Call it Pokemon Grey, send it to Nintendo, and see if they take it and hand you a hefty paycheck or throw you in the locker. :3

I was actually planning to call it that, but what if Nintendo/Gamefreak or someone with rights claims copyright over the title when/if they make the game.

There are several tools that should help.

I've found
-A map editor
-Text editor
-character editor

Apparently all compatible with B/W

Excellent! But the only DS Map Editor in existence (that I know of) is far from completion. Where may I ask did you find this?

That's a good idea Lief.
Maaaybbeee, while we wait for the pro hackers to work out how B/W works with coding and such, we could do what we are wanting to do on D/P/Pt, as a sort of practice.

There isn't all that much more to do with D/P than B/W. They're both DS games and the code for both is quite complex. The only game series that is at all easy to hack is the Advanced Gen, which is just one block of Binary.

However, there might be enough for us to do to actually pull it off. I'll do some research and tell you guys what I find.

Ok using a practice rom is good also. We could us HG/SS as I have found a 3d code to make it look as it were a BW game plus I could try to find a sprite ripper and rip some of the sprites.

But the game would take much longer since we would be editing it to keep it B/W style.
