[IC] Pokémon Rewind. Arc I [PG15/Started/Not Accepting]

((I meant that aimed at Jane dropping her Pokéball and letting Steelix out.))

Samantha nodded at Jane as Jane left, before turning to face the Students. Although she was the oldest among the people there at the moment, she couldn't help noticing that - although she was the middle height of the Teachers - she seemed to be one of the smallest people when she was among the Students. This new generation must all be very tall. Samantha thought before looking up at the students. "I'm Miss Jenson, as I told you all during the Assembly, and I'm the Pokémon History Teacher. Although it sounds like a seemingly boring Subject, it can be very Enlightening and useful, and if you want a job in Pokémon research you will need this course." Samantha explained, turning and leading the class into the hall. She had only turned two corners before arriving at her Classroom. "And welcome, to my room." Samantha said, beckoning them all into the room.
And the room itself was incredible. At one end of the room there was a long set of Glass doors that led towards a large open field on the side of the Academy, with a permanent supply of Sunlight due to it's southern facing direction. Next to these doors was a large Bookshelf with as many books as you could count, and maybe more, all of which seemed very thick, but none were dusty or seemingly unread. Infact, they all seemed to be in pristine condition and read regularly. If you turned to the right, to face West, you would find a large window which displayed a constant view of the Ocean, along with, at dusk, a beautiful sunset. Underneath this was a small set of draws of which had many contents, the first one having a huge amount of high quality pens, and the one underneath multiple note pads. On either side of the doors were giant boards, one having many images depicting scenes from history, while the other Displayed a map of the world, pointing out the major cities and the Regions themselves. At the eastern side of the Room was a large Black Board with a collection of Chalks hanging in a Basket on a hook underneath, and a large Desk. On this desk was a pile of Large Books and a pen and note pad. On the Notepad were a few notes and scribbles, but most of it was illegible from this angle. There was also an unopened letter nearly falling of the edge. In the middle of the room was a set of Desks, but they seemed the only thing unused in the classroom, and hadn't been sat in for a while.
"I hope you will enjoy your short stay in the School. Next I will be leading you to your dorms, but for now you may ask Questions, as I will not answer any once we reach the dorms." Samantha said.

Regiana was equally impressed with Samantha's classroom. This really does feel like a history classroom. It's much neater than Jane's, at least, she thought. Valena seemed to be thinking the same thing, because she was eagerly perusing her way around, examing every nook and cranny she could find. Regiana wasn't worried that she would cause a fuss of any kind; Valena was well-behaved, she had a certain amount of etiquette that was almost parallel to a human's. Meanwhile, Regiana herself kept quiet - she barely had anything to say, except for the fact that she was somewhat reminded of her father's library, although she saw no neccesity to mention that comparison. Instead, she kept to herself and waited to see whether anyone else had a question.

Regardless he dropped his Pokeball so...
Cage had removed Tyrant from his head for a moment, as he did indeed have a question. The larvitar struggled in the boy's grip, then ceased struggling to allow him to return him. "Uh, I have one." He properly secured the Pokeball this time. Next time you do that, I swear to Arceus I'm going to give you to Regianna... He intended the keep that threat, Tyrant's bad behavior was bearable back home, but here it was more of a liability. "Tomorrow we're going to Seafoam, could you maybe give us a list of Pokemon that appear there?"

Lyla had stopped after about fifty feet of chasing, that Steelix was fast when he was upset. And that Machamp was certainly still in good shape despite being a butler. At this time the duo went back to the hole in the wall. A shadow loomed over them, it was Jane on her Tropius, which was no doubt fast enough. 'She has a very unusual team' Lyla commented, before entering through the wall and finding the classroom deserted. 'Oh dear' she said, looking down the hall. 'Myst, find them quickly' she said to Myst. Her ghost complied, going through walls, and then very quickly returning. He shifted his head to tlel her to follow, which she did down the hall and past two corners. She was about to enter the room, but prefered to stay in the doorway, hopefully to make it seem that she stayed at the back of the group. If not, she could always confess, that usually worked. This was foiled by how entranced she was with the room, it was beautiful, she wondered in further to take a closer look, now at the back of the group.

