I don't know why you chose to destroy Royal Decree though, unless you have some trap card to destroy either Vanity's Ruler, Sky Scourge Invici or both of them. Personally I would have chosen Vanity's Ruler to unlock my Malefics for use."

Isaac examined the field, then took a look at his hand. "I'm setting one card from my hand face-down." Isaac took a card from his hand and placed it in his Spell and Trap card zone. "Im down to half of my lifepoints and you've been virtually untouched. You continue to lock down most...of my cards, will i be able to get out of this?" Isaac was wearing his usual grin, his eyes glowing with a hint of madness. "Fortunately, Invicil also keeps your Spells on lock-down. Remember, when Naturia Beans is selected as an attack target, you take five-hundred points of damage. I am going to end my turn now. Your move."

"It's my turn then, Draw. It is rather ironic, when the spells are negated, is when I get my Field Spell finally. I can still destroy yours by activating mine though, it will just be negated on the field, so I activate the field spell, Malefic World." Darren watched as the currently ghostly and chaotic garden around them vanished and was replaced by a wierd, almost reverse colour scheme before the reversed colour scheme turned ghostly as well, the negating effect of Sky Scourge Invici working on the new field spell now. "I know I will take effect damage if I attack your Naturia Beans, but I will pay that price twice to attack it first with Sky Scourge Invici, and then to destroy it with Vanity's Ruler, and remember, my face down cards are possible unlocked again, if they are trap cards,and are able to be used again, if you are going to try to use some trap card."

Alyssa sat in the stands in the Solar Duel Academy hall, stroking her deck thoughtfully as she watched the enterance duel going on. Data Monsters vs Elemental Dragons. Interesting...... She sighed softly. She remembered being challenged by the proctor on HER enterance exam. Damn that had been horrible. The entire battle one sided. Alyssa rifled through her deck and pulled out her favorite card, Junk Warrior. She gave a small smile. That card was the only reason she still sat in Duel Academy uniform. Junk Synchron too. Without that guy, Junk Warrior would've never been played. Her eyes glistned for a moment but she shook her head, and focused on the duel once more.

Leon was watching over some of the duels, not entirely interested since he'd missed most of them. He began looking through his cards, making sure he hadn't forgot any. Nope, everything was in check, but he couldn't help but feel that maybe he wasn't as good as he thought he was.

He looked down and saw Alyssa looking at her cards. He decided he'd go and see her, out of curiosity.

He walked down to the row of seats behind her, without her noticing, and looked over her shoulder at her cards.

[i]"Hey, those are some pretty nice cards you got there. How'd you do in the entrance exam?"[/i] He said in a cheerful voice.

Alyssa jumped. Almost literally. She glanced at the guy who had, to her, appeared from thin air. He posed the question;
"How'd you do in the entrance exam?"
Alyssa smiled. "I didn't do my enterance exam." She replied. "Not today, at least. I did mine last year, when I came. I only came today to see how the newer duelists are doing."
She turned to look at him properly. "Are you here for the enterance exam?" She asked. "And what's your deck?"

[i]"Ah, I see. Well, I'm not doing an entrance exam."[/i] Leon said, realising it was probably an odd thing to say.

He elaborated [i]"See, I'm here because I want to help some of the weaker duelists, I'm not interested in what dorm they put me in, so I didn't bother having an entrance exam. I can leave whenever, I don't plan on graduating."[/i] He chuckled.

[i]"Anyway."[/i] He continued. [i]"I use Gunslingers, I doubt you'll have heard of them. They're kinda hard to explain, but basically they evolve through technology as they get stronger, going from guns to large machines. Make sense?"[/i]

Alyssa nodded.
[i]So he's just here to help the new duelists. That's new. Usually, the more talented ones leave the younger ones to get their butts kicked alone.[/I]
A small flash of confusion flashed across her face when he mentioned the deck Gunslingers, but cleared when he elaborated further.
"That's an interesting type of deck." She commented. "Better than my "found in the dump" deck anyway."

