Just musing at the fact that, as far as the original Galaxy-Eyes/Neo Galaxy-Eyes goes, Kaito always summoned it by chucking a Javelin into the sky/overlay hole. For Prime Photon, he jabbed a sword into the ground.

Ahh.

It also makes a bit more sense, given their effects.

The original Galaxy-Eyes is a precision anti-Xyz tool, utilized to take them out with a strong throw.

Prime is a weapon for dealing the maximum amount of damage to something, pure and simple.

One strikes, one slashes.

That's actually a pretty good comparison. Hadn't quite thought of it that way.

We've had Mizael pointing a sword at his own throat, and more than half the characters in this show pretty much outright dying. I'm pretty sure one little gun reference is no big deal.

True, considering that GX had a character that shot his cards at people, and had a deck revolving around a fiery version of the Sentry Turret from Team Fortress 2.

That was quite the episode with the clashing of the Galaxy/Tachyon monsters. I'm still a little confused on the inter-relationships between Tachyon and Dragluon along with Prim Photon.

Looks like Orbital 7 won't be holding on much longer and Obomi does show some affection it seems. Though I do wish to see translations from that scene, to where Kaito unleashes #6w, and Jinlong revealing the truth about about his past. Did Kaito realize some answer to the legend that made him retrieve #62?

Episode is so cool!

This is the first time Mizael and Kaito used the same cards, which makes sense since they both use Galaxy-Eyes monsters. Also, since Kaito's Deck has been all but outright said to have been created with Barian power/resources, the fact Mizael, a Barian, uses the same cards is not as farfetched.

Other times the same cards have been used:

Kaito and Yuma both had Xyz Double Back. Kaito using it won him the Duel.

Yuma and Alito both had Xyz Stand Up and Xyz Treasure.

So the anime Prime Photon Dragon has an effect to raise Ranks by 1? This is pointless beyond belief, and unnecessary from a writing standpoint, since it didn't win the Duel.

Possible plothole: Why didn't Kaito use Galaxy Shock when Prime Photon attacked? My only explanation without checking Wiki or whatever for the lore is that Neo Tachyon permanently locks the Set card, or until Mizael's next turn. Similarly, Overlay Booster didn't use its effect. Either of these would have won the Duel, and if Prime didn't have that Rank increase effect, the explanation could easily be (for Booster) that the extra 1000 would leave Mizael at 100, and Kaito didn't want to risk his ace in the hole if it wouldn't win on the spot, since Mizael had a Set card.

Mizael's "What?" when Double Dragon Descend made the ATKs equal was hilarious, plus that facial expression.

Interesting that Mizael getting Neo Tachyon destroyed by No.46 didn't have the same effect on him that Alito and Gilag got. I have a feeling No.107 has a stronger spell on it than the other Over-Hundred Numbers, since it's a Rank 8 whereas all the others are Rank 4. He got some of his true memory back, but he seems to be rejecting its significance, or is much more intent on defeating Kaito as a matter of pride.

The way the Duel was going, I almost expected it to be over in one episode, if I didn't know better. And with next preview, I'm concerned that something happens to Kaito, even if he wins, and maybe the preview that Mizael gets No.62 and fights Don Thousand isn't ENTIRELY fake.

Also...Dr. Faker cameo FTW. Did anyone else also notice that the shaman in Mizael's backstory isn't so blatantly evil-looking as the one in Gilag and Alito's backstory? I have a hunch that Don Thousand's power at that point may have been at an all-time high. The fact he grows in size (the card he's holding is TINY) and No.107 is probably the last Over-Hundred he distributed adds credibility to the theory that No.107 has the most powerful curse on it.

It's also supported by the evidence around 107:

It was a real creature, and was feared by the other Barians. Miseal alone could control it.

Miseal has consitently been the strongest Barian, and probably the most respected/feared.

He was also probably the most powerful in life since he did tame a dragon.

That's a good point. No.107 was a real creature, since the backstory of the Galaxy-Eyes dragons indicated the connection of the dragons, and No.46 is the spirit of Mizael's dragon, which had been real. Mizael's soul, being a dragon tamer, would be able to control No.107.

Mizael has also in previous episodes referenced No.107 being an actual dragon. Of course, the fact he absorbed a real dragon into the card is example enough, but in the Duel with Yuma, he spoke to the dragon specifically, wondering why it was so eager to fight. After the Sargasso Duel, he threatened Vector that he was going to make him food for Galaxy-Eyes.

I remembered now that Don Thousand told Alito when giving him 105 that he couldn't permit Alito's soul and power to go to the Astral World. So in addition to preparing souls to regain his full power in the future, Don Thousand was also preventing souls with incredible power from aiding his enemies, and instead aiding the Barian World.

I'm starting to believe the credibility of the previews that we saw a couple of weeks ago as well, especially since the final battle would have to happen soon anyway with the new series coming in April.

I could even see a way for the "Mizael w/No.62" aspect. Kaito wins, but is injured too greatly/whatever, so he entrusts Mizael with No.62, since Mizael is still a dragon tamer, and is willing to fight Don Thousand.

No guarantee that's what happens, but I could see it happening.

Not gonna lie that sounds just as plausible as Kaito losing the duel tbh.

Mind you though, Mizael confronting Don Thousand and finding out his "real past" reminds me of Rafael in Season 4 of the original series when he confronted Dartz and finding out Dartz was repsonsible for what happened to Rafael.
