Yeah, Yuma does tend to lean towards one-trick pony. But Bye Bye Damage is broken, so they can't use that for anything worthwhile, Battle Break is pretty much doomed to be Zexal's Sakuretsu Armor (it will never be successfully activated). Sakuretsu itself, as of the Gauche vs Fuya Duel, continues this running gag.

How many cards does Yuma use that either halve damage, prevent destruction in battle + another effect, etc? Way too many.

True, but his only good/competitive cards are

Monster Reborn ( How many people have used this over the years? )
Card Car D
TemtemTempo
Excalibur ( He hasn't even used it since Gauche gave it to him. )
Bye Bye Damage ( As you said, its broke. )
Xyz Treasure ( Broke )
Seven Store ( Broke )

Even though he's only ever used 4 of them ( 96 doesn't count ), he's got

Hope/Hope Ray
Revise
Galaxy Queen ( Good as far as Rank 1 Xyz go )
Volcasaurus
Freezerdon ( Anime version )
Big Eye
Shock Ruler
Alanthal ( Broken in the anime, but I doubt he would ever used it considering all of the chaos it caused. )

Overall, Yuma's cards are crap for the most part, he has to depend on the same feeble cards or broke plot devices.

No, we're not going to know anything beyond ABYR until sometime this month when V-JUMP comes out. Even then, we'll only get a name. The wait between August and November's sets means we won't see news (aside from the name-drop this month) until maybe September, or come October.

For the most part, we'll be seeing DP13 Kite's news this month, maybe a promo of some sort (highly doubt it), and that's about it. September is pretty much when you'll be hearing a decent amount of news.

Half Unbreak, Half Guard, Guts Guard, Fighting Band, Gagaga Gaurd, Gagaga Shield, Achacha Swords Fighter

They all have really similar names too.

Goes with his characters whole deal of being the polar opposite to Yusei (which most of us may agree is a good thing but done to too much of an extreme.) I'd say he has more decent cards than that though. Gagaga's and all their support for starters.

Can't wait to see Xyz Treaure come out and see it's nerf :P

Real effect: Activate only during your Standby Phase, if you have less life points than your opponent and control less monsters. Pay 1000 Life Points, discard your entire hand, and Release all Xyz monsters you control; draw 1 card for every 2 Xyz monsters released. Then immediately end your turn, take 1 billion points of damage, and give your opponent your trousers.

Maybe...

Oh right, never realised how important V-Jump was for all this announcement stuff.

Only reason I ask is because there just seems to be such an aura of... finality... about the series at the minute, and lack of news about the next set given how quickly we got ROTD and ABYR one after the other made me a bit concerned :/

Upon consideration, the anime probably isn't over just yet, even after the Duel with Dr. Faker. There are too many plot threads hanging, and developments to be had. It COULD end, but that would suck badly.

- We dont know much about Shark's sister as a character. With him so close to her to "cheat" in the finals and swear vengeance on IV and Tron to such a degree, there should/must be more to her as a character. Maybe.

- We still dont know the identities of at least 50 Numbers. While possible the manga will handle that, it doesn't seem right.

- We dont know much more about Astral's origin or his role. We also dont know why the Numbers were scattered, or what connection the Numbers have with the Balian World.

- We dont know the terms of the deal Dr. Faker, and likely Tron, have with the Balian World.

- Number 96 is probably going to resurface.

- Kaito still hasn't settled his rematch desire with Astral/Yuma

- Giving Yuma all the Numbers, most we've never seen, out of nowhere is a stupid ending.

- Yuma still has that "contract" with the Door that brought Astral to this world.

- It's likely that Yuma will eventually Duel Astral in some form. Or that Astral will Duel again in the future, at least.

- Kaito's body weakening from overusing Photon Mode was not yet resolved. He lost to Tron, but not because of his Photon Mode forcing a forfeit like the Joey vs Marik Duel. And if he Duels Dr. Faker, and there still isn't a resolution to the Photon Mode overuse, there must be more mileage that can be gained. They've been building up the fact that Photon Mode has been taking a toll on Kaito, even showing him nearly collapsing a few times, and Droite was worried about it in episode 50, with V and Tron also commenting on it. Yet nothing bad's happened in that sense. For that matter, we still don't know exactly what Photon Mode DOES, although the Duel with Tron has reinforced that Galaxy-Eyes is in some way bonded to it, as Kaito winced after Summoning it.

And more possible things to resolve. And that's just assuming there isnt already a plot involving a Balian World enemy.

Oh yeah, one thing I forgot to ask earlier, has anything been announced about the set following Abyss Rising yet? Thought they usually would have by now.
yeah, the next set (Cosmo Blazer) will come out November 17th, and will feature Numbers 53 and 92, Faker's Numbers (from what i heard)
So Heartland has Number 92 and Number 53. One is Heart-eartH Dragon, the other is simply Heart-eartH respectively, etc.
i thought those Numbers were Faker's?

Eh?! Well, of course it's just a change of timeslots. After all, they're just advancing seasons, right? RIGHT?
Is it sad that I confuse/mix-up Heartland with Faker on a daily basis now? (Just their names anyway)
It is indeed, very sad.

There's still way too much left unresolved and unanswered to consider the end of the series already. 5Ds had left one or two abandoned plot topics, but otherwise that had tied up almost all the loose ends. Zexal has WAY more to take care of to even consider it a satisfying conclusion.

Not to mention we've only seen 30 or so Numbers. IV supposedly has 6 we have yet to see. Tron has 10 ( from Kaito ) we have yet to see. If it ends, a little over half the Numbers will simply not even be known by owner.

Yuma- 6, 7, 11, 12, 16, 17, 19, 25, 33, 34, 39, 61, 83, 96
Yuma Manga- 17, 22, 39, 50, 91
Shark- 32
Shark Manga- 47, 63
Tron- 8, 9, 10, 20, 30, 56, 69, ten unknown
IV- 15, 40, 88, supposedly six unknown
Kaito Manga- 10, 20
Luna Manga- Unknown ammount
Dr. Faker- 53, 92

I would like to think they have something big planned for 1-5, but who knows.

Evidently, Dr. Faker took all of Yuma and Tron's Numbers, except one...... Lets review the Numbers that have actually been summoned again since their debut.

Hope Too many to count
Revise A whopping 4 if I believe.
Shark Drake 2
Tera-Byte 1
Crimson Shadow 1
Genome Heriter 2
Coat of Arms 1
Acid Golem 1
Illumknight 1
Goldrat 1
Black Corn 2
Machu Mach 1
Dyson Sphere 1
Giant Killer 2
Heaven's Strings 1
Lucky Stripe 1

What does this tell you....

He missed one?

Well, episode previews do mention them using Utopia again...

The Duel took a weird turn with the Zexal Weapons, but it was a nice Duel anyway. The part with Tron near the end seemed pretty well handled, depending what was said.

What the hell was with the animation at the VERY end of the episode? Seriously, Dr. Faker looked...totally out of place.
