Pokemon: Keys of Anima! [OOC/Accepting/Started/Owned and Hosted by Zextra, Luxray and I]

Recommended Posts

I have a slight objection to the notion that some random person came out of nowhere, slipped past the three Anima members at the doorway with no difficulty, and joined in the situation. Not only is the situation packed enough as it is, but I feel the character's introduction is sloppy and poorly executed. It's like a Deus Ex Machina that hasn't actually been triggered.

But that may just be my opinion.

*Sigh*
If that's what you want to believe, evilfusion.

Implying that my criticism is invalid?

Then is there another explanation for how you introduced a character literally out of nowhere, that conveniently showed up at that point, somehow seemed to know precisely what was going on the moment he arrived, slipped past 3 thugs mere inches away from him with absolutely no difficulty, despite them explicitly being told to "keep on guard" due to police coming to the area, and joined a situation that does not require him in the slightest, since the lab has about a dozen or so characters there ALREADY?

I don't know how to believe anything other than it's a sloppy introduction at a poor timing. Ultimately, it makes no difference to me or my character, but I had hoped that the RP hosts would take more care to avoid weak storytelling conventions.

But hey, what do I know? It's not that I have any experience writing or RPing or anything like that. As one of the hosts, surely you must have some perfect explanation for the convenience of the situation that you're just not letting us know at this time.

As you were.

*Again, sigh*
I'm sorry. Last night, I was tired, frustrated, stressed, and running on two hours of sleep. Looking back on it, I agree with the two of you.
Once again, I'm sorry. It's just that I've had to run myself into the ground for the past few days...
I'll be changing it today, after I get some sleep.

Which begs the question: Do you even read other people's posts or do you skim them?

I find that in such cramped quarters, it's very easy for uncertainties to arise of whether someone addressed your character, or possibly, in cases the same character has about four people addressing them simultaneously and focused on one or two of them.

This is worse when people merely skim other posts, or are more focused on their own agenda that they don't take into account the smaller interactions.

I reread the posts after my 2nd to newest post and I had to redo my newest post, because UnownGuy was talking to me.
