Kurow looked out towards the ocean, leaning on the railing at the edge of Nuvema Town. His Cyndaquill gave a happy squeak, resting on his shoulder. "A new adventure already, eh boy?" He said to his Pokemon. Many trainers had gathered in Nuvema, as the Juniper Pokemon lab was located here. This was the place where all new trainers would receive their Pokedex, and begin a journey across the region. Kurow gave a small sigh. "It might not be as pretty as Undella Bay, but I like it." Kurow said to himself. He stood up, and turned around. "Well, I guess we should get going, eh boy?" He asked his Cyndaquill. The Pokemon gave a nod, and its back gave a small burst of fire.

Zexion stood on the Bamboo Flute, looking so light he looked as if he was actually giving no trouble to the Bamboo. "Exodia, keep going. Your treat comes at the end of the ride." He played the flute while sitting on Exodia. The Music flowed through the Region, the Flute longer than the crafter. "My flute. It has been with me for much time. The Pokemon have power. Power unparalleled. Power I don't fight. Power I let flow. Defeat comes rare in this. My flute will flow through the region, in spirit and body, throughout time. That, is certain."

"Ahh!" screamed Kyle, holding his throat. He started to choke on pancake because he was eating way too fast. Obviously, it was an exciting day. He was going to get his first Pokemon! And he knew who he was going to pick: Mizu, a local Oshawott who he personally had taken care of. Strugling to swallow, he quickly finished his breakfest and got up from the table. His parents had already wished him goodbye, and he was to have breakfest, then start his journey. Looking around, he picked up his backpack that he had packed last night, and put it on his back. He looked around the house one last time, and he slowly walked out of the house and into the outside world.

Kyle quickly ran through Nuvema Town, remembering where the Professor's lab is. She remembered Mizu, and how he had specifically told the Professor that he wanted Mizu personally. And he remembered how she was too reserve Mizu for him because of his volunteering at the lab. Kyle ran past the ocean until he saw a boy with a mouse on his shoulders. Stopping, he looked at it. It didn't look like any Pokemon he knew in Unova. "What kind of Pokemon is that? Is it a Pokemon from another region?" he kindly asked.

"Hmm?" Kurow turned toasted the kid who had spoken. "What, this dude?" Kurow asked, nudging his head towards his Cyndaquill. "This here's a Cyndaquill, who comes from the Johto region." Kurow explained, as the mouse gave off a small spark. "So, dude, what's your story?" Kurow asked. "I mean, have you always lived here, or do you come from somewhere else? I live over in Undella town, along the far side of Unova. It's just up the road from White Forest and Black City." Kurow said. "It's not the most popular place, but it's a nice place." Kurow continued. "Ah, I'm forgetting my manners." Kurow said, pulling out his flute. He pointed it at Kyle. "Kurow's the name, having a good time's my game." Kudos said with slight enthusiasm. "So, what's your name?"

Yoko sighed in reliefe as she was finally off of the boat. It was a long ride from SunnyShore to Nuvema city. The young girl looked around, her light purple hair flinging from side to side and her eyes darting all over the place. It was apparent she was looking for someone, but who ever it was wasn't there. She waited for about ten minutes before there was a loud 'Clunk' sound right in front of her, which was the sound of the skateboard that was once tucked up under her arm hitting the ground. With yet another sigh - though this one in disappointment - she placed a boot cladded foot onto the skateboard, and pushed off with the other foot to start moving. Her hands were stuffed into her black, hooded panda bear looking jacket. As she was picking up speed her skirt lifted up, however black shorts were seen undernieth them. With no where else to go she decided to head to Professor Juniper's pokemon lab to get her starter pokemon. Thanks to her brother - the person she was waiting for - telling her not to get one before coming over she was pokemonless. The young girl closed her bright blue eyes as she leaned her body to turn a corner. "You better have a good reason for being late Kain."

