Spoilers to those who never played the game.] This is the ending theme in the game after you defeat Mithos. Although you did beat him, the new world is now in peril with the Seed of the Great Kharlan Tree was dead. Lloyd, believing in the power of his Exsphere grew gigantic Angel Wings and ascended to the dead seed with Colette. With the Eternal Sword in hand, he wished that the Great Seed of Mana was restored. After this, an anime-style cut scene plays where the Kharlan Tree is revived and Martel, now the Summon Spirit of the Great Kharlan Tree, shows Lloyd and Colette the tree in the future. Lloyd has the honor of granting the Tree it's new name and is now guardian of the tree. This is the music that plays in the scene. It truly does sound like a Solemn ending to a very emotional, yet awesome anime. This game in general was like that kind of anime. The plot was amazing, the characters had charm and emotion, and then you get treated to the ending. The ending itself was a great ending, yet you are sad because it means this is the final chapter of this amazing game. The traditional style, combined with the "flute", guitar, and the wonderful voice, further blended with a strange, yet fitting addition of beat-boxing, gives this song a truly unique feel like no other. It reminds me of my visits to Korea, where I walked among the various temples, villages...and bridges. And all the while the bustling modern city was around me. There is something about this song that makes one wonder; that makes one pause the game and just simply listen to the song. It could be the tranquility of the song, in which the listener is transported back in time to when traditions meant more back then than they do now, or perhaps it could just be the hypnotic and peaceful effect this song has on people as they listen. Whatever the case, this song means many different things to many different people, and I'm sure they'd all agree. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'll get lost in the lyrics now. "Ore wa ne kamome ni horeta tasogare oyaji. Aoi umi o nagamete wa naki, aoi minato wa kamome koishikute," which in English would be: "I...am a geezer standing in the dusk, mesmerized by the gulls. Gazing fixedly into the sapphire sea, I bemoan with shed tears, as I yearn for the lovely gulls soaring above the blue harbor." Without a doubt, this song is absolutely beautiful.
