Yu-Gi-Oh! ZeXal Sub/Manga Official Discussion Thread

I had a recent thought in regards to Alit's personality change. Originally, I speculated that being speed-healed with Don Thousand's power had something to do with it, but Gilag's personality didn't change at all.

So then I thought..."What happened to Alit that didn't happen to Gilag?"

Answer: Vector attacked him.

Considering Vector required Alit to be seriously hurt for his plan, and he was a Barian masquerading as a human at the time, what did he actually DO? Whereas Gilag losing his Duel was sufficient to knock him out soon afterwards, presumably because C39 - V was involved (a Barian Ranked-Up Number), Alit seemed completely fine after his defeat, until Vector attacked him.

... Are you implying that Alit is Vector's puppet now? Cause that would actually make perfect sense.

Maybe not quite as extreme as "puppet". But Vector didn't seem too taken aback by Alit's personality change (Mizael was), and the personality change happened sometime between being attacked by Vector, and recovering. Two things happened in that time: Being attack, and Don Thousand's power speed-healing them. Gilag wasn't noticeably affected by the latter.

Vector is definitely the type to backstab his own allies in sneaky ways. Not only was he willing to ambush Alit and make Gilag angry enough to challenge Shingetsu and Yuma, giving Shingetsu the opportunity to give Yuma Rank-Up Magic - Limited Barian's Force, which was key to Vector's greater scheme, but he has also managed to previously lure Merag and Nasch into a trap and kill them. Him doing something extra to Alit other than just hurting him and have that action carry a payoff of some sort in the future is EXACTLY the type of thing he'd do.

Of course, Don Thousand might have ended up brainwashing Alit after all, and just didn't bother with Gilag since he was already on board with the whole "f*** this Yuma guy" thing.

That or.... Well, Gilag doesn't seem that smart. I can see Alit being trusted more with something like killing someone.

Number C15 is called "Gimmick Puppet Serial Killer". I can hear 4kids crying.

Also, Roku and Kaze joins the ranks against Girag? Great. Now, all we need is for Charlie McCoy to reappear…

Nah, they'll just edit it to Gimmick Puppet Golden Doll or something stupid like that. Just like what happened to poor Road Warrior in the dubbed...

When? I don't remember that in the anime.

Uh...that was a key plot point.

Alit loses to Yuma, we discover Astral cannot absorb Over-Hundred Numbers. Alit leaves via Barian portal.

He emerges where he and Gilag were staying, then sees Shingetsu waiting for him with an evil chuckle. Gilag returns soon afterwards and finds Alit collapsed on the ground, injured. He asks who did it, and Alit manages to say "Shin...gets...u"  before passing out. Gilag recalls this exchange when talking to Mizael in the following episode, and he declares he'll use the last Barian Sphere Cube to defeat Yuma and Shingetsu.

He then challenges Yuma, and insists Yuma bring Shingetsu. This was WHY the tag Duel even happened: Yuma tried to keep Shingetsu out of it, but Shingetsu insisted on joining the Duel.

Yea, the site that I've been watching on had the wrong ep for that one. So I had to skip it.

When I saw the second half of that ep, it seemed like Shingetsu was caught up in the duel by a mistake and agreed to tag team with Yuma. (Yea... They don't seem to imply that he specifically was supposed to be apart of this duel... That it was something that was accidental)
