I'm totally at a loss as to why the MOON had to be involved here. But whatever. Hopefully we'll learn cool stuff.

 

V and Kaito + Galaxy-Eyes talk

 

 

V: 何だと？ (What?)
V: ナンバーズを揃えただけでは ヌメロンコードは 機能しないというのか？ (You think the Numeron Code won't work without the proper Numbers?)
Kaito: そうだ。　俺は あのジンロンの遺跡に再び訪れ 調べたのさ。 (Correct. I checked out Jinlong's ruins again.)
Kaito: そして俺は　ドラゴンが描かれた 石碑を発見した。 (And I came across this stone monument that had Dragons carved on it.)
Kaito: 「光と時の龍　生まれし地にて あいまみえるとき 銀河の瞳…　 真に見開きて 新たな世界の扉を開く」。 (It read "Dragons of light and time, clash at thy place of birth. Then shall the eyes of the galaxies truly awaken for the first time, opening the gate to a new world.")
Kaito: そこには　そう書かれてあった。 (Or something like that.)
V: 光と時の龍。 (The "Dragons of Light and Time".)
V: つまり　フォトンとタキオンの 両ギャラクシーアイズ。 (Refers to both the Photon and Tachyon variants of the Galaxy-Eyes".)
V: だが　生まれし地とは？ (But what about the "Thy place of birth"?)
Kaito: 月だ。 (It means the moon.)
V: 月？ (The Moon?)
Kaito: そうだ。 (Correct.)
V: まさか行くつもりなのか？ (So you plan to go there?)
Kaito: ああ。 (Yeah.)
V: しかし…。 (But....)
Kaito: ２体のギャラクシーアイズのデュエル。 (To have the two Galaxy-Eyes Duel.)
Kaito: その勝者が 新たなる世界の扉を開く。 (The winner will "Open the gate to a new world".)
Kaito: それこそが ヌメロンコードが機能することを 意味するに違いない。 (I'm certain this has to do with how to use the Numeron Code.)
Kaito: それに　俺は知りたい…。 (And I want to know...)
Kaito: 真のドラゴン使いとして こいつの持つ真実を… (Which one of us is really the True Dragon Tamer...)

Due to what Vector says, Durbe and Merag's rage reaches their limit! On the other hand, Alito, who finally regained his memories, goes to save his brainwashed buddy, Girag, with "Number 64: Ronin Raccoon Sandayu" at his side, and challenges Girag to a Duel.

I was not expecting those to happen.

 

Merag and Durbe will likely lose and be brainwashed (Or outright die), and then Nasch will end up dueling Merag to save her, and Yuma against Durbe.

 

Alit vs. Girag is a really nice twist.

 

It kinda throws a spanner in the work about Tron returning. I will be disapoint if he doesn't.

I'm not SUPER surprised by the idea of Durbe/Merag vs Vector. They were the two stuck in III and V's Sphere Field, and Vector mindjacked Alit and Gilag. Gilag was the one who attacked Nasch on the way to the Barian World. I can see them sort of catching Vector in the act.

 

Also, Durbe was closest to Nasch as an advisor, and Merag is Nasch's sister, so they would be the most loyal to him by default. They're also the most useless Barians aside from Gilag, since they have no protagonist rival now that Shark is Nasch. The idea of Alit facing Gilag makes perfect sense because they were closest to each other.

While it's one of the most overused animations, Don Thousand's eye opening is still awesome every time. It's fascinating at times.

 

Wow. It had abruptly occurred to me as Alito and Yuma's Duel started that Barians could theoretically use Barian's Chaos Draw on the first turn to play RUM- The Seventh One right away, which would be cheap as hell. I assumed that it's similar to Shining Draw, though, in that Yuma and Astral only use Zexal and Shining Draw when pushed into a corner, and Nasch had done similarly when the card was first revealed. All the Barians seemed to be in tight spots when they drew it. Mizael added credibility to that, as he used Chaos Draw on his second turn.

 

...then Alito did it on his first turn (probably because of Don Thousand's power). But it amused me that I saw it coming.

 

Astral was remarkably quick to notice Don Thousand was possessing Alit. And we get to actually see Don Thousand outside of pure shadow. Probably some very interesting dialogue there.

 

No.80...apparently, it can detach an Overlay Unit to banish all cards of a declared type from the opponent's Graveyard (Monster/Spell/Trap). And it can equip to a monster and give it +1200 ATK?

One interesting thing to note is that the Legendary Numbers are actually sealing Don's power, but by collecting them, Yuma and friends, as well as the Barians, have been unlocking that seal.  In other words, they dun goofed.

 

I also fear that Number 80 is yet another Fake Number, since it just reeks of being Don's creation.

Astral said something like 80 has Don's power in it.

So its fake…… Great……. Also, lolwikia shows that the original previews are also real. Why do you thin they changed them?

 

If by "original previews", you mean the previews with Vector vs Durbe and Merag, and Alito vs Girag, my speculation is that the NAS site was hacked to show the fakes, but we got magazine scans of the real previews.

Seriously, the fake Numbers thing is so dumb from a writing standpoint. It'd be one thing if the Fake Numbers were Numbers that Yuma and Astral already had, rather than new Numbers that MIGHT be fake.

Wait didn't Kazuma tell them that they needed to find the Legendary Numbers...?

 

Possibility of im actually pulling an Aizen increasing.

 

I think Fake Numbers might just be like was the Case with Black Illumiknight, they just have subtely different appearances, not different effects.

 

That or upon collecting them, they get purified to there true formor something.

I agree. I can forgive Fake 1, 2, 3, and 4, provided the real ones are like that, and it makes sense that Flyland and his goons wouldn't be trusted with the real ones, but in this is fake, I'll be annoyed.

Wait, I thought those were the new ones. I was talking about Kaito going to see Dr. Faker, some Astral Rank-Up called the Eighth One or something, Kaito's deck glowing, and giving him Number 62.

Since he was revived, he told Vector to get the Numbers, and Mr. Heartland knew the locations. Shortly afterwards, Kazuma told Yuma to get the Numbers and had the locations.



So, time to ask the hard question.

Is ZEXAL ending?

 

It's probably in the last arc. Also, Zexal 1 was 73 episodes, each "arc" being about 24-25 episodes. Zexal II is about 50 episodes in, and we're starting a third "arc" with the all-out war with the Barians and Don Thousand, who is almost explicitly Astral's greatest enemy, getting closer to full power.

But wasn't there the whole deal where the rest of the Barian's thought that Vector was stupid for releasing Don Thousand? It implies that even the Barian's don't want him unsealed. Save for Vector whose insane.

So, what does this mean for the Numbers?

You know...the original lure of the show? The cards that Yuma was supposed to collect 100 of?

Barely half of them have been revealed, and now, we have Over-Hundred Numbers and Fake Numbers to increase the count.

 

It means Konami has a way to generate profit for ages by releasing more Number Hunters.

 

I mean, seeing all 100 in show would've been unlikely.

Why?

I mean, Yuma has half of them.

Why couldn't he use some of them?

For that matter, the whole concept of the Numbers was that there were 100 of them.

It could be like Ben 10. Yuma could use different Numbers in different situations.

And his Deck was supposed to be flexible enough with Levels to do this.

So why didn't this happen?
