Yugioh Academies: Battle of the Chosen Duelists [IC]

"Fine don't duel me. I'll just duel Alex!!" I said to the boy walking up to Alex.
"Hey nice duel you want duel me now? I'm a tough one." I muttered to Alex.
"[i]ok my strategy going in is to defeat his Sychros and work from there. He's useless without them. That's exactly how just beat this kid! My Burning Decking will burn him into the ground before he can do anything effective![/i]" I thought to myself.

[Mecha Love]

"What are you talking about?" Alex asked, bewildered. "You were great! You are definately in this academy! Go to the desk and say you passed, because you did! They will tell you what dorm you are in. So stop crying and get over here!"
Then Alex laughed, "Trust me, if you are who I think you are, and I doubt I'm wrong, then this academy will be what you need. Very soon you will realise what I mean!"
Alex looked up at the crowd.
"Who's the next to duel me?" He shouted.

"Hello!! I'm next!" I just came up to you! I'm ready to do this!" He said to Alex.
"[i]Time to get into this school Troy! lets do this! Remember 0 Synchro's, means 0 chance for him![/i]" Troy thought to himself.
Troy toke out his deck and put it in the duel disk, and drew 5 cards, and stepped back to give some space for the duel field.
"Lets do this Alex! You go first I like going 2nd better!"

Alex looked doubtful at first but finally said:
"So be it. I feel you have a role to play un my mission-" he stopped himself suddenly. "I draw! To start with, I Summon Elemental Baby Dragon: Earth. Then I can Special Summon Elemental Baby Dragon: Wind. Both these cards are in DEF mode. Finally, I can Special Summon Elemental baby Dragon: Dark. Next, I activate polmerasation. I fuse my 3 dragons to form one of the original elementals: ORIGINAL ELEMENTAL DRAGON: DIMENSIONUS! (ATK: 3400). I play 2 face downs and End Phase." He said coolly. A purple, twin headed dragon was glaring at Alex's opponent sharply.

"Alright my turn." Troy said drawing a card from his deck.

"[i]Haha. Level Limit - Area B = no Synchros[/i]" He thought.
"I'll play my Level Limit - Area B, so all monster 4 stars or higher get to move to Defense mode!" Troy said putting the card onto the duel disk.
"Now I'll set 2 cards face-down and Set one monster face-down!"
"[i]Thank god for my epic hand! Stealth Bird will be bringing the punch next turn![i]" Troy thought
"I'll now end my turn! Lets see what you can do now that I have my Level Limit up!"

Leon walked across to the desk, and saw Silver walking away. He gave a friendly nod and addressed the person at the desk.

[i]"I suppose I'm here to sign up, so-to-speak"[/i] He said in a calm manner. [i]"I haven't done an entrance exam and I don't intend to, I did make a previous arrangement about this."[/i]

[b]"Well then, what's your name, regardless."[/b] Said the person at the desk.

[i]"Brightheart. Leon."[/i] Leon replied.

The person at the desk explained how they had no dorm allocations for him, and that he would need to discuss the terms with Alex Fudo.

[i]"Of course, how could I expect a highly advanced system to actually work?"[/i] Leon said sarcastically, obviously annoyed.

He approached the side of the duel field where Alex was currently dueling.

[i]"Mr. Fudo. I request a small conversation between you and I at the end of this match."[/i]

"[color="#FF00FF"]Hmmm[/color]. [color="#FF00FF"]I wonder when it will be my turn for the exam[/color]. [color="#FF00FF"]Hope it will be soon[/color]." Emilia asked herself. She gets up and starts walking around the duel area and notices someone siting by them self. He looked very familiar to her but she wasn't able to tell. Scared to walk closer to see but curious enough to do so.As Emilia walked right over to the person, she mustered up a little bit of courage to ask, "[color="#FF00FF"]Um[/color]... [color="#FF00FF"]excuse me[/color]. [color="#FF00FF"]But you seem very familiar and I thought[/color].....[color="#FF00FF"]wait[/color]...." She looks at him a bit closer and says, "[color="#FF00FF"]Izo[/color]? [color="#FF00FF"]Izo is that you[/color]?! [color="#FF00FF"]Oh my god, how are you[/color]?![color="#FF00FF"] It's been way to long[/color]!" Emilia stood there smiling at him.

Izo sighed as the duel ended earlier than he expected and the next duel started. He leaned back on the bench and watched calmly.

[b]"Kinda borind watching people duel the same guy over and over,"[/b] he muttered aloud [b]"Still, at least this way I can get a good look at all the decks I could be facing. It always pays to be prepared."[/b]

His thoughts were interrupted when he heard someone calling to him. He looked up and a smile broke over his face as he saw who it was.

