Brinolovania
Do you remember episode 13 at all? Haruto's debut involved him gleefully desiring more screams while launching garbage through a dimensional portal into the Astral World. In his next appearance in the same episode, Kaito also seemed unnerved by Haruto's near-monotonous murmur that laughter is unneeded and he needs to hear more screams to calm down. That said, Haruto's manner is unnerving, due to his blank semi-obliviousness to nearly everything and the fact he can pretty much destroy everything in his vicinity when stressed.
I remember 13, but the memory isn't really vivid... And then 40 came and I nearly s*** myself.
evilfusion
Haruto's been so low-focus until that moment in the series. He had a creepy debut, a semi-creepy convo with Kaito. Then he collapsed in episode 14. In episode 22, he and Kaito talk briefly before Mr. Heartland has him get back to work, despite Kaito's protests. And then he gets an entire episode devoted to him. Similar logic was used for Shark Drake. *Still trying to avoid NGE's full effect, as I am with these* Well I suspect they'll only be one new Number, given the spaces left in GAOV. I'm thinking the other space is for something else maybe, and IV will just use 15 again. However would be suprised if Kaito didn't use one of his Numbers though. Oh on topic of GAOV, as there looks to be two Vanilla's in that set with Level 8 Hieroglyph as GAOV-002, am I the only one who suspects we're getting a Photon Vanilla? That might be cool. evilfusion
This duel had better be good. We haven't had a duel for 3 episodes, and that was Cathy vs Dog-chan. Can anyone summarize the previous 2 episodes?
Will do, but in spoiler.

Kaito visits Haruto, noticeably exhausted. Orbital 7 previously noted that Kaito is overusing his Photon Mode, and warns him that if he keeps it up, it'll be bad for his body. Naturally, Kaito told him to shut up. As Kaito leaves, Haruto gets some sort of vision/memory and uses his powers to blast a hole in the floor and disappear. Yuma and Kotori are walking and they notice Haruto crossing a busy street without paying much attention. Yuma recognizes him as Kaito's brother (picture he saw in episode 24), and rushes out to try to help Haruto. A truck swerves and is going to hit them, but Haruto's powers activate, protecting them and utterly destroying the truck. As Yuma and Astral comment on this, Haruto acknowledges Astral, to Yuma's alarm. Astral is intrigued by Haruto and convinces Yuma to take Haruto to his house, where he eats with Yuma's family and sleeps. He then has another vision and leaves, prompting Yuma, Kotori, and Astral to look for him. However, Gauche and Droite are looking for Haruto, and come across them. When Gauche tries to take Haruto back, his powers activate again, and Haruto, Yuma, and Kotori disappear from the area, which noticeably ticks Gauche off. On Haruto's request, they arrive at some sort of tower that his visions have contained, with the understanding Haruto is trying to meet Kaito here. However, he is not there, and Haruto panics, creating an even greater explosion of his powers, especially when a helicopter draws near. Astral touches Haruto and sees the memory/vision that has been driving Haruto. Evidently, Kaito and Haruto had previously tried to run from Heartland and gone up to that tower, where Kaito gave Haruto a caramel to calm him down. However, shortly afterwards, Mr. Heartland and a squadron of security officers had arrived, and Kaito is restrained. This memory continues to distress Haruto, and Astral quickly informs Yuma about memory. Yuma gets Kotori to give him a caramel and offers it to Haruto, who gradually calms down and acknowledges that he wanted to give Kaito a caramel (returning Kaito's past gesture) because Kaito is always tired because of his Number hunt. A helicopter arrives and Yuma prepares to fight, but instead of Gauche and Droite, it's V. V does something with his crest to draw Haruto to come to him, like a brainwash. Before entering the helicopter, Haruto tells Yuma his mission is to destroy the Astral World.

