Shark flipped up her face-down. "I activate Power Misdirection!"

Power Misdirection
Trap/Counter
Activate only when your opponent activates a Spell, Trap, or Monster card effect during a player's Battle Phase. Negate the effect and increase the ATK and DEF of a face-up monster on the field by 1000 until the end of the turn. If a monster you control is destroyed as a result of battle during the Battle Phase in which you activate this effect, draw 1 card.

The whirlwind instead surrounded the Messenger, powering him up and deflecting Skreech's attack. The Messenger then whacked Skreech in the face with his mace, destroying the reptile. (Shark: 3500 LP)
"Now Skreech's effect activates, sending 2 WATER monsters, Nimble Sunfish and Fishborg Blaster, to my Graveyard from my Deck! Plus, I get to draw a card!"
She then drew her card and sent her monsters to the Graveyard. "I now go to my Main Phase 2, and I activate Salvage, giving me back those Nimble Sunfish and Fishborg Blaster!"
A crane appeared and pulled the two cards out of Shark's Graveyard. "I set a face-down card and end my turn!"

"I activate my face-down card, Season of Sacrifice. It allows me to sacrifice one servant of the Twelve on my field to force you to remove 1 card in your hand from play until the End Phase, as well as allowing me to draw 1 card."

The Messenger pulled out a knife and cut his own throat, sending out two shockwaves with one hitting DiTra's deck and the other one Shark's hand. DiTra drew a card and looked at it.

"Now that I control no monsters I can shuffle June into the Deck to Special Summon May - Fifth of the Twelve!"

A brown, synthetic angel appeared. She appeared very feminine, with four big, red wings and long apendages flowing from her head like hair.

"When May is Summoned both players draw cards until they have 3 cards in their hands, and they both take damage equal to the number of cards they drew times 1000!"

DiTra drew 2 cards, and her life points dropped by 2000.

"Now I activate Might of the Messiah and equip it to May."

The angel's attack power raised to 4500.

"Attack her face-down."
Season of Sacrifice
Quick-Play Spell Card
Tribute 1 Level 2 "of the Twelve" monster you control. Select 1 card in your opponent's hand at random and remove it from play face-down. Then, draw 1 card. Returned the card removed from play by this card's effect during the End Phase.

May - Fifth of the Twelve
Fairy/Effect/EARTH/10 Stars
This card can only be Special Summoned from your hand when you control no monsters by shuffling 1 Level 10 "of the Twelve" monster in your hand, other than "March - Third of the Twelve", into your Deck. You cannot Normal Summon the turn this card was Special Summoned this way. When this card is Summoned, both players draw cards until they have 3 cards in their hand. Then, both players takes damage equal to the number of cards they drew x1000. During your End Phase, return this card to your Deck and Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower monster from your Graveyard.
ATK/4000 DEF/4000

Might of the Messiah
Equip Spell Card
When this card is activated, you can discard 1 "of the Twelve" monster. Equip only to a Level 10 "of the Twelve" monster. Increase the ATK of the equipped monster by 500 for each other monster on your field and each "of the Twelve" monster in your Graveyard. When the equipped monster is returned from your side of the field to the Deck and this card is sent to the Graveyard, deal damage to your opponent equal to half the original ATK of the equipped monster.
Shark had her Fishborg Blaster removed from her hand, drew her cards, and took the damage. (Shark: 1500 LP)
However, when May attacked the face-down, i flipped up to reveal a cute blue fish. (100 DEF)
"Hah! Say hello to my Nimble Sunfish! I can send a Fish, like Nimble Manta, to my Graveyard from my Deck to Special Summon another Nimble Sunfish in Defense Mode!"
Once the little fish was destroyed, a second Sunfish floated down and turned its side to face the giant monster. (100 DEF)

"That will be of no concern to me." DiTra replied calmly. "During my End Phase May will return to my deck, and due to Might of the Messiah it will deal 2000 points of damage to you when it does."

May did some kind of dance, shooting petals everywhere on the field, but they were apparently harmless. When she stopped she looked at Shark, her light, green eyes staring at Shark.

"Maybe you're not worthy to be in the tournament after all?" DiTra said and pointed at Shark. "I end my turn."

As DiTra uttered the words May was sucked into her Deck and a beam shot out of the Might of the Messiah card, going straight towards Shark.

((Now come up with some kind of card that halves the effect damage when discarded or something :P))

Shark grinned. "I activate the effect of Ironclad Puffer in my hand!"

Ironclad Puffer
WATER/Fish/5/1400/300
If this card is in your hand when you are about to take more than 1000 points of damage to your Life Points, you may activate this card's effect. Halve the damage to your Life Points, then Special Summon this monster.

