Yugioh Academies: Battle of the Chosen Duelists [IC]

Darren watched the monster throw it's body at him, not responding even when it hit and drew blood from his shoulder where it hit. "You may have managed to attack me but you can't beat me anyway, as I still have 1000 life points remaining, and two face down cards that are able to be used when necessary. End your turn now so that I may get a Malefic monster and destroy that Flower of yours, before winning this duel." Darren was tapping his foot, impatiently waiting to start what he believed to be the last few turns.

"Splendid! The sight of blood really gets my going!" Isaac seemed to have brightened up a lot. Issac's monster returned it self to his side of the field and then swayed back and fourth. Isaac examined the card in his hand and then examined the field. Confirming what his face-downs were and then thinking ahead. "[i]There's a whole slew of powerful monsters that will soon come my way, my flower isan't going to stand a chance. It could be anyone's game from here on out.[/i]" Isaac thought, as he then let his arm rest by his side. "I'm ending my turn now."

"It is now my turn, and instead of drawing, I am going to use the effect of Malefic World. Now I choose three Malefic cards from my deck and then you randomly pick one, instead of conducting my normal draw phase, and the rest are returned to my deck. I select Malefic Stardust Dragon, Malefic Blue Eyes White Dragon, and Malefic Cyber End Dragon from the deck. Now, will you pick the left card, the middle card or the right card." Darren watched the three cards as he raised them, with Malefic Cyber End Dragon in the middle, Malefic Stardust Dragon on the left and Malefic Blue Eyes White Dragon on the right.

Nova watched. Darren was in trouble now. With one of Isaac's most powerfull monsters on the field, this duel could go either way. On the other hand, Darren was about to get one of his most powerful Malefic monsters, regardles of what Isaac picked. Nova wasn't sure who was going to win, which was a shock. Nova could always tell who would win in a duel when he was watching it. Isaac and Darren seemed equally matched. It would all be over soon, one way or another.

Izo chuckled lightly as he deactivated his duel disk and gathered up his cards.

[b]"Well that was fun,"[/b] he said brightly [b]"I'll admit attacking was a pretty stupid move but the duel was going on long enough as it was and I believe I made my point, besides..."[/b] He looked up at the crowd of students watching them from the sidelines [b]"...I'm hardly going to show the whole class my best moves right from the start."[/b]

He gave a polite smile and walked off the duel ring, giving a friendly nod to the next duellist about to take his entrance exam. He sat down on one of the benches, watching eagerly as the next duel began.

[Mecha Love]

Alex chuckled too. "I totally agree with you Izo, but one day, we'll duel at our best. You never know, you might be even more powerful than you already are."

[i]I'm more than sure of that.[/i] he thought. He looked over at a duelist who was uncerainly standing on the steps leading to the duel arena. He beckoned for him to come down.
"Its our duel now!"
Suddenly Alex's face looked confused, then he beamed as he saw a little Kuriboh spirit on the duelists shoulder.
"Hello Horned Kuriboh! We meet again!"

As Silver approached the arena he said to "Horned Kuriboh" [b]"Ready Horned Kuriboh, time for our duel to begin, and what do'ya know we're up against Alex and his powerful Dragon, we best be careful, ok?"[/b] Horned Kuriboh nodded and sat on Silver's shoulder.
When Silver got into the arena, he looked around seeing the croud that are watching him, he was feeling a bit nervous, but then said to Alex [b]"Hello my name's Silver, and i'm here to duel, me and my deck are ready, the question is, are you?"[/b]

[Mecha Love]

Alex laughed, obviously delighted with the enthusiasm this duelist had. "Of course I'm ready! I never back down from a Duel! I know who you are now! Your little Horned Kuriboh there speaks very highly of you!"
Alex's duel disk began to shuffle his deck quickly and as Alex placed the Graveyard from the last duel into the Deck. One of the cards glowed gold. Alex frowned.
[i]We aren't dueling yet, calm down.[/i] He shot the thought waves at the card.
"Since you are the challenger, you can take the first move!" Alex took up his position in the arena and drew 5 cards from his deck. [i]This is gonna be interesting.....[/i]

Isaac listened with intent and then looked at the three-cards Darren was holding up. "So the fun is beginning huh....?" "[i]Twenty-Five Hundred, Three Thousand and four-thousand are their attacks."[/i] Isaac thought, he quickly verified his own cards and then looked back to Darren. "The middle card, add that one to your hand." Isaac said his answer, loud enough so that Darren would hear it. Isaac then grunted, because no matter which one he picked, any of the monsters was strong enough to cripple his monster. "Let's see what you've got."