Blaine nodded when he saw the far more traditional room that they'd walked into. From the look at it, at least this teacher took their class seriously- despite what he'd said earlier about not wanted to be lectured, he did want to learn what he could. He could tell that this this class, while probably not being the most fun of the three, would at least be the most informative.

He chuckled as Nero started observing the classroom closely, the Magby having tucked away his sunglasses somewhere and began waltzing around the area in a sort of curious fashion. He'd be at that for a while, he realized; Nero didn't like to leave any stone unturned when possible.

Since he didn't see much point in interrogating the teacher, he turned his attention to his classmates, and wasn't too surprised to see who he had subbed 'princess' keeping to herself in a corner. As Blaine wasn't one to waste an opportunity, he made his way towards her casually.

"You seem quiet," he said after a little while, still focusing most of his attention on the Magby that was scurrying about.

Noriko couldn't help but sigh in disapointment when the next teacher arrived to take them away. She was hoping to spend a little more time in the class and get to know the teacher a bit better, but she figured there would be enough time to do that when classes actually started. Hopefully the history class would give her information she hadn't already read in books, or heard from the Scientist and history buffs that frequently visited the Fossel Meauseam in Pewter. If not then the class would be painfully boring. When she entered Ms. Sammantha - who was surprisingly short - classroom Noriko was once again surprise by the sheer space of the room. As she looked around the neat room - a great contrast to Ms. Jane's room - her eyes instantly locked themselves onto the bookshelves.

Noriko couldn't help herself and walked over to them scanning over the prestine, and dust free books; a smile slowly stretching itself onto her face. There were countless books she has yet to read, let alone heard of on the shelves. Noriko wanted to know everything she possibly could about pokemon, thats how passionate she was. Any new information she could learn about them was better than all the money in the world, and she knew she wanted to work in a field that cared for them. Though whether she wanted to work in a Pokemon Center, or as a breeder was still up for debate - She was leaning more towards the latter of the two though.

Pixie also took in the new surroundings, but she mostly stayed where the sun was shining in the room the most, enjoying the source of warmth. Pixie would occasionally move but it wouldn't be long before she was right back in the sun. It was then she heard the question the boy who owned the Larvitar - who was called Tyrant by the boy - ask if they would be provided with a list of the pokemon that will be appearing on the Seafoam Island. Noriko thought about it for a bit, considering the geological landscape, the location and the climate - not to mention what she read about he place - before coming up with her own conclusion, and from what she knew and speculated, water pokemon trainers would find that place to be a goldmine.

Regiana looked at Blaine with a blank face, although her mind was turning. What does he want? She cleared her throat, and then said in a tone that was not terribly stiff, "I am quiet because I have nothing to say. I notice I haven't met you before - or seen you, for that matter. I am Regiana Regicalo Regimael Ice, daughter of the Ice Master. Did you walk here, perchance?" She took the time between her question and Blaine's answer to peruse his appearance; there was something about him that made her naturally inclined to dislike him. She could not agree with his choice of clothes, his initial deportment, and she wasn't sure whether she would like his mannerisms or not. She couldn't say much for personality for now, but her judgement was quick to tell her that he may just make himself very disagreeable with her.

She followed his glare, and she too watched the Magby. She was presuming that was his - either that, or he was a bit twisted. Either way, her curiosity momentarily also rested on the Magby, but it was quickly diverted when Valena darted back to her side.

Sam, being who he was, had already crossed the room and grabbed a book off it's shelf, taking a moment to quickly peruse it while Seth bounded off to join Pixie in the sunlight. "Wow..." The boy murmured. "The Historie of All Pokemon in Kanto..." He said, reading the title. Hearing Cage's question, he quickly flipped through the book until he apparently found what he was looking for, saying-

"The Seafoam Islands apparently hosts a multitude of Ice and Water Pokemon, 'including, but not limited to, Seel, Horsea, and Shellder, along with several other naturally cave-dwelling Pokemon, such as Zubat.'" Sam recited, his hand following the text of a chapter in the book marked "Cinnabar Island and surrounding Landforms". He turned to look at Samantha, saying, "Is that correct, Ms. Jensen?"

