Plus, Rio being scred of cats? There's no way she'll like Cat-Chan
That's funny because both of those 2 were in the same scene near the start of the episode. (Cat-Chan was even sitting next to Rio too.)
Although Cat-Chan wasn't present when Rio cowered behind Shark when they encountered the cat.

I was also watching the previous episode, when Rio's bandages came off during the duel, that's pretty much what happened with Serenity in the original series.

Not to mention in the dubbed version they have the same english VA.

Plus, I bet the dubbed version of this episode:

Rio: I haven't duelled since that incident with IV so I need the practise.

and

Yuma: MAN! An Xyz summon and massive damage on the first turn, she is good.
Astral: Too good. It's as if...

That won't happen. Yuma's line after the burn was much too short, and Astral said nothing.

I don't think she'll say that either.

There is one difference, though - Serenity took her's off herself, while Rio's just fell loose :P
But the situation was pretty smiliar :P

Ep 5 is up dubbed. Just watched it. First ep I've watched in what feels like an eternity, having refused to watch the last one.

First off; I like Sentaro or whatever his name is character, for a one shot. I like the way he uses pencil and paintbrush as clips for his ponytail, just little things like that which are quite clever.

Shame the episode pretty much sucked. The duel was fairly awful, and its just getting so bland story wise.

Just the same thing with different characters and the whole blackmail thing, although Shark does desperate and trapped and all those kind of emotions better than Yuma. Loved his opening with dropping the ring and biting Sentaro's head off not to touch it. All that kindof stuff was done very well.

Gilag is just... yeah I know the show is aimed at the 10-15 age bracket so him being a bit goofy and a bit silly compared to the upcoming Misael and Durbe I can understand, but he's just too much. His manga drawings were just...cringe. What world dominating/destroying guy would do that? Seriously? It's like Blofeld playing with an action man or asking how the Giants got on at the weekend, its just stupid. Hope Durbe rips the crap out of him in a very public and disturbing way to get himself over.

The moment when Rio awakens and her bandages come off was... nicely handled overall. I was expecting it to be overrated, but it was pretty sweet. Her putting Shark down was hilarious, and he got his truly heroic moment carrying her out.

Still a pretty disappointing ep. Rio's got a chance to more or less save it although reading the above it doesn't sound promising.

Ps: It's confirmed: I'm skipping Alit's ep.

I'm interested to see who is going to use Number 106 (a VJ promo btw) a Rank 4 with some sort of field wiping effect with 2K ATK/DEF, maybe Alit or one of the other Barians.
Seven Barian lords.

First one (unless there is a massive sideswipe) is going to be 107.

So one each in reverse order?

Ps: For those who love their Numbers, my fic finishes tomorrow in spectacular fashion (shameless advert because fusion isn't here anymore).

It seems 106 is called Huge Rock Palm, Giant Hand. Alit better use some of the regular Numbers. At least 1. I don't even care if Astral can't take it for some dumb reaosn. Also, what do you think would happen if Astral tried to absorb a Barrian Number?
I don't think he can. Remember, Astral and Barian energies cannot directly interact. Thry're invisible to each other.

I think I found a picture of Misael. http://the-photon-st...122154/reminahl Thats not at all what I expected him to look like.

Well. It's interesting that a BARIAN of all things enjoys dueling with Yuma. Plus Rei suddenly becomes...confusingly relevant. Personally I'm not up for upgrades, but hey, Yuma wasn't the one who upgraded it. Plus Astral actually destroyed. I think I'll stick around a bit longer since these episodes sound more interesting than the Chaos Xyz crap we've been having lately.

$5 says that all of the supporting characters' duels are off-screen.
The show is only 20 minutes long you know.

Just watched Rio's episode subbed. I very much like her character in that she's quite similar to Anna in her tomboyish and independant attitude and protective nature regarding her brother, but isn't going to fall for Yuma. Her being exposed for having a weakness at the end was good after her beating everyone at everything, and her reasoning for that was sound. The duel was also fairly reasonable, even if Aika was all of the generic.

The other characters bought it down a lot though. Rei is just plain weird. Why'd he not make any attempt to wake the others up and help them? And as for Shark, "yeah I saw you duelling a Barian assassin whose out to destroy us in the lamest fashion possible, and you were struggling for loads of it, but I just stayed in the background and didn't give you any encouragement or support or anything." Shark was actually very poor this week. Would have thought more of him if he'd casually backfisted Tetsuo one for crushing on Rio in passing at some point.

So, hit and miss at best. Next two weeks look dreadful though.

Misael and Kaito might well be having to go into full salvage mode at this rate.