Silver's Duel Disk started to shuffle his deck, then after it had finished Silver picked up the first 5 cards and then said clearly [b]"time for our duel to begin, and as you said since i'm the challenger i get to go first. My Draw!"[/b] Silver picked up the first card of his deck and put it in his hand [b]"ok then, i should think clearly on this, ok i got it."[/b]
[b]"First of all i summon Legacy Hero Jet Dude"[/b] out of the ground comes a hero with propellors on the back emerges on the battlefield [b]"...and thanks to his ability i get to add a Legacy hero from my deck to my hand, and i'll choose this one."[/b] Silver picks the card from his deck, and the duel disk auto-shuffles his deck. [b]"next up i place 2 cards face down and i end my turn."[/b]

Out of character: I haven't RP'd in like a year so I'll be getting to a slow start

Troy entered the exam area. It was filled with duelists wanting to enter the academy. everywhere he turned he see a duel happening. He was so bored. He wanted to duel right away, but he knew he had to wait for many other duelists. His Burn Deck was going to get in there and destroy! Troy went over to seats and decided to watch the duel happening at the time. After a few minutes he thought he could easily beat the two there in a 2 on 1. He got out of his seat and walked around. On the way he saw a duel happening. It looked like it was just starting. He stopped and watched. They looked pretty intense.

Alex drew a card. He smiled as he looked at the card.
"I summon [b]Elemental Baby Dragon: Earth![/b] Now when an Elemental baby Dragon is on the Field, my [b]Elemental Baby Dragon: Dark[/b] can reveal itself from the shadows!"
Two small dragons flew up into the air and came down, facing Alex's opponent. One was bulky and had chips of wood over its body and twigs for horns. The other had cunning red eyes and its hole body was pitch black.
"Now Synchro Summon![3+3+[i]2[/i]] When the shadows part, they reveal a dark dragon, The Shining Darkness! Elemental Dragon: Dark!" [2800 ATK]
A large, shining black dragon took to the field. It was a lerger version of the tuner monster, Elemental Baby Dragon: Dark.
"Since I used my Baby Earth Dragon as part of the Synchro Summon, its Level increases by 2. Also, my Dark Dragon is prevented from desruction thanks to his little tuner. Just as a precaution, I play cold wave! This stops your Spells and Traps this turn! So, Elemental Dragon: Dark. Attack his Legacy Hero!"
The dragon charged up a mighty burst of darkness and fired it towards the unprotected legacy hero.

If you control 1 "Elemental baby Dragon" you can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card is sent to the Graveyard for the Synchro Summon of Elemental Dragon: Dark, if Elemental Dragon: Dark would be destroyed, remove this card from play to negate its destruction (battle damage is applied normally).

[b]"Well, things are looking well,"[/b] Izo said aloud as he watched the duel [b]"I suppose it was only a matter of time before we saw a hero deck."[/b]

He didn't seem to be talking to anyone in particular, more to himself or just voicing his thoughts out loud. And he didn't seem at all bothered by the strange looks he was recieving because of this.

[b]"I wonder,"[/b] he muttered [b]"What this guy will do if he summons that Solarius dragon again."[/b]

Personally Izo had never been fond of using Synchro monsters, or anything using the extra deck for the matter. Every one of his Data Monsters where just regular effect monsters and they worked just as well as any deck that utilized the cards from the extra deck like Synchros of Exceeds. Admitedly it made his deck a bit slower than others but he didn't care, the faster his opponent summoned their best cards, the better for him. He grinned as he watched the duel eagerly, waiting to see the outcome of this one.

Troy started to sit down when he heard someone comment on the one kids move. "Maybe He'll duel me!" He thought to himself. He stood back up up and walked up to him.
"Hey I'm Troy, you wanna duel? I came here about 30 minutes ago and I'm looking for a due to pass the time." Troy said to the boy.
He turned back to the duel. He saw that one person played with a hero deck, and the other with a Dragon deck. Interesting. "Say that Solaris Dragon is a Synchro? Then it has to suck! Well probably not I just like old cards better." I muttered to the boy.
That Elemental Dragon deck actually looks really good. Even though it's using really new cards I think it's not that bad.

Alex laughed. "In every duel, I make a mistake, on purpose of course, to see if the opponent notices and you know? You're the only one, today, who has noticed it!" Alex chuckled to himslef. "I'll place 3 cards face down and End my turn there."

[i]This kid is really starting to interest me. He was the only one who saw what should be an obvious mistake, and no-one else sees it, he talks to Horned Kuriboh and he plays his deck with great skill. I'm definately summoning my Legendary card to see how he copes.....[/i]

[b]"My turn, i draw"[/b] Silver picked up the card with great confidence, but when he looked at the card he had a slight disappointment on his face [b]"i thought it was something else, but hey i'll activate Pot of Greed which lets me draw 2 cards"[/b] Silver picked up the
[b]"...and now i'll summon the tuner Legacy Hero Synchron, and when he's summoned i get to add a Spell card from my deck to my hand"[/b] a monster with a cape emerged onto the battlefield he then shot Silver's deck with a green light which added a spell card to his hand
[b]"...and now that i have a Legacy Hero monster i can Special Summon Legacy Hero Dash Dude to the field, now i have what i need, i tune my level 3 Legacy Hero Synchron with my level 3 Legacy Hero Flare Dude and my level 4 Legacy Hero Dash Dude." From 3 come 1 and from 1 comes the very spirit of the Earth, i Synchro Summon Terra Firma Dragon!"[/b] just as he Summoned it a small scale Earth appeared, it started to crack and out comes a blue - gray dragon

When this card is actiavted, you MUST attack my Dragon. Nor can you activate any effects."