[b]"Oh, hello there,"[/b] he said, raising a hand in greeting [b]"I didn't know you where trying out here too..."[/b]

Pleased that Izo recognized her Emilia takes his hand and added, "[color="#FF00FF"]I know right[/color]?! [color="#FF00FF"]How long has it been[/color]?[color="#FF00FF"] 4 or 5 years[/color]? [color="#FF00FF"]Time sure does go by fast[/color]." Looking back at the duel at hand, she asks him, "[color="#FF00FF"]So you already finished your duel right[/color]? [color="#FF00FF"]how did that go[/color]? [color="#FF00FF"]Heh[/color].[color="#FF00FF"] Knowing you you probably won by like turn 4 right[/color]?" Sitting by Izo made her remember the times when they were little kids testing their skills against everyone at the park. She turns her head and looks at him with a curious look across her face and asks, "[color="#FF00FF"]Say[/color]...[color="#FF00FF"]how did you come to know of this school anyway[/color]? [color="#FF00FF"]Didn't you used to be taught by some of the best teachers in the world, why are you going to a normal school[/color]?"

"Thank you, you chose Malefic Cyber End Dragon, the strongest of the three, so now I might Special Summon him to the field in attack position by removing my Cyber End Dragon from the graveyard. Appear, Malefic Cyber End Dragon, and attack Sickle-Thorned Flower, and deal him enough damage to nearly end his lifepoints, go Corrupted Cyber Blast." Darren watched as his Mechanical Dragon fired directly at his opponents Flower, watching eagerly to see if it had worked.

Isaac grunted. "[i]Just my luck...[/i]" He thought as he watched Darren add the card to his hand and then summon it. Isaac stepped back at the sight of the powerful four-thousand attack beast that had descended to the field. After Darren finally declared his attack with it Isaac's eyes widend and he stepped forward. "I activate my [url="http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Floral_Shield"]Floral Shield[/url] trap card! I can negate an attacking monster's attack and then draw 1 card. "[i]Assuming one of his face-downs doesn't stop my Floral Shield...[/i]" Isaac looked up eagerly at Darren, to see if he had a response-card to stop his Floral Shield.

Now, enjoy your turn as you won't have many left now, The clock is ticking and soon it will strike 0, meaning that you will have lost and I will have won." Darren was looking smug now, despite having his attack just negated, and was watching eagerly to see if his opponent could do anything against him anymore. Looking down at his field, he still had the advantage in both cards and monster attack points.

Isaac watched as a slew of flower petals put an end to the Cyber End Dragon's attack. Isaac then drew the the top card of his deck and added it to his hand. "Alright then, my turn." Isaac said and drew another card for his draw-phase, putting his hand total at three. "Tch." Isaac said, as he glanced at the two cards he had just drawn. "[i]Even if i summoned' you now it'd only be delaying...[/i]" Isaac thought, as he looked at tuner-monster in his hand. "There is another but...i can't use her in this duel." Isaac looked vexed, was he out of options? "I'm switching my Sickle-Thorned Flower to defense mode. Then im going to summon my Blood Creepers, in defense position. I end my turn..." Isaac said slowly

"My turn then, and as I already have a Malefic monster on the field, I will just draw normally this turn, Draw. I set another card face down, and attack Blood Creepers with my Malefic Cyber End Dragon. Go, Corrupted Cyber Blast once more." Darren watched, waiting to see if his opponent could stop the attack this time, and meanwhile looked at his three face down cards, each useful in it's own way, and each strong in it's own way.

Cyber End Dragon's attack went through and Blood Creepers was destroyed. Isaac took Blood Creepers and placed it in the graveyard without saying a word. He then looked back to Darren to see if he was finished with his turn. With only 1 monster at his disposal now, Ivy Shackles and a face-down surely Isaac's time was running out. "Do you end your turn?" Isaac said, nearly emotionless, as if he knew he probably had no way out of his situation. Isaac looked up at Darren. "[i]If i could draw something to destroy Malefic World i might be able to pull through, but his face-downs...[/i]" Isaac thought

"Yes, I end my turn, nothing much else I can do currently." Darren was thinking, 'This guy is good, maybe even worthy of being in the Dark Thorn dorm, but this duel has to be decided before that happens, so I might as well keep concentrating on it for now'. "This duel has gone on for a while but it is just about ready to finish, take your turn, because you don't have many of them left." Darren was looking down at the field again, trying to figure out what his opponents face down card was, but getting nowhere for now.