Blaine chuckled a bit, grinning a little in a sly way. "Nonsense, everyone has something to say, it's whether they bother to express it or not's the problem. See, I like information, so I tend to express a lot of what I have to say,"

He spared a glance as Nero stopped his investigation to climb up on a table, the sunglasses perched miraculously on his face again. The young salamander looked around the room with an air of superiority, examining the pokemon around him with that unmistakable look...

He decided that if Nero wanted to pick a fight with one of the others, he probably wouldn't intervene. It was always good for a man to get into a tussle or two, and Nero'd been born for battle- learning to fight independent of his trainer would no doubt do him a world of good.

"In any case, it's not too surprising you haven't seen me around. We've barely been here twenty minutes," he continued in a straight flow to Regiana, before outstretching an open hand.

"Name's Blaine Dominic Cinnabar," He considered bringing attention to the relative prestige of his last name in order to mirror her title, but thought against it quickly. Though Blaine may be arrogant, he wasn't particularly proud of his family, even if was technically of rather high Kanto prestige, "And nah, I drove."

Regiana had been right to think she wouldn't like him. The longer she spent talking, the more she found him not at all to his taste. Nevertheless, they were going to be classmates, so why make a breech and make life difficult for oneself? No matter how much she may dislike him, she was cunning enough to judge him as somebody you would not want to get on the wrong side of.

She took his hand; so, he was a membr of the Cinnabar family. She acted as though there was nothing particularly extraordinary about his surname - she was used to a society where every person had some kind of prestigious attached to them anyway. In fact, now that she knew his whole name, it only seemed to make her dislike him even more; such were the joys of an upper class, respected lady looking down on others that were also upper class and respected, and very much in her league, if not her equal.

"I presume that Magby is yours?" Regiana suddenly asked, as her attention was once again on Nero.

I see we have a clever one here. He could become something incredible. Miss Jenson thought, while listening to Sam recite the list of Pokémon. She smiled and nodded. "They are all correct, although Seafoam has a much larger variety of Pokémon than that. Infact, I think I wrote a list of catchable pokémon as deep down as we are going. As far as we go down, there will, most likely, be no evolved forms of Pokémon. We may have a couple, but I advise all of you to stay away from them. If any attack, we teachers will deal with them." Miss Jenson replied, walking over to her desk and opening one of the draws. She shuffled around in it for a few seconds before smiling again and pulling out a large sheet of Paper. "If you ever want to check what pokémon you can catch consult this list." Miss Jenson stated, grabbing a pin as she walked away from her desk. She pinned the paper against the board on the left hand side of the door and looked it up and down, before turning back to the class. "As well as the Pokémon there, it also states where about they live within and around the cave. So I'd advise consulting it if you wish to catch a certain Pokémon." Miss Jenson said, before walking back to the front of the crowd. "Any more questions? Because if not, then we can go to the dorms."

Noriko stayed by the bookcase as almost every student went to go look at the list of pokemon avaliable at Seafoam Island. She didn't need to look because from the type of terrain and climate she had a good guess of what was there, besides there were too many people over there. It would be pointless to try and squeeze her way through that. Taking a quick glance at Pixie she saw that a Growlithe - obviously Sam's - had joined her, and she was currently laying beside the pokemon. It would be interesting to see what happens over there, statistically it should be challenging for her seeing as she has a fire-type and the island had majority of water-type pokemon. Even so, she already knew what she would be setting after - either a Smoochum or a Corsweet. Though with that comes the danger of angering the mothers of the two baby pokemon...That would be problamatic if one of them attacked Pixie.

Not to mention both pokemon are located within caves, so it would make it harder to find one that was far enough away from the mother. And if a Jynx, or Corsala did notice her then there wouldn't be too many places for them to run. Noriko sighed slightly and placed her hand under her chin, and resting the elbow in the other hand. Looks like she had her work cut out for her on the trip. Either way her chances weren't looking to good, and if she was to guestimate the percentage it wouldn't be more than....12.6%? "And that's being nice..." She mumbled to herself.

