Merci
Remember, we still don't know much about Astral. The Numbers were made from his memories -he is the Original Number, after all-, but then why are there Legendary Numbers? Why are all the Numbers so.....evil? Number 96 said he was sent here to destroy the world (I think), and Tron implied that Astral may be Kazuma's own plot to take vengeance. What is the 'door'? Why did Astral come from behind it? Even he himself doesn't know. There are still questions from Episode 2 that haven't yet been answered. Don Thousand implied that Astral was some kind of legendary hero, since he was the one who sealed the god away, but what if that's not the case? However they handle it, I hope they handle it good. Jord200
I actually think there are only 3 PURE evil Numbers. Black Mist, Coat of Arms, and maybe Judge Buster. We also don't know what the "somehing precious" that Yuma is going to lose is.

We also don't know what the "somehing precious" that Yuma is going to lose is. The rest of them are just amplifying the inner evilness of the people who get them. You could argue Cain and Able though in the Manga, given what they do... Something precious I kinda get the feeling it will be really disappointing. I mean, the obvious things are: The Key, Astral, his friends, his family, his Kattobingo. But... none of those feel significant enough.
~British Soul~
I actually think there are only 3 PURE evil Numbers. Black Mist, Coat of Arms, and maybe Judge Buster. We also don't know what the "somehing precious" that Yuma is going to lose is. Sure Judge Buster seemed evil and ruthless because he had a habit of exceuting anyone that opposed him, but he also felt remorse for all the things he had done by commiting suicide. But I'm sure that he definately became evil after being Rank-Up'd. The "something precious" that Yuma is gonna lose is a difficult one. We know that Astral is gonna disappear after the events of episode 111, but how he'll disappear is something we don't know yet. I think he'll disappear as a result of the chaos field expansion seeing as that is the most logical way imo.
evilfusion
Yeah, I think Black Mist has something to do with him disappearing. I'm very interested in how the storyline is developing.
Jord200
I've actually heard some old theories that it could be Kotori. What I'm amazed nobody has brought up is Yuma's mom. We know his dad is in the Astral World, but where is his mom? Astral World? Human World? Barian World? Dead? Or someone we've met that was transformed. Maybe she's Merag? Maybe she will just not explained like how they said they would explain Devack's story in 5Ds.
Aerion Brightflame
How did I not notice the Astral has disappeared part earlier? *slasps self* Maybe Yuma will finally get... character development. I want exposition on Sharks family before we deal with Yuma's mom, because it seems like the bigger detail gap. I mean we've meet the family of practically every other character who realistically still has living parents. But not them. They might actually be addressing a Minor plot point from really early on in the series: Armoured Xyz. Which Shark gave Yuma to show he kinda trustediirc and then we never saw it again. But the Hope Atlanthal part seems to suggest that they combine together, maybe through Atlanthal's effect, but that doesn't sound good enough tbh. Not to mention the whole Amnesia plot line happening there, it could inspire memories. Though they've done anyway with any hope of Kotori ever being anything other than a Cheerleader. I mean... Subconsciously cheerleading... -_-
evilfusion
Kotori is now cheerleader and fanservice, evidently. She seems to have a constant tendency lately to have skirt issues, even since the unbelievably blatant fanservice scene in Misael's human debut (the towel scene). In the Vector ruins, on the slide, she was holding her skirt down. The fact she and Rio refused to climb the cliff to the recent ruins is almost definitely an implied case (it reminds me of the cut scene from the original series' Duelist Kingdom, where Tea/Anzu made Bakura and Tristan/Honda wear blindfolds so they could see up her skirt). Rio even stating the male characters couldn't expect the girls to climb up is probably less sexist (girls are "weak") and more because of their attire. Rio otherwise probably wouldn't pass it up. There are other cases too, but I can't be bothered remembering them. I have wondered about Yuma's mom. I wouldn't be surprised if she's searching somewhere for Kazuma, or if she has plot relevence. We know that only Kazuma of the two was called by Dr. Faker and Byron to help with the ruins, and that Kazuma and Byron were the sacrifices for Dr. Faker's access to the Barian World. On that note, the Astral and Barian Worlds have another connection in terms of Xyz Summons. When V explained Tron's backstory, Astral made some mental comment about using 2 souls, and associated it with Xyz Summoning. Zexal is an Astral World power associated with Xyz Summons and overlaying souls. The memory/vision of Astral and Don Thousand doing some of Overlay and causing the world to be destroyed seems to be another link of the concept. Yuma never using Armored Xyz annoys me when I remember it. Zexal is usually really good with callbacks to past events and having other characters recognize or acknowledge them, such as how Kotori reacted to IV, and how Tetsuo and the class rep reacted to seeing Giant Killer during IV and Shark's Duel, plus Droite and Gauche recognizing Yuma, and Yuma recognizing Photons as Kaito's archetype. It just seems that Armored Xyz should be used again somehow, as Shark gave it to Yuma as a symbol that Yuma had grown a little as a Duelist, and should continue to improve. It would be awesome if Yuma used it with III somehow, but yeah, my hunch is Atlanthal just uses its effect on Hope, but it would be neat if Hope copied Atlanthal with Armored Xyz. On that note, the opening for this season shows III, IV, and V (in semi-silhouette) alongside their ace Numbers (33, 15, and 9). Seeing as III and Yuma are going to have a tag Duel, will Yuma loan III the OOPArts Numbers for that Duel, sort of like he gave Shark Number 32 before the Dr. Faker Duel? And if so, maybe he'll somehow do the same when IV and V return eventually. Although why he'd give IV Giant Killer is unknown. It may have been IV's main Xyz (the only one he played in all his Duels), but its effect is sadistic. Whether III, IV, and V can even wield the Numbers with the same element of control without their crests is another thought to muse on. We're not really positive on whether the crests were removed, or just got disabled when they lost due to soul exhaustion (although Tron evidently HAD their souls, the bastard. He had their crests more or less rigged to stop protecting them and capture their souls). Also, whether Tron still has his crest's power is uncertain. He probably does, considering its powers were given directly to him by Barians, whereas I assume his sons had their crests supplied by Tron from his own power. On yet another note, he still had some power left after the Dr. Faker Duel, as he used the last of his power to save them. (Best fake-out ever) But he still had the Barian portal ability it seemed during the Yuma and Kaito Duel (don't fully remember). After his Duel with Yuma, Tron tried to use his crest's power to stop the Sphere Field, but it failed. I assumed originally because he had lost after wielding Coat of Arms, so his crest was weakened the same way as III, IV, and V. But Dr. Faker stated Tron's power was useless without the Numbers. Maybe the crests are powered by Numbers?
Jord200
Yeah, I was kind of wondering why Giat Killer and not Destiny Leo when IV flat out said it was his true ace. That being said, I can only think of two times in all of Yugioh where someone has won because of an alternate win condition. Yugi's first duel against Kaiba, and that Rare Hunter that beat Joey, so thats probably why. Even still, I'm hoping Yuma's the one who summons Atlanthal since it would mean Yuma using a non Hope Number. On a side note, I actually think Number 64 may be a FIRE monster. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-xaW0x5At0 I mean look at it. Its breathing fire. ( :31 ) That added with the fact there all those little Tanuki in the opening with it, makes me wonder what it does even more. Burn damage? Tokens? Both? ~British Soul~
On a side note, I actually think Number 64 may be a FIRE monster. It'll be an EARTH monster. Number 73 is WATER, thats a given, but do we know anything at all about the seventh and final Legendary Number? Let's see... Number 44 is associated with Durbe. Number 65 is associated with Vector. Number 54 is associated with Alit Number 46 is associated with Misael Number 64 is associated with Gilag. Number 73 is somehow related to Shark or Rio, and also almost certain to be related to Merag or Nasch, although I assume the former at the moment. The opposite is true for the remaining Number, which may be a little bit before we find out about it.