An armored pufferfish appeared in front of Shark and took some of the damage by inflating. (Shark: 500 LP) (1400 ATK)
"I assume it's my turn now?"

"When one of the Twelve is returned to my Deck I can Special Summon a monster from my grave."

Messenger appeared once again, holding his mace ready towards Shark's both fish.

"Your turn."

"Hm. I suppose extreme pancake-making would be helpful to a guy who jumps around dimensions...yeah..." He ate a pancake before whispering to Desna again "Wait...and that thing makes them agreeable to anything? Hell yeah!" He turned back to his parents. "Hey, mom, dad...can I have, like, a few hundred dollars? In cash?" His father replied. "Well, we can give you $150, no more. Will that be OK?" Chase grinned. "Yeah, that'll be fine. Thanks!" "No problem." His mother said, as he went to get the money.

Haseo was surprised most people didn't ask about anima when it was mentioned so this was one of the rare chances that he'd actually get to explain it to someone, Anima is the life energy that is generated by all living things and it is one of the energies that swirl around in duels, and for those who know how to use it you can affect the energies of living things to attack defend and even travel, it is in other words the flowing energy of life that connects all living things, it can also be split into six attributes and yin and yang I use the yin. With that Haseo lifted his left hand as a dark mist swirled around it, And this is what it looks like if you concentrate the yin.

"You can draw all you like," Bjorn goaded, "You'll never defeat the mighty Thor!"

"Huh, I beg to differ," Sire Ronald counteracted, "I summon Gale Dogra in Attack Position!" A green bug with blue wings was summoned on Sire Ronald's side of the field. It didn't look like it had anywhere near the strength to take on Thor, and its stats, or rather lack of them, proved this sight. But that wasn't why Sire Ronald summoned it.

Insect-type/EARTH/Level 2/650 ATK/600 DEF

"Now, by sacrificing 3000 Life Points, I shall use Gale Dogra's effect to send an Iron Chain Dragon from my Extra Deck to my Graveyard!" Sire Ronald sent the specified card to the Graveyard. Why he'd want it there would soon be obvious.

Sire Ronald's LP: 4000 --> 1000

"And then I shall activate Graceful Charity." Sire Ronald continued on, "This allows me to draw 3 cards, but I must then send 2 cards in my hand to the Graveyard, and I choose both my Iron Chain Locomotives. I also activate Dragon's Mirror, removing my monsters from play as Fusion Material for thy most powerful opponent, Ultimate Iron Chain Dragon!"

A mirror appeared right next to Gale Dogra. The mirror grew awry, and out from it came a massive dragon. The back of the armor on its body was covered in broken chains. It wielded a chainsaw in one hand, and gargantuan cannons were placed on its shoulders. Its roar sounded mechanochemically, and its golden eyes were glazed over, almost like nothing was in them.

Dragon-type/EARTH/Level 12/2500 ATK/1300 DEF

"Pah, it looks weaker so far, and I plan to keep it that way!" Bjorn made a second taunt, "Skill Drain, activate! With this, I can negate all effects that resolve on the field! I may have to use up 1000 Life Points, but its a price I'm willing to pay!"

Bjorn's Life Points: 4000 --> 3000

"It's also a sacrifice that shall be in vain!" Sire Ronald interjected, "First, I activate Remove Trap to destroy your Skill Drain. I then activate Reborn the Monster to resurrect the Iron Chain Snake that thou has defeated before, and chain it with Inferno Reckless Summon to summon one twice more!"

Three chains shot up from the ground, one next to Ultimate Iron Chain Dragon and the other two on Gale Dogra's side. The chains limped downwards, but didn't fall all the way down to the ground. Upon close inspection, it was to tell that these were really snakes, whose bodies had adopted a chainlike fashion.

Reptile-type/EARTH/Level 3/800 ATK/1200 DEF

"Iron Chain Snakes, equip yourselves to the opposing Thor," Upon Sire Ronald's command, all three Iron Chain Snakes lunged onto Thor, who then struggled to take them off, only to have them lunge back on.

Thor, Lord of the Aesir's ATK/DEF: 3500/2800 --> 1100/400

"Ultimate Iron Chain Dragon, destroy it and send it to the Graveyard!" Ultimate Iron Chain Dragon fired its cannons at the mighty being as it was distracted. It eventually succumbed to the attack, but not before Bjorn was hit by a stray shot.

Bjorn's LP: 3000 --> 1600

"And now I attack directly with Gale Dogra," The insect rammed into Bjorn. The attack wasn't much, but enough to send his Life Points to less than a mere quarter of what he started with.

