I just watched 62, and even though I knew how the duel was going to end, all the build up made it seem so, so, utterly lame...I mean c'mon Shark. Technically, to Yuma, Tron played 2 Numbers he'd never seen: Number 56 and Number 30 (although the audience knew Kaito had both). At least he recognized Number 10, but I felt disappointed that Goldrat didn't use its effect, and Yuma also didnt remember that Number 56 was the Number taken from the mall guy. (He and Astral had seen the number on the guy's shoulder, but Kaito beat them to beating the guy) Sure, it's disappointing that Tron didnt manage to randomly Summon one of the 10+ Numbers Kaito never showed, we all secretly want the new Numbers to be Summoned properly, so that we know its Rank and number of Materials, plus the potential epicness of how they're brought out and what they do. Johnny Raptor Posted July 24, 2012 Report Share Posted July 24, 2012 Here's things we got from this episode -Mr. Heartland asked Dr. Faker to suspend the tournament after Kaito lost, but Faker told him that everything's okay as long as they have the sphere field. -Tron took Kaito's soul, but Yuma and Astral assume that if they can beat him and destroy his powers everyone will be back to normal. -Tron knows about the sphere field ("so he has completed it"). -Tron says that when he was wandering about the other world he gave up on living many times, but at those times he always remembered Kazama's words about friends, friendship and never giving up. With Faker's betrayal he realised just how meaningless friends and friendship are, but he finds the "never give up" part really precious because thanks to that he had a hope called revenge and came back to life. -Tron explains that the crests he gave III, IV and V were directly connected to their souls as a price to gain power, so if they use strong Numbers and lose a duel their souls will be exhausted. -Tron asks Yuma why he doesn't want to take revenge on Faker and he answers that his father wouldn't want him to do that. Then Tron suggest that he shouldn't be too sure about that as Kazama might have already begun his revenge by sending Astral to this world because Astral has the power to destroy it (so he's like a messenger of revenge). -Astral is unsure whether Tron's words were the truth or not because he couldn't get his memories back yet. Yuma assures him that he's not a bad guy and tells him that he will definitely not let Tron and Faker get the Numbers. He trusts Astral and that he will use the Numbers for the right thing. But, knowing Yugioh, they're probably gonna change that and that he really is a good guy with good intentions. Also, about that 'crest connected to the soul' part, that explains what happened with the three brothers. However I didn't really flip. I think bringing back all the old Numbers for another hoorah was pretty cool rather than just lots of new ones making 2 minute appearances in this situation. I read somewhere that in the Faker duel; Kaito will use Number 75: Photon something. That would make me flip. So yeah anyway, Zexal. Just watched ep 65 (subbed) and couldn't wait, and watched 66 (raw, this being the first time I've ever watched an ep raw because I was that excited). I mean really excited. Had to watch 65 subbed on animeavenue, as anime44 has screwed up somehow putting the subs over ep 66, weirdly. Episode 65 set it up perfectly and I'm glad I waited for subs to know what was going on with effects esp where Sphere Field was concerned, and the action was getting me pumped with the insane Number fest that was garunteed but still enjoyed. Random Numbers, that would be why Hope was forth choice then (look at Yuma's face when he gets it, he's so happy). Enjoyed the pre match talk about the brothers and planting the seeds of doubt and evil around Astral again, was brilliant. But it was just all about watching 66. I didn't understand anything that was going on. I didn't understand what some of the cards did in places. I didn't understand the long talk in the middle where Tron presumably says what is going to happen that will 'jeopardise thousands of lives' and Yuma crying and stuff. And I don't care. That. Was. Awesome. It was so worth the wait. Thank you writers, that was just the best. Please see it through to the end. Apparently, Number 69 in the anime can also detach an Overlay Unit to destroy a monster that attacks it (or something like that). That's...insane. In addition to automatically negating all opposing Monster Effects and being able to steal them at will? Tron's face was DEFINITELY unexpected and while it looks weird, it also looks pretty cool, and explains why his left side has always been completely covered, especially the eyepiece. [/quote] Looked up after 65 what Taskurton and Amarlyse do because I swore I hadn't seen them before and guessed they must have graveyard effects of some relevance. For my first raw ep there wasn't that much in 66 that threw me, didn't really know what was going on with Lightning Blade going away and re-equipping but guessed Coat of Arms additional effect as well as the other Heraldics (so pretty much a graveyard archtype, cool). [spoiler=Ep 67] Yuma's set card was Half Unbreak Tron activates Hope Ray's [b]anime[/b] effect stolen by Coat of Arms, detaching an overlay unit to raise ATK by 500 (ATK 3600) and lower Hope Rays by 1000 (ATK 2700). Attacks; Yuma activates Half Unbreak (LP 50). Tron does something with his draw card. Activates effect of Heraldic Beast Twin Eagle in graveyard, banishing it to reattach Coat of Arms with 2 overlay units Would have said duel would end on Yuma's next turn given how low his LP is, but just reading Twin Eagles effect makes me think it might go an extra round.[/spoiler] Shaping up to be pretty good finale.