Blaine nodded with a smile. "My pride and joy, Nero. He's just a tyke, but the guy has a fire in his heart I haven't seen in many other pokemon; I'm lucky to have him."

He noticed the white, foxlike creature around her feet, wearing some sort of headpiece by her feet. The species was unfamiliar to Blaine, which he noted with a little bit of surprise- it even took him a second to discern the jewelry adorning its head wasn't natural, and that the twists of her tail actually were.

"And she yours?" he said with a brief gesture. He touched his sunglasses briefly, which was his usual response to finding something that briefly confounded him. "Afraid I'm not familiar with the species," he murmured as he stooped down to get a closer look, though he of course avoided touching her. There was nothing more that Blaine hated than inept people assuming they knew how to take care of specialized pokemon, and for all he knew, he was looking at a species that hated to be touched.

"Valena? She is an Arctix; I wouldn't be surprised if you said you have never seen her before, they're very rare around these parts - almost non-existent, in fact. They are much more common where Regism is the dominant religion." Regiana stiffened for a moment; she hated saying that word, because of course, she was a Gigagas. "Valena's twisted tail is natural to them, but not the headpiece - that has to be there because of my position within the religion."

She left Blaine to carefully examine Valena, and instead returned her focus on Nero. "So, you're Magby's called Nero? He's sweet, but I would never dream of owning a pure Fire-type. Mind you, Fire-types generally don't take my fancy, although having a Charizard would be nice. Then I wouldn't have to walk everywhere." The last few sentences were enough to indicate that Regiana was not exactly a Regist, although it was only prominent to those who knew what divided a Regist from a Gigagas.

Lyla wasn't even going to bother with the list. Frankly, she knew a bit about those islands, specifically the caverns. For within the caverns would be her next Pokemon, a Zubat. She felt at her bow for a bit. One of her favoured Pokemon was Crobats. The reason behind this was simple, in the few rare instances many of the bat pokemon would roost in parts of the tower during the day, only to move on at night. It was her dream to finally get a Crobat, who is formed from the care and love a trainer shares with their pokemon. Sure, a Tentacool would be nice. But one of those can be gotten at any moment, the same does go for Zubat. But she would prefer Zubat.

Cage rolled his eyes under the cover of his shades. Obviously there's going to be water types, what do I look like, an idiot? he thought to himself. Well, that was that. He officially had a small grudge against Sam, and will enjoy putting him in his place come the battles. As for the list of Pokemon, he was slightly dissapointed. Besides the obvious water ones, the few cavern ones and flying types were of no interest to him. If anything he would settle with a Spearow. He had a special place in his heart for Spearows, his father owned one, or well, it's evolution. The rare times he did come to visit he was always seen with his Fearow. Due to the nature of these special visits, Cage had always liked Spearow and Fearows, they reminded him of his dad. While the memories weren't always pleasant, at least they were something.

That being said, he might as well catch a water Pokemon now. Spearows were rather common, he could catch one later. The few Pokemon that did catch his attention were Shellder, Corsweet, and Staryu. Shellder would be a great asset for his team, when it evolved it would be one hell of a wall. Corsweet was part rock, a type he had a rather large affinity for. Staryu was... Well it was different. There weren't much trainers that would catch a Staryu, especially when there were much 'cooler' Pokemon like Gyarados, (arceus knows the majority of trainers would put up with training a Magikarp just for that monster of a Pokemon) Milotic, Dewgong, Slowbro, and Golduck. There weren't much 'professional trainers' with a Starmie.

Not to mention he could probably use it as a throwing star.

...That would be awesome.

Amaya had been standing in silence, drifting in and out of day dreams this whole time but she had been able to make it quite quickly to the front of the crowd to check the list. Many students were murmuring about what they wanted to catch and some groaning in disapointment seeing what they'd like couldnät be found at the islands. Personally she didn't care much what she would catch, but she did want to catch something from within the caves as they were tied to the legend of Articuno. She like legends, mythology and history and having a pokémon that was caught at the site of a myth or legend would be just fantastic!