Bjorn's LP: 1600 --> 950

"Are you done now?" Bjorn asked, Sire Ronald nodding in agreement, "In that case, you've just signed your own death warrant, because I remove Mara of the Nordic Alfar from play to resurrect my Polar God King, and deal 800 damage to your Life Points while I'm at it."

Sire Ronald's LP: 1000 --> 200

Bjorn then proceeded to draw a card, only to realise that in all this time, his entire Deck had vanished into nothing.

"This is impossible," Bjorn stuttered, "I added Penguin Knight... three of them, just to counteract this cheap tactic!"

"You are not worthy of the Nordic Powers!" Thor spoke to Bjorn, "I shall punish you right here and now!"

Bjorn pleaded to be spared, but this plea fell on deaf ears. Thor had already dropped the hammer on him... literally. Bjorn's body was pulverized in an instant, blood, flesh and bone soaring in all different directions. Thor had then vanished as quickly as it appeared, leaving Sire Ronald to deal with the mess.

"Thou shall rest in peace..." Sire Ronald whispered softly, before collecting the entirety of Bjorn's broken body and heading to a cemetery to bury him.

"Now, Alien Mars! Finish off the last of his Life Points!" Shoku watched as his monster lashed out one of its tentacle-arm things at his opponent, dropping off his remaining 650 Life Points. He stepped forward as his Duel Disk folded up and the holograms disappeared. "You almost had me there. Good game," he said as he offered his hand.

His opponent shook it heartily. "Thanks. You should really try entering a tournament sometime, dude. I heard there's a new one starting somewhere in Mu soon."

"Really? I've been trying to get there. Where should I go to get more info?"

[OOC: Someone else should answer this question, as Shoku is a newbie street duelist. That, and I don't know where he would go in this city.]

-------------------------------

Huang stepped off of his land and into the surrounding village boundaries. He had almost never had reason to leave, but this was a golden opportunity to him. If all went well--which, of course, it would--he could finally claim back land from the pesky Atlantean Empire. He'd have to play things right to accomplish this, though. His first stop would be his Emperor's palace, to report his entry to the new tournament.

Pulling his deck out of a pocket on the inside of his uniform, he selected a card from it. "Come to my aid, Jade Horse!" A large horse, wearing armor made of green stone, emerged from the card and stood in the grassy field. Huang slipped the card back into his deck and climbed onto the horse's back. "Our destination is the Emperor's tower, in the city of Babylon. Onward!" With this last word, the horse set off at an astounding speed, making its way to the capital.

Shark placed Fishborg Blaster back in her hand, and drew. "First, I will be getting A Legendary Ocean from my removed from play area thanks to Gold Sarcophagus!"
The gold box reappeared, and she took the card from it.
"Next, I will activate Angel Baton"

Angel Baton
Spell/Normal
Draw 2 cards, then send 1 card to the Graveyard. Negate any Spell, Trap, and Monster Card effects that activate or have to do with your Graveyard until the End Phase.

"By sending Fishborg Blaster to the Graveyard, I can draw 2 cards!"
Obviously, she drew 2 cards.
"And now, I will play A Legendary Ocean!"
A rumbling sound could be heard, and behind Shark, a massive tidal wave poked over the stadium walls, with two more appearing to either side of DiTra. The tidal waves washed into the arena, submerging the two women in water, though DiTra didn't feel wet, nor did she get swept away by the current, or even lose oxygen. The water was holographic. Ancient ruins popped out of the ground, and fish started swimming around the arena-turned-fishbowl.

Desna nodded epically. "Let's do this."

Chase grinned. "Finally. C'mon." He turned back to his parents. "Bye, guys! See you...sometime!" "Goodbye!" they called as Desna and Chase walked out the door. They went back to the shed, and wheeled out the D-Wheels. "OK...here we go. Off to adventure! To win! To...you know, what, screw drama, let's just go." He jumped onto his D-Wheel, and accelerated down the road. He looked back at Desna. "Race you." He pushed the accelerator, and roared off down the road.

Desna grinned as he gunned the engine of his borrowed Duel Runner. He expertly swerved in and out of traffic, making maneuvers that shouldn't be humanly possible that allowed him to gain on Chase, even though the Duel Runner he was driving wasn't as fast. "Hey, kid!" Desna called out. "How about we have a Turbo Duel? If we're going to be working together, we have to know each other's strengths and weaknesses! However, there's a catch. I play by some modified rules. If you can survive against me for 5 of your turns, you automatically win. How does that sound?"