Leon chuckled. [i]"You look surprised. I understand, I'm... kinda weird I guess."[/i] He laughed a bit, then continued.

[i]"I wouldn't say you deck's worse than mine by any means. I bet you could probably stand a fair chance against me in a duel, besides you've been here for a year now, you've gotta be pretty decent, no?"[/i]

He smiled. [i]"Well, I gotta get going. I'm gonna have to find out where the heck I'm staying at some point, and I bet finding that out sooner's better than finding it out later. See ya later!"[/i] He walked away, giving a small wave.

He thought to himself [i]Heh, I kinda like that girl... She's definitely got more potential than she gives herself credit for.[/i]

Izo heaved a sigh as he looked up at the dragon before him.

[b]"Well that was careless,"[/b] he said aloud [b]"I never thought you'd have a Synchro Monster that powerful and now I've gone and let you summon it."[/b] He let out a low chuckle [b]"But still, I'm not done yet. My draw!"[/b]

He drew a card from his deck and placed it in his hand. He looked up at the dragon above him, a grin spreading across his face.

[b]"I can still fight back,"[/b] he said [b]"I summon Virtual Sniper in defense mode!"[/b]

Another of Izo's data monsters, this one with a massive rifle-esque weapon on the end of one arm and a red scouter over one eye emerged onto his field, crouching down.

[b]"Whenever a Normal Trap card is activated, my Virtual Sniper inflicts 500 points of damage to my opponent,"[/b] Izo explained [b]"Such as this one, my face down card Dust Tornado!"[/b]

A powerful whirlwind kicked up, threatening to destroy Alex's spell card.

[b]"Dust Tornado destroys one spell or trap card on my opponent's field,"[/b] he explained [b]"And then I can set a card from my hand. And you can guess what comes after that."[/b]

The whirlwind swept up the 'Monster Copy' card.

[b]"Virtual Sniper, take it away!"[/b] Izo ordered.

His monster obeyed, raising its weapon and firing a red laser at Alex, taking off another 500 points.

[b]"I'm hardly done,"[/b] Izo said [b]"I play my next face down card, Jar of Greed! And I hardly need to explain this one to you..."[/b] He said as he drew another card from his deck [b]"...But that's not what I'm aiming for. Or to be precise, what [i]He's[/i] aiming for!"[/b]

Virtual Sniper fired again, shaving off another 500 points.

[b]"I'll set one card and then end my turn,"[/b] he said [b]"And with your dragon unable to attack my monster again I guess there's only one other choice."[/b]

Silver watched on as Izo had made a slight comeback with his monster [b]"wow it looks like Izo is making a comeback, he must be a good duelist, i hope he keeps it up"[/b] "Horned Kuriboh" nodded, but couldn't stay for long as the power emanating from the dragon had an effect on him [b]"hmmm.... so the dragon's power has an effect on my duel spirit, i need to figure out why that is, but first...."[/b] He then gave out a smile, he then went on to say [b]"despite the dragons power, this duel is interesting, i can't wait to see who wins."[/b]

Alex sighed, but kept his cool.

[b]"Once per turn, if I take effect damage, I can remove from play my Solarius Dragon to negate the effect damage, and Special Summon 1 monster from either players Graveyard. I choose your Virtual Interceptor."[/b] Izo's very own monster appeared on Alex's side of the Field. [b]"I then activate Solar blessing. This lets my new monster attack twice per turn, but it will be removed from play at the End Phase instead of sent back to the Graveyard. Attack Virtual Sniper!"[/b]

The virtual interceptor attack virtual sniper in a wave of 0's and 1's. The virtual defender was blown into millions of data pieces which collected themselves in Izo's Graveyard.

[b]"Then, thanks to my Solar Blessing, Virtual Intereceptor attacks you directly!" [/b] Izo's Life Points dropped to 0 as Virtual Interceptor was covered in a golden aura of which the now removed from play Solarius Dragon could be seen.