She eyed the list for a while and then crinkled her nose a little in though before turning to the teacher. "Excuse me, but I though there were a colony of Spheals living in the cave. I know I've heard stories about them, but they don't seem to be on the list" She said, looking at the teacher. Perhaps the Spheals were located further inside the cave so that was why they hadn't be added to the list.

((OOC: I did this because I realized Spheal should be able to live within the caves. They're native to Ice pokémon but I'll let Magnet decide on why they're not on the list becase I don't want to dictate ;D))

Sam had not noticed Cage's eye-rolling, and not just because they were covered by shades; Sam, for the last minute or so, had been debating which Pokemon he wanted, and had tuned out everyone around him. However, he was faintly aware of the question Amaya had asked, and for a minute wondered if he wanted a Spheal.

No, Sam had not ever really liked Ice Pokemon- their defenses were too weak for his tastes, being weak to Fighting, Fire, Rock, and Steel and only resistant to themselves, if he remembered correctly. True, the Fire and Rock weakness would be evened out by Spheal's Water nature, but still...who would take the risk? Sam liked a Pokemon that had good attacks, like Ice Pokemon did, but he also wanted one that could take a couple of blows as well. Sam shelved the idea of catching a Spheal for the time being and turned to the rest of the list.

Hm...Having a Plasseia would be nice, if only for the fact he had read next to nothing about them and it would be something new for him, but they were dangerous for that same thing; how would he know what moves they know? How to treat them? What food they like? No, he wanted something a little closer to home for his starting out Pokemon...now, a Tentacool or a Horsea, he could live with. The latter he particularly liked because of the fact, in later evolutions, it would become a Dragon/Water type, which could be usual. However, this would take a while...well, Sam finally decided, I guess I'll pick what Pokemon I want when I get there.

Sam blinked and managed to catch the last of Miss Jensen's sentence. "Dorms? Do we have dormmates? If so, have they been assigned, or shall be pick our own?" Clearly, Sam was one with many questions...

Blaine gave a wry smile and chuckled a little to himself.

"Is that so? Well, you could call me a bit of a fire-type enthusiast," he said after a couple moments, rising up after having observed Valena sufficiently, "Though even I can tell she's a beautiful creature. Funny, I've read a fair bit and never came across of mention of something called an Artix..."

He frowned a little, "The information barrier between countries really is disappointing," but decided not to harp on the topic. He had caught the brief mention of her 'position' within the religion -evidently, this Princess could very well be a Princess- but figured it would be more tactful to avoid directly interrogating her.

He smiled again. Despite his rugged clothing and attempts at seeming aloof, it was difficult for Blaine not to smile a lot- after all, there was always something to smile at. He could tell it wrecked with his image, but he really couldn't help being built of positive energy- it was in his nature to smile.

"So, what brings you all the way to the school in Cinnabar, then?" he asked casually. "It's a bit out of the way, innit?"

Noriko was still tryign to find a way to possibly get pass the evolved pokemon of Corsweet, and Smoochum, when she heard Sam ask yet another question. It was about having dormmates, and she instantly tuned in to Ms. Jensen's answer. Would they be having dormmates? If so she hoped it would be with someone who was a bit more talkative. Maybe Sophie, she seemed nice and Noriko would love to learn more about Roggenrola. She had never seen that pokemon before until today, and any chance to learn more about it would be cool. Noriko knew she was jumping the gun, so instead decided to simply listen.

"I came here because I need to breathe," Regiana answered Blaine coolly. Any comparison between her coolness and the air trapped in Valena's tail would have been very appropriate and certainly accurate. Inside, Regiana was certain struggling somehow, but she kept her composure. She involuntarily arched back slightly, which only made her look even more stuck up. "What about you? I really doubt you're here just because of your family connections." She glanced quizically at him, and there was almost an intricately genuine moment that she actually cared for once.

