking to the others. He slowly walked over towards the two of them and said,"U-Ummm...h-h-hi. Nice H-Hoppip you have..."

Rai smiled then looked at the Hoppip and said,"Rhy! Rhyhorn!" Pretty much the normal Pokemon greeting, cause unlike his trainer....Rai was a little bit more friendlier to other Pokemon and their trainers.

Blair had slept in a bit. Actually, he woke up, then decided to take another half hour of so more of sleep. When he did get up, their was a flower by his face. He recoiled in surprise, then scowled. The rough motion waking him, Ling looked up at him and chirped happily. "Deerling!" Blair growled and pushed him off the bed. Ling hopped off and scampered around the room. Blair rolled off himself fumbled for Ling's pokeball. Of course he would get the pokemon with the flower on it's head. At least he wasn't a bellossom.

"Ling, why don't you stay in your pokeball like a good deerling?" he asked as he tugged on his clothes. A happy 'Ling!' was all he got for his efforts. Blair snorted and grabbed and fruit, tossing one to Ling and headed out. Ling danced around his feet, threatening to trip him, so he plucked him from the ground and ran off to class. Maybe he could catch Ethan before he reached.