"Sounds good...confident, aren't you." He grinned. "I assume I can go first?" He accelerated, drawing his hand without waiting for an answer. "Speed World 2, set on!" The area around Desna and Chase turned a purpleish color. "Let the fun begin...my turn! Draw!" He grinned. "You aren't winning easily, no matter how good you think you are."

"First, I send Hectarice to my Graveyard to add Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen to my hand! And I activate it!" Behind him, a white temple-like room rose up. "I activate the effect of Valhalla! When I control no monsters, I can Special Summon one Fairy-type monster from my hand. Come forth, Darklord Asmodeus!" A tall angel with black wings, wearing black and white robes leapt out of the temple.

"Now, I summon Messenger of the Fallen Angels!" A smaller fairy, also with black wings, appeared.

Messenger of the Fallen Angels

This card can be counted as 2 Tributes for the Tribute Summon of a "Darklord" monster. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can send 1 "Darklord" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard.

"In addition, I actiavte the effect of Asmodeus! Once per turn, I send one Fairy monster from my deck to the Graveyard. I choose Darklord Superbia!" A card slid out of his deck, and he grabbed it, putting it in the Graveyard slot.

"I set one card, and I end my turn."

Hilda was already getting bored with the man's rambling, but it would be rude, even for her, to tell him to be quiet when she was the one who asked.
"So I'm to believe that you just randomly pop up like this?" She giggled again. "To be quiet honest I don't be-"
She stopped herself as she felt a new power flow through her. She then chuckled again.
"Bjorn is dead." She said, and smirked.

DiTra looked at the ruins around her, but overall she didn't seem impressed.

Desna drew his card, grinning. "Hey! How many times do you think I can Synchro Summon in one turn?"

Shark continued her turn. "Because of A Legendary Ocean, my WATER monsters have their Levels decreased, meaning that I can Normal Summon Rage of Deep Sea in Attack Mode!"
Some of the fish swimming around started circling up into a massive ring of spinning fish. The apparition of what could only be Poseidon could be seen above the ring. (0 ATK -> 200 ATK)
"Now my Rage's effect! He gains 500 ATK for each Fish-Type, Aqua-Type, and Sea Serpent-Type monster in my Graveyard, and because I have Nimble Sunfish, Nimble Manta, and Fishborg Blaster in my Graveyard, my Rage gains 1500 ATK!"
More fish joined the mass below the image of Poseidon as they circled faster and faster. (200 ATK -> 1700 ATK)
Shark had used up most of her cards to acquire a puffer fish with 1600 ATK, a tiny mambo with 300 DEF, and a bunch of fish treated as one monster with 1700 ATK. It didn't seem like an effective strategy, but something seemed off...

((Lady is forcing me to stretch this out to 4 lines, so this'll have some pointless filler. Kinda like 5Ds season 2.))

Chase looked over at Desna. "Hm... still confident. Well, Synchro spam as much as you want, but you won't defeat my Darklords. You know, there's a semi-interesting story about this deck. I was thinking a while back about what kind of deck to use. Of course, mythical cards are really the only ones you can get in Mu, but I don't really care for most legends. But there was one. The tale of a group of angels, who had been seduced by evil, and strive to destroy good. Plus they have epically badass power. Obviously, Darklords. But anyway. Continue."

Haseo could tell that while he was talking the woman had been bored and he would probably leave soon but then she talked about someone dieing, he took a deep breath and when he exhaled he began to talk again. Bjorn, is he the one who made Thor angry I don't know what happened but seems like that guy seriously pissed him off it's rare for someone to die by their own card, but I'm surprised you were able to feel someone death. Alex returned a couple of days later. His dragon landed him in the capital city of the Muan empire. It disappeared and Alex ran over to his friend Haseo. He was seated in his house, looking towards something, which he had probably sensed.
"You sense it too then" Alex said quietly. "Worse now that the imperial princess is power hungry and has three polar gods.
Haseo, when have we ever lied to each other? What bothers you?"

Shark raised her hand towards the sky. "And now, I will Exceed Summon!"
A swirling vortex appeared in between the two, and both Rage of Deep Sea and Ironclad Puffer turned into blue beams of light, which entered the galaxy-like vortex.
"Exceed Summon! No. 3! (3-Factorial) Deepsea Cerberus!"

Haseo looked over to the stranger that was way to overly familiar with him, he had never seen the person before and his expression turned extremely dark Cur, who do you think you are to talk to me like that, i know we've never met before and for a mere servant like yourself to talk to me like that then you'd need more power then you command far more power then you do. The air around Haseo was different then it was when he began talking it was more regal and intimidating lesser people would simply bow in his presence.

DiTra looked at the giant monster, one head attacking her monster, and another head bursting out on her.

