[i][font="Lucida Console"][b]Name:[/b] It feels very weird admitting this but ever since I woke up here, my name has been a blur, in fact, almost all of my memories are either blurry or gone, only a few snippets here and there remain.
Among a few things, I can only remember the word Lazaruz, it feels important and somehow familiar to me so I´ve taken it as a new temporary name in order to try and keep the Collective away from me.[/font][/i]
[font="Lucida Console"][i][b]Appearance:[/b] Describing me was never a strong side of mine so I´ll attach a photo along with some notes.[/font][/i]

[i][font="Lucida Console"]I´m about 6 feet and 2 inches tall and have a rather lean build, as you probably can see.
My eyes are dark red with slitted pupils, kind of like those of a snake[/font][/i][/spoiler]

[font="Lucida Console"][i][b]Personality:[/b] Personally, I would describe my personality as rather care-free and eccentric but with a dark twist.
It´s not often that I allow things to trouble me that much and I rarely take things that seriously.
But when things call for it, such as this, I know when to get serious.
I deeply care for those close to me, be it a friend, family (if I have any) etc. but will not think twice about eliminating others who would stand in my way.
In battle, I enjoy playing with opponents before killing them.

[b]Identity/Memoire:[/b] As I mentioned previously, my memories of my real life are very few, far apart and incomplete to say the least, but there are however a few things that I do remember and have with me in this strange world.

The first thing is a battered, old journal made out of black leather.
A few of the pages consists of writing in an ancient language that I do not understand.
The rest are either blurred or blank.
On the back of the journal is a golden, ornate mark, mostly showing two skeletal wings.

My second thing is my sword.
A katana with dark-red handle that I keep in a black leather hilt that hangs around my right hip.
As you might have guessed by that, yes, I´m left-handed

[b]Ability:[/b] I don´t know if this is something that I gained while in this world or the real one, which is odd judging by the fact that these details are my most clear memories.
I can manipulate and store a special kind of life-energy called Mana, forcing it to manifest as red letters in an ancient language similar to that in my journal, therefore, I´m unable to know what it says, only that what is written depends on how angry I am and the angrier I get, the more powerful it is.
The letters usually swirl around me for about a split second before exploding and firing a burst of red energy towards my target that explodes upon impact, usually leaving imprints of the letters if it hits non-organic material.
The energy burst is however not as powerful as you may think and the average strength would probably best compare to that of a fireball.
I´ve chosen to call this ability Zaiphon.

Alongside my previously mentioned ability, I appear to have increased regenerative properties.
That means I can survive and recover from injuries that would kill or permanently cripple normal humans.
However major injures, like having my head cut of or getting stabbed through the heart, will still kill me.
Naturally, I haven´t tried the last part but I´m certain that I can´t recover from everything.
I always have a word in the back of my head when thinking about this ability, I think it´s called Warsifel

[b]Coding:[/b] Since these things, whatever they are, appears to have a knack for tracking me down, I´m going to guess that I´m corrupted[/font][/i][/spoiler]

The entire thing is written as a self explained thing because I was aiming for an introduction-ish thing at the beginning but couldn´t
make something up that sounded good enough.

Might do some minor touch-up on some parts but I´m curious about what you think.

Yeah, meet Wraith. Our first encounter with a virus. And I wonder how it got into the room *looks at Judas* Anyway, on to the action. No better way to figure out how to fight than in a live or death situation, don't you think? Oh, if anyone has a better, more terror-inspiring font to suggest than Matisse ITC (cause it does portray the feel I wanted) do tell.

Please dont. I'm british. And we have many different accents. I'm from yorkshire, there for I dont speak like the Queen. And Britain is made up of three different countries, so please try to be a bit more specific. There's England, Scotland and Wales. UK: Add Northern Ireland. British Isles: Add Republic of Ireland.

And lets see if the bottle of cough medicine defeats the computor Virus, shall we?

Personality: DK is generally calm and quiet. He likes to calculate his surroundings and make a plan. His strategic mind is amazing. However, he has a quick temper. And when he has to make quick decisions, he gets frustrated and starts raging. This makes him an easy target, but a tough one. He hates stuck up people who think they are always right and that they are better than everyone else.

1) A silver locket.

Ability: Able to conjure up an axe when needed.

@Dwarven, accepted. You can post soon, either wait until the collective show up (you can be "that guy fighting/running over there") or somewhere in the rock fall (having either been on the surface or in one of the rooms above)

@Lady, Really? Speed of a 747 in flight? 800+ miles per hour? Remember, they are new avatars, and their abilities have yet to be full developed. Give her time to gather more memories before pulling that sort of power.


Okay, we have meet and escaped Wraith, with a ton of rock on our heads as proof. Not bad for newbies. Now, they just need to get out of from beneath the rocks, and out of the hole. And nothing attracts attention like several levels collapsing in your basement, so expect the Collective to show up in a few posts.

[u]Ranking[/u]
Viruses are ranked based on power, ability, skill and age. There are three ranks: Upper, Middle and lower Tiers. Each tier has rungs within; upper, middle and lower. A full ranking of a virus goes rung then Tier.

[u]Class[/u]
Officially, their are two class of viruses. Combat viruses and recon viruses. In practice however, all viruses have some recon ability and some combat ability. Combat viruses possess more aggressive abilities and most have the ability to delete data. Recon generally focus less on power and more on stealth and evasion. They often have the ability to store data.

[u]Types[/u]
A virus type give you some idea of what abilities it will have. While some or pure Recon (like spyware), most combative types have some recon application (Rootkits are good for sabotage.) Types include Trojan, Rootkits, Worms, Spyware, malware, Adware and Jammers.

And the best part, I'm almost making it up as I go along! Although I do know where I'm going with it. And it's not going to be some major plot smashing bad boss guy, dont worry. And the Smart Alec bit, I thought I might add it for a sadistic evil book, wouldn't you?

@ Justice (or do you prefer Spoon?), Sorry, but no. Our characters are avatars formed from the memories and imagination of ourselves in a world formed from the net. Hackers are figures that don't exist on the net aside from the effect their actions have on the world our avatars are in, messages they send and viruses/programs thy introduce. Your avatar could have hacking abilites, but I would rather not have another character that can change the surrondings.

@ Lazaruz, no problem. Introductions aren't all that important as the avatar's have access to the character apps. So anything you put in there, they should know. Which reminds me, I need to add Dwarven