Meanwhile, about four miles away a fairly tall, blue hair and blue eye'd boy was waving slightly to two young boys as they walked away grinning widely over a piece of paper in their hands. Once the two boys were out of sight, the older boy sighed and dropped his hand. This boy seemed to bear a resemblance to the girl not five miles away, so it made sense to identify him as Kain. Though if that didn't give him away, the fact that was one of the Elite 4 would. "Great, now I'm late." Kain groaned glancing at the watch on his wrist. When the two boys came up asking for an autograph he couldn't say no. He usually gave the impression of the quiet, cool, bad boy, but not even he could turn down two little kids. Kain looked at his right shoulder to see a small electric mouse pokemon, easily identifiable as a Pichu. "Yoko is going to be mad. Hopefully she's still at the harbor." Pichu only nodded giving a happy, "Pi! Pi! Chu!"

The sun was beating down on Aaron, a boy from Pallet Town, standing on the exit ramp of the ship, inhaled the air then exhaled loudly looking down at his Munchlax. "Smell that Munchlax?" Munchlax did the same thing, looked up, and shrugged. "It's the smell of a new beginning with you, me and the world that stands in front of us." He started walking down the ramp while keeping his sight on the Pokemon that was around the shipyard. Once he got off, he took out his map finding the path that lead to Juniper's Lab, after he found where he was, Aaron and Munchlax started off towards the lab still taking in the sights like a blonde guy, with a Cyndaquill on his shoulder, leaning on a rail talking to a swimmer and some person riding a skateboard towards the direction he was going. A shadow, no bigger than the size of his index finger, passed over his map. He looked up, but couldn't see anything due to the bright sun shining in his face. "Stupid sun. Thanks to you, I couldn't catch that thing that passed in front. Dang, it must of been really big or just some Pidove or a Pidgey." Ignoring the shadow, for now, he continued towards the lab, ready for what lies ahead.

"My name? It's Kyle. I've always lived in Nuvema Town. I'm going to get an Oshawott at the lab right now." he said, still looking at the Cyndaquil. It was always a rare sight to see a Pokemon not native to Unova. And It was a starter pokemon too, no doubt. Kurow seemed like a nice person. "So do you need to go to the lab? That's where I'm going. The Professor always helps new trainers," said Kyle. Then, he turned around, pointing at a rather tall building about three minutes away. He also saw a man with another kind of Pokemon. "What is that?" he muttered as the Munchlax walked with the man. Turning around, he said, "So, Undella Town? I heard the bay is a great sight," said Kyle. Then, he looked at the lab again.

Zexion stopped in Nuvema Town, as a crowd of boys were gathering, obviously one was getting a Pokemon. He returned Exodia, and walked to the boys. "Hello. I'm Zexion Alan Rioku, Number 4 of the Elite Four. I noticed you were starting your journey, and I wanted to give you a kickstart on the Region. It's been a While since I started my own journey, and ended it where I am now. And I just love seeing the first moments of everything." He played his 6 foot long Flute. "I haven't seen Juniper in a year. The others see her more often. It's probably because I travel a bunch and oversee the region."

Zach looked at the map in his hands. "So... should we head to Juniper's lab, Ninjask?", he said to his... Ninjask, who was currently perched on Zach's head. Ninjask buzzed irritably. "I guess some breakfast first, huh?" Zeke replied. He stuffed the map into his backpack, a simple black-and-grey one, and looked around. "So... where should we go?" He then noticed a large crowd of people gathering a bit to his left. "Let's go ask one of them." He strode towards the group.

Sigriour was already in some disgust as she got off the ferry. She spoke English as a second language, and in a place where that very same language was the predominant one, things were bound to be a little bit tricky. No, not a little bit - much too tricky.

Anyone who saw her from a distance could easily be forgiven for thinking she was holding onto a baby in her arms - in truth, it was a sleeping Cubchoo. The biggest give-away was perhaps the fact that there was a long trail of snot coming out of its nose, and as it breathed, the snot kept moving up and down. It was almost cartoon-like, yet there was a degree of cuteness about it. Cubchoo would have stayed inside its Pokeball, but it prefered the warmth and love of a mother, and while Sigriour wasn't the biological parent, she was certainly a parent in his eyes.

