VoicesOfChaos
Lets look at the 2 entries. I had to add 2 additional card in the Extra Deck of the second Structure Deck. My entries: Structure Deck: Genex Upgrade New Cards:Name: R-Genex AntimatterUltra RareAttribute: DARKType: Machine/EffectLevel: 8ATK: 2700DEF: 1700Effect: When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 Level 1 or lower "Genex" Monster from your hand. Their origins are uncertain, but they are known for collaborating with other races to fight an stronger mutual threat. This behavior has allowed them to grow and to master their control over the Elements. With their huge searching capabilites, Genex are already powerful, but they still lack methods for reaching the field quickly in order to overwhelm the opponent. This Deck, however, introduces monsters that will aid the user with the Summon of numerous Genex monsters to then perform multiple Synchro Summons in a single turn. It is recommended to focus on mantaining "R-Genex Accelerator" on the field to further boost the speed of Genex, and this Deck includes many cards that will help with the Summon of such extraodinary card. You can get packs of Hidden Arsenal 3 and the upcoming Hidden Arsenal 4 to get into your hands the latest Genex Monsters, such as "Genex Ally Axel", "Vindikite R-Genex", copies of "Genex Ally Birdman" and "R-Genex Accelerator", and the powerful "Locomotion R-Genex" who will greatly aid this Deck. Other Genex Monsters from "The Shining Darkness" and "Duel Terminal 2", such as copies of "Genex Controller" and "Genex Searcher" will be handy as well. Also, you can combine this Deck with cards from "Structure Deck: Machina Mayhem" to pull devastating combos with the help of "Machina Fotress" and its personal searcher "Machina Gearframe". "R-Genex Antimatter" works particularly well with "Machina Fortress", as you can discard the former to Special Summon the latter, and then use the effect of "R-Genex Antimatter" to Special Summon yet another monster. Structure Deck: Mechanical Chaos New cards:Name: Mechaos Assault DragonUltra RareAttribute: DARKType: Machine/Fusion/EffectLevel: 8ATK: 3100DEF: 2400Effect: "Barrel Dragon" + "Cyber Dragon"A Fusion Summon of this card can only be conducted with the above Fusion Material Monsters. However, this monster alone has no longer the strengh to fight back the new races and alliances that have been appearing lately; so it has chosen to make an alliance as well, and with certain dragonic Machines which were designed long ago: the Gun Dragons. Together, they make use of the power of Chaos, the combination of LIGHT with DARK, and also they found ways to fuse with themselves to create a new set of destructive Fusions which are able to destroy threats even before they appear. "Structure Deck: Mechanical Chaos" is a Deck that literally combines LIGHT and DARK Machine-Type monsters, and it introduces the "Mechaos Dragon" monsters, which are Fusions between "Cyber Dragon" and the three different Gun Dragons. However, altough the Fusions are the novelty of this Deck, the key cards are both "Mechamorph Fusion" and "Fallen Cyber Dragon", as both cards will allow you to have field presence almost always and to perform a Fusion Summon again. The main card of this Deck, "Mechaos Assault Dragon" grants you the chance of negating any Special Summon that your opponent may perform, and in conjuction with "Second Coin Toss" the chances are increased greatly. On the other hand, "Mechaos Shrapnel Dragon" has the potential of clearing your opponent's field by itself. Now that "Cyber Dragon" can fuse with 3 more different monsters, you will most likely draw the required Fusion Materials for a Fusion Summon at the start of every Duel. "Chaos Sorcerer" is a great addition to the Deck as you will have the materials required for its Special Summon most of the Time. You can improve this Deck by adding the rest of the Cyber Dragon Fusion Monsters: "Cyber End Dragon" and "Chimeratech Fortresss Dragon". You can also add "King of the Swamp", "Elemental Hero Prisma" and "Hex-Sealed Fusions", which can ease your Fusion Summons by substituting Fusion Materials. Adding "Black Salvo" will allow you to include powerful Synchro Monsters in this Deck. "Shining Angel" will allow you to Summon faster the weaker versions of "Cyber Dragon", which you can use to perform Fusion Summons. "Terraforming" and more copies or "Mechamorph Fusion" are recommended as well because you will want to Fusion Summon as soon as possible. "De-Fusion" is an interesting Quick-Play Spell Card that can allow you to save your Fusion Monster from its destruction, use the effects of the Gun Dragons used as Fusion Materials or perform additional attacks with the Fusion Materials during the Battle Phase. Finally, "Paradox Fusion" is a great Counter Trap Card that stops almost anything at the cost of field presence, but only for a few turns, so this card has the potential of turning the tables during the Duel. Genex is a deck that I can never seem to make work right, the new cards you made very helpful to them. As well the decklist and description are all very good. Now the Mechanical Chaos deck seems a bit powerful. Some of the effects seem to resemble Arcana Force monsters more so then the original Gun Dragons. Also Fallen Cyber Dragon seems way too broken. The description and decklist (despite only suppose to have 3 extra deck cards total) are not bad but the new archtypes seems a little too ambitious. My Submission!!B.E.S. Core Description[spoiler=B.E.S. Core Description]The