Cage groaned to himself at the mention of dorms, normally that would be great, as it meant there was time for more socializing, but given the people present... Well, he could do without having to talk to any of them for a while. A long while. He decided to let Tyrant out for a while, the larvitar had done it's time. With a twist and a click, he was released back into the world. The first thing he did was glare at Cage, who promptly ignored him and walked towards the exit, propping himself against the wall beside it. With his master preoccupied, Tyrant decided to once again explore his surroundings. There was a Magby nearby, but he didn't seem all to interesting and fire types were always so damn feisty anyways. The Artix from earlier was there, and he was tempted to give it a good bite to the tail, but decided against it. The Roggenrola was nowhere to be found, which dissapointed him, but there was an unfamiliar Vulpix.

Blaine had to smirk at the mention of 'family connections'; if his family had anything to say about it, he wouldn't be here at all. To the rich elite of Cinnabar, at the very least, training pokemon was a task for 'lesser' people- people who didn't have anything better to do, or any places to go.

"Hm? Oh, it's simple. I love pokemon, and I hate paperwork. Studying them is fine and all, but I'm not satisfied with memorizing out of textbooks," he said with a breezy air, as if he were thinking about it even as he spoke about it. Despite what he said, Blaine didn't totally hate paperwork- he loved reading textbooks, reports and accounts, memorizing facts and diagrams and numbers. But at the same time, it was obvious that that wasn't all there was.

Besides, it just felt right. Travelling alongside a pokemon to wherever the wind might drift him, free of responsibilities... it appealed to every fiber of his being, really. Blaine'd been trapped for far longer than he'd liked- trapped by his family, trapped by the walls of water on every side of the island. Trapped by expectations.

Blaine had decided he wouldn't be trapped anymore.

"You needed to breathe, eh?" he said with a chuckle, his bright expression turned a little more optimistic with humor. "I like that way of putting it. Sometimes you just need to take a walk from everything."

Regiana nodded. For that moment - just that moment - she felt she could sympathise with Blaine. No matter how different they were, they were, at the core, the same - getting away from the uptight, demanding society that was the upper classes.

It was perhaps for this reason that Regiana fell silent, though it was the unnatural type - the reflective type. She looked down at Valena, and vice versa; suddenly, there was an impulse to rip off the headpiece. But for now, Regiana restrained herself - if she was going to do it, she would rather keep it private.

"Yeah, I guess I do need to get away for a while." She looked at him, and tried to catch any glimpse of his eyes from behind those shades. "Of course, I do want my own life with Pokemon, away from my family. It's mainly for the health of our family anyway..."

Miss Jenson chuckled a bit looking towards Amaya. "If you fancy having to fight angry Walrien, yes. They live on the deepest section that we are going to go tommorrow, but they are very good at hiding and can be easily angered. I wouldn't mind you trying to catch a Spheal, if you take along a person to accompany you. It is too risky to go alone when dealing with pokémon that strong." Miss Jenson explained, turning towards the door and opening it slowly. "Now, since I presume no-one else has any questions, we shall be going to the dorms. As for all questions about the dorms, there are two sections. There is a boys section, and a girls section, and each room can contain up to 4 people. You may pick your own Dormmates." Miss Jenson stated, before leaving the classroom, followed by the class. They walked across a large section of hallways and a small field to a smallish building away from the Main School Building. "This is the Dorm Building, along with the field around it. On this field you may do whatever you wish, as long as it is within reason, and you are strictly prohibited from capturing wild Pokémon." Miss Jenson said, walking inside the building. The main room was quite bland, with a Single large window overlooking the ocean, a couple of bookshelves propped up against the wall and a small TV in the middle of the two staircases. There were a multitude of Arm Chair situated around the room and a large sofa infront of the small TV. "The Staircase on the right leads to the boys corridors, and the left to the girls. The doors at the top of the staircases will be locked at Ten Pm, and unlocked at 6am. So....." With this, Miss Jenson looked towards the small group of Boys. "....no Midnight Mingling. If you get what I mean."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Micky chuckled at Miss Jenson's last Statement, looking towards the other two. "Guess they've got us figured out. Well, we've always got the windows." He joked, grinning. He looked over towards Amaya for a second, and since she was probably planning on having a Spheal, he wondered who she'd pick for the partner. And he hoped it was him - although he doubted it.