Being alone was bound to cause problems, the most pressing of which was where the Juniper Lab was. She had a vague idea of where to go - she needed a Pokedex, after all - but she had no specific directions. Everybody who was disembarking from the ferry was barely paying her any attention; if she had been a bit taller, then she might have had more luck. It was unfair to say that Sigriour wasn't prepared for this turn of events, and she knew she would have to find someone, and not vice versa. As it happened, she saw Kyle and Kurow, and decided that she may as well ask them. They certainly looked approachable.

"Excuse me," she said. Her accent probably wasn't very helpful (it certainly made her vowels, which wasn't used to pronouncing, sound like they were drunk, compared to how sober her consonants were), but nonetheless, she continued. "Eh ... I am looking for, er ... the ... Ju ... niper - is that how you say it? - Lab. Are you, er ... erm ..." She was waving her hand, and there was a gleam in her eyes that hoped they understood what she was trying to say. "Erm ... erm ... going to his place ... as well? Or are you ... erm ... eh ... do you ... er ... know the, er, dire ... direc ... directions?"

OoC: TWELVE FOOT LONG FLUTE WHAT
HOW ARE YOU CARRYING THAT AROUND
LENGTH LIKE THAT THAT DOES NOT EVEN HAPPEN MOST OF THE TIME

IC:

The Steel Grail. The Memory Chain. The Dream Gauntlet. The Temporal Bell. The Molten Necklace. The Blizzard Crest. The Growth Armlet.

These fateful words would be Leona's life for the next several months. Maybe even a year -- or more. It was best, she thought, to familiarize herself with them.

First of all, elements -- metal, earth, wood, water, fire, water, wood. Mainly wood and water, growth elements -- they outweighed the destructive fire and metal significantly, though the set was small. Should that influence her strategy to acquire them? That had yet to be seen. Should that influence her training to acquire them? It couldn't hurt.

The second problem, a considerably more irritating one, was that the Elite Four threatened to get in her way. They'd been out to destroy Anima for a while, though they still didn't know exactly what Anima was after, or that Anima knew what Anima was after. Even so, they threatened to be very annoying indeed. She'd need someone to test the waters.

She produced a comm device from her jacket -- like a cell phone, but working on secure frequencies. She scrolled through the various contacts for a moment until she reached the name she was after.

"Caroline?"

"Yes'm?" Her loyal commissioner was on the other end of the line.

"Put some grunts out after Zexion."

"Er... what? I'm sorry, but..."

"It will mainly be a test of his abilities," she explained. "You may as well send a fairly good team. Make sure they can pull out easily; I don't want to lose any manpower. Oh, and tell them we're after his giant flute. If you can deceive your allies..."

"Understood. I believe I have just the team for the job."

"Excellent. Dismissed."

"Yes'm."

"Undella's nice enough. S'not the most popular place, but I like it." Kurow said to Kyle, before another person showed up. This person held onto an abnormally long flute. Kurow's first reaction was not to the introduction of an Elite Four member, but to the flute he was carrying. "Duuuude! Where'd you get a thing like that?" He asked enthusiastically. Just then, another person showed up, a woman, carrying a small Pokemon. "The Juniper Lab? Yeah, it's right over there." Kurow said, pointing over in the direction of the lab. Kurow then turned back to the Elite Four member. "Sorry 'bout that, dude. So you're one of the Elite Four? I look forward to fighting you, then." Kurow said. He pulled out his own flute again. "And dude, we gotta jam together sometime."
I was thinking the maximum height of Bamboo(I'm 12, Sue me.), but I must've been thinking wrong. Zexion's flute would stick out from his carrying and it's also for the Mid-Air Playing. I shortened it; tell me what is the maximum height for it. And I gave Zexion prior knowledge to their plans. How wouldn't he know?
Zexion nodded. "Well, i've been scouting Unova for some team called Team Anima. But, more importantly, I came to see some Journeys be born. Been a while since i've seen Aurea. That is Professor Juniper's first name. I remember when I first met her five years ago, when I was dropped off in this town to begin my journey." He pulled out a Pokeball, a Dusk Ball. "Go Christian!" He throws out the Pokeball. It falls on the ground. Shakes emit from the Pokeball, and it jumped right in front of them, bouncing off of Kurow's nose, and releasing an Abomasnow. "That, is called a custom Entrance."

