evilfusion
Just rewatched that scene. You are correct. Only Big Eye was lost, and the scene the preview had involving Volcasaurus was replaced by Big Eye.

Jord200
Look on the bright side, at least Big Eye has a chance at being summoned. A VERY remote one, but its better than nothing. Also, Kaito, will you ever use your other Numbers? At least we'll see a new Number or two when IV duels. My question is this. Number 7 Lucky Stripe was in a gallery. Its most likely that the gallery is owned by Mr. Heartland. So would that mean Lucky Stripe is a Number Kaito obtained somewhere along the line? Unless Mr. Heartland plans to betray Dr. Faker or something, I don't see why they wouldn't just let Kaito continue to hold onto it or something. evilfusion
I doubt Kaito owned Number 7. But he now has at least 14 Numbers, and we only know 4 of them...
Resident Fascist
Number 7 could've been given out as a trap to lure Yuma.
CNo.101 S.H. Death Knight
When i watch that episode i was going like 'WTF?!", Charlies's cards are so situational and luck based that it's not funny yet they were played like it's nothing lol. i guess we can bet that charlies may use Big Eye after all, Yuma will go "Gah!! it's the return of Big Eye and it want revenge on me!!!" and Astral will look away and mutter "f*** you konami...." lol
Northern Sage
Looking at that preview, it appears Lucky Stripe is not the card that will get Charlie's LP to 100,000. There was some other weird card used in that sequence.
evilfusion
The preview also shows his LP going from 20,000 to 100,000, which to me suggests that he's got a card that multiples his LP by 5.

evilfusion
I thought of that, but considering Charlie's luck, I wonder why 6 isn't an option for that.

Bahamut - Envoy of the End
So Daigusto Phoenix and Thunder End Dragon are about the same size? Who knew? Gutted that we didn't get Yuma being trounced, but it could still happen. Maybe? Please? Presumably Number 7 is what is letting him hit 6's constantly. Can't say I was massively enthralled, but hey at least its a return to a somewhat relevant plot and raised some questions. Like wtf is up with Dr Faker knowing so much about Astral? And we might also learn more from our dashing villian (I do quite like Charlie's character) about Yuma's dad and things in general. Charlie is not the average jobber. evilfusion
The subs I saw for episode 31 kept using "card" and "Number" as plural, and sound effects when Big Eye left Yuma's Deck sounded like multiple cards. How many Numbers did they lose? I dont think Konami actually has anything to do with the writing.

evilfusion
Watching the raw version now. Number 7 is VERY clearly affecting Charlie's rolls. Link: http://www.nwanime.com/yu-gi-oh-zexal-episode-32/watch/91e527add5f08068c997/After watching the episode... HUH?!
Charlie has a Continuous Spell that lets him roll a dice. If he gets a 6, his LP is multipled by 5. Evidently the flip side is that if he doesn't get a 6, the card is destroyed, and his LP returns to 4000. Yuma manages to bring out Number 39, but Charlie plays a card that if he rolls a 6, he takes control of Hope but gives it 0 ATK. Needless to say, he rolls a 6 because Lucky Stripe is God's lucky charm. Yuma plays a Trap that...I dont quite understand the effect of. Something about what Charlie draws. He draws some sort of Spell, and Yuma has Hope destroy a sun or something that I dont think was ever in play in the first place. For some reason, this clearly seals Number 7's power. Charlie attempts his Continuous Spell, gets a 1, his 100,000 LP returning to 4000. He ends his Turn without attacking with Number 7 (for some reason. If he rolled a 1 with Lucky Stripe's effect, Yuma would have 200 LP left). Yuma activates Come Back on Hope and brings out Chaos Number 39, lowering Number 7 to 0 and itself to 4000. He OTKs Charlie. The WEIRD part: Astral does not absorb the Numbers back. In fact, Charlie still has Number 7 and gives it to like...his daughter/niece/whatever or something for good luck for an operation or something. I dont think it was explained what happened to Number 11, and if Charlie still has it, why it wasn't retrieved. This still begs the question of why the HELL Astral didn't absorb Number 7. Charlie didn't really explain his motives of having Number 7 in the first place, although Akari apparently knows something about it.
Yeah... Northern Sage
The card is called "Command of the Sword" and this is it's wiki lore: Activate during your opponent's Draw Phase if there is a LIGHT Warrior-Type monster on the field. evilfusion
Ah, so he destroyed the drawn card, I see. But why did this seal Number 7's power?
Northern Sage
The drawn card was apparently "Scales of the sun" (Taiyou no Tenbin), which has a rather unrelated effect. However, they did say "Taiyou" at some occasions, so I'm guessing it's got to do something with it. Lore: Once per turn, roll 1 die. If the result is 6, destroy all monsters your opponent controls. If the result is not 6, target 1 monster you control and destroy it. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, your opponent receives 500 damage. ParadoxCaller
*shudder* don't even make me IMAGINE 4kids dubbing this. that reminds me, I really hope they lose the case and lose Yu-Gi-Oh! for good. I suggested to FUNimation that they should take in the Yu-Gi-Oh! rights if and when 4kids loses them. I really want ZeXal to get a DECENT dub...but with cool music on par with that of 4Kids. Honestly - it's the only thing I like about that company. Toon world and the seal's themes = epic.
4kids are dubbing Zexal, and I've watched the dub from epsiode 1, and I can honestly say that I'm amazed by how much they've stayed true to the original content, especially when it comes to dialouge and plot. They've even stopped editing out all english text that you would usually find in the original Yu-Gi-Oh!, the only thing that's been editied for obvious reasons are the card layouts. I don't know why, but I think 4kids finally got their act toghether and decided not to ruin yet another Yu-Gi-Oh! series. As it is right now I think the Zexal dub is totally okay (besides the fact that they pronounce it zexul).

Jord200
My guess is Charlie simply returned Big Eye. Why Astral didn't absorb Lucky Stripe, I don't know. Mabye because it was stolen by Charlie and people might accuse Yuma if he had it. I havn't seen the episode, so I don't know anything about the little girl. I have a theory that Kaito will eventualy beat her, take Luckt Stripe and her soul, realize he's taking the soul of a little kid, keep Number 7, but return her soul, and begin to realize just how destructive is powers are, and that Numbers Holders ( at least not all of them ) aren't as evil as he was told. I also heard a rumor that IV uses a Scarecrow deck now. We can look foward to seeing 1 or 2 new Numbers next week.