"Trap Card open, Negate Attack." She said, flipping her face-down up and revealing the well-known card Negate Attack. Once the monsters attack had been negated, all the holograms on the field disappeared and DiTra held out her hand towards Shark. "You're stronger than I thought. You are my champion."

"You don't rememeber me?" Alex questioned. "Oh right. Stupid dimensional travelling. THIS Haseo doesn't know me does he? We'll just have to start from step 1 then" he muttered.
"You'll find that I do have more authority than a servant, and probably more authority than you. My name is Alex Elemental. Guardian of the Elemental Dragons, and dimensional traveller. I already know you Haseo. But you agree when I say that the anima is growing. Using only Yin will get you nowhere. You need to use the attributes in harmony. My Elemental Dragons are living proof, and can be said to be, the most concentrated form on Anima. We must talk in more detail. Then I'v got another meeting to go to. Come, we'll go to my home."

Haseo now looked at Alex as if he wanted to kill him, There are two reason that i know you are lying, one your elemental dragons only use attributes not yin and yang even the dark attribute ones have a pathetic amount of yin; and two the other versions of myself in the multiverse don't use the name Haseo only I use it because I travel from world to world and it stops people from confusing me with my counter parts, and if you knew anything about anima you'd know the greatest source of it is Rainbow Anima Dragon. Haseo reached out his hand towards Alex and a black smoky substance extended from his hand to just before Alex's neck and when it faded a sword was in it's place.

Shark was rather shocked. As the holographic ocean around them disappeared, she knelt before DiTra. "I would be honored, Your Grace."

Desna grinned. "Alright! Let's get started! I draw, and I activate Speed Spell - Angel Baton, drawing 2 cards and sending Tech Genus Symbolizer to the Graveyard!"
He discarded the card, then drew 2.
"Now, I will Special Summon Tech Genus Striker from my hand, and Special Summon Tech Genus Werewolf as well!"
Two more monsters appeared, one a blue-armored warrior, the other a fierce cyborg werewolf. (800 ATK, LV2) (1200 ATK, LV3)
"Now I will Synchro Summon!"
The warrior leapt into the air and became 2 rings, while the werewolf became 3 stars.
"Limiter Removal, Level Five! Regulator Open! Thruster Warm up, OK! Up Link All Clear! Go! Synchro Summon! Come on! Tech Genus Hyper Librarian!"
The array erupted to reveal a strange figure with a white robe and a book. (2400 ATK, LV5)
"But I'm not done! I now Normal Summon Tech Genus Beast Mistress!"
A beautiful woman appeared from a plant, a thorny whip in hand. (1400 ATK, LV3)
"With her effect, I can Special Summon a Level 2 or lower Tech Genus monster from my Deck, and I choose Tech Genus Missing Link!"
She cracked her whip, and an ugly fishman-like monster from a bad science fiction movie appeared. (900 ATK, LV2)
"Now my Link's effect activates! When he is Special Summoned, I can lower his Level by 1 to Special Summon another Tech Genus monster from my Deck, like Tech Genus Shield Lion!"
The creature roared, and a armored lion appeared. (600 ATK, LV4)
"Time to Synchro Summon again!"
The lion became 4 rings, while the fishman turned into a single star.
"Synchro Command! Limiter Removal, Level Five! Portal Aperture at 70% and increasing! OK! Go! Synchro Summon! Appear now! Tech Genus Booster!"
A fiery giant with an engine-like device on his back appeared from the beam of light. (2400 ATK, LV5)
"Now I draw a card thanks to my Librarian, and I will use this card! By removing Tech Genus Gear Zombie in my Deck, I can Special Summon Tech Genus Harmonizer Snake from my hand!"
Another monster appeared, this time a plastic-looking snake with a tuning fork for a tail. (0 ATK, LV1)
"And since I have a Tuner on my side of the field, I can Special Summon Tech Genus Symbolizer from my Graveyard!"
A circular stone tablet appeared, though it had a glowing red symbol on it. (0 ATK, LV1)
"Time to Synchro Summon once more!"
Harmonizer Snake hissed musically, becoming a single ring, while Beast Mistress and Symbolizer became a total of 4 stars.
"Limiter Removal, Level Five! Synchro coordinates accepted, preparing to receive in 10, 9, 8, 7! Synchro Summon, appear now, Tech Genus Data Seeker!"
A beautiful woman wearing cybernetic armor and a helmet with many wires attached to it that covered her eyes floated from the beam of light. (300 ATK, LV5)
"When she is Synchro Summoned, I can add a card that supports Tech Genuses, like TG-SX1, to my hand, which I will do, plus I get another card from my Librarian!"
He drew a card, then added a card to his hand.