Isaac watched as the monsters soon trampled over his Naturia Beans, of course, they did their work, finally putting a dent in Darren's life points. Isaac took the Naturia Beans card and placed it in his graveyard. "Nothing to activate this time." Isaac said quickly. He was then down to a total of 4 cards under his control, with only one card in his-hand and three-cards in his spell and trap card zone. Isaac looked at the single card in his hand. Oddly, it seemed to relax him despite the struggle he was currently in. "It's still your turn."

((OOC: Solarious only had 3500 ATK and I saw nothing to indicate an ATK increase. 3500 - 2200 = 1300, 4000 - 1300 = 2700. And I SWEAR he did not have the effect you just used before))

[i]Not good,[/i] Izo thought [i]If I use a trap card to defend my monster I'll get nailed due to Interceptor's effect. Oh well, guess I'll just have to grin and bear it.[/i]

He braced himself at Interceptor's attack hit him, reducing his life points to a sparce 500. He looked up again as his monster was enveloped by a gold aura and vanished.

[b]"Looks like I should've prepared better for this,"[/b] he said brightly [b]"Oh well, I suppose it's not really an exam if it doesn't challenge me."[/b]

He drew a card from his deck, grinning as he looked down at it.

[b]"I activate the Magic Card Foolish Burial,"[/b] he said calmly [b]"With this card, I can send a monster from my deck to my graveyard.[/b]" A card slid out of Izo's deck as he said this and he picked it up, sending it to his graveyard [b]"The card I sent is Virtual Hero, and by removing my Virtual Sniper and Virtual Blocker from the game, I can summon him to the field from the graveyard!"[/b]

A hurricane of 0s and 1s suddenly burst from Izo's graveyard, swirling about him.

[b]"I guess I should thank you for sending them to the graveyard,"[/b] he said brightly [b]"After all, if you didn't I wouldn't be able to do this. Rise my Virtual Hero!"[/b]

The data began to merge together, forming Izo's strongest monster yet, a data monster with a jet pack on his back and a rocket booster strapped to one arm.

[b]"Let's go down fighting,"[/b] Izo said [b]"Virtual Hero, attack directly with your Digital Fist!"[/b]

The jet pack upon the Virtual Hero's back fired into life and it shot forwards to deliver a powerful punch.

Virtual Hero struck Alex, who didn't flinch [1300]. In fact, he laughed.

[b]As my old gramps would say, low life points mean nothing! I draw! I activate pot of Greed! I am sure you are well aware of the effects of this card so I draw 2 cards. I set 2 cards and End my Phase at that![/b]

Alex set the cards and left the turn to Izo.

((I'm pretty sure he didn't, I don't remember it being there before. Also his effect is for when he battles a [i]non[/i]-LIGHT monster and Virtual Interceptor [i]is[/i] a LIGHT monster, so that effect doesn't activate.))

[i]Two face down cards,[/i] Izo smirked [i]Not the sort of thing to be taken lightly, however...[/i] He looked down at his own two cards [i]...Well I suppose there's no fun without the risk.[/i]

[b]"My draw!"[/b] He took a new card from his deck [b]"One way or the other, it's time for this duel to end, Virtual Hero attack him directly! Digital Fist!"[/b]

Izo's monster charged forwards again, raising his fist for another strike on Alex's life points.

Trap card activate a favourite of Yugi Muto, 'Magic Cyclinder' which revereses the damage straight to your Life Points, then just as a precaution, I chain link it with 'Rules are Rules'. This special card activates whenever I activate a Spell, Trap or monster effect. All my Traps, Spells or monster effects cannot be negated this turn. And that includes 'Rules are Rules'. Also, by paying half my Life Points, you cannot activate a Spell or Trap card! So I'm afraid there is nothing you can do to stop this!"[/b]

The Data Monster flew into a magic cyclinder and came out another pointing the other direction. It slammed right into Izo, dropping his Life Points to 0.

