Yugioh: Dimensional War’s [IC/Started/Always Accepting]

Recommended Posts

Almost by instinct, Alexander went to activate his Trap Card. However, all he could say was, "I activate the face-down card--" before we sensed a sharp look from none other than his own Wildheart. Immediately, Alexander hand froze in place. "Wildheart...?"

"I know that look...," Umbris said, a hint of melancholia in his voice. "... he doesn't want us to defend him...."

"... you're right," Alex muttered under his breath. "I'm... sorry, Wildheart...."

The Elemental Hero gave Alex a sad smile before charging toward Alcadeias's fist, showing that he wasn't going to let himself be destroyed without defending himself. The shockwave from Alcadeias's attack reverberated into an unflinching Alex, taking away a thousand Life Points.

"... this will not go unavenged, Kaiuke," Alexander said in a low voice. "This duel may be far from over... but I'm not about to hesitate any further. Next turn, you had better prepare for what's coming!"

"You don't understand." Zero began. He looked up to the bright, sunny sky. "This is a war. Do you think that anyone cares what happens in war?" Zero asked rhetorically. "No. Nobody cares what happens in war so long as they remain alive. If you truly want to stop the destruction, then you can't be thinking about your opponent. You can't be thinking about those who stand by your side. All you can do fight." He said, looking ahead once more. "...I've lived through 5 different wars in my life. This was the fourth of those five." He continued. Suddenly, a crack appeared on his left hand, mark still shining. "I've learned much in my time alive... Now, I shall return to my true self, and set the Timestream for one last forward evolution." Zero said. The crack exploded into shards of time, a bright light flashing once more. When the light faded, and the shards cleared, Zero was there, but looking like his old self. He looked young and youthful, his scarred and war-torn self broken away. He opened his eyes slowly. "...Hm. Well, Akarui?" Zero said. "It's your turn now."

Kaiuke raised an eyebrow when Alexander didn't activate his scarecrow card, or his other face down. At the very least they where equal on life points now and each had a fairly strong monster each.

"Unfortunately, I'm not done yet," Kaiuke continued "Alcadeias, prepare to attack again!"

Alcadeias obeyed, getting into a fighting stance once again.

"Alcadeias can only be summoned by sending 2 or more monsters I control to the graveyard," Kaiuke explained "And then Alcadeias can attack once for each monster I send there to summon him. I sent 3 monsters to the graveyard, meaning Alcadeias can attack two more times this turn. Additionally, for each monster sent Alcadeias can avoid destruction by battle once. Now then, Alcadeias attack his Ose Hallel! Second Impact!"

Alcadeias repeated his attack, forming an orb of energy in his palm which he then grabbed and charged towards Ose Hallel.

"My monster may be weaker but I have another trick up my sleeve, I play my face down card Even Ground!" Kaiuke raised his arm to indicate the trap that opened beside him, glowing briefly and surrounding Alcadeias in a white aura "When this card is activated I can select 1 monster I control, then whenever that monster battles another monster this turn his ATK becomes equal to his opponent's. In this case it's your Ose Hallel, meaning Alcadeias' ATK now becomes 2950!"

Trixie started slowly clapping, in a somewhat mocking manner. "Congratulations. You figured out that we do want your commander. However, you have been overthinking the situation. So far, we haven't harmed a single person. We have shown no violent intentions. We are only incurring a bit of property damage on objects that, if we succeed, will no longer exist. All I have done is talk with you, and you have perceived the organization I represent as a threat, something that must be destroyed, simply because we are telling you what you are doing is wrong. We have even offered you aid as compensation, yet you refuse that. The problem is is that this war will soon reach a point of no return, and we must stop this war from reaching that point. I am willing to show you the devastation your war is causing, if you like."