From what I gathered from the Raw version. Kaito discovers that Haruto's missing and freaks out quite a bit. He contacts Gauche and Droite, and while Gauche seems quite willing to disconnect the call, Droite explains the situation and mentions Haruto was last seen with Yuma. The two of them catch up to Yuma and Gauche is pretty rough with him in his questioning. Kaito also shows up, and demands information. Astral tells/reminds Yuma of a few details of V's appearance, but it doesn't seem like Gauche believes Yuma. However, they do eventually leave. With some coaxing from Yuma, Kaito evidently allows Yuma to help, as Orbital beams Kaito's contact number to Yuma's D-Gazer and they leave. Haruto and V arrive at a sea-side castle, where Tron prepares a ritual, which probably has the effect of stealing Haruto's powers (according to Wiki). The process thus far causes Haruto more than considerable distress and he constantly calls for his brother. III, IV, and V observe the ritual, with V being serious, IV smirking, and III looking rather uncomfortable. Both Kaito and Astral pick up on Haruto's cries and Astral talking to Yuma gets Kotori to investigate the location vaguely described by Haruto. They also come to some sort of conclusion about Mr. Heartland and (I think) the motives behind the World Duel Carnival. With the information, Yuma uses his D-Gazer to call for Kaito, which Shark overhears, repeating Kaito's name in slight confusion. Yuma and Kotori arrive at the location and Kaito drops in shortly. They briefly argue about something. Meanwhile, III, IV, and V see them on a camera and raise a bridge for them to come across. III and IV leave to confront them. V mentions something to III before he leaves the room, which I got the vibe it was telling him to be careful, but dont quote me on that. Inside the building, III and IV appear to them, and Kotori reacts in horror to seeing IV again, remembering his cruelty in the last duel. Kaito demands to know where Haruto is. III and IV then use their Duel Anchors to crisscross and attach to Kaito and Yuma, respectively. Astral acknowledges it's a Tag Duel. Then, they all epicly do their Duel transformations (Kaito noticeably does not say his usual "Duel Mode, Photon Change", but rather something about Haruto and something being unforgiveable, the exact words unknown, but it's not much of a stretch to imagine). evilfusion
2 part Duel, actually. The duel started at the end of 41, but no one took a turn yet. It pretty much ended with them saying "Duel!" and drawing their cards. It'll be pretty hard to ruin this duel's inherent epicness. Plus we know what arrives in 2 episodes... Sleepy
I was just reading at the wikia's episode list... Sooooo... when they say Robin, do they mean EspaRobin? =P so he IS going to appear again after all? lol As for episode 41, I just finished catching up. It's gonna be pretty epic. Well. It already is. 2 Episodes without Duels being interesting shows that the writers can make their work xD I had the feeling that Yuma wouldn't be able to do the Super Saiyan mode again any time soon. Not that his enemies know he can't.

evilfusion
The basis for my thought is because Kaito is an active Number Hunter used by Dr. Faker and Mr. Heartland. III, IV, V, and Tron seem to be holding a grudge about something Dr. Faker did, and III and IV both have Duel Anchors and Duel Changes. III, IV, and V are Number Hunting as well, so they clearly know something about collecting Numbers. Tron also wants Haruto's power, which Dr. Faker has been using to attack the Astral World. I consider that maybe III, IV, and V got replaced by Kaito as the primary Number Hunter. And Tron is believed to be dead. Maybe Tron served a similar role to Haruto before, and was nearly killed. He did survive and the best way to screw with Dr. Faker could be to take away the usefulness of his "replacement" and use it for himself. It's probably not exactly like that, but it's a decent theory.

I doubt Haruto will ever duel or work as a Number Hunter, but it could happen a lot later in the plot.
evilfusion
Okay, so I just saw episode 42 raw. 41 doesn't seem to be subbed yet, though.
-IV seems mildly bipolar. His facial expression and mood keeps changing. A LOT. -Kaito's using a Field Spell that burns all players who dont control Photon monsters by 100 x Level whenever a Photon is Summoned. -IV seems to know a LOT about Kaito, including, it seems, his reason for hunting Numbers. As a result, Yuma finds out a bit. -As predicted, IV does indeed use Number 15 again. -III and IV (IV quite a bit more) freak out when Yuma brings out Number 39. Sadly, Giant Killer likes to kill Numbers. -III uses Number 33 (obviously). Its effect seems to be it burns a player when their ATK changes. -Want to severely piss off Kaito? Show him a visual image of Haruto suffering from the ritual. -Poor Galaxy-Eyes...*sniff*
Duel is kind of epic so far.
