Was browsing the forum and saw a contest for 1v1 splicing and it reminded me I still have some old splices I made on my computer. Some are serious, some are funny, either way enjoy!

Nothing to big or special here. Just my first attempts at splicing:
Name: Duskops
Story:Just a shinigami design

Name: Gastodon
Story: Ghost/rock type.

Name: Mew3.0
Story: Mewtwo cyborg reincarnation

Name: Venovile
Story: Hill pokemon. Would disguise itself as a hill and wait for prey to come wondering over him.

Name: Machitzu
Story: Machop as a ninja...ya.

Name: Erohw
Story: The furry pokemon...lol. Honestly just wanted to see if i could pull it off through splicing alone. (-10 self respect)

Name: Neo Steelix
Story: Simple but awesome. Tron-ish steelix.

Name: (honestly...what would you call this abomination? I saved it as "jeff" so...) Jeff
Story: It hurts my eyes... (-20 self respect)

Name: Machosenone
Story: I was originally going to make a Street Fighter looking pokemon but it ended up going in another direction... end result: this.

Name: Jigglymonster
Story: Love-able bloodthirsty balloon pokemon.

Name: Groudoise
Story: My first splice ever. I would've done more to it but I saved it out as a jpeg by accident and lost the bitmap...sadface.

Name: Pikafett
Story: PIIIIIIIIIKAAFETT

These were all made through splicing and minor recolors. So yes all the parts of each one can be found on different pokemon sprites (though I never made a list of which back when I made them so....ya try and figure them out if you can lol)

Which one is your favorite? Vote now! lol

Using paint is in almost no way a crutch. The two things it lacks is transparent backgrounds and layers. Those features aren't even 'needed'.

Also I'm honestly surprised by the variety of skill amongst these splices. You have some splices with some nice potential and then some that aren't. It's especially surprising you wouldn't know about how to save things right. It's a mistake I wouldn't expect from someone of your caliber.

:) Thank you. Yes my major is actually graphic design XD I use photoshop quite alot. Back when I made these it was just for self benefit out of pure boredom. Hence why in some cases you can see I tried somewhat and in others *cough Jugglymonster/Pikafett* It is rather sloppy. I would've saved in the right format if I had thought about it at the time XD I was kinda set in my "sprite editor" mode, where I'm so used to using bitmap for programs like Rpgmaker and making sprite videos. None of them took me very much time to make, and I am quite aware of Paint's potential (I used to love to make sprite videos frame by frame using Paint and windows movie maker XD) Its obvious to me if I wanted to make more I could make some pretty high quality stuff, I just lack a motive. Though the more I'm brought back to this post I'm starting to want to....

BTW I've never followed pokemon splicing at all. I saw maybe one video showing someone's creations on youtube and it inspired me to mess around with it when I was bored one day. Should I pursue splicing more? :P
