Anyone else notice that Number 96's transformed state looks alarmingly similar to Don Thousand (the Barian God)? That could explain why Don Thousand seemed intent on having Vector ally with Number 96 in the first place, not to mention the implications that he was threatening the hell out of Vector when he and Number 96 arrived at the ruins.

Granted, I could be mistaken about what the dialogue between Vector and Don Thousand was saying last episode, since the sub isn't up yet, but the vibe I got was he wanted Vector to give Number 96 the Rank-Up Magic and claim Number 65 without Vector doing anything. Considering the 7 Legendary Numbers hold Don Thousand's power (and why would that be? Don Thousand is a Barian god, and the Legendary Numbers aren't Over-hundred; they're actually part of Astral's collection), this seems extremely significant.

Also, the opening shows what seems to be Astral and Don Thousand Overlaying, and Astral had that odd "memory" of him and Don Thousand fusing to cause the world's obliteration, and Number 96 is the memory of Earth being destroyed. Don Thousand also, last episode, said something about his memory lacking.

It's possible and Astral is the Astral World's god and Don Thousand is the Barian god without much more to it, but the worlds can't seem to interact directly, according to the first episode of Zexal II, so maybe they're counterparts similar to how Number 96 and Astral are counterparts. There are 7 Barian lords (2 currently MIA), 7 Legendary Numbers that hold Don Thousand's full power, and 7 Over-Hundred Numbers belonging to each of the Barian lords.

Duel was awesome. It was cool to see Number 65 and C65 right away, and if it weren't for the preview for this week that clearly showed Black Mist being Ranked-Up and Number 96 transforming, I wouldn't have seen that coming. The fact the Duel ended the way it did was fitting, and I'm just glad that Numeron Force wasn't involved. Nothing like good old, non-Ranked Up C39.

Also, another thing to my above theory. Astral says you need a Ranked Up soul to access the Astral World. The Barians use a power that "Rank-Up" by force. This implies to me that they're inferior to the Astral World, especially if you take note that if you need a "Ranked-Up soul" and the two worlds can't interact directly, the Barians created a power that would allow them to "Rank-Up".

The Rank-Up Xyzs in the anime can defeat Numbers. In addition, the Spell neutralizes Numbers, and based on Gilag's reactions in the Tag Duel (w/Yuma when Kotori had Rank-Up Magic), the Rank-Up Magics also allow the wielder to take the loser's Numbers/soul. Gilag was terrified because if he, a Barian, was defeated by a player using Rank-Up Magic, he'd disappear.

Alit also stated outright to Astral when he lost that Astral could take his soul (his Over-hundred Number), but Astral wasn't able to because it wasn't part of his Number collection. Barian's Force is presumably indiscriminate. And if the Barians consider their Over-hundred Numbers to be their souls of sort (this probably is more literal than Kaito referring to Galaxy-Eyes/Neo Galaxy as his soul), they also use Rank-Up Magics to become CNumbers.

In other words: they used Rank-Up Magic on their soul.

Astral used Xyz Reborn :o

I was surprised as well. Xyz Reborn was the last card I expected Astrtal to use tbh.

Thinking about Gauche and Droite's return. It makes me wonder: because he has been brainwashed by Barian's Force, he'll probs use a CXyz (which made me think of the Number Hunters set) and if he did use a CXyz then I think it'd be released in Shadow Specters (Even though I've seen people say that it may be in Number Hunters). That in turn made me think what would he Rank-Up and whether he has a second copy of Excalibur given the fact he gave it to Yuma OR he could Rank-Up one of his other Heroic Champions OR have a new boss.

Episode 28's subs are up. Apparently, Don Thousand knew where the Number was via Vector's memory (who has no idea what this means). And the odd reaction Vector had when entering the ruins was Don Thousand doing something (he refused to explain what he did) and Don Thousand seemed to also intend for Vector to absorb Number 96's power in the near future.

OMG it's III :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

From which we can infer that IV and V will be coming as well, (Though the credits suggested that, already)

Number 73 sounds like it might end up being Sharks new ace, or Rio's. Since, it seems like a major point meself.

The most interesting thing there, is what looks like Vector vs. Dark Mist, which then becomes Yuma instead? Or maybe it's Vector and Yuma? :O

Intriguing. Not only will Shark Duel against Rio, who'll have a Number, but Vector Duels against Number 96, then Yuma either Duels Number 96 or takes over Vector's Duel and...something happens to Astral and requires Yuma to Duel without him for once, PLUS III comes back?

Sounds unbelievably epic. It sounds like III and Yuma would have some sort of a tag Duel considering how that last episode title goes, with Number 6 probably involved. And with that in mind, coupled with IV and V in the opening, I bet IV and Shark will do something similar, and V and Kaito do similar. After all, those 3 had the personal relationship/rivalry with the corresponding protagonists.

And maybe we'll get more backstory on them?

Look at the top left. There's a blue monster similar to Zerofyne and Harpyuia.

I know. I wasn't referring to your comment, just my surprise to see a picture of 2 Numbers that so far have never been seen before. Besides, the preview said Rio's Number is Number 73.

There's also the monster in the front right that doesn't have its Number visible, but I don't think that one's been seen before, either. That they're on the cover might suggest that the pack has at least 4 completely new Numbers.

Also 3 and 4 in the logo clearly means another Terra-Byte reprint.

But Tera-Byte was an Ultra in GENF, it doesn't meet the reprint criteria.

Looking at the product page, I expected the new Chronomaly stuff to be stuff III will use when we next see him. At least we can expect to see the new Heroic Challenger stuff in this set used in the next week.

We have a luck-based Number and a "fortune"-based Number in Number Hunters. Please let this signal Charlie's return…

Imo, I don't think Charlie will return despite those 2 Numbers. If Charlie returns then so be it. Then again, I recall Charlie had a card that can change its level so he could use Number 49 and 85 with Dice Leveler.

That's an absurd number of new...Numbers. And all in English too! Seriously, I wasn't expecting this. I'm impressed. It is indeed 'the single-biggest surge of new Xyz Monsters ever released at one time'. Have any of these cards been released into the OCG yet, or are they TCG-exclusive at the moment?

Only #15 was released in OCG first so far, but it has been released in the TCG before.