Almost close to the lab, Aaron felt a slight shaking from the ground that made him stop. He looked around wondering what made that shake, then his sight caught a big white Pokemon with pine green arms, an Abomasnow. He started to jogged over to the almost leaving Munchlax behind. "Oops. Munchlax come on." The closer he got, he noticed that the Pokemon was where to the blonde guy and the swimmer was, now with someone new. "That's a cool Pokemon." Aaron said, with the eyes fixed on the Abomasnow, flabbergasted.

Yoko was easily weaving around the people walking on the sidewalk, a frown seemingly stuck on her face. Her first day in the Unova region and she's bummed out because her brother is no where to be seen. She had to stop a few times to get directions to Juniper's lab - she only knew the general direction - though it didn't really bother her. The young soon-to-be trainer was in her own little world when a large rumbling caught her off guard, causing her to fall face forward into the ground with a small shriek of surprise. "Ah...What the hell?" Yoko went to stand up, but whinced at the pain in her knee; she scraped it pretty bad. "Just my luck." She mumbled, picking up her slowly rolling skateboard.

Large blue eyes scowered the area to find a possible source of the rumbling and she was surprised to see a large, white pokemon, with green arms, and feet, just across the street. There was four green spikes on it's back - almost looked like miniture mountains - and bushy eyebrows that stuck out. Kind of like antennas. It was the dual, grass and ice pokemon; Abomansnow. The people around the pokemon didn't look familiar at all - Except for one. It was a boy that looked roughly around the same age as her, and holding a bamboo flute - it was hard to miss it. That was Zexion one of the Elite 4 members. If she was lucky maybe he knew where Kain was. "Might as well, I don't have anything to lose." She'd just clean up her knee later, it didn't hurt much anyway. Yoko quickly looked both ways before jumping on her skateboard, and crossing the street over tot he group of people. When she got close enough to Zexion, she stopped and tapped him on the shoulder. "Excuse me, but you wouldn't happen to be Zexion of the Elite 4 would you?"

Meanwhile, now only 2 miles away, Kain was walking slowly with the excited Pichu running next by him. The small pokemon would run circles around Kain, before hopping back onto his should then back to te ground. Kain was almost becoming tired just looking at the energetic pokemon. He hoped Yoko would be able to keep up with Pichu. He fixed the light blue scarf - which matched his beautiful blue hair and eyes - around his neck, before stuffing his hands back into his pockets. He was heading to Professor Juniper's lab. If anything Yoko would be mad that she didn't have a starter so would be heading there to get one. It's the only logical solution.

"I saw him coming towards the lab while I flew. And to answer Question 1," He played a very describable note. "Yes, it's me, "The Bamboo Musician", Zexion Rioku. Just wait here, and for Pokemon number 2. Go, Coffin!" The Pokeball, a Ultra Ball, floated in Mid-Air, with moaning coming from the Pokeball. It darted right to Yoko's face, darted a few inches, about a foot, away and released a Cofagrigus. "Cofffffaaaggggrrigguss..." The Coffin murmured. "Did you know, that this Pokemon's Pre-Evolved Form used to be a Human. Not to freak you out. Hopefully, none of you become a Yamask."

Yoko was startled by the pokemon that suddenly darting in front of her face, but quickly regained her composure - At least she didn't scream like she was tempted to do. Once that was out of the way she was slightly confused on how he knew who she was looking for. Though she suppose her and her brother did look like each other an awful lot. And if her looks didn't give that away then her eyes would. Her and Kain's eyes were noticibly blue - it was her families most notible feature. "Well...Thank you for the information. Now could one of you direct me to Professor Juniper's lab? I am going the right way, yes?"

Kain wasn't too far away from the group. He had been makign good time by taking a few short cuts to Juniper's lab. Thanks to the short cuts he was about 5 maybe 10 minutes away from the group now.

