Anyone know how to use Game maker 8 lite?

Recommended Posts

Are you sure you want to jump into such an advanced project when you're basically a GM8 virgin? It's difficult to make a game of that standard with any Game Maker software, especially Lite. xD

Downloading Game Maker 8 now though... I didn't know they released a new one. 8D

Gotta agree with ADHD. Simple projects are the way forward.
That, and GMLite isn't really what you want to use... can't code anything except by drag & drop, iirc.

If you're doing to say you can't buy the full version. C++ compilers are free. It's more difficult to learn, but it's got real-world applications in professional projects, will make your games run faster, and doesn't really have any limits on it. I could help you get started on that, but a Pokemon game from day 1 would really be too ambitious.

Eh, no. The full version just gives extra features. You can use scripting/coding in the Lite version, you just gotta open the File tab and click advanced.
