Anyway, the good thing is, this'll probably be the topmost bullshit in ZeXal, meaning the last 2 duels won't be this bullshitty.

Won't Shark bring out a super-powerful CXyz in the next Duel?

Did they even Normal Summon a single monster in this episode?

I think using actual monsters on the field to Xyz Summon this arc has become so rare, I didn't even notice.

Any Astral Number

Any Non-Number Xyz

So that's the Xyz Misael used, 39, 54, 64, 80, 58, 43, 62, 96, 15, 40, 6, 9, 73, 101, and that's it. I think

What the hell was this episode?

First, Don Thousand played a Spell that let him use Numeron Network and 4 Numbers from the Grave as Level 12 monsters to Xyz Summon. BS! For CNo.1000 (BS!) which has 10,000 ATK (BS!) After it battles, it can destroy all monsters and Summon pretty much all monsters that were Summoned this turn to his Field.

Then Yuma does Zexal stuff. Which is BS by default. And Yuma sets 4 cards, which amused me.

Then Don Thousand plays a Numeron version of Heavy Storm. I'm going to admit, I started laughing.

Numeron Dragon is awesome. A Rank 1 0/0, but can be SSed if you take a direct attack, can turn an opposing monster's ATK to 0, when it's destroyed, you destroy all your opposing monsters, and if you had any S/Ts destroyed this turn, they return to the Field. Beautiful...utter BS, but still.

And then whatever Don Thousand did afterwards just...WHAT. Seriously, this episode just showcased how stupid Don Thousand's cards are. Z-One did the whole "utter BS archetype/plays" significantly better than Don Thousand does. Even Dartz's Orichalcos BS did it better.

But it did confirm the circumstances as to Durbe receiving No.102 (Not that there was any question to this), and...was ridiculously vague regarding Merag.

EDIT: I just read the topic on CINo.1000. WTF?! That's hilarious.

I think the writers are just tired of ZeXal, and are just not making any real effort; Numbers 1 to 4 were a major red flag if you ask me, and considering the previews informed us that Numerronius would be a 10,000 ATK monster, this stuff didn't come as a huge surprise to me.  I didn't expect an auto-win version of him though.

This is probably true. Also, I think they just don't know how to handle what Don Thousand SHOULD be capable of doing.

It's more of a Harpie's Feather Duster, really.

...
I have no words for this.
I have despised ZEXAL for quite some time, and this is not the levels of "EPIC" that the writers seem to be going for.
But, then again, Konami seems to no longer care about any form of quality in this anime.

Again, I believe that the writers either don't care about Zexal anymore, or they just don't know how to showcase "Don Thousand = ridiculously powerful". Since recent Duels involving Don Thousand's powers have been declining rapidly (Vector vs Durbe/Merag was clever. Vector vs Nasch was godawful. Don Thousand period is so stupid), this supports my thoughts. The writers aren't sure how to show a character as a godly Duelist.

Also, Zexal (the power) gets this tendency. It's creating cards to solve a crisis. I'm still wondering what the two cards Astral received from Eliphas are. I'm hoping one of them is Astral Force, though, since Don Thousand's C1000 is an anti-Chaos card, and Astral Force represents going beyond chaos.

But Shark/Nasch is a very skilled Duelist. So that's my last hope for the series: That Nasch vs Yuma will be the epic Duel we want. I know someone here analyzed earlier in the series on how Shark is probably the best Duelist in the series because his strategies are logical and skillful without being too OP.

My most recent thought is simply: Final antagonists suck at card games.

They do.

And I don't know why that is a thing.

They do.

And I don't know why that is a thing.

I even have examples of how the antagonists suck.

They never Duel the protagonists until their minions have all lost already.

They run ridiculously powerful cards and very linear strategies, implying they're actually very simple-minded as Dueling strategists.

Mind Games are often exploited to stall. They often recommend the protagonist surrendering.

Some notable examples:

-Marik should have lost almost all his Duels, but plot armor saved him (Mai should have won. Joey legit should have won. Bakura should have won. Yugi did win)

-Sartorius in GX had Arcana Force hax. Semi-justified in that Sartorius knew he was going to lose, and therefore tried NOT to Duel at all.

-Dr. Faker probably wasn't even a Duelist in the first place and had no intention of Dueling at all.

-Aporia's Deck is a mash of 3 different Decks that should not function at all. He upgrades to a burn Deck against the twins and Jack.

-Z-One's Temporal Machine Gods are utterly reliant on their effects, and using the Continuous Traps to Summon them. There's no clever outplaying involved.

-Dartz used mind games galore, urged surrendering, exploited extremely broken effects, but his entire strategy was "sit on the Orichalcos until opponent dies".

And now...Don Thousand is probably the most disgusting example because most of the other antagonists have justifications in character/etc as to why they really aren't skillful players.

Yeah, and Shark has a really impressive deck by anime standards.

Ark Knight

MST

Monster Reborn

Aero Shark ( With its MUCH better anime effect )

Black Ray Lancer ( Generic in the anime )

I THINK he used TT at one point.

Posidon Wave ( 800 per monster is a lot when you are only starting with 4000 Life Points )

Xyz Gift ( Anime effect )

Book of Moon ( I looked on the wiki for all of these. )

He can swarm monsters, and create combos out of them, using things like Needle Sunfish.

Shark is an extremely strong Duelist.

I....I really dunno what to say. And I can agree the writers just want Zexal to be done and over with. The fact Don Thousand only has to take the number 100, put an extra 0 in it and put a C beside it is really stupid and effortless. "I GOT A C1000 MONSTER W. 10,000 ATK! HURR DURR I'M DON THOUSAND! FEAR ME B****H"

Pretty much in Zexal the formula has been constant the whole time. Summon monster X -> SS monster(s) Y/Z... -> Xyz a monster -> Set backrow of anti-burn or ATK boosts. And now in the more recent episodes it's just shifted to ranking up every single possible Xyz that can be ranked up. Not to mention the amount of cheating Zexal has ever done besides Shining Draw/ Barian Chaos Draw. Ignoring rules by drawing during other players turns, activating traps and spells from your deck, as well as Xyz summoning from anywhere just breaks the cycle altogether. Generally Zexal has shown the worst of dueling I have seen.