B.E.S. armada has begun its move once more with their new leader B.E.S. Rush Core. Their powers have increased exponentially and have now set forth for to build a galactic empire from which no one will escape from. Their conquest to build the perfect ship will soon be over when they deplete the resources of all the planets they inhabit, becoming the most powerful entity the universe has ever known. Even the legendary Gradius fleet shall be crushed under the power of this new galactic overlord. B.E.S. monsters are hardy against attacks, their shield fueled by their powerful cores. Use this advantage in battle, especially with B.E.S. Covered Core as there is a chance that it’s shields will not be knocked down. All your monsters could use a little maintenance so use the new Core Repair Unit spell card to keep your monster’s shields up-to-date. Another valuable addition to the B.E.S. fleet, B.E.S. Dark Core Magnum makes it easy for it to Summon almost any big B.E.S. monster in your hand by offering itself as a tribute, use it to get Big Core or activate Boss Rush and then send that card to the graveyard to summon the newest overlord B.E.S. Rush Core who can Special Summon strong monsters without inhibiting your ability to Normal Summon and back Rush Core’s effect with Burial From a Different Dimension, to keep yourself with a good supply or resources to use. To keep your monsters safe, use cards like Trap Stun, Dust Tornado and Giant Trunade to remove any pesky Spells or Traps and go in for the kill. Buy packs like the Cybernetic Revolution to get cards like the famous Cyber Dragon, second copies of B.E.S. Crystal Core and Gyroid. Because this is a Machine-Type deck, getting fusion monsters that revolve around Machines such as Chimeratech Fortress Dragon can be obtained from the Black-Winged Dragon tin. Cards like Solidarity from the Structure Deck: Machina Mayhem that also contains other Machine-Type monsters for your Deck. Also, buy copies of this structure deck to get those extra copies of your favorite B.E.S. monsters, spell cards and more! New Gradius Cards[spoiler=New Gradius Fleet Cards]1.) Sonic Tokens cannot be used for the Summon of a monster. (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. The famed ship is back with his fleet, some new upgrades, and new teammates to protect the universe from this new threat. With new ships, pilots and battle tactics, the Gradius fleet is ready to wage war on the B.E.S. lords and bring back peace to the planets once more. The Gradius monsters are all fairly weak in their ATK, so use cards like Rush Recklessly, Shrink, and Forbidden Lance to decrease the ATK of any monster that dares battle with your monsters. Don’t forget about the new monsters, Sonic Burster, Shield Speeder MT-2, and Talon Fighter. Each of these new monsters are Union Monsters that are also treated as Tuner Monsters! With these new options, you’ll be able to maneuver through almost any situation that comes at your way. Not only that, but this deck makes it easy to summon the new ace monster, Prime Gradius which can’t be destroyed by battle and bumps in an additional effect when it destroys a monster by battle! Lastly you have cards like Honest, that can help your monsters survive unprecedented attacks, or Ojama Trio, that can be combined with the effect of Sonic Burster to lock your opponent from Summoning anything! And if you need to recycle or summon your cards, take advantage of Shining Angel and DUCKER Mobile Cannon, both which can get almost any monster from your Deck or Graveyard back to your hand. Buy the new Machina Mayhem Structure deck to combine powerful cards such as Machina Gearframe and several Machina Union monsters for powerful comboes. Buy the Cybernetic Revolution packs to get cards like the famous Cyber Dragon to overwhelm your opponent. Because this is a pure LIGHT deck, you can use cards like Battle of the Elements from the Ancient Prophecy packs or Gozen Match from the Crossroads of Chaos packs, which will help you in many duels. Both of these archtypes are hard to work with due to the limited amount of cards based around directly supporting but you did a really good job. I was almost hoping for the anime-only card "Shield Recovery" but Core Repair Unit is a more effective version of it. As well the Solar Dragon Core is very flavorful and a nice addition. The Gradius cards are effective too at combining old and new strategies by using synchros as well as monsters that are both union and tuner. The card list has some flaws sadly such as "B.E.S. Powered Core Magnum" and "B.E.S.Dark Core Magnum", one appears as new cards and one appears in the decklist. Not sure which name you finally decided on. The bigger problem is that only 1 copy of the new cards should be in the deck list, would encourage people to buy multiple copies of the pack. But only minor problems plus the descriptions were really good too! ----------------------------------------------------- 1st: Place: Cody Frost2nd place: Frex I will be renewing Retrain that Vanillia! I hope to do other big contests in the future but I've learned some lessons from this so hopefully next time I can get more entries.
Dwarven King
I would like to apologize for not getting my entry in. Though after looking at the two entries you did receive, I would have failed miserably. By the way, my two archtypes were going to be "Ancient Gear" and anything Dinosaur related. I was still researching the second one. :< Either way, good job on the two entrants! You guys did great! :D