Midna stood in the middle of the road, her eyes staring down at the map of Unova held outspread in her hands. Her eyes never blinked, focusing intently on the small dot labeled 'Nuvema Town'. A mid-sized, limbless eel-like Pokemon was wrapped lazily around her shoulders, peering at the paper with an expression serving as a mixture of hunger and fascination. Finally, the girl sighed.

"Whose idea was it to come all the way to this small, boring town and then give me a map that only tells me where cities are in relation to each other, and not how to actually navigate the stupid cities?" she asked aloud, folding up the map impatiently and stuffing it into a backpack pocket. "Ampere, don't you dare try to eat it again," she warned, noticing the shift of weight on her shoulders as the eel's gaze followed the map. "It took me forever to find the path after you bit off most of Route 6."

Shaking her head, she looked up and down the street. "You'd think with such a small town, it wouldn't be hard to find a laboratory."

Edmund stepped off the boat's exit ramp, then turned around to view the young girl hesitantly approaching the top of the ramp. He spoke to her encouragingly. "Come on. Just a few steps down and you can be off the boat, OK?" She edged forward, before finally sliding down as she got to the edge. She tumbled as she hit the bottom, and the air around her blurred as her illusion vanished, revealing a small, dark-furred fox-like Pokemon. Ed caught her as she reached him and lifted her up in both arms. "See, that wasn't so hard, was it?" The Pokemon closed her eyes and rested her head on his shoulder, glad to be with him. Ed smiled, then headed off to a nearby sign on the land end of the dock. It displayed a map of Nuvema, pointing out the only place of note within the small town: Professor Juniper's lab. Looking beyond, he saw the quaint little town, along with a growing crowd of people and Pokemon. The most notable thing about this crowd is what most of them were looking at: a huge Pokemon that Edmund had never seen before. He walked over, seeing many other Pokemon, including a Cofagrigus. Looking down before talking, he saw that Zorua had disguised herself again, this time as an Emolga. He gave a light smile, knowing how shy she could get. Looking back up, he spoke to the nearest trainer. "Quite the crowd here. What's going on?"

[OOC: The phrase 'nearest trainer' here means whoever feels like responding first. I'm too lazy to pick anyone :P]

Almost to the little group by the rail, the older man threw a pokeball in the air and a Pokemon, he had never seen before, came out at speeds that can almost easily beat an Arcanine in a race. He looked back to see if Munchlax was keeping. Munchlax was panting pretty hard for only running for about 30 feet, so Aaron stopped and picked up Munchlax. "What am I going to do with you?" Munchlax shrugged. Aaron sighed then opened up his backpack, "Jump in, but don't eat any of the snacks and don't zip up, I want to keep an eye on you." Munchlax nodded and got in with a sigh of relief, then got into a relaxing pose while Aaron walked the rest of the way to the group. Aaron tapped the shoulder of the man, "What a Pokemon. What is it?"

OoC: By "man" I mean Zexion.

Kurow turned to face a nearby trainer holding an Emonga. "Dude, check this." Kurowsaid, pointing a thumb over his shoulder, and at the crowd behind him. "This dude, Zexion, has this huge flute made of bamboo. Isn't that just, like, the most awesome thing you could think of?" Kurow said, grasping his own flute. He blew a few notes before speaking again. "He also says he's one of the Elite Four, but I wasn't really paying attention. So, dude, that's a pretty cool squirrel you got there." Kurow pointed out, now focusing on the Emonga. "But it's funny, cause all of those that I've seen like to stay in the air. S'yours hurt or somthing?" Kurow asked. The Cyndaquill gave the electric squirrel a long glance before looking out towards the ocean next to them. Kurow looked to his partner. "Heh, looks like my friend here took a liking to your squirrel." Kurow remarked, turning back to the trainer. "Y'know, I was supposed to get my Pokedex pretty soon, so what say we go get ours, then let's battle. Wouldn't you like that, boy?" Kurow asked his Pokemon and the trainer simultaneously.