You were probs too distracted by the fire to even noticed the colour of the overlay units, but it's understandable. As for the final Legendary Number, I have a feeling we might not see that for a while... I'll say it'll be a couple of months before we see it imo. Azuh
I know that this place is probably a wrong place to ask, but does anyone actually know where I can DOWNLOAD subbed episodes for Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's and Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal? It would be nice to know if there is a torrent lurking around The whole Tanuki thing is just... I know Zexal goes the extra mile of being crazy but its just gone over the top weird >_>

And that's part of what makes me consider the next episode "filler without being filler". It's a one episode plot (the other Legendary Number Duels took 2) and is weirder than most episodes for no apparent reason.
Jord200
I have a feeling we won't see any new Numbers for a while. The epsiode spoilers show that, and with Kaito and Shark's duel probably ending in the manag this month, yeah.... Jord200
Well, this came out of nowhere. Could you please elaborate? Well, it was said Yuma and Astral want to try and join forces with Shark and Kaito. Shark and Kaito have 1 turn before their Life Points hit 0, and they die because of Number 13 and Number 31. After they duel, there will probably be a friendship speech chapter or something. The spoilers don't say anything about any new Numbers after Number 73. The guy who Yuma and III duel, well who else could he be? I say its highly likely he's one of the individuals with Heartland Fly. Who knows, maybe he has a Number, maybe he doesn't. I'm just happy Yuma will be using Number 6.
evilfusion
While it's probably true there won't be any new Numbers for a little bit, especially if Astral really does disappear for longer than an episode, there won't be any way for Yuma to retrieve Numbers. But, on the other hand, if Astral disappears, Yuma somehow still has access to the Numbers, notably Number 6. But we have gotten quite a few Numbers lately, so I don't think I'll complain much. Still, keep in mind that the episode spoilers only go up to the Yuma and III tag team. And what do you mean, individuals with Heartland Fly? Isn't Heartland Fly with the Barians? EmpoleMew
The one with the red aura looks kinda like Mr. Heartland while he was still human and the one with the green looks kinda like a midget Kaito. The one with the purple might be Charlie, which would make sense considering one of the Numbers in Number Hunters (Crazy Box) involves die rolling, which was his whole schtick. I have no idea about the other one.

Jord200
I was actually going to think that we'll end up seeing ThunderSpark and Captain Corn in the anime eventually as filler episodes I would like like it if Koron-chan appeared though. She's probably my favorite of the manga only charecters. Possibly because she actually wasn't killed off after her duel. Either way, I'm sure at least one of those 4 has a Number. I really hope this doesn't just because Chaos Xyz part 2 if you know what I mean.
