IceDorago
I fail to see how Asuka could be debatable when he has the same role as the other three. Aki and Asuka just play card games on top of all the other stuff.
Blake
Yugi/Jaden/Yusei/Yuma Joey/Syrus/Crow/Bronk (Though I am loathe to use that name) Tea/Alexis/Aki/Tori Kaiba/Chazz/Jack/Kaito Shark is meant to parallel Joey while being more of a rival character, and is not in any of the above archetypes, solely. Zane and Aster are also Jaden rivals, but they aren't his main rival, per se. GX sucks in the fact that he never really had a final showdown with any of his rivals Jesse (Crystal Beasts) is both a rival and a Syrus-esque character Kalin is more the obstacle enemy, similar to Placido
Northern Sage
By the way, my imagination or are the latest chapters somewhat similar to the Kaibaland arc in the original? Just a thought. It might not be relevant in the slightest. (The info can be found on the wiki)

Jord200
Maybe Tron IS their father and reverted to a child due to an expiriment of Dr. Faker? Could explain why Dr. Faker thought Tron was dead.
evilfusion
It's a vague possibility. Also, it should be noted that III calls Tron by the name "Tron", whereas he refers to IV and V as "Nii-sama" (and in V's case, "V Nii-sama").

Notice how there was a dog in the photo, maybe something happened somewhere along the line the man in the photo died or became brain dead or something, and the give a dog's brain. Since III referers to Tron simply as Tron, maybe Tron was a dog. Its also weird seeing IV smile without looking like a nut job.
evilfusion
But that wouldn't make any sense whatsoever. Even Z-ONE = cosplayer makes more sense than that.
Jord200
Yeah. You gotta point..... On a side note, I have a feeling we'll get a new opening after the duel with III. Come to think of it, if IV is the original owner of 2 Numbers, do you think III might have another Nuber we haven't seen yet? Also, upcoming Number Hunter in the manga is a doll.....? http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Princess_Colon-chan

DARKPLANT RISING
I'm calling it now. Tron once died, and was resurrected into this child form. He will turn into his adult form at the end of this season, grow a bunch of muscles like Godwin did, and duel the main character team.

Blake
He's asking if it has any potential or if it's just crashing and burning. It has the potential to be better, especially because this is the only series out of itself, GX, and 5D's to openly be a ripoff/parody and using it for entertainment value, but the writers squander it all away. Bahamut - Envoy of the End
Repped Darkplant for awesome sig. Watched the sub, very entertaining. Shark was pretty awesome. Although the fact that the duel had to end with him walking away would have resulted in Yuma losing all his heart pieces, losing Numbers, and Astral dying and only discovering this as an afterthought was sort of, eh? Kinda defeats the point of collecting five pieces if one loss means your out. III being in the house exploring and explaining his love of ancient artefacts was amazingly fun. But here's my problem: Why should I, for even one second, have the slightest doubt in my mind, that III can actually beat Yuma in this duel? What is there to make me believe Yuma won't win? Nothing. So, from episode 51 onwards I imagine it will be the final rounds; contested conveniantly between the final eight-sixteen. (Yes, somehow thousands of heart pieces have been whittled down just to forty-eighty spread between the finalists). Hopefully a rush of new Numbers then. evilfusion
I love this subber. So consistently fast and the subs aren't plagued by absurdly illogical statements (some of the 5Ds subs drove me crazy because they were so bad). The subs actually kind of help fuel the theory that Tron is somehow related to III, IV, and V's father, already somewhat aided by that curious photo III thought of. In III's little flashback, he mentions to IV and he got that card from their father, and IV grumbles that only III got something. In the earlier episodes involving III and IV (episode 34, about), Tron seems fond of III, such as giving him the mission of giving Shard Number 32, and having absolute faith he'll succeed. That may be somehow related to the slight "favoritism" III seems to have gotten from his father as well, plus the idea that III, IV, and V are fighting for revenge involving their family, although their exact reasons aren't yet clear. Also, V got ticked off at IV for disrespecting Tron, and V does seem like the "good" child, the older, respectful brother that insists on his sibling's good behavior. [/quote] I don't think "All" Heart Pieces are wagered. Otherwise, Tomato Dude would have lost at least 3 pieces to Yuma. I think it's more along the lines that Shark is dueling tons of unnecessary duels and taking all the Heart Pieces, "eliminating" them from the tournament in this fashion. Because if they have no pieces, they cannot proceed to the finals, which will give him more of a chance to get revenge on IV. So if Shark beat Yuma, he'd probably strip all of Yuma's pieces, wiping him out as a threat. This also seems to reaffirm my belief that Number holders battling wager their Numbers by default, as while Astral didn't start fading out like he normally does when LP is low, Astral found it a concern afterwards, when other episodes have had Yuma lose/losing to non-Number holders (including Shark in episode 10) with no ill effect. Of course Yuma's not going to lose a plot-significant duel. He's a Yu-Gi-Oh protagonist. There isn't any fear that he'll lose. III is a Number Hunter whose Numbers can't be taken by Astral. If he wins, Astral dies and Yuma loses his Numbers. If Yuma wins, he'll get the last Heart Piece (most likely) but III will suffer nothing further.