Yoko was still waiting for one of the trainers in the little group to direct her to Professor Juniper's lab when she happened to look to her right and saw the very person she had been waiting for at the docks. "Well thanks for you help but I'll be going now." She said hopping back onto her skateboard and crossing the street again, coming to a quick stop right in front of her older brother, and Elite 4 member; Kain. Said male stopepd mid stride when the girl made the sudden stop in front of him. He almost groaned in annoyance. Yet another person wanting an autograph. He had to hurry up to Juniper's lab to met up with his sister. "You don't seem too happy to see me."

Kain raised an eyebrow at the girl, but took a closer look at her. Her voice was familiar and so was her face....No way! "Yoko?" The younger Shizune grinned stepping off of her skateboard. "In the flesh. It's sad you didn't recognize your own baby sister." Kain chuckled as Yoko hugged him. "Well you're not exactly a baby anymore. You've changed alot in those 3 years. You're taller." Yoko pouted smacking her brother in the arm playfully. "I don't find that funny at all."

"Pi! Pichu!"

The noise caused both Shizune's attention to fall on Kain's right shoulder. Yoko's eyes widened in surprise, "Is that...A pichu? You caught one!? That's so cool! Where did you find him? It's rare to find a pre-evolved pikachu." Yoko ranted practically gushing over the cute electric mouse pokemon. Kain smiled knowing that Yoko had been wanting a Pichu ever since she had saw a trainer with one back at Sunnyshore. It took him all of a month to actually find one, but it was worth it to see the look on her face. "When I heard you would be starting your own journey soon I had to get something for you, so I decided to find a pichu." Yoko looked at Kain in disbeliefe, "Are you saying that-" From her brother's smile she knew it was true, "Oh, thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" She exclaimed as the small Pichu jumped into her arms with a happy, "Chu!"

"I can't believe my starter pokemon is actually a Pichu!"

Kyle watched as most of the trainers gathered around, and Kyle's only thoughts were about the exotic Pokemon. Abomasnow, Cyndaquil, Munchlax? Woah! He suddenly felt jealous that he didn't have his own Pokemon...Wait! He did! He needed to get to the lab! He had spent way too much time here. Wait! He had a watch! Looking down, he saw that he had overexaggerated. He still had some time. Still, the early Pidove catches the Venipede (At least he thought that was what the expression was). "Hey guys, I'll be right back," he said to the group, then quickly ran through the street near the docks, and seeing a boy and a girl with a Pichu. Stopping, he looked at the Pichu. Another exotic Pokemon. "So, is this your starter? I was heading towards the lab which is right over there, and I saw your Pichu. Where'd you get it?" he asked, looking deeply at the Pichu.

Both Shizune's turned to the boy who suddenly ran up to them in slight surprise - though Yoko was more open with her surprise than Kain was. Seeing that he was interested in her Pichu Yoko smiled. "Actually I just got him. My brother Kain found him for me." The boy looked younger than she was, and looked to have a swimmer's build to him. Though the swm suit that he wore under his shorts, and the goggles kind of gave that away. Kain suddenly spoke up, "I found him in a forest when I traveled back to the Hoenn region." He said watching as Yoko hugged the Pichu closely. "You know if you're on your way to Professor Juniper's lab we could walk together. I still have to get my pokedex from her." It was apparent Yoko was in a much better mood now having found her brother and a wonderful starter Pokemon. "By the way my name is Yoko Shizune, and this is my brother Kain."

"My name is Kyle. It's nice to meet you, Yoko and Kain. Actually, I was on my way to Professor Juniper's lab too. I guess we can walk there together. I'm going to get an Oshawott named Mizu," said Kyle, looking at the lab across the street. It seemed as if he had already became there friends. Turning back to them, he said to Yoko, "Your brother must be really nice, giving you a Pichu and all," said Kyle, looking at the Pichu. Why did everyone have exotic Pokemon? Shrugging off the question, he looked back at Yoko and Kain. "So, I guess we should get going," he said, looking at the lab and starting to walk towards the labratory. Soon enough, they were at the lab, and he gripped the doorknob. His journey started when he opened the door...
