Northern Sage
I forgot, Episode 28 is out. Shoobee's personality seriously was somehow worse than Yuma's. Ouch. (Ore-sama is a japanese word for "me/my" that is incredibly arrogant.) Doboku Zaku was seriously cool, though.

evilfusion
Why does it seem like Yuma is even more Astral dependant than normal? Sure, at the beginning of the series, he was a complete numbskull of a duelist and contrary as hell, but the last two duels had Astral tell him what to do, and Yuma completely froze up when he couldn't hear Astral telling him to activate his Trap card in this episode. This wouldn't be as bad if the duels were serious. They're not, though. No Numbers or risks, just a duel for a tournament.

Jord200
The way I see it, this is probably how rest of the WDC first round will go. Yuma vs Anna- Yuma most likely wins and has 4 heart pieces Yuma vs vegetable guy- Yuma winss and has 5 heart pieces Yuma vs Charlie- Yuma loses and has 4 heart pieces Yuma vs Charlie again- Yuma wins and aquires Number 7 and has 5 heart pieces Yuma vs the dude who has Number 25- Yuma wins and aquires Number 25 and has 6 heart pieces by then, if my math is correct then I think thats all he needs to make it to the final round. EDIT- on a side note, should that happen, it would be that Numnber 5 would be the only named Number that didn't belong to Yuma or Kaito.

evilfusion
Yeah, the general opposite of ore-sama, I believe, is "boku" which is more subdued. But needless to say, it's very easy to notice when a character drops "ore-sama".

Jord200
According to info on lolwikia, Number 50 is Black Corn....... and belongs to someone called Captain Corn. Its divisible by 10, so Kaito is probably going to take it or something. I'm just curious why they went 10, 20, 30, and then skipped 40. On a side not I found out for a later episode after the camera dude incediant...... YUMA AND KAITO VS V AND TRON. There's no confirmation yet though. It's possible, but unlikely. If Kaito and Yuma were going to team up (a very, very strong possibility based on the opening) it won't be so soon. And even more amusingly, if they DID, who would get the Numbers if they won?
Jord200
Hmm. Thats a very good question. I highly doubt they would split them. Now that you mention it, this does sound a bit fishy. I can see them battling Tron later on, he hasn't really done anything yet.
evilfusion
I can kind of see the usual "antagonist early appearance" where the antagonist duels and proves he's a threat (like Kaito vs Yuma in episode 13/14), but dueling both Kaito and Yuma seems too soon. There's just so much to learn in this arc to have a showdown like that right now. We dont even know what III, IV, V, and Tron want, other than Numbers. Premier Alexander Romanov
I'm getting very tired of these new characters in ZEXAL. They seem to have no personality, other than the fact that they really like a specific thing, and have a deck based around that one thing. This bugged me in GX as well with Harrington (the tennis guy) and Orlando (the Kabuki guy), and it annoys me that Kazuki Takahashi is repeating this formula.
I think its only for these first few episodes of the WDC. Besides, its similar the the GX Tournement, but I don't see Shark and Kotori being brainwashed by some crazy cult, Tetsuo and Takashi are going to duel soon, which is good because we have seen Tetsuo duel once, and Takashi zero times ( not counting duels where it just showed the ending ), and I kind of have a feeling at Anna might at least be a reoccuring charecter. We really don't know anything about her other than she's a childhood friend of Yuma's, who he doesn't remember, she uses a Railroad deck, and according to the preview info on lolwikia, she wants to kill Yuma for some reason.........And that she is probably not going to get along with Kotori and Cathy too well..... evilfusion
These first few episodes are FILLER. Thus, the new characters suck because they're stupid characters that exist only for Yuma to defeat. Let's face it, when your role in the show is to lose to an amateur duelist in a tournament using only one episode, you're not going to be interesting. As opposed to the WRGP teams, which, aside from Team Catastrophe, at least pretended they were interesting characters.

Teams Unicorn and Ragnarok had sizable portions of entire sets based on their cards, but for these losers, we got Doboku Zaku...and that's it. Interestingly, like Harrington, the soccer guy's cards show no signs of being made into real cards. Also, bringing up another issue, in Episode 8, it is shown that Fuya possesses a series of cards based on his own TV show. If he can have those kinds of cards, to other television shows have their own Duel Monsters sets? Is there an archetype based on, say, Firefly? And how thoroughly has Duel Monster permeated into society that TV shows get their own card sets? Do books, movies, and musicals have cards based on them? And are the creators of Duel Monsters/Yu-Gi-Oh! running out of ideas if we are seeing cards based on [s]cats[/s], soccer, construction equipment, [s]trains[/s], vegetables, and [s]photography[/s]? evilfusion
The anime writers just like to make archetypes and themes that blatantly reveal a character's interests. I kind of liked the soccer guy's cards, but I wouldnt want them to exist in RL.
Overreaction much? Anyway, I do believe that television shows probably ARE given their own Duel Monster sets in order to increase promotion of their shows. I mean, Duel Monsters replaced RELIGION as one of the top three ...something..... so basically they're essential to everyday life. And because of this, it wouldn't be surprising to have cards based on say, everyday objects. There's so many cards nowadays that any anime character could build a deck based on ANYTHING, be it pencils or planets or zombie ninjas....