Silver gave a *sigh* when the duel was over as every card on the field de-materialized [b]"well i guess that is that then."[/b] a short moment after "Horned Kuriboh" came onto the scene with a happy look on his face [b]"now i guess we'll wait for the announcement for the next person to duel in their entrance exam."[/b] Whilst he was waiting he decided to reach for his deck [b]"i hope this deck is good enough for me to get into the solar academy, it hasn't let me down before, Kuriboh when it does get to our duel, are you gonna be ready for it?"[/b] "Horned Kuriboh" nodded as Silver waited anxiously for the announcement for the next duellist to take their entrance exam.

Nova was watching Issac's Duel in intrest. He did not appear to yet have any sort of strategy, with the only theme being plant-type monsters. He was making a interesting duel. In an odd way, there was some sort of plan to the duel. Issac still seemed extremely calm. With 3 cards on the field and 1 card in his hand, Issac was not doing well, but Nova knew that Issac was always full of surprises. Nova was over his loss, but would always harbour a grudge.

"Not for long though, because I now end my turn, but the same thing as at the end of last turn still stands, if I manage to draw a Malefic monster I can still summon him, even with my total lockdown broken, as I still have two high level monsters on the field." Darren smiled as he looked over the field, "You have three cards on the field, two of them face down, and the third only turns my monsters into plant type monsters, whatever way you look at it, I have the advantage."

Seaek gave a shout when he saw the Magic Cylinder about to reveal. He knew it was the end for Izo, the younger duelist. So when Alex had proclaimed the duel over, he started down the aisle to the field. Along the way, he pondered what his defense against the powerful deck Fudo had built would be, and more importantly, how he would win. So many choices, so little time. Running possible scenarios through his augmented brain at near light-speed, he came to a conclusion about what Alex's deck was, what Izo had done wrong, and the card and strategy he would use to win while showing all present not to mess with him.

Some of the students who had just passed their exams had heard Cross's comments and had decided to challenge him to a duel, in order to make the duel's go by faster Cross had decided to duel all of his opponents at once.

[color=red][b]Now I'll activate my face down Dark Assault, and with its effect I can half the attack of one monster I control and it gets to attack all of my opponents monsters and I'll choose my Necro Dragon - Undieing King reducing his current 9,800 attack down to 4900 and I'll have him attack your Scary Face Moth, followed by that annoying Dreaded Dragon Macroo, and finally I'll attack the Haughty Goblin.[/b][/color]

When the necro dragon attacked it let out a noxious gas from its mouth that surrounded to enemy monster then it used its teeth to light the gas and finally when the opponents life points reached zero they too were lit on fire.

"Ivy Shackles is exactly what i needed." Isaac grinned, moving his hand to the top of his deck. "Since your turn is now over, i'll draw." As Isaac said that, he added the top card of his deck to his hand. "This is one of my favorite monsters, if not my most favorite. It's a monster that can be Advanced Summoned (Tribute Summoned) by tributing any number of plant-type monsters on the field. During my turn, Ivy Shackles treats your monsters as plant-types. So i release your Vanity's Ruler and Invicil, to advanced summon my Sickle-Thorned Flower!" Isaac slapped his monster-card into the monster-card zone with a lot of enthusiasm. It's appearance would send Darren's monsters to the graveyard, even if it's summon was negated.

"Fine, summon your monster and see how far it gets you, because now Malefic world is reactivated and I can choose to get a Malefic monster instead of drawing now. Anyway, why don't you attack and see how far it gets you, go ahead, it won't hurt you, or will it." Darren stood back, impressed by Isaac's abilities even if he wasn't showing it. He looked around the hall, noticing that Nova was still watching the duel, but choosing to ignore him for now.

Isaac stepped forward on his right-leg. From the ground infront of him, roots and vines compiled untill two stem-like protrusions with buds all over them shot out of the ground. It soon bloomed into a flower with many long-bladed like sickles protruding as thorns. "There isan't much else i can do, with one card remaining in my hand, at least now your Vanity's Ruler is gone..." Isaac paused. "[i]He has two face downs, but if i wait now he can get any Malefic and destroy my flower.[/i]" He thought as he looked at Darren. "Sickle-Thorned Flower, attack the player directly! Mad Reaver!" Issac's monster sent it's long-body covered in sickles towards Darren, flinging it self at him.