"This isn't my war," Akio gave a polite smile, "i'm a soldier. I fight because someone pays me. This has nothing to do with my beliefs or my ideals. Right now, since the commander isn't here, I'm the commander, and you can tell me anything you would tell him. I assure you, he's much more close minded than I am." Akio thought for a few moments, "And I won't buy that you did tell me everything you would have told him. You and I both know he's going to need a lot more than a visual aid to convince. You see, the commander and I have two very different views of life. I believe in a definitive future, one that can't change unless if the course itself is changed. I have no idea what he believes." Akio began to walk towards the portal, "Call in the strike force if you'd like, but any act against us will be seen as terrorism and we'll fight you to our full extent." Akio sighed, "I suggest you following me, actually. I feel that morally we're on the same side. I don't want this war to go on because, frankly, I hate the first dimension and would rather not take that kind of land or any of their resources. Right now I'm headed towards the commander, if I can find him." Akio grabbed his disk and deck and put it in a bag, "If you follow me you'll find him as soon as I do. Of course, that would mean you wouldn't be able to lead your terrorist group." Akio swung the bag over his shoulder. When he turned, he remembered that the portal had collapsed on itself.

"No big deal, I'll use a back up." Akio tapped the ground twice and dust began to clear. He pulled open a secret door leading towards a hidden underground portal. "Coming?" Akio jumped down.

Trixie got up with Akio. "Once again, you are assuming too much and jumping to conclusions too quickly. I am just an ambassador. I am not the one leading the strike force. In fact, if there is one person in our organization you do not want to meet, it is the leader of the strike force, who is our premier tactician and strategist. He is a wild card: an unpredictable warrior who is most at home in combat. The only way to gain his respect is to beat him in a 'fair' fight, meaning he doesn't use any handicaps, and considering that he usually uses handicaps, it's hard to gain his respect. By the way, the handicaps benefit his opponents, not him. He handicaps himself, and he still kicks ass."

"Three attacks?!" Alexander yelped.

"That means that, even if you use Scrap-Iron Scarecrow to block Alcadeias's next attack," said the analytical Umbris, "he still has one more to finish off Ose Hallel. Of course, that would be preferable compared to not having something to block all of his attacks. If you don't activate the Scarecrow during these next two attacks--or worse, can't--then you'll lose the rest of your Life Points this turn."

"That means I'd better start now! I activate the Trap Card Scrap-Iron Scarecrow!" Alexander called out as the scrap-iron sculpture appeared in front of the angelic leopard, prepared to intercept Alcadeias' strike.

"How lovely. Well, maybe he'll reignite my passion for dueling. Probably not, though." Akio continued walking until he stepped infront of the portal. "The commander should be on the other side of this. Take quick note, ambassador, because you'll probably be destroying this the second we get out." Akio walked through the portal and took a look at the dimension on the other side. "Disgusting," he growled as he looked behind him, "all clear from this end." The portal was set up inside of a bar that was secretly controlled by second dimension soldiers. The bar has such high standards as to who can come in, once someone does come in they pay no mind to anything but their happiness. It was the perfect strategy, hiding in plain site, and has worked countless times. Akio knocked on the wall twice to signol that he had company, and the man ordered up two drinks. They were straight shots of vodka. "Do you drink?" Akio took the shot class and drank it, "I don't much. But I have a feeling it's going to be a long day. Mightaswell forget it."

A grin crossed Kaiuke's face as Alexander played his scarecrow card, blocking Alcadeias' second attack.

"A nice move, but Alcadeias still has one more attack to go," he said "Alcadeias attack! Third Impact!"

Alcadeias entered his fighting stance once more, forming the orb of energy in his palm before his hand was balled into a fist. He rose up into the air and kicked off, heading towards Ose Hallel and throwing his fist forwards with a loud grunt.

"And remember, thanks to Even Ground, during this turn Alcadeias' ATK becomes equal to your monster's ATK," Kaiuke explained "And since Alcadeias can't be destroyed in battle you can say goodbye to your Synchro Monster."

Unless he has something else up his sleeve, Kaiuke thought If I lose Alcadeias I'll be a sitting duck during his next turn.
