No some duels should have like 2 or 3 maybe even 4

Though if they have none it will go on forever

They also need to create something like the Dark Signer Arc
1) Why? That makes no sense from any point of view. While I believe they're overly ambitious in making 99 Numbers, I dont think the Numbers hunt is a one-season plot. I think it's the overreaching plot, that will continually drive the series even when other plot arcs take focus.

Also, cramming out 99 new cards will mean most won't get seen until much later packs, and that'll just be annoying from a player fan standpoint, having to wait for two or three packs just for one specific card that was used early in the series will get released.

2) Not every episode will have 0 Numbers, just like not every episode will have just 1. Evidently episode 14 shows 2 new Numbers, and I believe episode 11-13 (that area) has 2 more Numbers.

3) God, people need to shut the hell up with that sort of thing. THEY WILL. Obviously they'll make some sort of plot arc with consistent antagonists that pose a greater threat to a majority of people. They do so in every Yugioh series and they'll probably do it for Zexal, too. But you'll need to F***ING wait! The Dark Signer Arc didn't start until about 25 episodes into 5Ds. The Shadow Riders/Seven Assassins didn't start in GX until around 27.

So if they make a darker story arc, it'll probably be around episode 20+, while the earlier episodes introduce new characters and develop existing characters. It's one of the major obstacles of writing. You can't rush the "epic" storylines. First you need to get the audience to know the protagonists and their closest friends, and then pit them against high-stakes threats.

The series just started a few weeks ago, at 1 episode a week. Also, a lot of earlier episodes in almost any works pits the protagonists against minor conflicts and adversaries, with major threats usually surfacing for shorter spans of time to build up the expectation that the protagonist will have to fight them later.

Off the top of my head: Soul Hunter. He uses/collects Numbers and he's seen more than once in the opening (the only non-protagonist with this honor). According to Wiki, he isn't defeated in his duel with Yuma. Someone like that is bound to be a recurring threat for a while.

For starters, I agree with everything you said. Second, my question is, will Yuma be taking a Numbers from Soul Hunter, or will he take a number from Yuma?

From what I gathered, he ragequits (Heh, not really). So I assume no one loses a Number.

I'm curious how "multiple Number" duels work. Astral said the winner takes the loser's Number, but do they lose ALL Numbers or just one? Considering Astral will disappear if Yuma loses a Numbers Duel, I assume the former.

Well, we only know of 5 Numbers cards so far. Its hard to say, but your probably right. My theory is that the 2 Numbers cards that will appear in 11-13 or whatever will be used by one of Yuma's friends. Or mabye even his sister or grandma.

episode 7 kinda puzzling, the card galaxy queen, the card form in the frigment of the holder's imagination? you guys saw the queen that in his show, it copied the exact form of her into the card but then it build a deck around it that can able him to suppose 3 strong monsters in a turn? the duel seem pretty epic and oppressive to yuma lol.

ehh, just watched episode 1, main character pisses me off to much, wants to be duel champion...but doesn't know borderline anything, "Hey Barcerlona can I play for you'se next weekend? I've kicked a ball once or twice before." Didn't really like it tbh, rival seemed okay I guess, Exceed wasn't the worst either, but yea main character ruined it for me.

So you cross out the whole show because you don't like 1st episode? Geez, I hate people like you. Sure, first 1-2 episodes weren't that awesome, but the later ones are better
So you neg rep me for having an opinion? K whatever floats your boat, but my main problem was the protaganist and I don't see him changing so why continue to watch if the very thing I hate is the main thing in the show?

It's not that Exceeds can only destroy Exceeds, it's Numbers can only destroy Numbers.

It's an anime "this card is superior" rule. Same as how Earthbound Gods were immune to S/Ts and similar, traits they dont carry over in real life. In Zexal, Number monsters are much more powerful than the average card, requiring another Number to defeat it.

I found Yuma a bit obnoxious in episode 1, and in episode 3, I found him hilariously bad at the game. Episode 5 was kind of a "oh my god, the kid's too stupid for his own good". By episode 6, I kind of liked him.

To me, Yuma being bad at dueling and so headstrong, yet optimistic, is more interesting and amusing than annoying.

Is it just me, or did ALL the episodes disappear off youtube?
TV Tokyo or whatever is being VERY defensive of Zexal episodes. Youtube has been taking down all the episodes, openings, whatever.

It's hard to find them on Youtube, and that's only if you're lucky.
