I want to talk about when pokemon really shone like the star it is. The Original. It was the greatest, and I like it because of the simple graphics and great theme song. That's why I like it. Schrödinger Posted April 12, 2011 Report Share Posted April 12, 2011 You mean Kanto? I remember when that ran on TV, I would beg and trade privileges just to see the opening. There was a sort of automatic attraction to it, and I couldn't get enough. Things got chaotic when they kept releasing new seasons and I never quite caught up. The fantasy world was really appealing to me, sort of a way to imagine something greater and more complex than individuals, yet still obtainable (Catching all the Pokemon). Also, the final achievement of seeing the conclusion to the quest felt like a real accomplishment, and something to be proud of.