"Alright..." Isaac said weakly, as he then put his hand to the top of his deck and drew his card, placing it amongst the other 2 in his hand, however he soon took that same card and placed it-face up in his spell or trap card zone and activated it. "I activate the Spell Card, Magic Planter. This allows me to send Ivy Shackles to the gravyard." As Isaac said that he placed Ivy Shackles from his spell or trap card zone and discarded it to the graveyard. "This will allow me to draw two-cards, unless you respond now." Isaac looked anxious, he was really beginning to push his luck now.

"This time I chain a card, Null and Void, the same card I drew last turn. Now we both see the cards drawn, and then they go to the graveyard. Sorry but it didn't work this turn, and you lost Ivy Shackles as a result anyway." Darren watched, smugly as the cards were drawn, and waited to see if Isaac could stop the loss of the new cards or not, and if not, he was interested to know what the cards were. He still wasn't sure what the face down card was though.

Isaac watched as Darren activated Null and Void.[i] "Damn...!"[/i] He then picked up the top-two cards of his deck and showed them. The first was Lord Poison, and the second was Mystical Space Typhoon, both of which could have helped Isaac greatly. Isaac ditched the cards into the graveyard and then placed his Magic Planter in the graveyard. Isaac glanced at the cards in his hand. One, a tuner which he was neglecting to play, and the other, a Spell Card known as Plant Harvest. Isaac closed his eyes and sighed weakly, he took the spell-card from his hand and set it in his spell or trap card zone. "I set a card face-down, and now i am ending my turn.'

"Hmm..... interesting move. I draw! I activate heavy storm, destroying your spells and traps. Then I chain it with hand destruction. I have no cards but you do. Now, my origin elemental dragon attacks your set monster (3400) and afterwards I can attack you again with half its ATK (1700)! SO ATTACK!".
Purple energy beams fired out the twin mouthes. One fired at the set monster, the other at the duelist.

"My turn now, and since I still have my Malefic dragon on the field, I will draw a card from my deck normally instead of using the effect of Malefic World again, Draw. I activate the newly drawn card, Pot of Greed to draw two new cards. Next I activate Gold Sarcophagus from my hand, and remove from play Card of Demise, to get it during my second standby phase after activation, so the clock is ticking until I can draw a completely new hand. Malefic Cyber End Dragon attacks Sickle-Thorned Flower with Corrupted Cyber Blast once more." Darren stepped back to see what his opponent was going to do about this attack, and to find out if that face down card will finally activate against him, or if the new one will activate.

"Damn!!! My whole move to the grave!" Troy said as he watched his Stealth Bird get destroy.
He then watched his dragon send a second blow as he could do nothing to stop it.
" my turn then?" i asked, but still assumed it was.
Troy drew a card from his deck. [I]Yes! Sword of Revealing light! Now I can get some time do set up before he destroys me![/I]
"i'll play Sword of revealing light so I can get some time to set up. Now I'll summon Nurse of the fallen one! ( the card on the OOC thread ) So now when you gain life points it'll be inverted, so that you lose life points. Now to cntinue my move I'll play soul taker! Soul Taker gives me the ability to destroy one monster on the field by giving you 1000 LP''s, but with my nurse on the field you lose 1000 so it's a win win for me! Now nurse attack him directly! You lose a total of 2400 this turn.

[Mecha Love]

Alex laughed. "You've destroyed half of my monster! It is now a level 5 with 1700 ATK! My deck relies on more than just synchros! Also, the turn that half my dragon us destroyed, we both take equal damage! You lose 2400 too! So I draw! I activate pot of lust" He drew three cards.
"Ah. Iv draw the card I will use to finish you. Ritual Spell activate, 'spirit of the elementals', so by tributing my dragon on the field and my dragon in my hand (7), I can Ritual Summon, 'Supreme Elemental Dragon: Spirit' (4500atk). This is one of my mist powerful cards. Trust me, by the end of this youll hate it."
A ghostly, almost transparent dragon glided around the field. It was huge and majestic. A pale golden aura surrounded it. It roared and shook the building.
"Also, if I gain life points, you lose the same amount I lost!"

Realising he has been either unheard or just plain ignored, Leon returned to his thoughts and waited on the seats at the sidelines.

[i]I suppose it couldn't hurt too much to watch.[/i] He thought to himself.

He soon lost his concentration, however, and started thinking of other things, like his cards, and the girl he had met earlier.

[i]Do I really have what it takes... to help people here... or am I really that much weaker than I had thought?[/i]

He disregarded the thought, for now, and continued attempting to concentrate on the match.