Alex coughed slightly. "Umm...... thanks for the offer, but I think I'll deny it. My Dragon is staying a while longer! I remove from play Elemental baby Dragon: Dark to keep my Elemental Dragon on the Field. This also means I take no damage!"
The small form of the Dark baby Elemental flew up and took the full impact of the mighty blast. It faded away into nothingness.
"Nice try. But its not over just yet! I draw! Good. By the effect of Elemental Dragon: Dark, I can remove him from play to Special Summon Elemental Dragon: Light in its place [2600 ATK] for 1 turn. Then, I activate Card of Sanctity from my hand!"
Alex drew 6 cards from his Deck.
"Since I summoned Elemental Dragon: light, without using its tuner, I can remove it from play to reduce the Level of my Light Elemental by 4 [LV 4]. Then, I Summon, The Legendary Summoner!"
A small warrior-tuner appeared on the field, sword drawn. Its eyes reflected the sun in them.
"Activate Spell from hand! Elemental Nest! I can now summon 3 'Elemental Eggs' from my Deck! Come forth Elemental Eggs; Fire, Water and Earth [1,1,1]. Now! SYNCHRO SUMMON! BEHOLD THE MEANING OF TRUE LEGENDARY POWER! BEHOLD THE MAGNIFICENT DRAGON OF THE SUN! LEGENDARY ELEMENTAL DRAGON: SOLARIUS!"
There was a bright falsh of light. Out of the light came a massive dragon, witnessed earlier.
"This cards summoning cannot be negated. Nor can Spells and Traps be activated the turn this card is summoned. So attack my dragon! Solar Stream pulse!"
The Dragon opened its mouth. Fire charged within and finally, a beam of white energy shot out and destroyed Silver's only monster.
"I finally set 2 cards and end phase."

[b]"my god that dragon's powerful, meeting it face to face is almost overwhelming, Horned Kuriboh are you OK?"[/b] Horned Kuriboh disappeared [b]"oh yea i forgot, the dragon's power, now that my dragon's gone now how will i cope, but now it's my turn"[/b] Silver drew a card and put it amongst the 6 he had in his hand when card of sanctity was activated
[b]"excellent, i have the card i need to get rid of that dragon, but first i need the right set up. first of all i summon Legacy Hero Spark Dude"[/b] and just like that sparks emerged and a hero came onto the battlefield
[b]"...and now i'll activate this it's called Super Polymerization, now by ditching one card i get to fuse one monster i control with a monster you control and you know what that means i fuse my Spark Dude with your Dragon, and now i can Fusion summon Legacy Hero Shine Dude"[/b] a burst of light emerged from Silver's duel disk and when the light cleared a hero of light came onto the battlefield [color="#800080"][b]"did he just get rid of that dragon of Alex's"[/b][/color] the mystery guy silver had defeated said when he arrived in the arena
[b]"as a precaution Discarded warrior attack"[/b] the boney warrior charged towards Alex [b]"and now my hero attack him too"[/b] a beam of light was fired towards Alex...

Then I activate "Mirror Force" and then chain it with 'Solarius Anger.' This card is especially for a situation when you use my Solarius Dragon. If it was used as a tribute or moved to your side of the Field, then you take damage equal to half Solarius's ATK (1750). But since you used it as a material monster, you take damage equal to the ATK of another material monster used in the summon. That means you take damage equal to Spark Dudes ATK (1650). That leaves you with [2500-1650=850] 850 Life Points. I then chain those with my final card, 'Chain selection.' I can activate it with a chain link 2 or higher. I can choose one card in my Deck as long as it is Level 4 or under. I choose The Legendary Summoner! Now Solarius goes back to my Extra Deck!"

This allows me to Special Summon a single Elemental Egg. Synchro Summon once more! Show yourself again! LEGENDARY ELEMENTAL DRAGON: SOLARIUS!"
The golden dragon reappeared on Alex's side of the Field.
"Finish it" Alex said bluntly.
The white fire bursted once more and hit Silver, reducing his Life Points to 0.
"Well done! But I win!"

Silver's facedowns disappeared [b]"Noooooooo! how could i lose, i could've saved myself but my Kuriboh's effect couldn't activate because of his dragon, now i'll never get into the academy, i let my family down, congrats on winning Alex"[/b] Silver left the arena shedding a tear [b]"Kuriboh we done our best but it wasn't enough i can't see ourselves getting in now"[/b] Silver was approaching the entrance of the academy looking back.
